When he woke up at 4:30 a.m, he wasn't as cranky as he normally would've been. Keeping his pajama's on, Chris went into the kitchen and turned on the radio, waiting for Ginny to come on. He made a cup of coffee and some toast, brushing his teeth before both were ready, and by the time he came back into the kitchen, the show was on and his food was done. Sipping his black coffee and munching his slightly burnt toast, Chris smiled as he listened to Ginny. Ring. Ring. Ring. "Yes, hello? Can I request a song?" Chris decided to surprise the radio show host that he had taken out, not even 24 hours ago. ☊☋☊☋☊☋☊☋☊☋☊☋☊☋☊☋☊☋☊☋☊☋☊☋☊☋☊☋☊☋☊☋☊☋☊☋☊☋☊☋☊☋☊☋☊☋☊☋☊☋☊☋☊☋☊☋☊☋Ӎȯȯɗ:Happy, amusedζȯϲᾳϮɩȯɳ:HomeШɩϯɦ:No oneШеᾳɾɩηɡ:xhe can say he doesn't like pie when he sees there isn't enough to go around."

Ginny was reading an article on one of the studio's laptops and listening to radio commercials when Karen knocked on the door. Ginny looked up and smiled, motioning for the other woman to come in. "Hey Ginny, we've got a man on the phone who wants to request a song. Shall we record him or do it live?" Ginny glanced up at the clock on the wall and saw she had only a few more seconds before she had to go on the air again. "Let's do it live. Not very many people request music this early so it'd be a nice change in pace." Karen nodded and closed the door behind her before walking over to the control panel and the phone. "Alright, sir, Ginny will be with you shortly. I want to give you a head's up that you're going to be live in 5... 4... 3..." Ginny put her headset back on and moved closer to the microphone. "Aaand I'm back! I know how much you guys missed me so I couldn't stay away a moment longer! And you know what else is exciting? We've got someone calling in to make a request! Hi there! Tell us your name and the song you'd like me to play for you."

I'd like to request Shake It Out by Florence and the Machine. Can I dedicate to a girl?" he asked, taking a sip of his coffee. "I won't say any names, but she's the girl I went on a date with last night. Ginny listened to man's request, a grin slowly creeping on her face as she recognized who it was. "Good choice!" she said, resting her elbow on the table and then her chin in her hand. "Now, Chris, mind if I ask you a couple questions while we look for your song? I don't want to sound like a downer, but are you sure she's listening right now? I mean, it's still pretty early and any normal girl should be getting her beauty sleep right."

Ginny found herself blushing and was thankful that no one could see her. Well, Karen could, but she did not count. "Coffee would be pretty good right now..." she said softly, not realizing that she was thinking out loud. "And 'she's not a normal girl'? Are you saying she's a mutant or something?"

Glancing over at Karen, the other woman smiled and shook her head but gave Ginny the thumbs up to let her know the song was ready. "Yeah, you're right," she told Chris, returning her attention back to the microphone. "So here it is, ladies and gents, 'Shake It Off' by Florence and the Machine. And Chris? That girl sounds pretty lucky to have you."

Ginny was about to return her attention to the news article when she heard Chris's voice in her headset. Glancing over at Karen, the other woman winked and pointed to the 'On Air' light that was currently turned off. Ginny blushed like crazy, not expecting to talk to Chris right after her little heartfelt comment. "Uh... n-no, they can't," she said. "And I guess it isn't clingy... I mean, if I were asleep in my apartment at this time then maybe? But since I'm awake and at work it's fine. Just don't make it a habit," she added with a laugh.

Ginny smiled and thought about Chris's question. "Well..." she started, giving herself a few more seconds to think. "I like pandas... and meerkats... panthers... wolves... Would you believe me if I said snakes? I actually find them really fascinating..." She chuckled softly and looked at the timer underneath the 'On Air' sign. She still had ten minutes before she had to talk to her audience again.

"Right?" Ginny asked with a smile. "They're probably my second-favorite animal." Hearing Chris drink his coffee, she rolled her eyes. "Uh huh. Jerk." She reached out to hang up on him when he got a few more words in. Blushing once again, Ginny heard the click and leaned back in her seat. That guy... She smiled and shook her head, eager to wrap things up at the radio station and get to her job at the diner. Once there, she got herself a regular coffee with two creams and two sugars. As she sipped it slowly she kept an eye on the door, ready to help anyone that walked in.

It was so fun to tease and talk to Ginny. When he was done, he got dressed in a rather simple outfit and made his way to the diner for a cheap breakfast, and a confirmation with Ginny. Chris strolled through the doors and sat at the table he always sat out, slightly put out. He had run out of contacts and had to wear his dorky glasses. Chris could only pray that Ginny wouldn't mind. God...One date and I'm already hoping she doesn't think I look horrible with glasses?
