But he was really close to a blueblood, of all trolls, and Alifax could see Frossa in his sight line behind them. Okay, he definitely didn't want to throw too far and get her by mistake. So he searched out a pretty greenblood troll with stars on her horns. Green was low, right? ...lower than blue or purple, anyway.

Not until after this troll was out. It was almost a relief that this balloon didn't contain black goo, and Alifax allowed himself a small smile as it hit its target. Now to line up again.
