Chiiri was close behind, slipping on her shoes. "We have to be accompanied to my house? ....That's a bit crazy. Your family must be really important here, Mion." She finished sliding her shoes on and stepped outside, turning to find which direction to go. "It's this way~" Chiiri said, trotting off. What is up with Mion's family?

"Yeah, just because it's late. And you never know what's out there. Even though Hinamizawa is safe for the most part, it's never a good idea for us to be alone at night. Even more so when it's close to Watanagashi."
Mion nodded and followed Chiiri, making sure to stay close to Rena, to also make sure nothing was said of Oyashiro-sama's curse.

Rena headed out the door with the others. She was glad that there were guards following her, it made things seem a lot more comfortable. Despite the fact that she knew that she was going to be followed soon.

Why the watanagashi? Chiiri continued, eventually reaching a small house in the middle of a field of flowers. It was two stories high, with loads of windows and window boxes for plants. Chiiri slipped a key inside the door, letting everyone in. "Well...this is home." She said, slipping off her shoes. Oliver hopped from her shoulders and ran into the hallway and up the stairs. The house had a very warm and cozy feel, despite the fact most of everything was still in boxes. The only things that were really out were bookshelves and loads of books everywhere. Boxes marked with "IMPORTANT" and "THIS SIDE UP" in sharpie. "My room is upstairs. You two can come up if you want to, or just find someplace to wait." She headed upstairs, into a large singular room with a bed, and walls lined with bookshelves overflowing with books, save for one section where Oliver was curled around a crystal ball, sound asleep.

"It's a very cute home Chiiri-chan."
Mion looked around the house, it had a nice feel to it but something didn't seem right. It was more empty, like no one really lived her. Well..maybe one person. But certainly no family. Mion knew this house couldn't house three people. Maybe Chiiri's family had money problems...
"We'll wait down here Chiiri, don't rush okay?"

"Okay!' She shouted down. Chiiri began speaking in a much more sullen, much more hushed tone. "So what did you think?" There was the faint sound of paper crumbling. "We just have to be careful is all." She reached into her dresser and pulled out a black shirt that was much to big for her. A long piece of cloth and some socks. "Do you want to come back with me?" More paper rustling. "It's only for one night. It's better than being here with all these boxes." All Chiiri had unpacked was her books and a few of her other things, like her crystal ball, but she had spent most of her time in Hinamizawa putting all the bookshelves together. It was hard work for one girl. With pajamas in hand, Chiiri headed down the stairs with Oliver riding on her shoulders. "I guess I should show you guys around a bit." The house started out in a small room with a bench, where guests would remove their shoes, and lead into a hallway, which branched into a living room on one side, and a kitchen on the other. There was a small bathroom as well, and at the very end of the hall was the staircase to Chiiri's room. "It's not much...but it's home."

Mion looked around some more before Chiiri came back down to show them the house.
"It's nice, How did your parents find this place?"

Parents Chiiri shot a look at the door, staring at the guards outside. "It was really lucky, actually. They just had to pull a few strings." her voice was darker, not the childish one heard before. "But I dunno' too much about it!" She smiled. Oliver had his eyes locked on the guards as well. "I do like the house, though. Much different from the one in the city." She walked into the living room, and stared out the window at the moon over the horizon. The living room had a sofa in it, with an accompanying coffee table with several stains where cups were placed without coasters. Books were piled basically everywhere, and the bookshelves that lined the walls were already full. It was more like a library than anything. Books titled, "Mii Village: Folklore." "Mii Village, the Home of The Immortal." And other books on lore and mystery. "Is there anything you need before we go?" Chiiri asked. Unsure whether Mion or Rena needed to get a glass of water or use the bathroom.

"Oh, I see. Well it's very lucky that you were able to get this place. And to come to Hinamizawa. Your parents will love it here too."
Mion scanned the book shelf and noticed some strange titled books, but had felt like she had heard of the Village on the book. Something about it rang a bell.
Maybe I'm imagining things....but..Hmm. .I'll ask Bachan about it later, but it bugs me that I don't know this Village when I should.
"Oh, I think I'm fine. You, Rena?"

Rena found herself sitting down reading one of Chiiri's books, it had lots of cute pictures, and seemed a bit dusty. The story was something along the lines of a cat that lost her parents. Rena found herself consumed in the book, especially towards the end where the little cat saw her mommy and daddy, though the last page was ripped out. Before she could ask she found Mion looking at her asking "Oh, I think i'm fine you Rena?" Rena closed the book and placed it back on the floor. "Oh sorry, I was getting really into that book there, um I think I should go use the bathroom." She had been out all day, and drank lots of water to avoid dehydration, now the cost of drinking all the water was taking it's toll. "Chiiri, where is your bahtroom?"

As Chiiri gave Rena directions to the bathroom, Mion decided to look more at the books, She picked one off the shelf that said "Mii Village: Folklore" and began to flip through the pages of the book. There were many pictures of Egyptian cats. Mion couldn't read the language the book was in though. She did, however notice a peculiar page with the picture of a newborn child who looked like it was given a cat.
"Hey...Chiiri-chan, What language is this book in? Is it.. Egyptian?"

Rena went to the bathroom, and took care of her business. After washing her hands, she saw the grim figure she was haunted by since so long ago in the mirror. She wanted the figure to go away, but she knew that insulting the dark god would simply anger it. Why was it watching her? Couldn't it just leave her alone. She finished washing and drying her hands and headed back to where Mion and Chiiri were, ready to go.

Chiiri stared at the book Rena was reading. Oliver hopped from her shoulder, trotting over and sitting on the child's book, his eyes content. "That's a language from my native village. It's here in Japan, but it was settled by the Egyptians. It's sort of a weird mix of the two languages, I suppose. It's a very interesting place to read about..." Chiiri stared at the moon. "The Egyptians," she continued, "worshiped cats like they were gods. They were praised for their ability to eliminate...vermin..and kill cobras." Oliver swept his tail back and forth on the rug, his eyes trained on Chiiri. "I love reading about the village, since I was only there for about the first five years of my life." She smiled.

"Eh? So Chiiri..you're Egyptian?"
Before Mion could ask Chiiri more questions Rena was back, so she decided to save them for later.
"Well..I think we're all ready here, Shall we go?"

Oliver hopped onto Chiiri's shoulder, and he let out a loud meow. "Yeah, I'm ready. And no, my parents were Japanese, they weren't from the village. I was born there. I don't quite remember why they visited there, though." But I do know why we stayed. Chiiri headed down the hall and slipped on her shoes, her pajamas in hand. "Do you have any questions about it, Mion? We have some time on the walk home." She stood up, and let her eyes linger on the guards at the door.
