Temp-Canada- "M-maple?"He squeaked as he was hugged. His face turning as red as his flag. He wasn't going to mention that they were already family, being related throw Alfred. But then not all family has to like each other. The hug sort of remined him of Al, who was always ready with a comforting hug.

The State of Tennessee ☀Andrew S. Hickory☀ ♪ ♫ ♪ ♫ ♪ ♫ ♪ ♫ ♪ ♫ ♪ ♫ ♪ ♫ ♪ ♫ ♪ ♫ ♪ Despite claiming he was onto Alabama's tricks, the moment he was given a pair of biscuits he instantly started to munch away on them. Though he was still obviously agitated he did seem to settle down and relax once he had some food to shove into his pie hole. Andrew fell silent as he continued to nibble and drink while his body began to catch up with the pace of his alcohol consumption. After a long silence he finally glanced over at Alabama. "Um... Thanks for the food," he finally mumbled, feeling a little embarrassed for not being more grateful and polite earlier. He eyed the bottles of whiskey he had already consumed and sighed. Though he was calmer he didn't exactly feel better. Now that there wasn't outright anger to shield him from his other emotions he just felt lonely and frustrated. More than likely stupid Georgia still didn't understand his feelings. Even after all these centuries he still couldn't make his big brother understand and he was so tired of trying. It felt like the gap between them was only getting wider and, if California was right, then this was probably Christian's final rejection. "Juan, you could flatten a man just by patting him on the back." He put his hands sympathetically and dramatically on Canada's shoulders and stared into his eyes as if this was a life or death matter. "You poor thing," he said. "It takes great courage to date mi amigo... Remember, his cigars are his weak point." Why Mathew might need to know something like that was anyone's guess, but it could potentially be helpful advice. Though Florida loved Cuba very much he also knew he was anything but delicate although he imagined the Canadian must somehow be able to bring out a more gentle side of Juan than what most people saw. North Carolina, USA Charlotte C. "Jones" Freshman Charlotte sensed something over her and looked up to find Leilani was there to help her up. As if the Hawaiian read her mind, translated the very words she did not understand. The Carolina looked down as she thought of the words meanings. "Better yet, the squeaky wheel gets oil or seen to be heard." she muttered to herself. Right now there were many things she wish she could say but was afraid that she wouldn't be able to convey them. Leilani's reassurance seemed to help bring back a little bit of confidence and in return gave a wry smile. "Thank you." she whispered to her sister and went over to sit next to Christian but didn't look at him straight in the eye. There was a little bit of awkwardness since Christian had been more likely to run to to her twin when in trouble. "Chris... I could never hate you... I- no ... we only want you to be happy. I tried to tell Andrew to talk about this after the festival but looks like the damage is already done." The elder state looked up to study his face a bit and decided she couldn't hold back anymore and pulled him into her arms, like any older sibling should have. (Out of Cheerwine and Pepsi: )

George "Christian" JonesGeorgia, U.S.A.Freshman I said where I come from It's cornbread and chicken Where I come from a lotta front porch sittin' Where I come from tryin' to make a livin' And workin' hard to get to heaven Where I come from Georgia blinked as he listened to Hawaii's rather mature speech on how she could never hate him. He even blushed and looked down bashfully when she quoted what he had said all those years ago after Pearl harbor. Well, he was right. If someone laid a finger on his siblings, then he'd hunted down Germany and kicked his a** for what he had allowed Japan to do.
He gently rubbed the petals of the Cherokee Roses that Hawaii had fashioned into a beautiful lei just for him... Even if she had learned about it last night, she really did show no sign that she was mad or hated him for what he was. The peach state bit his lip gently, feeling a blush of happiness come across his cheeks knowing at least someone still accepted him as family. As his jacket was returned once more, though, he frowned deeply. "If anyone stares at you or even looks at you funny, I'm gouging their eyes out with a pen! I've done it before!" He slipped his jacket back on unhappily. He should have told her to set her booth up next to his so he could keep an eye out for her....
He then realized she had talked to someone else, and saw that it was Charlotte when the older state crawled under England's booth next to him. He could feel a bit of awkwardness between them both, but he wasn't sure if it was because she was mad or hated him as much as Andrew did. He was about to ask when she spoke up. Hearing that she also wasn't mad at him made him feel a lot better.
Suddenly, he was pulled into a hug. He blinked lightly before closing his eyes and rubbing the side of his cheek against Charlotte's shoulder, calming down and even finally ending his crying. She may not be South Carolina, but the Tarheel state was just as good at calming him down as south had been. (Then again, as a small child, he had sometimes mistaken the two, so that could also be part of it.) He wrapped his arms around Charlotte, sighing softly. "....Having only two sisters that love me isn't so bad. It definitely makes treating my girls easier." And by "treating his girls", he had always meant "take my sisters out to dinner/ do whatever the hell they want me to do to humor them since I know even they need a chance to just hang out and relax." He chuckled weakly, but it was clear he was still sad at the thought of losing so many of his other siblings.
".....Say, who's booth do you think we're hiding under?"
He had no idea how ironic it was that he, a former British colony wearing his old colonial clothing, was hiding under England's booth.

François BonnefoyThe Senior that Needs No Introduction~!****************************************************************************** France happily sung along to one of his songs when he heard Antonio. He looked over his shoulder and grinned to the Spaniard, though that pirate look sure did bring back some... painful memories. Hey! They hadn't always been the best of friends! Sometimes Antonio would kick Francis's a**-- especially in "the New World"! There was no getting past the Spanish Armada, which made visiting his little Louisiana a bit of a chore.
"Ah! Bonjour, mon petit Espagnol~! Well, of course! I look damn good in a tunic, and who isn't a fan of my Musketeers? Honhonhon. So, I see you broke out the old pirate look. Well, it has always looked good on you, mon ami."
France then frowned as he looked around. "Hey! This sin't right! Where is Prussia? how are we to show up those Bad Touch Trio wonnabes if we're down one third of the trio?" France crossed his arms and pouted, sighing sadly. "At this rate, the new kids will have taken our title...." France looked to Spain before getting teary eyed and throwing his arms open. "Antonio! I don't want to be out-down by some young punks! I know I probably sound absolutely ancient when i say that, and I feel sick for it, but these young ones have no right stepping into our territory! I need a hug..."

Oi Oi Vati give me a beer Oi Oi Mutti, Oi Oi Mutti I can't forget the flavor of that wurst I had before Ludwig Germany gave a light shrug of his shoulders. Well, surely England would be fine. it's not like there was anything wrong with being a little la--
He felt something brush against him and turned to look behind him. He couldn't find anyone in particular that was nearby... However, he did see something almost... Familiar. A petite figure with two long, blonde pigtails disappeared into the crowd, and Ludwig couldn't help but wonder where he had seen the girl before...
Oh well. he checked himself and was thankful that nothing was taken or added from his person. As soon as he finished, England started coming towards them. "Vell, it's gutt to see yu von't be alone during zhe event, Maureen. If you have any time, feel free to stop by. I'll have lots of food throughout the day, but I can't guarantee zhe beer vill last long."
Ludwig then turned to Italy. "Is your booth already set up? Where are you going to be all day?"

Arthur Kirkland Student Vice President Member of the Disciplinary Committee Junior Charlotte rubbed his back softly. "Oh Andrew still loves you, he is just being a real grumpy puss about it." She smiled a little bit at saying 'treating his girls easier.' "You know you don't have to push yourself to protect us nor does it mean you have to do it yourself, for who is going to protect you?" The Tarheel gave him a quick squeeze for letting go. Who's booth? She blinked. "Now that you mention it-"
Arthur eventually found his table and dropped his box of things next to the table, causing Charlotte to jump from the noise and bonked her nogging. "Ouch!" Odd. Why would a table say 'ouch' unless someone was under it. The Englishman bent down the best he could with his attire to look underneath the booth. "George? Charlotte? What are you two doing down there?"

George "Christian" JonesGeorgia, U.S.A.Freshman I said where I come from It's cornbread and chicken Where I come from a lotta front porch sittin' Where I come from tryin' to make a livin' And workin' hard to get to heaven Where I come from "Funny. I don't remember 'Eat s**t and die' being Tennessean for 'I love you no matter what'...." Now, granted, Tennessee did have his unique ways of expressing emotion... He just wasn't expecting such a hostile way to be his sweet little brother's way of showing he didn't hate him....
Georgia looked to Charlotte and smiled warmly to her. "No one has to protect me. I'm the hero! It's my job to protect you guys and keep you happy, no matter the cost." His grin then turned slightly sharp as he added, "Even if it means finding a way to put some of y'all in full-body armor...." Referring to the fact that one way or another, he was going to get Leilani to put clothes back on... She could have at least had a bikini top on for crying out loud! Even if he still wouldn't be thrilled, at least her coastline would be covered!
As something dropped next to them, he too jumped. His jumping, however, caused a slight crack sound as he managed to splinter the wood slightly due to how hard his head was from all the head injuries he'd had in the past... In fact, he didn't even feel that one, despite the fact that he caused the whole booth to jump. he looked up and blushed, looking like a kid caught in the act of doing something wrong. So... he managed to end up crawling under his father's booth in the end... Awesome....
Well, at least he wasn't crying any more and the signs he ever had were mostly gone by now...
"Oh! Uh... N- nothing! I thought I dropped my pen when I was making my rounds for interviewing people for the paper~!" he gave a typical American laugh, however, there was a tone of embarrassment or even awkwardness behind it. He quickly scrambled out from under the table before dusting himself off. He then offered a hand to his sister to help pull her up from underneath the table as well. "And, at the risk of sounding rude, hadn't I asked you before to call me Christian?.... On second thought... Never mind. I guess it would be weird if no one called me by the wrong name..."

Arthur Kirkland Student Vice President Member of the Disciplinary Committee Junior Carolina made a face that was cross between a childish pout and a frown. She sighed and mumbled something about 'just like America'. Honestly, now, some of the other states could damn well protect themselves. Hell, she bet Christian never played hide and seek with Virgina who would get tired of searching and literally would try to smoke you out. Talk about traumatized at a young age. She sighed. "Guess old habits die hard." She allowed him to help her up. Charlotte was wearing a shirt afterall.
"Didn't mean to frighten you two." The Englishman gave the blonde state a weird look, more on the lines of suspicion. Especially when it's a boy and girl under the table but he decide not question. "I don't recall seeing a pen." Arthur felt even more confused at the state for not calling him Christian. True, he probably did tell him to call him that and not the name he was given. But the brit was often forgetful. "Sorry, but I can only remember the name I gave you and what's wrong with 'George'?"
