That just looked painful is all but if you're su-" Nix couldn't understand why Yosuke hesitated and turned down her offer but if he wasn't in pain then he wouldn't need it. Though when she heard what he asked Yukiko as punishment that was a different issue. She didn't know why he would ask about undergarments but it was definantly something you don't ask a girl. Hearing Soji's reaction was just a small hint at what was going to happen. So the girl grabbed Yosuke's hand to place the ice pack in it. "You might need this."
Nix walked away to glance at the TV before looking at Kusuri and Faust. She laughed a little at what they had to say about the nurse thing. "Well I'll keep that in mind. Umm.. Do you think anyone is going to appear on the Midnight Channel?" ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ♫

RednalThe TV over in the corner of the room flickered to life with that special sound, and as it had so many nights in the past, Rednal's eyes flicked over to watch. As the 'show' began, he managed to keep a mostly-straight face. As it continued, though... he sunk down, laughing, when the names finally reached him and the narrator declared him the... Intolerable Lolicon Zombie? That wasn't right at all... probably... but whatever. It probably wasn't nice to keep laughing, either, but he couldn't help it as the announcer reached Amelia, and by then Rednal was visibly struggling to keep his laughter under control. None of the others were making him laugh quite as hard as that one, but... "I have no idea what that was... but I like it!" It probably wouldn't be too good if Amelia had seen it, though imaging the look on her face, well... priceless.

The Detective Prince, Naoto Shirogane "KILLJOY?! What is the Meaning of this Demeaning Epithet?!" Naoto called, her hands slamming into the table with a slight annoyance after the midnight channel faded. It had taken a moment to register, and though Ak'thias seemed to have taken his title rather....well, she wasn't exactly pleased at being labelled the '2000 Iq Killjoy Detective. How could he even find such a thing amusing..? she thought, before realizing she had let the broadcast get the better of her.
Naoto eventually paused, adjusting her hat as she took a deep breath, to help calm her emotions. She had to keep a level head...She had to keep her cool.. To focus on their task at Hand....and analyse the situation. Just....what was with that particular broadcast..? "So....Did anyone else notice...the Bear?' Naoto called, taking a quick glance around the room. "Anyone seen Teddie, come to think of it...?" The gears were already turning in her head, though...still.... Sister Complex Kingpin of Steel?

KisaThis is a bad idea, this is a bad idea, this is a bad idea! Kisa was almost hyperventilating outside of Soji's house. Even the night's earlier terror and pain had been pushed downwards, since her thoughts were on the clothing she was wearing. She'd had an illusion before, but... actually having this much on was strange after so long. B-but Raidou was right, and it was probably... probably... for the best that she tell the people she knew first, right...? People appreciated hearing news directly, didn't they? Um... Which meant... she just had to step inside... Oh, come on! She'd faced down deities and devils without batting an eye! All she needed to do was just walk into the room, and not let everyone else declare what sorts of things she could and couldn't do! The girl placed a hand on her chest and breathed in and out a few times, trying to calm her nerves. All right. Three... two... one... now! The girl swallowed deeply, then knocked on the door just once before opening it and slipping into the room. "Um... I'm back." she said, taking a seat on the floor in as nonchalant a manner as she could.

Faustus Necromonium and Kusuri Keiraku There were a medley of things Faust found wrong with what occurred with the prank call, and though he was about to ask Rednal why he was treating Yuno like a pet, lending him her phone for the dare.....Something else happened. The Midnight Channel.... A few passing moments, before the advertisement like show came on....And immediately, no one was safe. If Naoto's insults earlier were merely artillery, this was plain out and out open fire. Surprisingly, Rednal seemed....All too amused at the Showing, wheras Naoto reacted more...expectedly for the situation. "Man-Hating Henpecked Husband..?" he called, tilting his head. It was...true, but at the same time, it wasn't exactly as harsh as some of the other ones. Soji's and chie's in particular...... "Now this is the part where I would smash the television in anger....but it's Soji's, and I don't feel like paying for a new one." Kusuri's voice called out over Faust's, clenching her fist a bit, and scowling as Rednal made an a** of himself, laughing as he did. She honestly wanted to do nothing more than Deck him to snap him out of his craze...but she refrained, taking a deep, tense breath, and exhaling. "Bear...?" she added, having not paid attention until the announcer started listing off names and titles for everyone. "I didn't see...but I haven't seen Teddie around either.." Faust himself started to think at this, piecing together what he knew. Was...there going to be some kind of fight, amoungst them? He didn't really want to fight anyone, (Rednal included) but....Ugh.... "I haven't either..." he called, turning. "Hanamura, you have his number, yeah? If this was a joke...It went a little too far. Involving the midnight channel and all.... A slight glance turned at the new visitor, flinching in case it was Teddie, but laxing as he saw it wasn't. Not that he didn't like the uniformed girl....but he was just a bit more preoccupied at the moment.

"You just came because you thought it sounded like a good time!" "Maybe if you got lucky, you could be a hero." 'Ressentiment? Isn't that French...?" Yosuke said after recouping for a few seconds, following that er, rather embarrassing broadcast. "Stupid bear, you better stop talking right now!" Yosuke shouted at the screen, yammering at it long after they were already gone. He didn't really think that he was going to be heard, but it was more like a coping mechanism, considering how annoying that had been! He didn't need someone embarrassing him on the Midnight Channel like this...w-wait, Midnight Channel? "Hey, how did Teddie get on the TV in the first place? That was the Midnight Channel, right? And that only shows things that are over there." Yosuke glanced to the side, referencing back to the television world and the way things use to be. Well, although many things had changed, it seemed safe to say that people showing up on the Midnight Channel still wasn't normal, and as far as he knew their enemies hadn't said anything about Babel changing the way it worked. Enough, he was getting ahead of them all! Luckily, Faust seemed on top of things as he brought Yosuke out of any frivolous thinking, though there was precious little of that with such a surprise on the table. "R-right. Come to think of it, Ted should have been here at the meeting, too. If he was just ditching, I'm going to tear out all his fur!" Yosuke flipped open his phone, hitting the end button first; the moment he flipped it open a ringing had come, and he knew for sure that would be Chie. When she finally got through, he knew what was coming...but before that could happen, he quickly plucked in the number for Teddie, waiting moments later with his cell next to his ear. "This is weird...he's not picking up. Ted didn't say anything to you, did he Partner?" Yosuke questioned, glancing over towards Soji with a bit of worry. He didn't look worked up, knowing it wouldn't help, but Yosuke definitely had his game face on now after such a shocking episode of the Ruin Someone's Social Life channel. And this time, it looked like they were all under the risk of ending up as misfits... "And that Senpai you were so sweet on? Her death was the perfect excuse!"

Yukiko Amagi Booking a room with her money! How dare him!? And saying all those horrible things about her! And last but not least, that question! Yes, it would have caused the Amagi heiress to burn in indignant rage, and she would have found a way to pay him for it...any other time. Face reddened, and all kinds of feelings bubbled over to the surface and in an instant, fingers were fumbling to grasp her war fan in hand and knock the Junes Prince unconscious...just as lights went out all around them, letting them know the Dark Hour had stricken. Not that the lack of light made her miss her target. It was the tv coming back to life that took the onyx haired girl's attention completely, the clearness of the images in it something that wasn't all that normal, unless...unless someone was already inside. But...well, things had been even stranger lately, so who knew what really was going on in the first place. To put her stomach even more on unease, the most ridiculous, not to mention insulting and just completely insane program appear. Showing every one of them.
"What do they even mean by Snow Black?!" the girl huffed once the tv was once off, not missing the little name given to her. 'The Unconquerable Snow Black'... ... Pshht. There were other names that had caught her attention...and she would have laughed, if her feathers hadn't gone unruffled by her own...and the lingering doubt and confusion of the program as a whole. "Is Teddie behind all this?" The Bear had been there, and he looked as if he were the Host of it. What a terrible joke it was... And almost as if to confirm it, Teddie wasn't picking up his phone. Eyes turned over to Soji, eyebrows furrowed in a thoughtful frown. She wasn't happy. Oh, no. Pushing that aside though... wasn't it strange? 'Fight and survive.' 'The Battle begins tonight'. If she understood correctly, it was almost...putting them...one against the other. But, they were all here...no one was inside the TV...right?

Everyone in Inaba who was watching the channel saw that!? 'The Shrinking Violet Anchor!? I know I can't swim but that title is ridiculous!!.. Wait calm down and think about this.' The girl thought as she calmed down, letting the annoyance clear from her face. Some of the others got worse names than her so she shouldn't really complain. "I haven't seen Teddie all day, I thought he would be home resting after what happened.. There is something that has me confused. We aren't in the television and yet there we are, clear picture and everything. Plus Genji is resting at the hospital and hasn't even woken up. How do they expect him to participate in a P1 Grand Prix?.. Maybe I should go by the hospital and make sure he's still resting." The girl said, now worried that the pink haired teen was thrown into the TV while no one was watching him. ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ♫

Soji Seta, Investigation Team Leader "Show me a hero, and I will write you a tragedy""S...Sister Complex Kingpin?! What the Hell?"
He couldn't stop the incredulous words from slipping past his mouth as the video on the television blared loudly and clearly for every member of the team to see; there were a number of things that they could glean from what they had just watched, but the mere shock of what they had seen would likely render them all momentarily dumbfounded. P...1...Grand Prix? Was it supposed to be some sort of a race? Or a tournament of some kind? Then, what the Hell were the rules? And why were their faces on the television as if they were the ones going to compete? He hadn't remembered signing up for anything like that. I mean, something like that?! How could he forget it? ...His momentary shock began to subside after a few moments and a few voices sounding throughout the room with varying reactions. Rednal was...as tactless as ever, though he supposed if one wasn't entirely offended by their own epithet or considerate about the feelings others might have about their own, that one might find them relatively funny. Naoto, quick as a whip, began to dive straight into the heart of the matter after her own exclamation of surprise; Yosuke echoed her sentiments and tried to get Teddie on the phone to demand an explanation, to no avail. Faust and Kusuri were on the same line of thought as well, but with the bear not answering, they were going to have to go somewhere else if they wanted to figure out just what was going on. ...Just to be sure, he flipped open his own phone and hit the speed dial for Teddie, but it didn't even ring once before the line was dead. It was almost as if the line didn't exist right now...but how on Earth could that be? "I can't get in touch with Teddie, either. ...This isn't good. Teddie is missing, and the image was clear, which means this could be the signal that another victim is inside the TV...but then, I thought the TV world and Babel were the same now. ...Does this mean it's not? Or that Babel can be accessed during the daytime if we use the TV, like last year? Too many things about this don't make sense..." his voice began to trail, before a sudden look crossed his features and he flipped his phone open quickly, dialing a number. The guys who weren't here needed to know about this; maybe one of them knew more about it than he did? There was one person in particular about whom he worried, however, and when his fingers traced the keypad in a familiar pattern he prayed for the person on the other line to pick up...but just like with Teddie before, the line was completely dead. And his heart sank. "Rise isn't picking up, either...or rather, it's most like the line is completely dead. Does that mean that she's involved in this with Teddie, too?" His expression dampened, eyes shifting once to the girl at his side, as if in silent thanks that she was still there beside him...but before he could give it anymore thought, Nix brought up a point that had his insides turning icy as well.
"Genji was in that video, too...can he even endure something like the TV World or Babel in his condition right now? Could it be that this is how whoever is behind the Shades intends to target him next...?" he thought aloud, before shaking his head and running long fingers through silver hair in exasperation, "No, that doesn't make sense, either...why would Teddie and Rise be involved if that were the case? They would know he could get hurt, so there is no way they would put him in danger. ...I wish this were some kind of joke...but no matter how I think about it, I can't deny what we just saw." His breath escaped him in a frustrated sigh; suddenly the delicious food before him tasted a little too cold and sour. Were they all about to be dragged into a new and dangerous trial? Wasn't there any way to avoid people getting hurt? And just what the Hell was a P1 Grand Prix? Did somebody really think they could get the members of the team to fight one another...? No, that's not necessarily what it is, either...they couldn't assume they knew exactly what was going on from a simple trailer. Still, if somebody was in the TV and that was the cause of all this...if Ted and Rise had something to do with it, too...there was no getting around it. They had to investigate.
"There's no getting around it, guys..." his voice was solemn, but determination filled it as it always did when things became serious, "We need to check the TV tomorrow and find out what's going on. ...If we can still go inside the TV, even if it takes us to Babel, then people can be thrown into the TV as well. That means that this could be caused by somebody being tossed inside, right? ...And that means we've got to save them. That's all there is to it..."

The Detective Prince, Naoto Shirogane Naoto was relieved to see that some of the others had enough self respect to be just as offended by the inappropriate titles, especially Soji. She didn't expect it to rattle him as much as it did. However, as Faust and Yosuke started pulling them along, with Yukiko wondering if Teddie was behind it..And then Soji and Nix pointing out a bit of irregularity... Amagai.. she thought, knowing of the pink haired Persona user, if but scarcely. She hadn't been as invested in the team as she could have been...but the thought of an injured figure being forced to compete.... "If Teddie and Rise are both missing..then that must mean something...." she started, placing a finger to her mouth to think. Perhaps...there is something pertaining to their abilities.. she thought quietly, before glancing outside. "This new time....doesn't it suppress electronics because of the atmosphere? If so, then maybe their phones simply aren't working..." Though, Naoto couldn't be certain...it would make sense...Though, there had to be a connection. She had a feeling though...a small instinct as to a slight irregularity. "Teddie's a buffoon..but he's not malicious." she stated, showing she had some trust in the bear. "There's more to this than we can tell right now..." Naoto pulled on her hat, thinking. There were so many factors...And so many issues. So many things were just new.... And, at this, Soji plotted their course of attack. Naoto nodded firmly, waving her hand a bit. "Understood." Naoto called, signalling that she was following along with Soji's plan. Hopefully, the TV would take them where they needed to go...And if someone was in danger, being able to save them was a necessity....

Faustus Necromonium and Kusuri Keiraku Faust cringed a bit at hearing that Yosuke couldn't get ahold of Teddie....and how Soji couldn't either. Nothing for Rise either, but...Hmm... A thought then occured to him, as he glanced back. "Ak'thias....We shouldn't leave Yuno outside." he called quietly, motioning towards the door. "It's...you know. The time." He wanted to go out himself, but figured Rednal at least should go.....Though Faust would be out the door in an instant if something happened. As Soji decided on their goals for tommorow, he nodded quietly, and glanced around. "That's about all we can do, at this rate..." Kusuri nodded quietly, and let out a sigh, pinching her nose in frustration, and to calm herself down from...the broadcast. "I'm not exactly spoiling for a fight against anyone, for the record." she added quietly, glancing around the room. Yes, not even Rednal. She didn't like the idea of having to bust the skulls of a comrade...And the whole Grand Prix thing seemed all...out of hand. she had a bad feeling about this.... "So...tommorow, then.." she muttered, silently pondering whether or not this was going to end horribly. The video did say it was a 'Desperate Fighting Program', so..... Ugh...this whole thing was just..frustrating at this time of night. Just once, couldn't they have a party that didn't have a sour taste to it afterwards?!

And I would like to think Teddie isn't capable of making something so cruel." Cruel was a good word to use in Nix's personal opinion. Making a program where friends fight against one another isn't right. Friends are not supposed to raise a hand to one another, they are supposed to support one another instead. She nodded to Soji when he said they needed to investigate the TV. If someone was thrown into that world then they needed to save them before it was too late. "I agree.. Tomorrow I hope everything goes well. I don't know if I could fight any of you." The girl frowned a little to herself, knowing that a good portion of her teammates could easily overpower her.
Nix shook her head a little, not wanting to think about harming any of her friends. Right now there was something she needed to check. "Hopefully Naoto is right and that their phones are simply not working.. Soji Seta, Investigation Team Leader "Show me a hero, and I will write you a tragedy"All things considered, this was a pretty normal evening.
...And that was what concerned him the most.
The past several months, after all, had been anything but what any normal person would consider to be 'sane' or 'average' for the silver-haired leader of the Investigation Team. He had fought demons, gods, incarnations of Lovecraftian abominations, his own inner self, evil doppelganger friend monsters, a skull-faced Fiend in a monk's outfit, a steam-rolling shadow, and that was just a part of the list of things that he had dueled. That didn't even begin to cover the weird stuff he'd encountered, taken part in...did he mention the Featherman show that had devolved into a dual-Shade throwdown during the Dark Hour?...the things he'd seen, watched, heard about, or that his friends had shared stories of during that time. And yet somehow today he had been able to go to school (for an abbreviated cameo), visit Junes, and come home with almost nothing strange having happened at all. He had sat down in the living room with Nanako and watched television while she played, he had eaten dinner with her at the kitchen table after cooking it like normal (a quite delicious dinner, too...he really did miss cooking normally), and as the evening progressed he had allowed himself to slip into his normal relaxation clothes and made his way up to his room where he now rested on the couch with a book between his fingers and the weather channel rattling on the television about this and that. It was all very...normal. And that was, these days, perhaps the most abnormal thing there could be.
...
Of course, there was the Direwolf he had encountered waiting for him outside of his home to consider. He hadn't been sure how to react to that (he considered running, calling Animal Control, and sneaking into the house quietly before he realized it was watching him as though it knew him), but when he began to speak to it in a quiet voice...and then tried singing to it for God knows what reason...it had reacted rather keenly. In fact, if he didn't know better, he would say that it knew him personally...that it was listening and loyal to him. And when he had commanded it just once to do something for him, it had looked at him with understanding eyes and then done exactly that, its smoke gray fur ruffling only slightly in annoyance as it began to dig at the patch of grass beside the house to clear out some space for vegetables to be planted. But hey, gardening was boring...who would want to waste their evenings doing that in a video game, anyway?!...and the wolf (which he had named Grey Wind after seeing how fast it chased the mail carrier down the street) hadn't complained much about digging for Nanako's project, so...but the point was, the wolf was loyal. His hand now went to the ears of the massive wolf that had situated itself beside him and nearer to the door as he read, scratching idly.
...
Yep, just a totally normal day what with random giant wolves following him home and seeming to become bonded to him in a fashion he couldn't quite understand...damn it, even his NORMAL days were weird now! What in the Hell was WRONG with his life?!
...
He sighed as he closed the book and looked at the wolf, clearly enjoying the slab of cooked beef he had prepared in a dish for it, and he smiled faintly...it wasn't the worst companion to have, that was for sure. After all, there was Nozomi from the last game and...wait, no, that was a bit too meta...but Hisano, for sure...no, that wasn't the point. His smile faded as he glanced towards the television and changed the channel, one of Rise's commercials suddenly on the screen, and the sight of her in that swimsuit reminded him of better days spent at the beach and scooter trips they needed to take soon...ah, he missed spending normal days with his friends. Idly, he wondered what some of them were up to...Guile, E. Honda, Blanka, Ryu, Ken...wait, no, those were Street Fighter Characters.
Minori...Rednal...Faust...Naoto...Kanji...Teddie...Zeo...and Yukiko...Rise...those other guys, too...what were they up to, anyway?

Soji Seta, Investigation Team Leader "Show me a hero, and I will write you a tragedy"It was just about at that moment when he had begun to miss his friends and wish that they could have a decently peaceful night together when at long last, the sound of soft footfalls up the stairs took his attention away from whatever idle thought had him longing for more interesting times. That would be Nanako, but with her bedtime still not quite upon them he wondered what it would be that had her climbing up so soon into the upper reaches of the Dojima Home. If it was something troublesome he imagined there would have been a bit more noise; therefore she was either sleeping early (unlikely since he saw her wide awake not very long ago) or needed something from him. That curiosity was answered almost immediately by the gentle rapping of adorable little hands curled into a ball against his sliding door. It was featherlight, but enough to get his attention as it always was. Being the Big Bro was a responsibility he took quite seriously, after all. And if his little sis needed him, he'd smash through walls in order to reach her no matter how small the request.
'Sister Complex Kingpin,' he thought dismissively, rolling his eyes as he stood and moved to the door, sliding it open to see the adorable little chocolate eyes looking up at him expectantly, 'Bah!' Right, right... "What is it, Nanako? Do you need something?" he asked gently and with a smile, and his ease comforted her enough that she offered a small grin of her own. It was so radiant that he felt his big-bro heart melt just a little...and even if he request had been to leap from the window then and there, it would have been his most pleasant duty to comply. Seriously, kids just weren't fair when it came to them wanting stuff! Not that he thought so out loud or in silence, of course.
"Big Bro...um...my teacher forgot to give us our extra summer homework before the break...and so she gave us some to do over the weekend. And..." her hands wrung, as if she were nervous about asking. She knew he wouldn't mind, but still, she liked to be able to care for herself and not ask for help. In her heart, Nanako still believed she needed to be strong...to support her daddy and Big Bro and Big Sis as much as they looked after her, too...and she didn't like asking for help if she didn't really need it. This, however, was a daunting task. And as she held the stack of papers from her teacher in her hand, her Big Bro perceived both her need and her worry. His smile curled his lips and he was answering her before she even said what she needed any further...earning the brightest smile yet.
"I'll call up some of my friends, Nanako," the tall silverette smiled faintly as he passed his hand gently over her hair, fingers of his other already searching for his cell, "Why don't you go set up at the table downstairs and I'll see who is willing to come over and lend you a hand with me?"
She smiled brightly and nodded, dancing down the stairs with renewed energy and tripled adorableness. And at the top of the stairs her Big Bro nearly shined, a godly and radiant pillar of dependable brotherly love and generosity as he was...or...something like that! At the very worst, she'd love her Big Bro all the more for helping out. At the best, maybe showing the value of having so many friends "visiting" the house (read: occasionally occupying space for more than a day...or more) would get his Uncle to stop threatening to send him back on the train he came from with...and quote..."That entire party of weirdos you have following you home all the time!" ...Or it was something like that, his memory may have been a bit hazy...he had been just on the successful side of a troublesome demonic attack from a Fiend that had sought his Candelabra at the time, and...well, he'd taken a knock to the head...but that wasn't the point! He could at least make him see that it was useful having so many varied friends...right? ...Right?
His fingers flipped open the phone and began to type up the small mass text he intended to send. Who would answer the call, he wondered?
'I just hope this doesn't turn out to be as bad an idea as the last text I sent...' he thought...but any elaboration on that epic story for the humble reader was to be told another time.Text Message To: Ciela Kuzunoha I, Sapphire, Rednal Ak'Thias, Kusuri Keiraku, Faustus Necromonium, Kensu Whose Last Name I Need to Learn, Minori Koroko, Yukiko Amagi, Rise Kujikawa, Chie Satonaka, Kanji Tatsumi, Zeo Kirijo, Yosuke Hanamura, Teddie Fluffbottom, Naoto Shirogane, etc. (25 More...)
