Still soaking wet from her attempt at the lake, she came back, shook her fur like a dog (sent water flying everywhere) and stared at the mixer. "Tried, apaprently cant swim well in this body. I'm not entirely fresh from the pod, by the way." She had been around for a while after all, she had just..missed a few months of it. She was not a TOTAL newbie. "Though you know, Marcus." Her tail was flicking behind her, still wet, both with a tinge of anger and even defeat. "You don't need to be a total jerk about it." They got enough of that from their leaders.

Technically he was a higher ranking officer, but that still did not mean he always knew better, yes? Hissing out a little she lowered her face, the burn mark on it feeling worse as the water dripped on the fresh wound.

Marcus had left to go try and get the thing, so she stayed around and kept Dakota company. "Because apparently those with the biggest Egos come in the smallest packages." She teased back at the bird. "At least you can fly, and dont have to deal with hooves. Ever tried not having fingers?" He has birdie feet, close enough!

"Not used to being an animal, eh?" teased Ren, but he was smiling and there was no real mocking in his voice. He sat back on his haunches and tilted his head a little, the odd, glowing wings lifting and then resting back against his shoulder blades. "I'm pretty sure you're still a guy. I actually think you look kinda cool."

"Leo?" repeated Sparrow, cocking his head to the side and trying to pull up an image in his head of someone named Leo. The name did seem awfully familiar...

"Ah!" he chirped, and would have smiled, if he were capable of it. As it was, he clicked his beak together cheerfully and fluttered his wings - at least until he heard other creatures coming closer to the thing, and Sparrow gave a slightly indignant squawk, the crystal thing held tightly in his beak.

Then he promptly pecked the little red foxfire in the side.

"It's rude to take things from other people, you know," he said cheerfully, voice slightly muffled.

She was about to ask him about how he'd ended up here when a peculiar little foxfire made a lunge for Sparrow. Was it an attack? Alarmed, she fluffed herself up on instinct, attempting to look big and intimidating. She didn't. She looked like someone had thought it was a good idea to use a hairdryer on a frutten.

Oh, wait.. he was after the crystal thing Sparrow had? Ahhh - well, thank goodness it wasn't an attack. "Yeah!" She chirped in.

Vixi had followed the commotion to the swirlpool. She had gotten there just in time to see several minis attacking a very large creature that melted back into the swirlpool. She had ducked behind the closest thing available to her- a large mound of dirt and spent a good deal of time cowering and trying to process what she had just seen.

Clearly the new minis had just gone insane as she would have never attacked anything that large.

The casual chattering of some of the closer ones piqued her curiosity and was slowly overriding the urge to hide. Vixi poked her head up over the mound just enough to try to see what was going on and if that.... that THING was truly gone.

Blinking and somewhat awestruck at the sight of all the different minis that she had never seen before, she perked up her ears to try and hear what was going on.

"Hello..." Amphi flushed behind Roch, looking at the Ice Wvyling, "Nice to meet you! My name is Amphi..." She remained behind the treat though, too shy to come out to meet the Wvyling.

And wondered just who it was! Wow Minipets, Why so confusing.

“Hello Amphi, it's nice to meet you too!” she greeted the kirinni merrily. A wide grin was spreading across her face.

And then she stared at Roch very smugly, totally ignoring everything he just said.

The crystal few into Sparrow's grasp, for a second simply hovering towards him, as if gravitating towards the student-turned-minipet-

- Before it literally plunged into his chest, as if absorbed into him.

Fortunately, Sparrow wouldn't feel any different than he normally did, not smarter nor stronger, faster, or perhaps a little more exotic, other than the problem of of course having a shard of something potentially stuck inside him. There was really nothing wrong with having a shard of something potentially stuck inside one's chest that a normal, healthy individual could not come to tolerate and accept over time, really.
