"The way I see it, you are like a puppy. The shyer you become, the cuter you are to your audience. Ah, but you are a mouse, and just like a mouse, I can tell there is large bravery inside you." He smiled and loosened his grip on the boy's wrists by a fraction. "So then, my Little Mouse, are you a shy puppy, or are you a courageous mouse?""As for me... Basil Advimi Basil paused to give it some thought. He never really had to think about who he was. He was the poor church mouse, then he was the homeless kid that lived in a box, then he was Entri and Andy's charity case, as he'd heard a few girls say. But who was he as a person...
The mouse sat up a bit straighter, a sparkle in his dark, pretty eyes. "I'm a courageous mouse," he announced, his eyes turning to look into Dealer's. "I..I fight for my sanity, and to remember my family. And I don't let anyone be the boss of me, even when they want to be and ask nicely! Oh, but I end up letting it happen after they say please, but before that, I say no!"

"A courageous mouse, you are so small yet ready to take on the obstacles this large world hurls at you. Already I see life has given you so much in its deadly currents-" He nudged his head lazily towards the boy's bony wrists. "-but you swim through it gallantly. I'm proud of you, even if it's been a moment of meeting between us." Pausing, Dealer looked towards the sky to see the sun slowly falling, leaving horizontal bars of purple in its wake.
"And with each meeting, a parting will follow, just as the moon follows the sun." With a grunt, the card dealer got to his feet. He dusted himself off then looked over at Basil and smiled at him. "It was fun meeting you, my Little Mouse. It was only a few hours, but I saw you grow considerably." He picked his cards out of his vest and shuffled them around, taking his time in getting the Wild Card out. "I hope we meet again in this vast sea called life.""As for me... I am the dealer of this deck of cards called 'Life'.".................................................................................................................................................

Basil AdvimiFeeling the spotlight on him, the shy mouse instantly spouted out the first thing on his mind. "A date!" He mentally smacked himself in the face. A date?! Dealer probably didn't like boys! Before he could feel himself crash and burn, he gathered his courage and looked up at the man.

"A date?" he repeated, his smile no longer sported on his face. "With you?" He paused and let his hand fall to his side, seeming to be lost in thought. Not yet answering the boy, he turned around and walked on a few paces before stopping again. His arms folded behind his back yet still managed to shuffle his cards; he muttered under his breath, but the wind was quick to take away his sound. After what seemed like forever, the man straightened up and turned around to face him, a light smile on his face.
"Yes, I'll go on a date with you." he agreed with a light nod. "I have never been in a relationship with a person of the same gender. This will certainly open my mind to new possibilities." he said and walked over to him. "Now then, have you a place in mind for our... date?""As for me... I am the dealer of this deck of cards called 'Life'.".................................................................................................................................................

Basil Advimi"Really? You will?" he said, astounded. AFter shaking himself from his shock, Basil grinned happily. "It's okay, I've never been in a relationship with ANYONE, so it'll be a learning experience for us both."
His smile disappeared at Dealer's question though. He sheepishly rubbed the back of his neck. "Honestly, I didn't think that far ahead. I didn't think you were going to say yes."

"Clouds are like minds." he started slowly. "Sometimes our minds are thunderous and loud, and sometimes they are slow and calm. And even another cloud can give a cloud watcher an idea, the way the take shapes of so many different things." Dealer tilted his head back and looked at Basil. "I've got an idea. How about a restaurant? That's a usual dating spot?" he suggested as his Wild Card shined and manipulated his deck. "Besides, what is possibly more romantic than the very epitome of romance: food?""As for me... "But if it is excitement you are hoping for, then I believe I know the perfect place." Turning around, Dealer climbed aboard his plane and turned to face the younger male, extending a hand towards him. "Shall we?""As for me...
