"Singin like a siren?" Tex repeated. "Jack... did it seem to affect people? Where they stopped, maybe? Acted funny? Although--if she was a ghost, I ain't sure..." His ma was a valkyrie, he knew about using song to mess with heads well enough. But if she was a ghost, maybe not... It was interesting how none of them got on his case for being DETH. Then again, unlike Argyle, he wasn't shoving it in their faces. "If there's two of them," he said slowly, "How the jack do we know we didn't just walk into a two ended trap?"

"You're telling me," Macthor snorted, cracking a small smile, "Better find him before he turns into a broken, crying mess, yeah?" That was just how their bro was. He was kind of a kid sometimes, but hell, Macthor loved--er. Tolerated. Macthor tolerated his bro.

He ventured farther in then, palms pressed against the walls as he tried to find his way through the darkness of the cave. In fact, he was concentrating so hard that he didn't notice when the footsteps behind him--Akithor's--suddenly disappeared.
At least, not until he reached the corridor. He narrowed his eyes when he realized that it was blocked off, cursing quietly under his breath. Now what? "Damnit. Looks like we can't get through here, bro--...bro?" The thunderbird paused, turning and squinting into the darkness.
"...Bro?"
Oh Jackdamnit.

The warning was a soft crackle-
- And then something glowing at the center point of each corridor. Something buried into the ground, a small ornamental dagger-shaped object, with odd glowing runes-
- Not a second later, the entire corridors echoed with electricity, sharp, thick crackles that traveled from student to student. Some went down instantly, snagged by a foot, a tail, an arm perhaps, the electricity now taking form against them, a meshed net-like pattern. It hurt to touch, it burned and corroded their Fear at contact.
Several students had been trapped. TRAPPED! - Odd electric "nets" have sprung up without warning from the hallways, trapping some students, or parts of students. Anyone who the net touches suddenly feels numb, they cannot move and are temporarily paralyzed (though talking is mostly just a struggle). Most of all it hurts, though anyone touching it will only be subject to the pain as well. - Roll a 6-sided dice. If you roll 1 OR 6, you get snagged by the net and cannot move any further from the cave. If not, you continue on as always. - Oddly enough now, the corridor that should have been blocked is now open. Despite the injured students, do they still press onwards? What awaits them at the end....? - You do NOT need to roll the 1d100 any longer, everyone is assumed to be around the same point now.

Victory was startled by the sudden overwhelming number of other students stuck at this dead end. In fact, although he loved company, he was starting to feel more and more uneasy. Victory didn't really do the whole trapped in the dark thing.
He was startled by some ghoul's arrival, as she seemed to be addressing someone. "Got lost in the cave too?" he asked her. "I'd be pretty happy to see Ava or Avery right now..." He did, however, realize it was Callie shortly after. Storytime friend! His mood brightened, and he laughed and tried to approach her to greet her properly.
Until he realized how wrong his previous thought had been. He did not, in fact, wish Avery or Ava were here, because there were very awful nets suddenly being launched at them. Thankfully, he was swift-footed as per usual; being one of the Tylwyth came in handy on a regular basis. He looked around frantically for his friend(s), hoping no one had been caught... And they'd better move soon.

It seemed Tex had said the magic words. Before Vel could even give her input... electric nets of some sort had suddenly flew on out at the lot of them. She quickly ducked, barely avoiding getting herself snagged in it.
"What the flying Jack!?" she cried out before raising up her claws in an attempt to try and find who had done that, ready for a fight.

When she found the blocked pathway, Tarot heard a soft crackle. She looked around and spotted something glowing in one of the corridors, in fact, there was a glow in each of them. Her eyes widened. What was this—
There was the crackle of electricity as something shot out at the group of students. Tarot managed to duck, but some of the other students were not as successful. She wildly looked around and searched for a familiar face.

"You're jackin' me," Tex muttered a bit incredulously. The net wrapped around him tightly, pulling him against the wall, where he was stuck. His body refused to move. Even his mouth refused to move. The pain was agonizing, to the point where a tiny moan escaped him, his eyes shutting tightly as he tried to regain control of his body.
Jackdammit, he had a date on Moonday!!

Wow, okay. It seemed that the Defenders, in addition to being completely braindead, had also gone deaf. He glared at them before stepping towards the nearest wall, smudging out a message in the glowing, glistening remnants of his own blood. "If I could just direct your attention to this glowing wall," he spat, motioning to it in as animated a fashion as he could muster.

"Sounds suspicious. Maybe a siren-ghost of some kind, then?" Cricket suggested. It sounded kind of stupid, but it was the only 'real' answer she could come up with.
However, it seemed like moments after she spoke,
electricity began to move through their numbers. Cricket was mostly exempt from anything but some pain, able to move almost freely, but she found herself looking to those who were being left to linger.
"ALRIGHT, IF YOU CAN MOVE, GO." she said firmly, "I'M GOING TO STICK BACK AND TAKE CARE OF THOSE WHO CAN'T"

Akithor had looked behind him for a moment after hearing a sound of crumpling rock. Before he knew it, his bro had disappeared. "Jack damn! Macthor! MACTHOR!"
Following was a shock. No, it wasn't like his particular brand of electroshock at all. What it was- he didn't know. But there was no way of getting out of the clutches of it. Pinned down, the boil was trapped.

d**k Hair...Greek..... siren stuff...Siren Ghost? Oh man, this was kind of hurting his head.
"Sounds complicated..."
d**k listened to the information passed back and forth between the people who had actually GONE to the forest to talk to the strange reaper, and he had to admit it was a lot for him to wrap his head around.
Never the less, the second it seemed s**t was hitting the fan and they could progress further, he was moving, making a point to grab anybody who wasn't immediately paralyzed to push them onwards.
Cricket had said she was taking care those who couldn't progress, so...
"Someone needs to cover Cricket, everybody else out!"

Jackdamnit, where was Akithor?! He wouldn't...he couldn't leave without him! Macthor began to take a step back the way he came, only the pause, his lips spreading into a frown. This place was like a maze. There would no way he could remember the exact path that he had followed, and Jack knows if Akithor had branched off into a completely different direction. It would be nigh impossible to find him in this darkness to boot--
--Something was wrong.
Macthor jerked back instinctively, a hiss escaping his lips when he felt something graze against the edge of his right wing. "What the hell is this?" It...it kind of burned, didn't it?
All it took a was a quick glance around to reveal what it was that had just missed him. The boil's eyes widened at the sight of one of the other students captured within a net, and then his mind wandered back to his bros.
Macthor suddenly swore. Loudly. Pulling out his phone, he began to type out a panicked text to send to the both of them, hoping that they'd reply because...w-well, that would mean that they were safe, right? He was about halfway through when he suddenly spotted a familiar figure from the corner of his eye. Before he realized what he was doing, he was calling out to her and walking over in a brisk--and somewhat panicked--manner.
"Tarot! I...have you seen Westhor? Or Akithor?"

" I certainly don' like it. Not one bit." Quin growled. " Dere's somethin' fishy goin' on and I want ta get ta the bottom of it." But before she would be getting to the bottom of anything it seemed they were all under attack. It only fed her suspicion. Leaping back Quin barely avoided the nets that cast out to snag some students. Emerald eyes narrowing she stared in the direction she had heard the chuckle. " Out of my way." Quin snarled at those trying to block the tunnel. If they couldn't see this was bad news and needed to be stopped they had no right to be here.

A siren ghost made about as much sense as anything else -
- the crackling sound made Ren jump, dodging automatically away from the nearest dagger, but when the nets sprang up, the strands of electricity tangled around him anyway. He cursed and struggled uselessly against the binding. He'd escaped one trap and walked straight into another.
