Meliah looked away, tears coming to her eyes. This wasn't what she expected. "Alright fine." She pulled away sharply closing her eyes. "He wouldn't tell me where you were. I just wanted to see you and he threatened to kill me."

Suka sat down, sighing heavily. How come every vacation she tried to go on, something seemed to go wrong one way or the other. She sighed heavily, suddenly missing Oregon. There's nothing I can do Andrew.

"You had bad ideas! Evil!" Trescot said hoarsely. "You were going to do something bad!" He buried his face one more in his new brother's shoulders.

"Little robin, you forget I hear all. Thoughts, wishes, words. I am not angry, merely upset. What has made your aura so dark?" Andrew sighed.

Meliah glared at him. "What does it matter to you now? When was the last time you ever wondered how I was doing? You knew I was alive, yet you didn't look for me, and instead found some b***h to marry!" She raised her voice, making sure Suka could here. Meliah shook her head, anxiety flowing over her. Why did Andrew have to run away from her like this? How could he just stop loving her? He used to love her so deeply, so passionately that he even promised he would be there forever. Meliah kept her promises, but it was clear to her now that Andrew couldn't. "You lied to me!" She put her head in her hands, her aura rising from grief. Meliah's heart had turned black since she was taught the ways of a Necromancer by Kage, but she wouldn't tell Andrew that. Why would he care anyways?

Suka could care less what that witch said. She'd been called a b***h so many times over the course of her life, she just stopped caring. Suka stood up, stretching out her arms. "Well I see you've got everything under control, so I'm going to take Tara and fly around for a while." She walked in between Andrew and Meliah, picking up Tara then closing the car doors, taking the keys with her. She adjusted Tara in her arms, then began walking away from the crowds of people. Oregon was so much more quiet and peaceful. It was more at that moment that she decided she was going to move to Oregon one day, regardless of who might object. Oregon felt like home. Tara put her head on Suka's shoulder, smiling. "Are we going to go fly around mama?" She asked, suddenly excited. "Yes Tara." Suka gave the best smile she could manage at the moment, then looked around. What impact did she have in Trescot's life at this time? To her, it didn't seem like much if anything at all. Trescot was beginning to mature and grow away from her more. Now this would be fine with her, but it was because Rae seemed to be replacing her at every turn. Would she ever be able to regain that place she had at one point in his life? She dearly hoped so.

Andrew's eyes saddened. Suka wasn't deserving of any horrible treatment. But Meliah seemed to think he knew she had been alive. "I never tried looking for a dead girl, little robin. I came home, to see your body spread round our house. Three decades later, I find a woman, who helped me forget. Helped me sleep. Helped me come to terms. But never with your death. Tht was my fault. It always will be, because I let you get close, when those idiots in black still stalked me." Andrew wrapped a long arm around Meliah

Trescot shook and took off from Trap's arms, racing, shakily, to catch up with Suka.

"Well I'm here now!" She pulled away from him, wiping her eyes. "Forget it!" She pushed past him, her hands clenched into fists. His 'wife' would pay for this. Dearly.

Suka looked back, noticing Trescot. "What are you doing? I thought you were going to stay with your mother for a while." The words were like stones in her heart. Suka thought for the longest time she was his mother, but now those beliefs had pretty much vanished, along with the hopes of a peaceful vacation.

Trescot clung silently, red eyed, to Suka's leg. A minute later, his raw voice cme out. "I want to fly with you mama. Like we used to when I was scared."
Soft sobs aaccompanied the words. A brat. His mama a b***h. Why was she so mean?

"Meliah, come here!" Andrew ran after her. He was resolved to fix this. His family wouldn't break apart for this.

Rae glowered at Meliah, rubbing Trescot's back soothingly until he ran after Suka. A soft smile crossed her lips as her grin eyes turned to her friend. She nodded. Trescot needed to fly, needed to be with Suka and Tara right now far away from this drama. She glanced back to Trap and sighed. "Thanks for watching over him..."

Trap nodded and ran an angry hand through his brown and white hair.

Meliah snapped, her eyes turning black. "Leave me alone!!" She suddenly disappeared in black mist, nothing left of her presence. She'd take care of all this later. If she started it, then the gods damned she was going to finish it.

Suka picked Trescot up, adjusting him then began walking down the beach. "Alright Trescot." Her voice was rather solemn, but at least her heart was in the right place. For now, Suka felt more like an aunt than a half parent. What happened that made her so hated? "We can't fly around for too long though... I'm sure your mother will want you back soon." Her heart sank at the reality. Every single precious minute she had with Trescot always seemed to slip away too quickly. It always seemed like he had somewhere to be, and someone who wanted to spend time with him too. Trescot had the fortune of having so many people to love and care for him. If she was honest with herself, Suka had to say this is what she had always wanted for him. But it didn't turn out the way she had expected.

"But I want to fly all day." Trescot clutched Suka tighter. "Please mama.I missed you so much. And now, i-I'm afraid I'll lose you I can't lose you mama." He sobbed into her shoulder.

Andrew sighed, shaking his head. "Damn it."

Suka kissed his forehead, then Tara phased, spinning and twirling in the air. "Hurry up mom!" She laughed, flying off into the air. Suka nodded, holding Trescot close. "You won't lose me. I promise." Suka didn't want to set him down, but she would have to if she was going to fly. Just another minute would be alright. Suka stepped on to the sand, taking a deep breath. As she watched the water, and the way the light from the sun hit it... she got an idea. The inspiration was too good not to try out. "How about this." She sat down in the sand, pulling Trescot into her lap. "If you wake up, about ten minutes before the sun rises, I'll have a surprise for you." This would be the most spectacular thing she's done in a while, and it would take all night to prepare it.

Trescot's sniffling slowly subsided. "O-okay mama. You promise you won't leave, ever again?" He asked shakily, resting his forehead against her shoulder, taking deep shuddering breaths a child sohuld never need.

Suka nodded, pulling him closer. "I promise. Never again." Her voice was soft, comforting. She was trying to calm him down. "Alright.. we better get into the air. It's a nice day out, it would be a shame to waste it on crying." She kissed his forehead, stroking his hair gently. Suka loved him to death, and would do anything for him. Suka set him down in the warm sand, then stood back, phasing. Her own aura turned colors, just like Tara's would. Granted, Suka was no bird of paradise, but she could seem beautiful when she wanted to. Suka nudged him with her head, encouraging him to fly. "Let's go little man."

Trescot hugged her tightly for a moment. "I love you mama. You'll always be mama, forever." He whispered, then slowly drifted into the air. It was nice, no need to rush through the skies.

"I love you too Trescot." She said, closing her eyes. She beat her wings gently, rising into the air. Tara circled around her mother, then circling around Trescot. Suka smiled, flying ahead. "Let's go you two."
