Where Aliana kept a steady breath, Miss Fortune was losing hers. Her breathing became gasps, but fear kept her going. Was that what this feeling was? Fear? Or was it regret? Guilt? Either way, she felt one emotion she was sure of: terror. Aliana was furious, she was possibly out for blood. And if she learned who she really was...
Her muscles crying for a break, Miss Fortune glanced down at her, or Fortunado's phone. She could call Juan - him having put his number in the phone one day - and get help almost instantly. Help from the man she hated more than anything against the woman she loved to no ends.

"Why can't you just stop and talk to me?! You owe me that!" she yelled, almost within arms reach of the blonde. "I deserve a f_cking explanation!"

Miss Fortune had just hung up Fortunado's phone and slipped it into her pocket before her legs gave out on her. The two had just made it towards the fountain in the school's courtyard when the land placed a rock in Miss Fortune's path. She tripped over the pebble and fell against the cruel cement of the walkways, scraping both knees. Hissing in pain, she opened on pained eye and tried not to show the fear she was feeling when Aliana reached her.

Aliana instantly straddled the girl's stomach, pinning her arms above her head and trying to hold back tears. "How could you do it? How could you gain my trust, make me actually care about you, and then...why? WHY?!"

The smaller 'girl' gasped out and struggled beneath Aliana's grip. Keeping her eyes shut tight to avoid looking at her, Miss Fortune moved her head and flailed in attempts to get free. "L-Let me go!" she cried out.

She let go of one hand to slap the girl hard across the face, returning to her former position after a second."Tell me, damn it! Why are you so...so cruel?" Aliana bowed her head, the tears flowing freely now. "I love him, Fortune. I love him more than anything else. He's the first man I've let touch me since my father did. How could you call yourself my friend, then take away the one I love?"

Miss Fortune fell silent when she felt the impact of the hand against her cheek. She stared off into the distance, bewildered, until she heard Aliana. Feeling drops of tears against her flesh, Miss Fortune's expression became unreadable past a barrier of guilt and regret. "...You don't understand." she whispered. Before any of the two could say anything more, however, a hand reached out and yanked Aliana off Miss Fortune very harshly. The one that owned that hand was Juan Garcia, a calm yet infuriated expression on his face. "The hell do you think you're doing to my princess?" he seethed and pulled harder on her hair to pull her farther from the whimpering blonde. Standing just a few steps away from him were two tough looking Mexican men in white tang tops that showed off their bulging muscles; one man, a bald one, had a silver chain hanging around his neck.

Aliana, unable to back down without a fight, instantly began to claw at Juan, unafraid. "You! You have no business at my school! Get out you worthless piece of futureless garbage!" At her shouts, school bodyguards started for their area of the courtyard, though were still out of sight.
Suddenly, Aliana recognized him. "You're that gay gang member from St. Sebastian's. What are you doing at the girl's school? There's noone here for you to f_ck, no little boys who can't get it up for you!"

Juan leaned away from the claws and glanced sideways when he heard the heavy thuds of approaching footsteps. He nodded his head over his shoulder at the two men and watched them leave to take care of anyone that would get in his way. Looking back at Aliana, Juan showed some disgust on his face and shoved her to the ground, wasting no time to stomp hard on her back and treat her like a bug. "Just 'cause I like that boyfriend of yours doesn't make me gay." he spat and stomped on her back again. "Princess over there's proof." he said as he nudged his head in Miss Fortune's direction. She looked at him with wide eyes, and he only winked at her. "Ain't she gorgeous? She reminds me a lil' of the guy from my school, but she's a dame. And I ain't lettin' a d_ke like you harm a hair on her pretty little face." He lifted his leg to deliver another stomp, but Miss Fortune quickly held a hand up.
"Stop!" she cried, and though Juan was surprised, he obeyed. Miss Fortune glanced at Aliana for a second then back at the gangster, pursing her lips and trying to hold back heavy tears. "L-Leave her alone. Please... Don't hurt her." With great struggle due to her bleeding wounds on her knees, Miss Fortune got back to her feet. She wavered back and forth a little, and Juan twitched like a puppy, debating whether to help her or keep a firm grip on Aliana. "Just... Just take me home."

Aliana tried force herself up, her arms too hurt to lift her body. Instead, she lay on the ground, thinking, until she finally forced herself to stand. Ignoring Juan, she moved a little closer to Fortune. "You...I never want to see your face at my school again. If I do, I don't give a damn about this Mexican piece of s**t you have wrapped around your pinky, I will kill you. Now get the f_ck out of my sight, you evil slut. Take your monkey with you." Turning away, Aliana nodded to her aunt, who had just run onto the scene with around four more guards and was marching over to Juan, yelling about how he had twelve seconds to get off the property and start running before she called the cops, and that she fully intended to press charges for trespassing and assault.

Hearing those words were what pulled the plug on Miss Fortune Fortunado's life. His eyes widened in complete horror as the girl he cared about so dearly threatened to kill him. His mouth opened a little, but nothing came out, barely any oxygen. He felt the unbearable pain of heartbreak, each shard of his heart shooting into a random direction and puncturing a vital organ in his body. He couldn't remember how to breath, he felt as if he were drowning. It was too much to handle. Desperate to get away, he croaked out Juan's name, who was laughing at the woman's face to take her threats seriously. Of course, a man that was next in line to control the city's underworld didn't have to worry about the police. He stopped laughing when his name was mentioned and looked at Miss Fortune, who was about to break down. Growing silent, he walked over to her and helped walk her out, the bodyguards of his following.
Not once did the blonde figure look back.

Aliana stopped at the doors to the school, looking back at the blonde girl walking away. "I...I hate you, Miss Fortune," she whispered, slipping her shoes back on and striding into her school, her domain, her kingdom. The ice queen had returned, and her heart had once again turned into stone.
