"Err yeah, have a couple've others." That would've been a good place to pry himself from the spot and go show her some, but Mort was still trying to get over the fact that there was no bra under there. None. Why wasn't she wearing a bra or some other sort of bra-ish thing he was seriously right there oh sweet Sally -
He couldn't take it. While Bells went about getting her hair however she wanted, Mort strode to the window seat and pulled the top up, revealing it to also be a deck where the blankets were located. Finding the thickest one in there (a fuzzy midnight blue one), he grabbed it, closed the seat down, and shuffled on back, not so much offering it so much as it was forcing her to take it. "Will be fine," he stated, silently pleading that she take the hint with the blanket and not make him address the twins aloud. "Honest. Will m-make pile of blankets n' towels or something. Don't even need that much."
And before she could protest he was off to the window seat again, pulling out several more blankets that he then went about making into a makeshift bed. It somewhat reminded Mort of the survival class at War, though blankets had definitely not been a luxury they worked with. "Th-There. See? Looks pretty comfy already." He poked a toe on the top layer and rolled it all around to make a point, though the built up static electricity from sock-on-blanket action made his hair stick out a bit. "S-So no more worrying, yes?"
He might have sounded a bit too frantic during this, as if her chest was going to attack him or something.

Something wasn't right. Belladonna watched Mort as he skittered from place to place, seemingly frantic and certainly a little put out. His stutter wasn't all that much, nothing more than usual but there was just something else. There was just something a little bit erratic in his behavior, his movements. A blanket was hastily shoved into her hands and while Belladonna took it gratefully, there was still something in the way he did it that bothered her. Yet he had already moved on, content to make himself a make-shift pallet on the floor. Curious to see more, the witch tossed the blanket over her shoulders and held the two sides together in front of her chest. "If you're sure..." She finally replied in a lilting, if disbelieving, voice. A shock of static stood the boil's hair on end and Belladonna smiled at that, careful to set the blanket down softly before she quickly crossed the room to him. She reached up on tip-toe and smoothed the hair down as best she could. It wasn't all that great as she couldn't really see the very top, but it'd have to do. "Darling, I can't help but notice... You're a bit nervous. Is it just me staying over? It'll be fine... If you gnaw on my arm during the night I'll smack you. No big deal!" A little bounce as she made a faux-smacking gesture. Unless it was.... Something else? What else could possibly cause his suddenly nervous antics? A sudden attention to detail sprang to the witch as she considered what could make Mort so hesitant over all this. Maybe he was just still worried about the bite from earlier? (But everything had been going so well on that front!) Maybe he was just nervous because he'd never had a girl sleep in his room? Well, Belladonna had certainly never slept in a boy's room, but she was perfectly fine about all this. Maybe it was how little clothing she was wearing? Still, she had on a t-shirt and her bloomers, there wasn't much else to see. In fact, she was technically wearing more since her whole chest was covered and not just the important bits. Usually she sported quite a lot more cleavage and-- The corner of Belladonna's mouth twitched, about to dart up into a devil's smile in a few moments. Unless it was something else entirely.......

That smile. That smile.
Jack, Bells, please don't make him say it. She had to know, right?
"I-Is big deal to me," Mort protested before she moved closer and tried to pat down his hair. Zzt! went the little static shock he'd accumulated, though he flinched as if it had been more powerful than that. "M'fine, Bells, f-for last time." He faked a yawn as he sidled past her towards the light switch, hoping the approach of nearly pitch darkness would persuade her to get to bed. "M'serious about chill. G-Get with Lanna, she's waiting."
Lanna was actually already asleep by the pillow.
"N', er, i-if need anything else, just poke. Might take a bit, c-can be heavy sleeper," he added, reaching the light switch and turning to her, waiting for the witch to get to bed.

"Fiiiinnneeeeeeeee." Belladonna issued with a heavy sigh. She hopped up on tip-toe to press on last kiss to him before she turned tail and almost dived into the bed. Mostly she just hopped on top and snuggled up close to Lanna. It took her a few moments of wiggling about to get under all the blankets, but they were so warm and comfy that it ended up being worth it in the end. With a small sigh, the witch laid back onto the pillow, the blankets pulled up to her chin and her whole body tucked happily into the bed. All that was missing was Mort. But Belladonna only turned her face toward him and gave him a small smile. "I'll be fine, thank you. Hopefully I won't have to get up during the night. If I tripped on you that'd be horrid!" Once the light had been switched off, Belladonna turned onto her side so that she could attempt to spy Mort in the darkness. It didn't work. The room was pitch black, much blacker than her own room and she couldn't see a thing except the small, glow-in-the-dark stars still glued to the ceiling. But they were so small that they didn't give off enough light to even pretend to see by. "Goodnight." Belladonna whispered, unsure if Mort was quick to fall asleep or one who took a bit more time. It was still a goodbye, still something she hated, but for whatever reason... It wasn't so bad tonight. It wasn't the sorrowful thing she made it out to be. He was only an arm's length away. She could have dropped her hand off the side of the bed and probably brushed his hair. It was tempting, but he had been so nervous before that Belladonna only curled her hands under her chin. Well, actually she rolled over, grabbed Lanna and curled her into her chest. If she was going to get one last night with the pup, she was going to make it count! As the witch drifted off to sleep, she wondered if Binx would be angry that she hadn't come home that night...

Glad that she was acquiescing, Mort rewarded her by not avoiding (and rather, returning) the goodnight kiss, letting the witch dive under the covers before flipping the light off. Even if he wasn't used to traversing darkness to an extent, he knew his own room well enough that he didn't have to really feel around to get back to the pallet without stumbling. Trying his best not to slide his feet on the top layer (which he'd established earlier was conductive, fffff), Mort slid himself under an extra layer just in case - not that he really moved around when asleep, but one could never be too careful.
"G'night," he answered in a whisper as well before sliding his glasses off to place them on the alarm clock stand with a soft clatter. Everything went completely blurry, but it didn't matter much in the dark anyway. Mort situated himself on his back, hands behind his head, and stared at the dots on the ceiling that were the stars before eventually falling to his haze-dreams.
~ ~ ~
Whether Bells was a morning person or not, around the time the clock read 8:02AM, Lanna stirred. That in and of itself wasn't enough to disturb most from sleep, but when the foxfire remembered who was cuddling her she decided the best way to wake her up would be with kisses. A lot of kisses. So she wriggled a bit until she was able to move out of Belladonna's clutch, turned towards her, and began to lick her face vigorously to get her to wake up faster. Because there was no such thing as a bored Lanna.
Mort in the meanwhile hadn't moved from his set position and, for all intents and purposes, looked dead: no breathing, no movement behind the lids of his eyes, not so much as a twitch. Even the usual hum of his brain was gone, shut down by sleep.

It would have been unfair to call Belladonna a morning person, as she didn't rise particularly early, but she also neither rose particularly late. She just rose whenever her sleep was done. It would also be unfair to call her a good riser, because well... She tended to grumble a lot about being awoken. But once awoke, she was totally alright. Unfortunately, this morning was not really one of those mornings. "Laaannaaaaa... Stop iiiiittttttt." The witch mumbled from her cavern of blankets she had piled on top of herself. The room had grown increasingly cold over the night and while the witch was still a warm blooded creature, she needed the warmth of the blankets to combat the cold. But she also didn't need Lanna licking her face as way of a wake up. "Hecate, do you wake Mort up like this?" Belladonna whined as she sat up, having to push a little harder to get all the blankets off her. Not many details immediately registered with the witch, so for whatever reason she instead only focused on the fact that her braid had partially come undone and one whole side of her hair had frizzed out horrifically. While it was unfortunate that the shirt had rode up a little and now sat bunched around her bust, leaving her stomach fairly exposed, Belladonna didn't bother with that. She bothered with pushing Lanna down. And down meant onto the bed, where the witch spotted a figure on the floor. It all came rushing back. A tiny squeak escaped the witch before she could stop it, but Mort was too heavy in sleep to have heard it. Hopefully. "M-mort? Are you... Are you awake?" Belladonna asked, tentatively and a little louder than normal. Hands quickly attempted to smooth down her hair as she would rather look nice than covered up, so she forgot about her exposed stomach. He looked so... So still! Was that normal?

Lanna only gave her innocent eyes and an enthusiastic wiggle of her tail as the witch roused herself. Play? OuO Hellohellohelloplayplaypl- Oof! And down went the helpless foxfire into a tumble of fur and wings by Mort's leg, giving a tiny yelp. She was not used to being denied so . . .roughly.
Well no, that was a lie. Her owner sometimes did that if he was really not in the mood. But Lanna would never have expected such uncouth behavior from her favoritist witch! Rolling onto her stubby legs, she pouted up at Belladonna with the full force of her disappointment.
Mort, however, remained still as the grave. At least he looked at peace?

"EEK!" Belatedly, Belladonna reached for Lanna as she fell, suddenly horrified at how hard she had pushed the pup away. She hadn't meant to! Really! With a long steam of apologies, Belladonna slid from the bed down onto the floor and next to Mort. Her hands reached out for the foxfire in a hug, hoping to cuddle her back to her favor. "I am so, so, soooooo sorry." Belladonna cooed, her eyes wide as she begged for forgiveness. Never before had she seen the pup pout, so it was certainly a... strange (and vaguely upsetting) sight to behold. As for the peaceful, yet rather dead looking boilfriend, Belladonna only frowned at him momentarily. "He did say he was a heavy sleeper." She mused out loud, totally unafraid to speak her mind now that he was, apparently, not conscious to hear it. An evil thought crossed her mind, but Belladonna only batted it away. No, that would be horrible. It wouldn't be the proper way to wake him, and it certainly would put a damper on their day. But.... It would be pretty funny. Sure to surpress the evil cackle that wanted to bubble out, Belladonna pulled down her shirt and moved her entire being so that she could press a kiss to his forehead, but have the rest of her body pointed away from him. Of course, this meant that she had to sit on her knees and lean forward, which of course meant everything leaned forward. Certainly she wouldn't press anything to him but her kiss, but still. She was... forward. "Wakey wakey, Mort! Its time for, er... Brain eggs and bakey?" Um, did they make brain bacon? Or brain eggs? Those things sounded... Gross. Ol-j-man I'm no longer responsible for Belladonna's actions. She can't be stopped. D:

Hugs were a start. Lanna continued to look most disapproving and distant as Belladonna swaddled her with affection until, at last, she turned her head and licked her arm. Once. It was going to take a while to get her to warm up again. :<<< You can't slap a princess away without consequences!
The forward approach yielded better results at any rate - or maybe it was the mention of brain byproducts. Seconds after the kiss the zomboil's face wrinkled, and he turned his head to the side a bit as if to avoid more, but slowly the usual thrum of his brain booting up was heard. Who was bothering him in his own room? Mort was too sleepy to be alarmed that there was an intruder, and with a grumble and several joint-pops he turned his back to the witch and tried to go back to sleep; his shoulder bumped against one of "the girls" as he did so, though with his eyes still closed the significance of the motion wasn't registered.
Clearly if he ignored the intruder, it'd go away.

Sorry Lanna, but more hugs would come later. Perhaps after the witch had managed to wake Mort. Which like it would take a bit more time. Belladonna heaved a heavy sigh and was about to give up when he rolled over. A tiny squeak escaped her as he brushed against a portion of her and with a quick slap to the offending area, Belladonna scooted back. Errrr, wait. Hadn't she just been trying to seduce him? (Sorta?) Yes, but a shoulder to the boob wasn't what she had in mind. "Moooooooort. Wake up!" Different tactic time! Belladonna rose to her feet and padded around to the other side so that she faced his back. That shoulder must have really done a number on her because she didn't bother to get back on his level. Instead, she poked his back with a socked toe. "C'mon, lazy bones. I wanna go get some breakfast."That didn't seemed to be working. Alright, back to Plan A. Or plan... DD? E? Eh, she'd stop counting after a while. Back to Plan 9 or 10. Yes. That one. With a dramatic flop, the witch dropped to her knees and poked at Mort's back. "Please wake up? Don't make me cuddle you. I will." So she did. With another flop, Belladonna draped herself over the boy, lightly so as not to totally freak him out, but definitely to be a bit of a bother. Definitely in the way a very exuberant cat might flop onto their owner for a bit of attention. All the while, Belladonna simply couldn't stop the giggles from pouring out. This was all just too much fun! It was nice to wake up with Mort, even if he wasn't in the same bed. She could still get her morning cuddles in, right? In case he hadn't woken by then, Belladonna finally flopped down behind him and placed her shoulder into the space under his shoulders blades, her head leaned against the top of his shoulder. "Can we cuddle now?"

A very soft sound was elicited from the toe poke. "Mrrrr . . ."
Go awaaaaaaay.
Only it wasn't going away. There was another prod at his back and more noise, though it wasn't from an intruder; it was a familiar voice. Which was even more annoying because friends were supposed to let friends sleep where they lie or whatever. The last straw was when he felt something go over his shoulder and, with a small bothered sigh he forced one eye open to confront this sleep-interruptor with a sleepy glare.
Of course, when he realized said sleep-interrupter was his ghoulfriend, Mort was less inclined to pry her off. It was a bit hard to think about violence when she wa cleaning over him like that, especially given the state of her clothes. "Uhh . . ." He flicked his gazed to the alarm clock and squinted, barely able to read its face. "Can it wait . . . three hours? Or four?" he asked in the grainy voice of one who was still tired. Who the hell woke up this early anyway?
Mort was being remarkably calm, but he was also still half-asleep. Fully cognizant, he would have panicked again at the pressure on his shoulder blades.
"Can cuddle if you want, but m'going back to sleep," he stated, closing his eye.

Belladonna woke up this early, that's who. She certainly wasn't a morning person, but she was definitely an early riser. It was a wonder she got so much done, and now maybe Mort would realize why. In any event, she was only slightly put off by his... Less than enthusiastic wake-up. Since Lanna had woken up the witch, the witch fairly assumed that the pup did this every morning, but to Mort. Seeing as that wasn't the case, Belladonna only flopped her head onto his pillow with a sigh. "Go back to sleep then." Yet regardless of his answer, Belladonna hopped up, heaved a blanket from the bed and tossed it down over Mort. Another hop brought her back to his back, where she crawled under the blankets and cuddled up to him. Just because they hadn't slept together didn't mean they couldn't cuddle. So they did. Well, at least Belladonna did. It took a bit of time before she finally dozed back off, her face pressed to the small spot between his shoulder blades. Despite the chill of the room, the coolness of him lulled the girl to sleep, while she pulled the blanket tighter around herself. Lanna would most undoubtedly dislike this, but Belladonna ignored her in favor of curling a hand into Mort's shirt. No offense Lanna, but these cuddles were a bit better. Of course, Belladonna had now entered the light sleeping phase and any sort of movement (save for Lanna) would probably rouse her and her vast quantities of ever frizzing hair. Granted, now that she had fallen back asleep she would wake more groggy. But even as she dozed, she made plans to go get some breakfast and let Mort sleep more. Surely she couldn't sleep for more than another hour. The witch just didn't work like that.

Belladonna wouldn't have to wait an hour. Having been half roused, Mort's body resumed the memory of a routine when it had been alive: most notably breathing and shifting about. Only when he tried to move, something held him back. What in Halloween now... Lazily the zomboil reached a hand back to dislodge his shirt, forgetting what had been said earlier about cuddling.
Imagine his surprise, then, when his fingers brushed against the skin of her arm. Mort froze, all of his thoughts coming together at once. Cuddling. Right behind him. Bells.
So that meant sdjwidfhdweirtgjfdhwqef
"U-Uh...Bells?" Mort mumbled hesitantly, the last dregs of sleep fleeing him. "You awake? I-I am. " Slowly, carefully, he pulled his arm back from her, inches away from having groped the witch, not daring to move lest he start something. "B-Bells...?" WHen had she come down there? Had she fallen off? A nightmare?

A soft mumbled whine was her first reply. It had only been a few minutes so the witch wasn't totally asleep yet, but she had dozed quite nicely and was now rather reluctant to move. Maybe she'd wake up a bit, but Mort was so comfy. "I thought you were going to sleep more..." Belladonna mouthed into his shirt, her eyes still closed. To say she was totally oblivious to his sudden freeze in movement would be a bit of a lie, because she did notice but it didn't bother her. It would not be a lie to say she did not realize the reason for his freeze either. Still unaware, the witch only scooted closer. Well, as close as she could get really. "Lanna woke me up... She licked my face. Does she do that to you, too?" Her voice was a bit thick, but getting clearer with each new word and sentence. Maybe they could just lay here like for a little longer? Cuddled up together. It was still early, so they could rest for a bit before they went and got breakfast. They had plenty of time... The witch blinked at the second use of her name and fully opened her eyes. "Did you sleep ok?"A slice of panic hit her and she fully remembered his trepidation from the night before. Before, sleep had clouded her decision making skills, so it was alright to cuddle. Now, as sleep faded from her mind fueled by a bit of fear, Belladonna almost pulled away. But... He's so comfy...

SLeep more? He grew confused. "Er...y-y-yeah. About the sleep thing, meaning. Like a log." Or a corpse. "But Lanna doesn't lick face, n-no. Has gotten shocked before."
Though sleep was no long a considered option, Mort still fought through the fog of an earlier wake up time than usual. The room was still quite dark to boot, and coupled with his horrid eyesight...He'd be best not to try moving too much. Still, he wanted to gett off his side and gingerly tried turning until he was on his back, hoping she'd have the sense to let go of him while doing so because there was no way he was reaching back there blindly. "You?"he asked, rubbing his face to ward off the rigor mortis with stiff fingers.
It helped that someone warm was pressed against him. Uncomfortable situation or not, he couldn't deny that.
"And, er...when d-did you get down here?" he added curiously, the events of twenty minutes ago nothing but a blur. Lanna, seeing them stir, wiggled her bum and sat patiently by their feet.
