Edge shifted to settle himself beside the bar where Kai had taken residence as she waited, long bladed tail curling around his even more bladed claws. His head turned slightly as his sensors took note of Atelius. So much of the ancient power surrounded everything lately. But he was tired. And tired meant annoyed- more annoyed than usual. A low hiss resounded, but it was quiet enough that only those paying strict attention to him would notice.

Sakashi didn't respond to whatever Edge was communicating. She leaned forward over the bar table on her elbows as if shadowing her face slightly. Not that it mattered. With the ancient black dragon beside her, there would be no mistaking her identity.

As the bartender returned her canteen, she slung it over a shoulder. But, she didn't leave yet. The soldier remained sitting, and sipped her drink rather than downing it quickly to run out the door. It would be doubtful that someone like her would allow exhaustion to make her pause an important trip, so she must want something- one could deduce. A bar was a great way to hear things. Sakashi was one who rarely socialized. What she knew was of very limited spectrum, though frequently invaluable.

She leaned her head to the side, holding her glass above the table with one hand rested on her elbow. The other, also rested on the elbow, she rested her cheekbone on- one icy grey eye examining the pair in the corner. They looked.. familiar. But not personally familiar to her. Perhaps image files? She couldn't place names.

Somewhere in the distance

One is near.

Two very long ears twitched, suddenly erect. The 'hair tufts' on each tip were extremely sensitive antennas, and the signal that just caught them made the ancient seeker stop dead in his endless travels.

"Yeah, yeah, you always say that." Rhett sighed, lifting one booted foot after the other as he trudged up some hill. Midstep, the golden metal feline turned on a claw, its nasty expression zeroed in on... well.. exactly where they'd come. Even though they had been walking the opposite direction for possibly hours at this point.

"....You can't be serious." A pleading groan met no heed as Arrow pointed back in the direction of the bar.

Risk stopped before taking another step toward Kai at Regent's touch. "yes meh'sir."

All focus shifted to his hand and continued to watch it even as it slid up her arm. Focus than snapped to the hooded figure. Golden eyes burned with a silent warning to him. Should he dare try to... GAH, Of course he would show up here. Risk seemed to bristle a bit at his approach, ready to defend her employer if need be.

"An I dun recall anyone spekin' of deh devil..." She growled coolly under her breath to the cloaked man. "Give meh a holla if dis one become difficult..." She leaned close to Regent as she added more warmly to him. Once that was cleared out of the way she turned attention back to the republic soldier and her shadow than continued her approach. Golden eyes locked unwavering upon the both of them.

"Can the antics..." the man snapped. Unamused... His own golden gaze only gave Risk so much as a side glance. Most of his attention was cemented upon the merchant. "I need information on Riot's location, now."

His teeth almost grit as he spoke, the man had something obviously eating away at his mind. Enough to where he would dare even speak as such with a bristled bodyguard within attacking distance. The man obviously had a goal and would obtain it by any means. Though, if one were to have watched him closely, he too gave the republic soldier and her shadow several side glances.

Regent let his hand shift from Risk as his sight had turned fully back on the cloaked figure.

Shifting his hand to his side, his wrapped hand mindlessly felt his side at the growl. His other hand reached to his chin and beard, where he stroked and straightened the long goatee that was unraveled.

A chuckle left the barter to the Islander's words, as he looked at the other male. How fitting.

"Yes, Beloved." Regent answered not taking his sight from the cloaked figure. His head tilted to the side at the comment of Riot as he eyed the other peacefully and vary curiously.....what a strange demand.

Though still one, and he did know a little something about it..

At the 'request', his hand shifted from his beard to gesture to the dice. He had to roll, just like everyone else....

"Information comes at a price, friend."
The Merchant's lips parted in a smile.

"Just as everything and all choices...."
He then mused to the serious male across from him.

Nagatsuki Kitsune
Kreig examined his own cards a moment, before shifting his own Azure gaze to what seemed to be plaguing the birds mind. A small shutter reverberated through the organoid's frame as he made eye contact with the black shadow. Interesting. There was some odd connection... what- oh right, they were playing a game.

"yes, I would need a hat. Possibly one of those ties... fancy one." As the others, Kreig exchanged two cards and gave his hand another look... and still couldn't help but give the other organoid a side glance. Something familiar.

Atelius looked up to Talon, craning his neck a bit so he could be as close to his master's ear without hopping on the table.

"S-sir, that's one of the dre..." he stopped to looked at the other two 'guests' at the table. "you know who's children..."

His beak clicked again as the possessed seekers did to call for back up. A habit just recently brought to light by his recent mind trip.

PuddleInk
He resigned his cards to the hand of the spider. Upper class? An eyebrow rose and Talon laughed. Scratching at his neck he shrugged, "No. I am far from that bunch. My blood is too steeped in metal and oil to be one of them. "

Curiosity pulled at him, and Talon took a quick look at his cards. Somehow that spider knew what it was doing. He was mildly impressed...Machines had all the luck it seemed. "Took work as a scrapper to get through education, then ended up drafted after landing work in the city once the Battle Commission folded. " he added to clear anything up. Most of that was on his public profile and no doubt folks knew all sorts of things about him on either side.

His gaze lifted to the dino in thought. Indeed Kreig would look quite snazzy in a hat. Perhaps one of them bowler hats would do nicely. But it wasn't his place to find such a thing. He had one more mechanical thing to look after back at base. Cuddles was no doubt causing chaos in the bunks.

"There is nothing wrong with getting drunk, " Talon smirked, "So long one has mind to keep their head. "

(editadd)

He did pick up what Atelius was saying and gently brushed his fingers over the metalic feathers. Talon figured as much, but he couldn't do much about it for now. He clicked his tongue under his breath. This...complicated things. Not by much, but he did cast a side glance in the direction to pick up the details. "Shh... " he muttered a bit louder. Well, this was 'neutral' ground...right?

"Forgive me." Blitz spoke to the laughter as he was kindly corrected. Shaking his head to himself, he bared a tame grin, so he had misunderstood. But was still amused none the less. He was a working man, like him....fair enough.

"Sounds....adventurous." H
e then added as the air was cleared up. That will do then. Blitz actually could be considered...'lucky' that was until he was enlisted. He had, had a good life and was well off from his parents...still was, but now had so called...'responsibilities'. His luck only turned with the loss of his father, friend, and eye...

"And I always know what I am doing." Mischief couldn't help but smirk, as his hand raised to point to the man across the table. Though, he did know what he was doing-didn't really have the reason to think it better to do otherwise while drunk. Though he could be sober, and still did things some would consider 'dunken acts'. Only for the sake of not handing out....'cares'. Though with a glance down he did realize there was nothing to bid with.

Perhaps not. The thought caused him to 'hmpth' to himself.

Hearing Atelius, Blitz's gaze shifted from Kreig and to the bird, at Talon's hush. Shrugging it off, he looked back to his dapper dino.

"You do." Masters spoke. "And I will get you one." He added still looking to his Dino noticing the strange reaction he had.

Letting out a sigh, Blitz's single eye dropped to his cards once more as his finger tips moved to the edge of the farthest card. Rubbing the corner with his fingertips, his teal eye looked back up to the woman at the bar and the Black mamba that approached.

He would lie, if he had said he wasn't a bit distracted by the scene. Taking in a breath he flicked the card with his finger tip as he looked down at the face card, before tiling his head up to look at Talon. He couldn't help but wondered if he should mention the lack of chips....

The feel of the air in the bar was particularly heavy. There were a lot of eyes. A lot of searching eyes. Sakashi's eyes remained on the pair in the corner, refocusing slightly as Risk got up to approach her. The whispering and chatter that went on just beyond her ear shot made her gaze narrow.

Edge could hear it all, and the name 'Riot' was not quickly missed. His metallic jaws opened a couple of inches, a hiss passing through as the image and conversation was transferred to the soldier beside him. Such a circumstance was entirely why they'd stayed a few minutes longer than necessary, so the distraction was worth its cost. The pilot herself, while intrigued about what the merchant may say in response to the curious stranger, would wait until Risk was significantly closer before returning her attention to her water, tilting it back for another sip, and swallowing slowly.

"Can I help you?"

Edge, though processing the conversation in the far corner, turned part of his immediate focus to the ancient bird that kept another pilot's company.

What are you doing here. Ancient Zoidian tongue, nasty and savage as per the beast it came from, slipped across the communication link opened for Atelius.

Risk's expression softened as she drew close, only to stop about five feet from where she sat at the bar.

"Me sir has some information foh you child..." She spoke with an obvious trace of excitement in her voice. "Kyreah, it would beh wurth your while to come join us."

She gestured her left hand to the table where Regent and the cloaked figure were exchanging a heated conversation. Though her hand moved her slightly glazed and golden eyes remained upon Kai. A smile had formed upon her dark lips.

The cloaked man grit his teeth as he withdrew a crumpled piece of paper than slammed it on the table before sliding it more so Regent could look at it.

"Everything comes at a price, and this one would be very dire if I do not find him." He spat. He than leaned closer, hunching over the table as he moved. "Tell me where Riot is so I can find him before they do..."

(on meh, phone. So forgive me of any typos. )

Regent's hand moved back to his long goatee, where he continued to stroke it once more. The unraveled braids had made it rather untame, and he found if fitting to do so, before his other hand join in to only do it up in one long braid. This costomer seemed rather trouble, and perhaps for a old friend he could at least humor the stickassed one.

Letting out a sigh, Regent's yellow gaze dropped to the table and slammed filst. Oh, do be careful-no need to spil a good drink, one hasn't had one in a while." The barter spoke parting his lips to a Cheshire grin as he looke bal to the angry male.

"you do understand?" he smiled to his old friend, he hadnt had the luxtuary of a fermented drink in a while. So, he vary much wanted to keep the one he did have unspilt.

Let alone, sloshed. The nierve.

As the stranger leaned closer, gold eyes cast themselves back upon the crumpled paper. Carefully his ring hand flexed out as it traveled to the wrinkled paper. Holding the paper as if it has some kind of goo on it, he raise it to look at it before placing it back on the table where he straightened it out with the palm of his hand.

It had a picture of a vary known man, decorated on its pages it read deadly so in larger black letters:
"WANTED: Dead or Alive. Riot King of Bandits"

The word 'king of bandits' was vary boldly striked out. And under the main font was another bold claim.

"for areson, murder, robbery, assult, torture, thievery, truspassing, protastition, crimes agaist the republic and Empite. Known traitor, gencided, distinction of private and state property, forgery, identity thieift, indecent exposure. '

A amused smile couldnt help but be placed on the males lips at the hefty list of crimes. Though as eyes traveled to the bitten of the page one more set of lines boldly printed in red ink, read:

''known ails: The Judge'

Regents smile thinned out, as his hand moved to the paper, as he folded it in half, then again once more forming a squire. His finger tips then took the corners and made a triangle, where he flipped it over and then folded the back. In second he held the peice of work to the cloaked figure in the palm of his hand.

"look it's a frog." the merchant smiled and with the press of his other finger on the bottom of the origami made frog. Causing it to 'jump' at the male, across from him.

Now that was something Sakashi didn't expect- the softening expression. Curiosity became more obvious as the foreign voice not only pronounced her first name, but also offered information. The prospect was all the more enticing with how the muscle of the merchant pair changed from daunting intimidation to welcoming smiles.

Neutral cold gaze shifted more fully to Risk, and she turned herself in the bar seat to face her after setting her glass down. She felt better, but it had been a long day and she wasn't in the mood for dealing with violent interactions.

"Information? Regarding what?"

Edge stood as Kai did, his bladed face haunting over one of her shoulders just a few feet back. She would follow her to the table; there was no obvious risk in doing so. Pun intended?

"I really don't understand. We were just there not a couple of hours ago. We've already walked at least 6 miles." Rhett was half jogging to keep up with the ancient mechanical caracal beast that had adopted a swift pace in retracing their steps.

New arrivals.

"But you should have sensed them coming. AGES ago." The man shouted through gritted teeth. "You've been awake for years now. There's no excuse for-"

Quiet human. You are slowing me down.

"...." Rhett stopped, sand flying up from his boots at his short-cut pause. "I'll slow you down alright. If I walk away right now, you know exactly what's going to happen."

The savage red eyes turned to look back at him, Arrow's steps gliding into a semi-circle to confront his ball-and-chain. You cannot deny your fate. After all these years, my sensors pick up on something this strong, and you hesitate. Our hunt may have finally found its quarry, and you refuse to draw back the string. The longer you force this hunt to be, the more generations of yours will be tied to it.

The man lifted his hand to his face, rubbing his fingers along the tattoo-like clawmarks that burned his cheek. Wordlessly, he approached the organoid, and slung his leg across his back like one would to ride a horse. Leaning forwards, motorcycle-style, he gripped the non-bladed base of two shoulder blades. And the ancient tracker sped off, flying on four fleet metal paws.

"Regarding what you se-" Risk begun with a grin. However, the grin faded and was replaced with a stone cold expression aimed toward the back door of the bar. The rest of the words were lost with her soft expression. Her right hand gripped into a tight fist as the left begun to reach up to her forehead.

Eyes had to be on him... but, something wasn't right. The air seemed thicker than it should have, the world was spinning and her chest seemed home to a growing fire. Muscles tensed along her frame as the fire intensified. Eyes on him.

Though with each moment that strange feeling lingered and grew the more her eyes begun to shift away. Protection, she needed to protect them. Whatever dare threaten what was hers would pay very dearly for the mere thought. Her right fist trembled as if eager to instate this bloodshed. Focus was rapidly being broken.

The man caught the frog being flicked at him with a single swipe of his hand. Soon after the folded paper was placed back in his pocket.

"Haven't changed a bit...." he growled and leaned closer. " I need to warn him of this before the others catch him. It spans far more than a few absent minded rogues. Each of the leaders have even cast lots for who would bring the infamous judge to its death."

He couldn't stress the situation more. "The chance at killing the judge as gotten the lot into a frenzy... all but Hog's group has gone mad with this hunt..."

This conversation overheard only kindled the fire within the bodyguard. Her frame begun to tremble with rage as her breath grew very deep.

Taking in a slow breath, Regent closed his eyes as his hand moved to the back of his neck. He shrugged.

"Ah, you got to do what you can to..." Regent's found smile that had lost it's self, only dropped once more as the Cloaked figure spoke more of the happenings. So only Hog.

How thin the lines of loyalties where among thieves.

Though in a instant, Regent's eyes shot wide open as even the specticals on his face seemed to crack. Though perhaps it was just the reflection of the light. His hand then quickly fell to the table as if he was suddenly smacked upside the head by some unknown force, and he had to catch himself from a fall.

That was...something....

Swallowing, his face relaxed as another breath slowly left him.

Risk...

Pulling his head up he looked over at Risk, Kai and even Edge.

They had to go...

Releasing a breath, Regent slowly straighten to his fully height. Turning to the man once more. his hand raised and he let it rest on his shoulder.

He smiled.

"Admittedly, I couldn't tell you where he is at." Regent spoke with a little squeeze that was coupled with a nod.

Taking a step, Regent moved to approached Risk and Kai. But not before turning his head he spoke once more to the man over his shoulder.

"Sorry, I can't tell you more." He added with a arrogant upward tilt of his head.

"My dear," Regent mused as he approached the bristled Risk. His hand raised to touch the tip of her chin lightly as he met her in his walk.

"It seems you have left another costumer at a cliff-hanger.
" The man spoke as he released a weary breath, his thumb rubbed the tip of her chin kindly as his bright eyes looked to her own. Now wasn't the time...

Though, soon....It wasn't now.

Tilting his head, Regent looked to the woman and Organoid. "It would be in -our- best interest if we took this talk elsewhere..." Regent spoke with a tired smile.

"If you know what I mean."
The man gave a little wink to the Soldier that stood nearby. He trusted that she did....

"Cant live without adventures, " he chuckled, gently petting the poor frantic bird and trying to ignore that prickle along the back of his neck telling him he needed to GTFO now before stuff went down and he was caught in another 'adventure'. Talon didn't need to look up to feel the odd tension that had settled along the mechanical companions. Even little Moe in his lap was jittery and fidgity.

It was then that Talon realized something, "We're missing chips..." He sad it almost mournfully. This was a travesty! And a good distraction from the sudden almost brawl off in the corner. Brawl wasn't the right word... Clash of the almost titans would be better. Massacre if the really old organoid got involved..and absolute destruction if it ticked the bull off.

Either way, Talon used a free hand to rustle through his pockets to see what he could find, which turned out to be an odd assortment of coins and plastic bottle caps. Oh, he found Cuddle's stash. When did he forget about this? "Eh, we can do without. Worse comes to worse, I could pilfer some peanuts. "

Tacker let out a tsk at everyone for their reactions. Mainly, he clicked at Atelius. It was along string of clicks and hisses that sounded more like a rant about these human squishies and sticks. Especially sticks. Sticks were evil. The little spider lost that train of thought and started clacking and spluttering about the marvels of paper and how it should have been replaced with those hollographics long ago, but humans were stupid and war hungry. Basically, it was a really long rant of nothing really important and a lot of 'Back in my day! '. Talon could really understand half of it. But he did pick up something about 'uphill, both ways, in the snow, barefoot'. It drew a puzzled expression, then he cleared his throat.

Why did he get the weird ones? "Seems like the nice quiet spot is a little louder again." he said as he watched the grumping spider began to drag his wineglass to the bid pile. Talon kindly replaced it with a few bottle caps from the 'stash' quickly. His wine!

Without fail the republic pilot maintained a blank, serious expression and she followed without a second thought. She remained only a pace or two behind Risk until they arrived at the corner table, where she took a half step or two to the side so that she could see them both directly.

It was Edge whose reaction would show first, though at least organoid 'expressions' don't exactly change so the on-goings were subtle. The black dragon's head raised, and he forgot about the one that was describing the frenzy of the Judge hunt. While he still ghosted at Sakashi's back, his posture shifted so that he appeared to be guarding not just Kai, but Risk as well. Eerie glowing blue eyes pulsed in renewed intensity as they stared at the Amazonian-like woman. How strange.

Kai's own expression faltered, and she looked between Regent and Risk with a fleeting shock of surprise, but she recovered with trained efficiency. She reached a hand up to her mouth and coughed quietly into a gloved fist as she cleared her throat and glanced very briefly to the side to see whose eyes her own presence still captured. As noted, that glance was very brief, and her attention returned immediately to the pair as if she felt like they would vanish into thin air if she didn't.

"....Yes." She nodded, pulling her fist back to her side. Her answer was short, but only because she was clipping dire questions off at the bud. "Shall we?" Her head dipped again, though in reference to the exit.

Edge took a couple of steps away from his pilot, his rather massive metallic frame creating a physical barrier between them.. and the rest of the bar. He was on edge even moreso now. That subdued 'tired' sense he gave off before apparently gone... at least to the exterior.

As the bar came into view over the rocky horizon, Rhett ducked his head until his chin came to rest on the warm-almost-hot metal surface of Arrow's back plates. The metal beast's gait was much smoother than a horses, though getting used to riding the way a cat runs is a little more difficult, perhaps- the undulations requiring a little more effort to keep from slipping off. Fortunately, blades upon Arrow's hindlegs and shoulders served as foot rests and handles. His boosters rose to either side rather than directly on top as well, keeping the human rider from being completely toasted on the way.

It would only take a few more minutes for them to close the distance. Arrow was not kidding about making the time. He'd been off countless times before. This was the first time his sensors were so absolute in their readings. The first time since the very first hunt.

The world around Risk faded as her eyes were set to focus on the target and her task. His soft touch eased the tense and bristled state and brought her back from a near raged state. The burden of the mind seemed to be lifted as her focus begun to return.

However, even so, her mind couldn't help but tug back to something being out of place. Something was off... Golden eyes clung to Regent's own bright eyes.

"Y-yes meh sir..." She breathed. "apologies, somedi'n has got undah meh skin... "

Her eyes briefly shifted back to Kai than Edge before giving them a slow nod.

The cloaked man leaned away from the table as the barter excused himself. Brows furrowed. It would seem something more was amiss... something-
Golden eyes shifted to Kyrea and Edge. A short breath based his lips as he looked upon the republic soldier in particular. Something indeed was very familiar about this one.

Before more thought could be put into that situation another chill caused the hair on the back of his neck to chill.

"Saga... be ready, but lay low." He whispered before moving around the table to join Regent, Risk, Kai and Edge.

Kreig only had time to take in what amazing hand he had before something else drew his attention. His entire hand dropped to the table as he looked away from the table and to the back door, than to the merchant group in the corner.

The feather's on his head stood on end as he scanned the room once more.

"I... I think it would be in our best interest to leave." Krieg hummed lowly as his head continued to swivel.

Atelius bobbled his head in agreement to the suggestion. Green eyes darted from Edge to Talon. -I was charged with protection of this one by the dread mother's organoid...- he answered in the same ancient language.

"louder, and tense. Master, it would be wise to play this game later?" He almost pleaded.
PostPosted: Wed Sep 05, 2012 10:27 am

He had been idly paying attention to the world around him when he saw cards fall onto the table. He stared at Kreig in mild shock. Something wasn't right if such a fine and poised specimen decided to just stop playing all of a sudden. Tacker seemed to be hissing and rattling, abandoning his own cards to go and hide in one of Talon's pockets. Obviously, the mechanical beings wanted to go. Moe even hooted that it wanted to go away. Far away.

It was unsettling that suddenly the consensus was to get the hell out of dodge. He liked this change, not that he would admit it. "Okay, okay. " he muttered, petting the silver bird's head affectionately just one more time before he dug into his pockets for a piece of scrap paper ( a receipt actually. It was months old so it really wasn't worth anything.) and a pen. He wrote down a frequency code and slid it towards Masters, tapping it with a forefinger. "If you ever want to get a hold of me, friend, you can find me with that. I think I need to take my menagerie out of here before..." Talon couldn't find the right word for it, so instead he shrugged and glanced at the front door.

Moe, by now, fell off Talon's lap with a loud thunk, wiggled on his back, and righted itself with a dignified snort. It gave the other pilot's shins an affectionate headbutt before trotting its way to the front door where it would wait to leave. In the meantime, Talon reached down to pick up the flying spikeball, or at least offer his arm as a perch. "I hope we can play a game next time, and actually have something to play for. " Clicking his tongue in reassurance to the pretty bird, Talon's eyes fell onto the cloaked man. He hadn't a good look until now. A respectful nod was gifted to the man before he exited with Moe chirping in toe.

Outside he gave a shrill whistle as he walked away from the bar, awaking the green Sub-geno Seeker who replied in kind with a quiet growl of his own. It really was time to get going.

Blitz had pulled his sight from the merchant, bodyguard, Kai and Edge as Talon had a sudden change of disposition to the 'air' of the room. Things did seem to be heating up, also his shifted gaze moved to Krieg and his worry.

Masters let out a slightly annoyed breath, even Kai and company looked to be wanting to leave.

But wait, this looks interesting.

In thinking such, A calloused hand moved to his wine glass as he let the cards sit on the table. His other hand moved for the bottle of wine. He poured a glass, a drink and a show.

"When I see you," Mischief raised his glass," and safe travel's friend." He added as Talon took off with company.

"May lady luck ever again cast her gaze upon you.
" Blitz chuckled to himself, and then turned his head to look at Krieg. His finger tip moved to his lips as it still held his glass.

"No, I rather find myself wanting to watch this..." He spoke with a arrogant grin.

"Crudely spoken, 's**t' is about to go down.
" Mischief then grinned as he looked at the Dragon and company then back to raptor.

"And I want to indulge my curiosity."

He took a sip of his Chardonnay....

---

Regent only pulled his eyes from Risk to look back at Kai. Sweat noticeably perpetrated his brow, and his breath seemed slightly taken. Though a smile rested on his lips, and it looked more relived and joyful then happy.

Seeing the cloaked man walk up to him, Regent turned his head to look to the other. So he wanted to come as well?

"Well, if it isn't peterpan's shadow."
Regent grinned to the 'stranger' as he joined them before looking once more to Kai.

Regardless he was thankful for the bi-poler shadow.

"Vary good then." The barter released a breath, giving a nod to the woman and Organoid his gold sight moved back to Risk and her apology.

His hand shifted up from her chin up to be along the left side of her cheek.

He was vary thankful for her to pick up his 'burden' once more.

"No need for 'apologies', Love. Those come later, when something actually happens."
Regent let out with a smile as he watched one more leave the bar.

They best be going as well...
