The pidgey pulled away again and Cara muttered some..not nice things. She was getting very frustrated. "SURRENDER BIRD!!" She shouted, in a slightly crazy and mostly joking manner.

Pidgey seemed to be getting weaker which allowed Pidgeot to gain ground and advance upon the bird.
((same here and.... gonk 2 away again! ..it's official, the dice deities hate us...))

Catherine didn't have any Zubat calls in her repertoire, but she did have a few Pidgey calls. As she flew after the Zubat, she started making Pidgey mating calls. If she could catch either flyer, she could stop chasing them!

As she waited on the ground, Shina wondered how the pidgey and zubat could still be flying. Her brow creased. Why was she hearing a young boy declaring "My rattata is in the top percentage of Rattata!" in the back of her mind? It had nothing to do with the current situation.

The weariness was a rouse. The pidgey took off again and sped away from the duo. "AAUUGH!!" Cara shouted, venting her frustration a bit. They were soon after it again.

The pidgey apparently had caught its....5th or 6th wind and was keeping far ahead of them. Pidgeot had an idea and decided to call to it like a mother Pidgeot would her babies.

The pidgey wasnt falling for it and kept away from the Pidgeot, somehow knowing it wasnt it's Mama.

Pidgeot decided to play the same game as the Chatot and decided to start chirping (or whatever) a similar phrase. "Safe haven, resting place, please come".

The pidgey was slowing a bit, allowing Pidgeot to get closer, still speaking of nice things. Cara stayed quiet and layed low, trying to hide herself.

All seemed to be going well with this plan so far, they were getting closer.
