"Guh buh!"
Lasi greeted the, uh, was this a Magnemite then? It sounded like one and he supposed it would know best.
As it waved a magnet at him, he found himself returning the wave , even though he'd already waved once.
The bird sat on his trainer's head (weird, he decided), didn't seem quite as friendly somehow, but at least it wasn't being all noisy and trying to boss him around like Palu, even if it didn't seem playful like Pygi was.
He offered the bird another wave and a "Buh!" anyway, before looking back at the strange electric type and gesturing with a wing tip all around its shell.
"Guh buh!" It looked /cool/!

For the moment, Tambrey, like Sky, sat silently watching the pair, though wearing a smirk at the interaction.
Thank Arceus it had been Lasi's pokeball that the Magnemite had chosen to poke at... It could easily have been Neph, and Tambrey doubted she'd have waited for the release.

"Star." Sky answered Lasi's wave.

When the bat complimented his shell, Wheatley tried to look down at himself - a task made impossible by being a magnemite. After flipping around and facing upright again he smiled at the other pokemon and gave a proud head waggle. "Magnemite!"

And then the door swung open, admitting a spindly man with a crutch who would probably never think to knock or announce his arrival. "I thought that woman would never finish.. how long does it take to fix a-" He stared at the cozy scene of pokemon crowded around Tambrey, "...stitch. What are you doing?"

When the door swung open, Lasi turned to see who it was and blinked. Well he'd been informed of the new room mate, but was still rather surprised, apparently, to meet the human properly.
"Guh buh!" The large bat greeted the spindly man enthusiastically.

"Oh, uh. Hey." Tambrey offered a grin, slightly guilty, sure, but apparently emboldened enough to make light of it.
"We're just, y'know, sort of having a bit of a 'getting to know y'r room mates' party."

Star continued to stare at the scene, blinking and leaning into his crutch, "......uh huh."

"Star."

He sighed and closed the door behind him, then set about shrugging his coat off to hang it up. "You are aware that useless thing you're humoring just electrocuted me. I'm not sure treating it to playtime is really the proper response."

Wheatley wilted and lowered his eye to fidget with his magnets awkwardly.

Tambrey bit back a smirky giggle.
Star was, as far as she could tell, /fine/ so there hadn't been much harm done and she bit back the comment that was trying to fight its way up... Treating the pokemon to playtime /not/ a proper response for electrocuting /Star/? So, so many people would disagree...
Oh, sure, he had a point -really-, but... the giggles burst out a little and she had to bite them back again.
"Hee... Sorry, sorry, of course not, but it was an accident and it's been so well behaved since..." She reached to pet the odd electric type again.
"Besides, I see Mr. Birdhat here," She referenced Sky "out of his ball all the time- even told me he gets to come out and fly around- so it seemed a little mean t' put this one back; playtime's good f'r them."

Lasi, who had been eyeing Star's coat, looked to Star then and offered a little nod in support of his trainer. "Buh."

Star gave Tambrey a look that suggested he didn't appreciate her giggling, then finished hanging up his coat and resumed leaning against his crutch, "Sky isn't useless." He gestured at Wheatley, "That thing is."

"Magne..." During his fidgeting Wheatley'd managed to get his magnets stuck again.

Star seemed to notice this and rolled his eyes. He huffed a tired sigh, "What does blue taste like?"

Wheatley blinked and lifted his eye in consideration of the hypothetical question. "Mag..." His magnets released each other. He didn't seem to notice.

Star focused on Tambrey again and resumed talking, "When Sky causes problems he goes in his ball. He spends less time in his ball because he's capable of being out unsupervised more than five minutes without accidentally blowing something up."

"Well it can't be that useless if y' get it out to work with..." Tambrey pointed out. "Does it get, at least, play time to offset the work time? It's a very sweet natured pokemon, though admittedly a little, uh, challenged, maybe," she admitted, watching the magnet thing and trying not to look too impressed as Star unstuck them instantly "but it's been out with me while you've been down there and nothing's blown up 'r anything... 's been perfectly fine."

Lasi, meanwhile, was peering around Star, slowly waddling forward, aiming to go and look at the coat. Long coats were cool! He knew because he'd managed to badger Tambrey into letting him stay out to watch a movie while she read in the rec' room.

"All he does is generate electricity. Any electric type could do that.." Star muttered, sounding annoyed as he limped over to his work station, crutch thunking against the floor. When he noticed a drawer open, his rubber gloves removed and his stash of candies exposed his cheeks tinged pink and he turned a glare on Tambrey, "You rifled through my belongings!"

Oops.
Tambrey blushed a little too, then got a little annoyed at herself for blushing; they were her drawers in the first place.
She held the gloves up.
"I, uh, needed these because I didn't know how to unstick... his.." She blinked, suddenly focusing on that. "Wait you said 'he'." She smiled slightly. "So this is.. a 'he' then... And you call him 'he' instead of 'it'..."
She knew that, technically, the Magnemite probably didn't have a gender, but there was Star using 'he' to describe the pokemon.
Not 'it', 'he'; she found it rather nice, even if Star was about to go on some angry rant.

Lasi, meanwhile, was reaching out a wing to try and touch the coat; it looked like a film coat so he had to see what those felt like.

"Stop changing the topic!" Star slammed the drawer shut. "You can't go digging through my things while I'm not here!" He caught movement out of the corner of his eye and gasped as he spotted the bat reaching for his coat, "DON'T TOUCH THAT!"

Atop Tambrey's head, Sky winced as the shrill shout echoed in the tiny space.

"Well, y' weren't here t' ask, and I kind of did have stuff in there first, y' see..." She widened her eyes at the yell and snapped her attention to the bat, following his. Ooh dear.
"Uh, Lasi, maybe you should come back here and go back in the ball f'r a while..?"

The bat had practically screeched back at Star, wings thrown up over his ears.
What in the name of Camazotz was going on?! A human just used some sort of sonic scream at him?!
Did the new human know 'Supersonic' or something?!
He didn't even hear Tambrey, but waddled back to her anyway, seeking to go 'back in the damn ball' (his own words, if anyone could understand him) as he couldn't really attack a human, but it was too confusing to be out here with one that screeched like that.

The bat practically threw himself into the red light.
"Please don't shout like that at him; 's a bat..." Tambrey seemed concerned, though not surprised, by the pokemon's response.

"None of your pokémon touch my coat." Star answered tensely, pointing at said garment.

Sky sighed and fluttered off Tambrey's head. He crossed the room and landed on Star's shoulder, where he squaked in the roboticist's ear, "Star!"

Star winced, "Don't start."

Sky grabbed a mouthful of silver hair in his beak and gave it a yank before abandoning Star's shoulder and fluttering back to the headboard of his bed.

Star snarled after him, clenching his fists. The starly had landed backward, facing the wall as he snubbed his master. Star's eyes darted back to Tambrey, "Just put it away. I've had a long and painful day. I'm going to bed." He limp-thunked over to his closet.

"Alright, I'll ask him not to try to again, but y'know he was probably just curious about it..." She would have considered telling him off, but... well, then the bird had flapped over there and just about done the best job of it.

"Here." She tossed the gloves over onto his bed (at least she wouldn't be opening that drawer again tonight?) then moved to get up, offering a pat to the Magnemite.
"Hey, uh, he is your trainer and i's kind of sleeping time now, so if y'd just go back into the ball for me? It was nice to meet you though." She told the the electric type... and made a little vow to learn 'his' name before the next time they met.

Oh right.
Changing. She needed to do that too.
In all the pokemon interaction, she'd actually forgotten to do it while he was out...
Then again, it would also be nice to get a shower. She was sure that had been in the plans somewhere... And she could change there.
She remembered the towels being pointed out.
"Where'd you put my shampoo?"

"Magnemite.." Tambrey had asked very nicely, so Wheatley offered a little nod and drifted back in the direction of his ball on the collection of tables.

Star stepped behind his closet door to change. "I don't remember." He sighed, sounding bothered by the question, "Somewhere in the left pile, I think."

She wasn't supposed to touch his stuff, right?
Wheatley's ball was part of Star's stuff, so she couldn't touch that to press the release.
Unless Wheatley was able to put himself away, Star would have to interact with the electric type, even in that limited amount; at least, that was the theory.

Tambrey frowned at the 'piles' of stuff.
The battle had knocked 'the left pile' around a little, mingling it somewhat it into the others, meaning it was more 'the left bit of the big pile'.
At least she knew where the towels were...
"Are you sure it was this pile?"
