Busted. Robert was licking his paw when the horse- s**t, horse- called him a hunter. He froze, and waited for the inevitable strike, when instead, she asked after his well being. Well whaddya know. "Yeah. Uh. Yeah. I'm.." He leo-squinted at her and sniffed the air curiously, his little nose wiggling. "..who're you?" He didn't need to answer no questions to no monster - if that's what she was. Still, he kept himself facing her, and if she so much as inched anywhere, he would shift to keep from giving her his back. His tail swished excitedly behind him, betraying his menacing feel. His fur stood on end when she was joined by others, talking about him as if he wasn't even there. "Ain't nobody taking me nowhere, fluffy." He growled, baring his long canines. Somehow, Senga's nose against her flank was comforting. It was often that any but the other Protectors offered the comfort of physical touch, likely due to the difference in rank between herself and the others. And while she certainly appreciated their respect, she had never really had any interest in being set apart from them. The fact that the wolf-pelted horseman had bridged this gap now would have made her smile, had she been in her normal form -- instead, she merely gave him an affectionate look, her amber eyes glittering, even as a minipet.
"If he so chooses," she replied, offering no other information of her plan. She trusted the other two would understand... and if not, at least trust her to make the right decision. Unfortunately, she had proven herself less than competent in this environment... but perhaps, this time, she would not lead them astray. She could only hope.
Tilting her head a little at Robert, the horsewoman gave him a curious look, seeming unconcerned by his growl. "Can I not be someone concerned for your well-being?" she replied, sounding a little amused by his suspicion, "We will be less concerned for you, if you so desire." She made no attempt to approach him, instead pretending to have very little interest in him at all, her attention shifting to where the crystal shard disappeared.
"Shaheen is correct, we should attempt to retrieve it. Medea will very likely want it..." Starting in that direction, she flicked her eyes over her shoulder one last time, giving him an almost sweet look, flicking her tail at him.

Hunter? How had she missed that!? She would readily blame her lack of concentrated focus on the whispers that were hissing in the back of her head, but she knew she should still be better then that, and should have realized. If the horsemen were here then it stood to reason that the hunters were as well. Her brain was abuzz at this new information, and something inside of her screamed at her to main, kill, utterly destroy this canine looking minipet, but as Senga's tail thwapped against her side it did give her a distraction, and much needed comfort, and she found her own tail instinctively flicking out towards him as well, running over that furry back before flipping back down towards the ground, an almost purring like sound rumbling forth from her throat before she could stop it. Damnit all! On top of everything else now she was purring. Eris appeared to have a plan with the wretched human, however, and as much as it went against what she might have done herself, she respected the protector far too much to say defy her actions with ones of her own. Instead, she kept her mouth shut, casting a glance towards Senga that might have said 'you've got to be kidding me.' before turning to follow Eris in the direction that the shard had flown, treading lightly on her dainty vaisel paws. "We need to retrieve it before they get it first.." She murmured, not wanting the hunter turned mini to overhear. The new surroundings were disconcerting at best. So many minipets staring at them, with a certain kind of hunger in their eyes. Creepy Quote: Element: Fire HP:21/30? Location: beach time`[/quote

▸ ▸ senga is currently roaming the closet entrance, heading for the Breeding Caves.Senga blinked owlishly at the name, his expression melting into as flat a look as a minipet could muster. "Fluffy? I have a name, pup." He responded, lifting his head and shaking out the irritation like a bad bunch of fleas. Leaning forward, the antlered wolf opened his jaws and nipped lazily at Robert's snout, ears pricked towards him like he was a fascinating sort of alien. Slowly though, his attention was drawn from Robert himself to Robert's words.
"Well - " He began waspishly, before trailing off and coughing into a paw. "I'm sorry," He rumbled, and waved the paw at Robert instead, "that was rude." His tone turned flat, for Senga had never been good at talking gently to others. "We are going that way, if you would like to join us." He said in a tone that had to be genuine, because it sure as hell wasn't much else than blunt truth.
His eyes turned to the horse-turned-Protector, and - could wolf minipets smile? He wasn't sure he wanted to try, though he did let the corners of his mouth curve up a bit, tail wagging in return. Though they were only meeting for the first time as four-legged minipets, he certainly liked Eris, strange tossing habits and all. He also felt that familiar kinship with her as he did with all of his remaining Clan, even though his ears fluffed and quivered at the idea that he might have been being too bold when one considered the chain of command and just how far down on it he was as opposed to her. But, well... Senga pawed at his ears and looked at Shaheen as well. They didn't seem to mind, and nor did he.
His tail flicked against Shaheen's when it responded, and curiously, he focused on controlling it, the tail lolling for a moment before wrapping around Shaheen's in a slight semi-circle. He growled in amusement, and lifted his eyes at the - "Are you purring?" It was a stupid statement, and Senga instantly bowed his head in mortification. It was a fascinating sound though, and Senga lifted his head after a moment, leaning his ear in close to Shaheen to try and hear better before Eris dragged his attention back. He returned the chieftains glance with a "I know right," sort of look, shaking himself out as they prepared to go after the whatever-that-thing-was.
He wasn't quite sure what Eris's plan was for this dog, but he trusted her enough that she had a good idea in mind. Trotting after the horse towards the beginnings of the beach, the jungle in the distance, and the caves beyond, Senga paused to look back at Robert. "Goodbye?" He echoed, shaking out his pelt-thing and turning his head back to the land they were about to trek.
He had a bad feeling about this.
"Do you have any idea what that was?" He asked in bemusement, turning his head back to Eris. Or where in the seven hells Medea went after we got trapped here. But he didn't ask that out loud. Menu > Stats Senga : War ClanFaction: Horsemen. Minipet: Sirius Star. Element: Grass. HP: 14 / 30

[Closet Entrance - Headed to the Beach]Step-step, bumhop. Step-step, bumhop. That was how Sherry thought of herself as far as walking went. She had watched bunnies. That was what they did. Step with the front legs, little hop with the back legs. It seemed to work, so that's what she did. She practiced it a few times, just to make sure she had it down. Armagnac growled lightly. Yes, well, Sherry began, hoisting herself up onto her back legs, like I said before, it could be worse. Not dead, after all. It was easy enough to keep her balance as she scanned the area. And I don't appear to be the only on this happened to. No. That was clear. Other critters were running around. Some appeared to be freaking out, some appeared to have it under control, and some...well. Sherry was thought she might know who that dog was. With others it was hard to tell. Likely horsemen were wandering around, too. Something had happened when the world shattered earlier. And they had all been there. Besides. Since I signed up for this gig, I've seen some crazy stuff. Being a cute little bunny is not the worst thing that has happened to me. Sherry watched as one group of critters wandered off. We'll figure it out. When that thing had dropped out of the sky, Sherry had attempted to summon Armagnac out of reflex. Both had been disappointed to find it impossible. Sherry would have grinned at that. Usually things were her problem. Armagnac not being able to battle was apparently a shared issue. Fine, fine. She dropped back to all fours. Let's go see what we can see. Sherry-bunny set off to explore. Step-step, bumhop. Step-step, bumhop. Quote: Name: Sherry Faction: Life Hunter HP: 30/30 Element: Normal Location: Closet Entrance - heading toward the beach

And now all of Robert's attention was on the white hairball of a wolf, who was just asking for a fight. His muzzle opened in the closest a golden retriever could come to a grin, and that giant tail flopped over his teeth as he panted in excitement. He stood up to his full height, and his head tilted from one side to another - ..was he trying to crack his neck? His normal methods of intimidation were failing him. It was time to be a dog, for once. All his teeth shined bright white as his lips peeled back in a snarl. "Watch who you're callin' pup, snack." The deep, throaty bass of Robert's normal voice was accentuated by the vibration of his growl - a sound he decided he kind of liked. He was just itching for a fight. It was clear in the constant ripples of the muscles underneath that scruffy, thick golden retriever's fur. The three were walking away. Away. Robert walked back and forth in a line, as if something prevented him from moving forward, as he tried to make his decision. It was probably a good idea to follow them. Find out what the bastards were doing. But he knew three against one wasn't a fair fight. Maybe if a few more of them showed up, it might be a little fairer. "Th' hell with it." He grumbled to himself, as he slowly padded forward, keeping enough space between himself and the trio to keep them in his sights. Long black ears swivelled a little down as the other minipets in this guartet seemed adament about sticking around - wanting to be "not animals" again. Stoic eyes kept watching, though, as the cogs worked in her head and the voices grated against her psych, like metal on metal. Whatever, or whomever these were, they were not normally minipets. But then again, nor was she. She would have to take this in baby steps.
Do like the Romans do, she figured.
It didn't take long for her to start hitting the beach before she started feeling eyes on her, making her skin creep and fur ruffle. She didn't like these eyes. She had a weird feeling. Hapl.
Turning to her companion, whom she was starting to wonder about, she lowered her head to Tika's level, whispering with her soft voice. "I feel like someone's watching me, you know? With. . . I don't know. Eerie eyes. I don't like it. Would you help me dash out of here?" GJ LIFEN, ROCK AND HARD PLACE RIGHT HERE. "I am in complete agreement," she replied to Shaheen, her tone far more serious now that they had begun to move away, "You were wise to suggest we do so. I cannot imagine what would happen to us should something of such magnitude fall into their hands."
And it was, without a doubt, something important. Although completely unfamiliar with minipets in general, much less the world from which they came, there seemed to have been something exceptionally wrong with the one which had encapsulated the shard. For one, all the other minis had wasted no time in running in absolute terror from the creature. For another, it had drawn the very color from the environment, as if sucking the life force from everything it touched. Even when they had attacked it, it had injured them, causing them pain just from its touch. She could not imagine the power that single shard held, and what could be done with it.
"As for what it was, I am... not quite sure. But I think it may be a shard of the mirror. Perhaps our way home. The presence of the hunter suggests perhaps things did not go as planned for..."
Going quiet, Eris' ears perked a little, but she continued moving across the beach, unperturbed by the large dog following them a ways away. Out of the corners of her eyes, she glanced at her companions, giving them an amused look. She knew they weren't pleased with Robert's presence, but she assumed they knew he was no good to them dead. And he could very well be an asset alive.
"You shouldn't slink in the shadows, hunter~" she raised her voice a little for him, her tone sweet and almost sing-song, teasing, "One might question your intentions." Glancing over her shoulder, she gave him a droll look rolling her eyes. "Come talk with us, Hunter. We won't bite. Hard."
Promises she never intended to keep were the best kind.Quote: Faction: War Horseman Element: Fire HP: 24/30 Location: Breeding Jungle~

His flailing continued a few seconds longer until he realized the other mini had jumped off him, and he rolled over, paws over his face as if this would help him to hide away from everyone and everything. "Yes! I'm not a closet mini, I'm sure of it!" He protested, his ears twitching at the squeaking sounds, one paw moved so he could see if the mini was circling him in order to pounce once more, then scrambled to his paws, backing away when he saw she was going to strike again. He was about ready to bolt for safely. Quote: Name: Jason Faction: Deus Ex Element: Light HP: 21/30

▸ ▸ senga is currently roaming heading to the breeding caves. It was probably unwise to open his mouth again.
Very unwise.
So of course, Senga did.
"Snack? Really?" The wolf's incredulous tone was somewhat lessened by the helpless amusement in his voice, punctuated only by his tail, swishing to and fro like an invisible breeze was making it move. He was not a snack. And what kind of name was that anyways? He almost liked Fluffy better. Senga paused in his steps and stared down at his body. He didn't look like a snack at least, did he? Frowning, he turned his head back at Robert, torn between being pleased that he caved and followed them and being indignant that the other was just asking him to stop holding his tongue. If this could even be considered holding his tongue at all.
"Do I look like food to you? Are you going to try and eat me?" He opened his mouth and his tongue lolled out, "I doubt I'd taste good."
Swiveling back to attention when Eris spoke again, the young executioners tail wagged in thought. A shard of the mirror? "Hmmmm. Let us hope we find it soon then, and that no one else gets there first. It would be nice to find a way... back." He rumbled in thought and growled slightly in pleasure when it was insinuated that perhaps the hunters plans did not go all that well either, ears quirking as the soft grass gave way to sand. "Maybe we can find others too, if the same fate occurred to them..." He could see minipets around them, all looking at them with suspicious intentions in their eyes. Senga felt a shiver thick down his spine and instinctively hovered closer to his group, rather uninterested in whatever they might have been planning out there. He wasn't familiar with minipets or their activities, and to be honest, he really didn't want to find out.
Looking back at Robert when Eris promised that they wouldn't bite, Senga couldn't help but reveal his canines in return towards the earlier pearly white show the hunter had given him. "Crunch, crunch," He teased in dry amusement, nipping the air and swishing his tail. The salty air around them seemed pungent, and Senga stared at the trees of the jungle, hoping that they would find the shard soon. Menu > Stats Senga : War ClanFaction: Horsemen. Hm, well. That made her feel slightly better she supposed. At least he wasn't going to drag her to a closet.... She lowered her paw as he backed away, settling back onto her haunches. Another few squeaks here and there, but not quite as loud as before. "Well...then uhhhhh...sorry about that!" Tossing her head back she laughed, though it really came out as a bunch of boisterous squeaks. Her head snapped forward as she squinted her eyes at him. "I don't know you do I....?" At least he didn't seem familiar to her. Of course, if everyone was turned into minipets it would be slightly harder to recognize one another. She then wondered if everyone had been turned. Students, Horsemen.....even maybe Hunters? Mei was so unsure about everything. If everyone had been turned that meant her friends were here somewhere as well. Perhaps being dragged into closets! Were she and Senga holding tails now? "Yes I am! Purring I mean." She tried to sound indignant, and confident, like it had been intended all along, her head raising as she attempted to look down on him like she might have if she was still in her normal form. Except that she wasn't. She was a fragile little war vaisel and she felt so ridiculous that she just couldn't even put on the show of seriousness for five seconds before she was completely deflating, and if a vaisel could smile, she would certainly be casting one Senga's way now, to show him that she wasn't actually upset with him for asking. "These bodies, they will take some getting used to, but I'm sure with time we will overcome this obstacle as well." Her tail flicked behind her yet more as she walked, her ears twitching towards Eris when the proctector spoke. A feeling of warmth washed through her at the praise that she offered, and she held her head high once more. "I believe you may be correct," and then, in a much more hushed tone, "But what of the high priestess? Did either of you see what might have become of her?" They were only three of many, and perhaps lucky to have come across each other. Were the other horsemen scattered across this foreign world of minipets as well? Her ears twitched at the distant sound of following paws treading on the ground behind them, and Shaheen too swiveled her head so as to get a good look at the canine hunter, offering him a grin that flashed dainty, pointed fangs , probably not nearly as intimidating as that of Senga's. She opted not to add her own comments to the mix, as she would likely just say something along the lines of 'go and die now please'. except less polite. Quote: Element: Fire HP:21/30? Horsie's little offer didn't make Robert feel any more comfortable about getting closer. But the way she spoke made a fanged smile curve his muzzle up over his teeth, grinning playfully. There was only one response to a statement like that. "That's okay. I bite back." His long tongue dragged over his canines, and he inched a foot closer, but still remained a safe distance away, following. "And you should always question my intentions, horsie." He growled, his grin only getting bigger. "They're never any good." The white wolf's question made Robert bark out in laughter. "Are you kidding? You look like a big white marshmallow, I'd love to take a big old bite out of you and-rrrrrruuuff!" He shook his head, his front paws bouncing up in the air once at the thought of chomping down on a giant marshmallow. "I'll try to resist." Heard from others, there are a gang of those minis gathered around the beach, maybe he should go and have a look? Oh. And now she was just going to sit there and apologize for attacking him. As if nothing was wrong. Really. Jason just watched her laugh numbly, not sure what he was going to do or if there was anyone around here he recognized and could team up with. Maybe there were hunters around? He could only hope. "N-no, you don't know me...nor do I know you for that matter..." He asked, suddenly suspicious. "Who are you?" Was she a horsemen? She had attacked him for no reason. He sighed, sitting back on his own haunches and looking at the ground sadly. He was stuck as a dog, and he was unable to draw zanvthos. This was horrible, he could hardly even defend himself. < at least you don't look like a threat, so maybe the bigger minis will ignore you> His weapon chimed into his head,
Jason whined pitifully.
