While there was singing and cheering and much consumption of smoked goods, Rise was keeping a careful watch on the boar - the meat was pre-seasoned and salted, and the aroma of cooked food was ridiculously exciting. Fire in the Hole powered away patiently below, keeping an even temperature. The head of Rise & Shine couldn't help but feel incredible gratitude to the little creature, an unspeakable affection seizing his chest.
MAIN COURSE Or perhaps that was the rapture of a whole-cooked boar! The smell of herbs and seared meat wafted freely into the swamp, and in the heat of the moment Rise made a show of seizing their sharpest stone and striking into the boar, tearing away sheets and hunks of beautiful tender flesh. The rosy meat fell onto carefully placed flat rocks, and were quickly whisked away by servers to their leaf-wraps, served with accompanying piquant greens and the finest berries of the season, all carefully harvested that very day to ensure maximum freshness.
Finally, he put down the stone and spoke: "I'm sure you've not eaten boar like this before - and we do hope you enjoy it! Please savour the taste while the Royal Rainbow Troupe continues to entertain!"

This would be marvelous! Her debut with the Royal Rainbow Troupe, the audience’s eyes on her, oh it would be simply marvelous! Raise Your Voice steadfastly ignored the fact that her debut was a dinner performance – after all, at least she was the main course, and that seemed a more important performance than the rest. She’d make the entire audience forget they were even supposed to be eating, that was how beautiful her songs were.
And now it was her time. A lively melody started Raise off, as she appeared not on the stage but within the audience itself, weaving in and out of the diners, a jaunty tune that she would never admit to have learned from some very odd kimeti – they’d called it a drinking song, whatever that was. It was quite pretty without the lyrics, which were much too crude for a performer of Raise’s caliber. It invited the listeners to dance, to follow Raise as she twirled her way to the stage – but they shouldn’t, because Raise was the star here, not them.
With a final leap, she landed center stage, the thump of all four feet timed with the final note of her tune. Raise Your Voice tossed her head, laughing jubilantly. “I, my wonderful friends-” she began with aplomb. Her words were, as always, rhythmic as though a song in themselves. “-am Raise Your Voice! The main performer for the main course!” And that was all the introduction she gave before she launched into her song, a single, incredibly lengthy, ballad concerning a buck who loved a star.
It had a jolly beginning, the one night the star was allowed down from the sky to dance with her beloved. A few lines of happy, and then the entire song was filled with woe, drama, angst, more woe and drama, and oh, more WOE! Raise just adored the woe and the drama of the song! Her voice was exaggeratedly appropriately sorrowful, as she detailed the poor lovers’ plight. Woe, drama, angst, and then at the very end…The buck died. (There was a bit after that, about the Motherfather making the buck a star with his love, to make the whole song less sad. Raise preferred the drama and woe.)
Slightly breathless, she beamed at the audience and executed a flourishing bow. "Thank you, I do hope that you enjoyed my show as much as I enjoyed presenting it to you."
Raise Your Voice
It was a good thing he was patient. The male looked toward the others around, tail sliding to cover a hoof as he smiled slightly at others, though was only interested in the one that had been helping him before. "Sunspot...." He chuckled softly as he noticed her wobble and almost bump into someone. So cute and precious.... "Sunspot is something quite different..." He murmured, pushing his shell of a bowl around a bit, sighing lightly. He hoped she had time to speak... Why not try again. But...that unfamiliar nervousness was slipping up in him. He hated that feeling. There was no reason to be even remotely scared. He frowned at himself. Quite a mess. Ruriska Hopefully more flirtsies? XD He's all 'do not want to bother but want to bother' and confused.

There had been a few accidents along the way, but nothing too terrible. Sunspot was proud of herself as she grabbed up a nice big piece of meat and made her way towards Wilted. She arrived without incident, carefully placing the leaf-wrapped food on the ground in front of him. “The main meal is served!” She declared with playful twinkle in her eyes. The doe waited a moment, watching him with a smile. “Are you enjoying yourself?” Oh, or should she ask about the food first? “Ah… do you like the food? Take a big bite, okay? It looks really delicious.” There, all bases covered.

"It does look absolutely delicious." He smiled warmly. "Are you allowed to sneak a little taste? I'd not mind sharing a bit so long as it's someone as lovely and hard working as you accepting." Flirting. He didn't really do it so often but when someone was interesting to him, or very lovely, he could not really resist the temptation the settled out for him.

Sunspot giggled. “Oh, it should be okay if I just take a nibble…” She did, however, glance around to make sure none of the other waitstaff was nearby to tell her off. The doe folded her legs beneath her, settling down in from of Wilted. Not exactly hard to notice she was slacking off if anyone did look over, but surely Rise wouldn’t mind if she took a little break. Sunspot had no skill with flirting, but her smile was enough, as she bent her head forward to steal a taste of the boar. “Wow, it really is good!”

He had taken a bite as well, humming lightly. "It is delicious. I know for sure that I would be coming around a bit more." He chuckled warmly and licked his lips, not wanting to lose any of the taste. "Do you cook?"

“You really should. All our food is wonderful… and it would be nice to have a visitor as well.” She shook her head at his question. “Not me. But I guess I haven’t really tried…” Cooking was an important job and chances were she’d end up in the fire herself.

"Well then, I think you might see me every day then!" He chuckled, tail tapping the ground. "Hmmmm...." He nosed the food before taking another bite. "I'd love to meet the chef once this event is over. Might I ask whom that would be?"

"Really?" Sunspot sounded extremely excited by that prospect. She also took another bite of the meat, looking very pleased. "Oh, Rise and Fell are taking care of the cooking. If you stay after dessert, I'll introduce you."

"Would you now?" He smiled. "I would rather like that. Compliments, in my opinion, are best given directly." The male seemed happy, taking another bite of the food, not minding her taking her share. She deserved it after all. She worked hard, even if a bit clumsy.

“I know they would really appreciate it too.” Beak time was over, and now that she knew he would stick around, she wouldn’t have to worry about missing saying goodbye. Sunspot rose to her hooves with only a bit of a wobble. “I’d better help clear up.” She offered one last grin to Wilted and trotted cheerfully back to work.

"I will see you again soon Sunspot!" He chuckled lightly, returning to his boar meal, eyes shut as he indulged upon the lovely song that was settled through the area. What a wonderful night out this had come to be. He was very pleased with how the night was going on, leaving him to wonder how it might end. TICKET, PLEASE!
