After sleeping for what felt like an eternity yet was only a couple of hours, Hibiki made an irritable grumble. There was still a while before those who worked in the hangar actually came here. Now what was he supposed to do? Rose had said he couldn't go out on the mission nor work with the animals and his sisters husbands would be sure he didn't attempt sneaking off to do so. Heck, they each had their posts in each of the general vicinities so he would have at least one of them glaring at him. Setting his mask back in place, he stood back up and started out of the hangar while softly singing to himself. At least no one could complain if he was just walking around. He wasn't straining his arm any by doing so.

Unfortunately, just walking around wasn't going to make his day any better. He wanted to be active and helping with the animals. Inactive hands were unhappy hands. Unhappy hands lead to an unhappy Hibiki. An unhappy Hibiki lead to anyone coming across him being unhappy whether they be sad or angry at something he did or said. It was why he didn't like interacting with people. Someone would say he could or couldn't do something and he'd have nothing to do other than listening to whiners complain about something.

Pausing in his walk, he glanced up at the darkly clouded sky and the ash falling. What to do... Sighing, he started walking again as he continued singing behind his mask. Only his sisters, his grandmother, the leader and the animals had ever heard him sing so he kinda figured no one would know it was his voice which meant people wouldn't bug him about it.

Continuing on with his walk, Hibiki kept on with his singing even though he saw that Rose was a few feet ahead of him. Long legs didn't always do him any favors in avoiding people. Oh well. At least he had the opportunity to tease someone by singing and making people wonder who it was. Switching up the words a little bit, he continued on while brushing his reddish-brown hair out of his face. He needed a haircut, but his family wouldn't let him get one due to the fact that the girls liked the fact that he looked more feminine with semi-long hair. Or more bluntly put, the girls wished he was a female at times while they liked him as a male at others. No matter what he did, they were never happy.

Pausing in his singing, he poked Rose in the back with a mischievous smile. “Hey there, Rose. Sorry if I seemed irritable and pissy last night. Julia, my eldest sister that was inviting you in, was bugging me while I was working yesterday 'cause I skipped breakfast and a lecture on various topics I'd rather not speak of. Forgive me for making you cry and getting snippy?” he hummed in the tune of Hallelujah while remaining beside her. While awaiting her response, he started back up on the song he'd been singing earlier only in a hum this time.

“Well... I'm gonna have to let you see my arm again sometime later today so... Sure. Why the heck not? Besides that, I've got nothin' else better to do since you've restricted me from work of any kind. Also, I still feel nothing from that shot you gave me last night other than the usual slight swelling around where you stuck the needle in. I told the last nurse who gave me a tetanus shot about my hypothesis of being allergic to it, but whatever. It'll go down in a day or two so long as I don't scratch at it,” he answered while pretending to ignore her first comment. How could he tell someone that his sisters controlled nearly every aspect of his life and to them he was either too feminine or too masculine? That he was either too pretty or too sloppy? Letting out a soft sigh, he motioned for Rose to keep walking onwards towards the hospital.

“I'm so fed up with everyone around me; no one seems to care. I'm just so far gone and nothing's gonna change; I'll never be the same. It's always "do this", "do that"; nothing that you want to. I don't want to live that way. Every chance they get they're always pushing me away. It's never enough. No, it's never enough. No matter what I say. It's never enough. No, it's never enough. I'll never be what you want me to be,” he hummed softly for a few paces before glancing back up at Rose and giving her an apologetic look. “Sorry. It's how I feel sometimes and I think the animals pick up on it so they're always like super nice to me... This is probably the most I've talked to anyone... Odd. Oh well. My sisters won't let me cut it or put it in a ponytail or anything really. Everytime I turn around, they're telling me what to do or ganging up on me for some stupid reason.” He kicked over a pile of ash and shook his head slightly. He didn't know why he did it, he just did. He just felt like goofing off and acting childish by playing in the ash falling like snow around them.

“Not exactly your fault. You're just doing your job after all. Go on ahead and complain about me doing this, but it's not gonna get me to set you back on your feet until we reach the hospital,” Hibiki responded while slouching a bit and lifting Rose up off her feet, carrying her over his shoulder to the hospital.

After carrying her into the hospital, he tapped the bell on the nurse's desk with his freehand. When a nurse approached him with a raised eyebrow, he gave a slight peace sign. “You should give her a few hours of sleep. You guys are running her ragged. If you keep pushing her, you're gonna kill her. Common sense people. Use it,” he stated icily while slightly pointing at an empty room. The nurse scurried ahead of him, opening the door and setting up the room while he set Rose down on the little bedical bed.

“Alrighty~ I said I would stay with you and so I will. You need rest, lil' miss sleep-skipper. I'm not stupid,” he smiled at the female while sitting in the chair that was still in the room after having moved it closer to the bed. He was good at keeping his word, but there few who knew that due to his being antisocial.
