EvvieEvvie looked to the guards and nodded, a silent dismissal to them all. She looked back to Kira as the room cleared. "Is there any other information we might need to know that wasn't included in this letter?" she asked.

EvvieEvvie sighed, storing the letter in her book. "Good to know. We once were in alliance talks with Mau before the war and the loss of your last rulers. I'm sure our lady would be thrilled to try and reclaim those lands form the pirates." She handed Kira a key. "This is a room at the inn in town. We'll have to wait for tomorrow to set you up with housing. You are free to find our teachers in the training grounds if you'd like to do that instead."

She took the key and pocketed it without looking down. She would likely hold on to this key to use well into the future. A free room was nice to have in a town. ♦••••♦••••♦••••♦••••♦ •••• Dodges: 4/4 •••• Distance: 50 ft or ten jump Nation: Azumareth XXXXFaction: noneXXXXDeity: Otokoyo XX•••••••••••••••• •••• Skills Used: (The skills that your character used or are active during the current post. EvvieEvvie chuckled a moment. "I think the Inn might be appropriately named for your situation. Head up the main road and you'll see it. The Brand New Day Inn." She pulled out a small folded map. "Here's so you can get around the city while you're here. Hopefully our lady returns soon from wherever she went this time to see you herself."

The Anima had worn an unusually large grin on his face the entire time he and Farah had been walking to the Palace, bickering lightly with his fellow Anima as they approached. For a change, his thoughts were not at all of his past, nor even the possible calamities of the future. The souls within him seemed silenced, his mind focused on nothing but the moments before him as he looked upon the palace grounds beginning grinning at Farah. "You aren't going to lay down the whole "High Knight" thing about me, are you? I had hoped to at least keep it on the down-low for a while longer." He smirked at her playfully as he walked deftly over some of the steps leading up the main palace, the floors shining as if they were cleaned that very morning and looking pristine even after his black boots hit it. "I've only been on Rykros for a little over two and a half months now," he said suddenly without thinking as a thoughtful look came over him while they continued walking. The thought of his exile began to pain him less often, oddly even more so now as the Omen had found another out-lander like himself to consort with. "I was lucky that the ruler before me was the spitting image of myself and was both Anima and Voidsworn, and that upon my arrival they acknowledged me as some kind of Omen..." They arrived at the palace entrance to find a large room full of ornate pillars and chairs as one of the attendants approached them. Kinetav bowed as usual from respect as he spoke kindly, "We have come on Evvie's request. Please let her know that both I and Farah O'Roarke have arrived." Rising back up and done with the formalities, he stood and waited as he looked around in contemplation. A million different questions flew through his mind, so many things that could be asked he felt like it might take years just to answer them all...and yet he was okay with that thought. His grey eyes looked on Farah again, his stance was that of questioning; his tone that of a slight bewilderment as he spoke, "To come upon another of our kind was unthinkable after the death of Lord Krayth, the same fight he fell in making me the Knight of the Devil's Eye Desert by reward. It's refreshing to be able to speak to someone I relate, for I too came from another world which cast me out because of my race. Technically, I was sentenced to death by exile for it. They would fain try to slaughter me again did they know of my current well=being. Will you tell me more about Iraliat and your history in it? I shall tell you of my home world as well, of course." ♦••••♦••••♦••••♦••••♦ •••• Dodges: 8/8 •••• Distance: Up to 100 Skills Used: Skills in Use: Cooldowns:

It was so nice that she forgot to be on guard the whole time. It was just too easy to see Kinetav as another Anima, as a warrior, as a person. Instead of the monster she automatically tended to think all men hid within themselves. He was witty and easygoing for the duration of the walk bickering with her about his silly titles and all the pomp and circumstance that came with them. It made her feel like less of an outsider, less of a freak to have a normal conversation with one of her own kind. She even forgot to blush as he smiled at her the entire time or at least she hoped she did. Come to think of it, her face was a little sore, she wasn't much accustomed to smiling. She worried her face might become stuck in a smile if she couldn't wipe it off her face anytime soon, it would be difficult to look intimidating if she had a stupid grin on her face. Oh well. "Please Kinetav you wound me!" she laughed, "Of course I shall tell them! I even brought parchment just in case they wanted your autograph." She teased him with a big smile and kept pace as he told her of his own arrival to Rykros. After what seemed like only minutes they were walking up pristine steps to a truly magnificent and beautiful castle. Farah came to a dead stop on the steps. She had been too busy listening to Kinetav speak of his past to notice they were at a castle. Her former life, torture and escape flashed quickly before her eyes and she took a moment to compose herself. This was NOT Irialot and he was dead. No one would ever imprison her again. After battling through that, in moments she was alright again and caught up to Kinetav as he entered the elaborate castle. She fussed with her hair and brushed random leaves from her clothes, feeling ridiculously under dressed and wishing she had at least a dress. She was fidgeting uncomfortably aware of her lack of fine clothes and also attempting to repress memories when Kinetav snapped out of his quiet spell and seemed curious and almost hopeful as he told her of what was obviously his most painful past. If only he knew how much they could relate... and yet how much of her former life he wouldn't be able to understand. She was torn, he seemed almost sweet, despite being a clearly lethal Anima, as he was talking to her about his own painful past. She didn't want to offend him by not sharing as he did, neither did she want to tell him of her shameful life. Certain that he would think her weak if he knew what had been done to her, despite her race. She decided to compromise. "Kinetav you have been kind in sharing some of your history with me, of course I will tell you some of my own, but please understand that all my memories of my former life are... painful and truly are best left forgotten." She paced a little as she continued quietly. "I was raised in a gilded cage, on Irialot which is a wealthy but horribly dirty and male dominated planet. My father despised me for the death of my mother during my birth. I grew up in fear of what I truly was. When I was 15 a man attacked me and caused my first kills, as a result of that, I ran away and spent a few years in hiding." Taking a shaking breath and running her hands through her hair she composed herself and finished the very edited story of her life. "Finally I met our great mother and she was kind enough to get me here after I killed someone rather famous. I too would be killed on sight if they knew I was alive and well. People can be so very cruel... it really is idiotic that they fear and hate us so, when they are the ones that have all but made our race extinct don't you think?" Farah felt bad that she had edited her own story, but the last thing she wanted was for this amazing warrior and tentative friend to think her a weak, spiteful, female monster. And she had yet to meet anyone that didn't think that when they discovered the truth. She just wanted to start over. Smiling at him, a little relieved that that was over, she hoped once again that this was the planet where she would get her second chance at life. ♦••••♦••••♦••••♦••••♦ •••• Dodges: 4/ 4 •••• Distance: 0/50 Nation: Ernya XXXX XXXX XX•••••••••••••••• •••• Skills Used: N/A

From both her fidgeting and combing of her she was clearly at unease, even during her soft and solemn speech about her homeland; it fascinated him that even with their reasons for being hated were different, they shared the same fear of themselves and their power getting the best of them. It had been certainly hard for her to speak of her past, but the Anima appreciated it a lot as he reminisced about what he might have missed out on if he did not share the exile that he was in. Her home world reminded him of his own as well, save for the male-dominated part...with regards to dominance of the sexes it was quite even, he mused to himself as he thought of the chamber in which he had been condemned to exile. Her question to him made him stop and ponder a little, looking at the ground as his eyes darted around thinking of the best course and response for a few seconds as he steeled himself and his response. "I believe that I would take it farther, Farah," the Omen spoke without any sign of doubt as he looked back towards her, "and say that their fear drove us away from any possibility of being what they consider 'holy' at all. I know that we both have our reasons for becoming Voidsworn. After half a decade on the run through the help of others, with the hunger starting at age 12 and many people dying for my own survival, I knew that even a basic existence would require power that the sanctum would not grant me because of our race. Ba'Shev granted that to me at the cost of many more innocent and guilty souls..." Farah's smile at him made him smile right back as he ended his speech, perking back up. "But enough of this dullness, we are here in the grand palace! Yet..." he grinned at her, "you seem a little tense. I can tell that formalities do not work well with you, which is great for a member of the Devil's Eye Desert. Want to know our formal attire? Allow me to show you, I think you'd enjoy it and realize that we are truly a more relaxed society than that of Ernya or really any other nation when it comes to attire. It is only recently that we've acquired this ability to shift into armor." With a hand reaching carefully and slowly down to Edge, a slow ringing of metal against metal was heard as the Exodus was drawn; placing the red gem with the bloody mist swirling in it on his chest as if it was the central ornament, the dark metal exploded outward as he entire body from his collarbone and down was enveloped in darkness. It continued to twist and writhe as it continued, the Omen still smiling at Farah in an attempt to keep her calm should she freak out. ”….and to the Shadow, we will return.” ║ ║║║║║║ ║║║║║║ ║║║║║║ ║║║║║║ ║║║║║║ ║║║║║║ ║║║║║║ ║║║║║║ ║║║║║║ ║║║║║║ ║║║║║║ To the Infinite Dark I scream An Oath that no man or immortal may break I am permanently condemned in the first place

He was absolutely right. Looking into their pasts, even the edited short versions showed more clearly than words that they hadn't stood a chance at happiness in their worlds. From the moment they were born as Anima, they were condemned and sentenced to being unhappy or killed. He seemed almost afraid that she would be offended by his bold claim but all she did was give him a tiny bow from the waist and smile even more broadly. This time the smile touched the whole of her face, she wondered how silly she must look in these ridiculous clothes, her hair a mess, covered in forest, with a huge smile on her face. She decided she didn't care."Pierce I think we actually found another living being that understands. I mean certainly he wont understand everything... but he understands." She mind whispered to Pierce with hope and slight uncertainty in her voice. "well honestly it was bound to happen at some point Gecko." Pierce winked at her from the corner of her mind. "Lets just be happy he's a friendly and happy bloke to boot! His looks don't hurt either. I'm sure hes just as insane as you are... so today's a good day, all in all."Farah was only blushing a little when she looked back at Kinetav and only raised an eyebrow as he began teasing her about her fussing and fidgeting. When he offered to show her clothes from his nation she almost laughed aloud. It was obvious that he had developed great affection for the place that he now called home. The idea of him stripping and changing into dessert clothes in the middle of the foyer in a palace seemed absurd however. As soon as his hand shifted down Farah's hand was automatically on Pierce's handle at the small of her back. She blinked and realized that she had moved without even having conscious thought. Shaking her head she put both her hands back at her sides and watched him pull out his exodus. "Jeeze good thing he was moving slowly... huh Pierce?" Pierce only snorted in reply. She smiled as Kinetav lifted it to his chest and then still remained smiling as his exodus exploded all over him. Farah merely lifted an eyebrow and resisted the silly urge to touch his exodus. She was curious as to what it would feel like to have one's exodus covering them from the neck down. Naturally this led to her blushing once more. ♦••••♦••••♦••••♦••••♦ •••• Dodges: 4/ 4 •••• Distance: 0/50 Nation: Ernya XXXX XXXX XX•••••••••••••••• •••• Skills Used: N/A

EvvieEvvie rounded the corner, large book in hand. A half dozen scholars, all bearing the amulet from the Mage's Guild, trailed behind her trying to peer over her shoulder. Looking up, she spotted Kinetav and Farah. "Kinetav! There you are! The guards said you would be here. Please follow me." She turned around, making the group of scholars open a path for her to return where she had came from. She moved towards the throne room.

The red jewel that hung from around his neck was the only ornate part about his attire as all of it seemed slightly better than the average material yet it possessed the feel of silk to it as the Omen clearly relaxed, not feeling the usual metallic clinging of his armor to his skin. Small, dark red glowing tribal marks connected from one to the other in a non-symmetrical and almost lazy fashion all over the robe, certainly appearing to be the garb of a wilder back from the Devil's Eye Desert. The only symmetrical mark that the asymmetrical ones were attached to was on the back of the robe, a mark known only to himself at the time (see pic below). "All that's missing now is the soothsayer playing her music back at the old Sky Basin tavern and the other wilders to dance with us to it," Kinetav chuckled with a smile as he raised up his arms and looked down at his garb, "is it nice enough?" Before he was able to hear Farah's answer, a familiar voice called to him and spun him around with his back to Farah as he sighted Evvie along with her usual posse of eager little scholars. Imagine six little students following you around all the time, 'Omen'... Kinetav shook his head mentally, especially after being unable to even say hello to her before she turned around and he witnessed how obediently the "sea" of scholars seemed to part for Evvie. Looking back to Farah, he grinned and did a bow to her, a playful yet genuine sweep of his arm towards the direction that Evvie was headed in beckoning her, "We have been expecting you as well, Miss Farah. Right this way, please." Striding into the throne room, he looked around, clearly impressed yet not out of his element at all as he stood around and mused seemingly to the air, "So Evvie, what's this book I've heard about?" ”….and to the Shadow, we will return.” ║ ║║║║║║ ║║║║║║ ║║║║║║ ║║║║║║ ║║║║║║ ║║║║║║ ║║║║║║ ║║║║║║ ║║║║║║ ║║║║║║ ║║║║║║ To the Infinite Dark I scream An Oath that no man or immortal may break I am permanently condemned in the first place

EvvieEvvie was already urging the scholars out of the throne room when Kinetav and Farah would arrive, arguing with one of them before he too huffed off. "Sorry about the shortness, Kinetav. But you'll definitely be one who wants to know of this." The remaining guard in the room left, making sure the room was secure and keeping anyone else out. "Kra...." Evvie hesitated before trying again. "A woman named Hava came to us, sent to help with translating this book. But she vanished on us. Thankfully without the book." Evvie passed the book over. It's old cover and worn pages betrayed its vast age. "This book was found in an expedition by some of our resident arcane casters who are with the Mage's Guild. They said the things they found surrounding the book were out of place with it. They believe if the writings can be translated, it will lead to unfathomable wealth. Liliana took the book, being the Prime Arch-Mage, and has told me it is not money we will find at the end of the journey. With Hava's help translating, we've found it is suppose to be instructions to step into another place of existence not dwelling within our world. But we haven't been able to make sense of the clues left behind as to where the places to step into this other world might be."

The outfit was just so very.... country bumkin. She bit her lip to keep her laughter in. Seeing such a strong, capable man, a man who could kill anything in the blink of an eye wearing such ridiculous clothes was hilarious. She liked the lazy common look though, funny as it was. The symbols were beautiful as well and seemed to give the robe an exotic look. She could only pray the women's outfits of his nation were more flattering to the eyes. Farah had been about to answer Kinetav with a sarcastic remark about how his outfit was just "so fabulous" when a woman bustled in, quickly addressed Kinetav and then flitted off again. The woman did not seem threatening, she rather reminded Farah of a hummingbird... being swarmed by a bunch of the most harmless and scholarly looking people she'd ever seen. Farah wasn't sure if she was supposed to wait here or follow the quickly disappearing woman... as her presence had not even apparently been noticed. She was relieved when Kinetav bowed to her with a grin and invited her along as well. Grinning back at him she sank into a graceful curtsy without any real thought, and then quickly followed him into the throne room. As soon as she entered she had to take a moment and repress a lot of very ugly memories. By the time the hummingbird like woman had gotten to the point of their summons Farah was ok again, her memories safely shoved back into their lock box. As the woman continued to speak, warning bells began going off in Farah's head, using an arcane book to travel to an unknown location on potentially another planet, potentially in another dimension... didn't sound like a particularly good idea to her. Having just arrived at this world she was saddened by the thought that they were attempting to open magical portals into other worlds. What if they were connected to ignorant, dangerous, awful planets like Irialot? She bit her lip as she paced, wondering how Kinetav would respond. Farah wouldn't blurt out her opinions unless they were relevant or asked for, after all, she was a stranger here. ♦••••♦••••♦••••♦••••♦ •••• Dodges: 4/ 4 •••• Distance: 0/50 Nation: Ernya XXXX XXXX XX•••••••••••••••• •••• Skills Used: N/A

His eyes slightly narrowed at Evvie as her voice was too rushed for this to be anything but important for both his summoning and the hasty driving out; the very first syllable caught in her mouth and hesitance drew a slur of thoughts through his mind as the first word within it formed itself, Krayth. You watched him fall, brother, dead as can be. The Void reclaims all of our condemned souls. Either way, something is not right here, the Omen mused as his tenseness began to rise with the story still being woven. His hand grasped the book softly as it was passed to him, not even opening it until he heard of what it was all about; his fingers brushed across the strange surface, curiosity rising at the sound of treasure. The ability to help feed his nation and the ability to give them a more comfortable life while saving their lives made his heart swell with ambition before his entire body tensed visibly at the endless possibilities of where he might end up outside the world of Rykros. Not even opening the book for fear of teleporting himself on the spot, his cold steel gaze settled on Evvie, glancing over and noticing Farah's own reaction to the idea of the book as well. Thoughts of his home world brought him back to times darker than those he was as a Voidsworn, cast down and out of society. "Let me make sure I am hearing you correctly," the Omen stated with a tone of slight annoyance in his voice, "You are asking me...and Farah...two people who are not of Rykros and both from planets where we once were hated, to teleport into an alternate world searching for an unfathomable treasure that isn't even money?" Placing his hand on the top of the book solemnly in a gesture that he would keep it closed for now, he confronted Evvie, "You tell me what the value of a soul or the value of emotional trauma relived is, Evvie. I would hope that you at least have some knowledge on these other places, as well as how to get out of them, right?" The Voidsworn walked over next to Farah, standing beside her with the book as he asked, "Would you agree, Farah?" ”….and to the Shadow, we will return.” ║ ║║║║║║ ║║║║║║ ║║║║║║ ║║║║║║ ║║║║║║ ║║║║║║ ║║║║║║ ║║║║║║ ║║║║║║ ║║║║║║ ║║║║║║ To the Infinite Dark I scream An Oath that no man or immortal may break I am permanently condemned in the first place
The “non-condemned” often beg, often scream, often lie As Justice or just pure emotions finally catch them But I always know if I take a truly pure soul in the end
