"Yes, thank you very much." Mitsu found that her voice was doing pretty well at the moment. Perhaps they needed to buy some of the tea Ayumi had to take with them.
Retreating to their room Mitsu changed into her pajamas, shorts with a long sleeved top to cover her arms. Once she was ready she looked down at Shun as he settled down on his bed roll and smiled as she pulled back the blanket to snuggle in with him. "She really is. I'm glad we came to see her."
She wiggled down until she found just the right spot pressed up against him that was the most comfortable. "I wish I knew why she looks so familiar." Mitsu said with a yawn already feeling sleepy from all the traveling they had done that day. "There is just something about...her eyes." Mitsu settled on.

Nodding quietly to Mitsu, Shun settled down, lightly wrapping his arms around his lycan as she joined him. Feeling rather comfortable like this, he let himself relax while thinking over what she was saying regarding Ayumi.
"Her eyes?" he repeated, "Yeah, I think you might be right. It's still kind of strange..."
He mulled it over a little longer, but then shrugged it off. They probably wouldn't really figure it out any time soon.
"Come on, lets get some rest. Another big day tomorrow."
Sure enough, morning came around after a night of sleeping very well. The air was pretty clear and brisk as he began to walk on towards the temple at the back of the town. A few others from the village were making their way towards it as well, for one reason or another. The Reaper was rather curious what the inside was like. Not just its appearance, but also how it felt. After all, there were those who said that the temple helped those with questions find their answers.

There was a slow lazy nod as Mitsu settled in comfortably with her eyes closed already being lulled to sleep. Sleep hadn't come easy at school but it seemed with the combination of travel and being close to her reaper she was out in no time.
The lycan managed to sleep the majority of the night and woke feeling rather refreshed and awake. After getting ready she followed Shun toward the temple he had pointed out before noting the others, mostly ghosts, heading in the same direction.
"What is the story?" Mitsu asked nodding her head toward the temple so Shun knew what she was talking about.

Walking towards the temple, Shun glanced to the side as he heard Mitsu's question, noticing where her gaze was staring towards.
"People around go to this place in seek of answers. They say the temple.. .something about it.. helps those who visit find them. I don't know too many details on it, but that's what I've heard," he replied before pausing at the steps of the stairs leading up.
"I don't know if what they say is true, but people do claim they come away feeling better or at least.. more at ease."
The Reaper shrugged lightly, then continued on inside. The scent of some sort of incense wafted through the air. The temple itself was dimly lit. There were no windows, but a number of candles floated overhead. A number of ornate statues were about, though there were four main ones. Several temple monks were chanting something softly.

Turning toward the temple as they approached Mitsu took in Shun's explanation wondering if it was true. Had Shun been hoping for answers before? And for what questions? Would Mitsu find answers of her own? Though as she thought about it she really didn't know what kind of questions she had. She had just started to piece her life back together now and it was too confusing to ask the little things like did this matter or what will I do about this?
Instead when she entered the temple she was instantly choked by the amount of incense, her sensitive nose burning and her eyes watering slightly. She tried to keep her visible appearance of discomfort to a minimum. With a little bit of time she would adjust just like she had on conquest isle but for now it was slow shallow breathing.
Walking in a little further Mitsu's eyes focused on the monks chanting away something soft and mostly inaudible. She stared at them for a long moment before she looked to Shun wondering if he felt any different.

Shun could hear the way Mitsu was breathing behind him, given how quiet the place was in general. Turning around, he furrowed his brow. Was the smoke bothering her? ... Probably. That nose of hers was pretty sensitive. With a light frown, he reached for her hand and motioned towards some pads on the floor. A few of the other patrons of the temple were kneeling down. Meditating maybe? Or maybe just relaxing. The incense did seem to relax his muscles in a way.
Deciding that they should spend some time here, he took in a deep breath and knelt onto the ground as well. Would this place help find answers? He had no clue.
He closed his good eye, allowing himself to relax further in the meantime.

When Shun turned toward her she tried to give him a reassuring smile to let him know she would be okay. He had wanted to come here and she would stick it out as long as he felt the need to stay. When he reached for her hand she saw him motion to the mats on the floor and made her way over with him. A number of people were already kneeling in a state of trance or meditation.
Shun took a seat and Mitsu slowly followed kneeling down next to him on her own mat. She kept her legs tucked underneath her looking around the temple at the different people before looking to Shun again. He had worked with her on meditation and she had improved a little. Focusing for long was still hard but she figured it was worth a try. With a slightly deeper breath, a cough, and a small wheeze, Mitsu closed her eyes and tried to relax.
What was it she wanted to know or find? The point of this trip was to get away from the school and the random dangers that lurked about. It was about finding herself again and trying to mend what was broken. Was it even possible? Mitsu felt she was doing better but wasn't sure she would ever quite be the same as she was. No matter how far she went what had happened would never truly fade from her mind just as it wouldn't fade from her skin.

To be fair, Shun wasn't entirely certain of the questions he had right now. Well.. there was the fact that he wasn't sure if he could really keep Mitsu safe. If he'd really be able to help her. He desperately wanted to. It wasn't fair for her to have to live in constant fear. If something big happened again, what could he do to try and shield her?
The Reaper's eye cracked open slowly and he turned to look at the lycan. His lycan.
For a few moments, he watched her as she attempted to relax.
Well... there really was only one or two things he could do when danger or troubled times arose. He had to be there for her in any way possible. He had to do whatever he could to try and make sure they both came away from it alright. Would that really be enough?
The Reaper looked towards the ground momentarily, then back to the one beside him. Slowly, he reached over to take her hand, squeezing it gently. He didn't know what was going on through her mind, but it didn't really matter to him.

As her moments of meditation usually went her thoughts got muddled. Between trying to figure out how to get passed her problems and not disappoint Shun she was becoming lost and riddled with anxiety. That all soothed away as soon as she felt the touch of a warm hand against her own, squeezing her fingers gently in comfort. She knew the hand that held her well even with her eyes closed and she found herself smiling softly as her nerves began to calm.
In his own way he was always there. Shun always felt like he needed to do more but it was the simple things that he did that he didn't have to try to do that mattered the most to her. The fact that he was there, that he held her, still loved her. It helped to ease the pain little by little and maybe this trip would help her focus on that more.
A little while passed before Mitsu experimentally opened one large crimson eye to look at her reaper to see if he was still meditating. It seemed she was no longer focusing like she should.

Shun wasn't meditating. He was just watching Mitsu quietly when he saw her crack an eye open. There was a faint smile upon his lips as he could also see her smiling a little herself. Squeezing her hand again, he soon glanced towards the door before slowly standing up. It seemed like they were both done here. Though, he didn't say anything yet. He waited until they were outside that he spoke up.
"Did you find any answers?" he asked her curiously while shifting the bag he carried back into place.

As they left Mitsu tilted her head in thought mulling over the question. "Perhaps." She smiled squeezing his hand lightly. Meditation or even a time to think things over in depth was always interesting and gave her a different perspective. Sometimes it was good and sometimes it was bad but Mitsu found she might have pulled through with a positive experience this time.
"What about you?"

The Reaper had to think about that as well.
"Perhaps as well," he said. He thought it over some more. The things that came to mind.. he wasn't really sure if he would call them an answer, but they were certainly something.
"I just want to say.. no matter what.. I will be there for you however I can.." he uttered, getting that off his chest for the time being. Shun paused for a moment to peer at his lycan, then looked around the town area in general.
"Are you ready to try and head elsewhere?" he asked.

Mitsu smiled again nodding at Shun's declaration before adding something of her own. "I'll do my best for you." She didn't explain what she would do her best at but it could be any number of things. For now she simply left it at that while looking to the outskirts of town.
"Okay, do you want to tell Ayumi goodbye before we go?"

Shun tilted his head at her for the moment, but shrugged it off. He wasn't sure what she was referring to exactly, but it didn't matter all too much. Taking in a deep breath, he soon nodded quietly at the question regarding Ayumi. She had shown them great kindness here, so it seemed only right to bid her farewell before they move on their way.
The moment was a fairly brief one. The Reaper thanked the ghost woman with a bow, then told her that they were going to head on out.
"Very well. Take care you two. Should you ever be in the area again, please stop by. I would be happy to have you again," she replied softly.

The ghost had indeed been kind and Mitsu felt it was only right to bid her farewell before they left. It was short and even though Mitsu had only met her shortly she was certainly going to miss the woman. She bowed her head respectfully as well looking between the ghost and Shun again. It was too bad they couldn't figure out why she seemed so familiar to them both.
With a final bow and a wave Mitsu reached out her hand for Shun's. Ziggy had been tucked away in her backpack where the feline seemed to cozy down and like to sleep. At least now Mitsu had a way of letting her out while they were walking around without worry that she would spring at Shun and she wouldn't be able to catch her.
As they left Mitsu looked back at Ayumi's house one final time before it was out of view. "She was really nice. We should visit again and bring her something for letting us stay."
