Description: The origins of Ruby are unknown to anyone...even to the old blacksmith to whom she currently owes her beloved meals of fish and the comfy bed in the back of the forge where she likes to take her afternoon naps...what is known, however, is what she believes. Ruby, you see, believes that she is a dragon. Not just any dragon, mind you, but the Red Dragon...one of the Four Dragons of Althena, the one true creator Goddess of both Moon and Earth. This claim, she says, dates back thousands...maybe even millions of years into the past to a time when...she claims...the moon itself was the inhabited planet and the Earth was merely a barren world of dust, debris, and ash. Of that Lunar world, Althena was the creator and the true Goddess...and born from her power to watch over the world upon which she had given her love were Four Dragons, each bearing a quarter of her immense power. Those dragons were the White, Red, Blue, and Black Dragons...and with each new generation of these 'Dragons', another would inherit the power that came before. However, these legends have been lost to time, and if there was ever any truth to them...to the idea that Althena gave life to the Earth when the Lunar world was corrupted...can never truly be ascertained. However, Ruby herself claims them to be true...and insists that she is the true heir to the power of the Red Dragon. The only problem with this is...she looks like a cat. But there is more to Ruby than meets the eye...she does look like a cat, however, she also has a pair of wings with which she can fly...and from her mouth she can spit a small deal of fire, from her claws she can slash with a force beyond any normal feline. But despite these traits and the claims upon which she rests her identity, one can only wonder how much...if any...of the legends she talks about could possibly be true. And if she IS, in fact, a dragon as she claims to be...why is she trapped in the form she bears now? Some questions, unfortunately, must remain unanswered...until the time is right. In personality, Ruby is a bit of a brat and has a mouth that doesn't quit...you can always count on her to speak up if something is wrong, to complain if she is hungry, and to always be there for you whenever you need her to be...a true friend, albeit a feisty one.
Effect: Effects vary between two forms:
Cat Form - In cat form, Ruby can spew fire for High damage upon any foe, evade any Earth attacks by flying, and her claws deal 1-3 strikes of Medium Phys Damage. She resists fire and has no discernible weaknesses save Physical attacks.
Dragon Form - Post-transformation, Ruby absorbs all fire attacks lobbies at her or her summoner, and any fire she spews will deal Severe, Boosted Damage to one enemy. Massive as she is, her physical attacks will deal Severe Physical Damage to any enemy. She is also large enough for Tezuka to ride in this form, allowing him to fight while mounted and airborne. She no longer has any weaknesses and resists both Phys and Almighty. There may be greater power within to unlock from Ruby in this form, however as a very young dragon, she has yet to mature into the full might she is capable of unleashing. Can only be transformed once every three days.
