Bix's eyes showed hurt but whatever frustration and frazzled nerves were dissolving into worry and impatience. When Before came over Bix stood by him but put a hand on his friend's chest to stop him. "Leave her go. She's nuts right now. I don't even think she knows what shes saying." Maybe she did but the sane Cass he knew wasn't this person in front of him. He had a thousand things he could yell at her and it was barely contained. Did he really want to try and reason with a crazy person? Was anything he could say going to help? He wasn't really sure. There was one solid fact that he was positive of though. She was a 17yr old girl and he was a 22 year old man with a good amount of height and strength. He may have just been an archer but he worked out regularly and was in the best shape of his life. Bix closed in on her, faster and stronger than her 'brother' ever had acted before. He grabbed her arms, pinned them to her sides, and held her in a bear hug. He even lifted her off of the ground a bit, face turning red as he fought to restrain her. He didn't want to give her any way to run. "WE NEED SOME SEDATIVES OVER HERE!" He was yelling towards the Life hunters, most of which were milling around the bunks and shooing people to the infirmary if they needed it.

Cass had barely turned on Before when Bix had grabbed her. "SHUT UP. SHUT YOUR FACE! YOU CAN'T EVEN CARRY YOUR OWN WEIGHT YOU USEL- LET GO OF MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!" she suddenly was pulled from her tirade of what could have very well been a lot of angry and hateful words.
But being 5'4" had a way of not working out in her favor as she kicked at the air and thrashed about to the best of her abilities. Her anger had not gone unnoticed either as Bix's outcry gained a quick response from a Life Hunter who ran over to see what was going on. His frown was plain even as he held the trainee's arm firmly in one hand, hold like a vice grip as Cass continued to try and struggle against him as he shoved the needle past her flesh, right into one of the veins of her forearm.
No time was wasted to make sure the drug was in her system either, the needle removed less than five seconds later. But Cass spent another minute thrashing before they calmed. Within two minutes she just went limp into the hold that Bix had on her.

Before's face was screwed up in a sour expression. God, he might as well have not said or done s**t. If Cass was bitching about being useless Before should have just, iunno, ******** rolled his eyes and ignored her. Or maybe threw a shoe at her. A part of him missed being able to just chuck boots at people without worry that the next pair would be coming outta his pocket. Sadly, that s**t don't fly here, and tiredly, the Misty just raised his hands as if in surrender -resignation was more like it.
"Whatevs, at least she ain't gone all Carrie on us," he muttered none too understandingly as he headed back to Tori.

Bix hoisted Cass's dead weight finally and held her in front of him. "I'll take her to the infirmary." He nodded to the Life hunter who'd rushed to help. "Thanks bro. For trying." He heard something, his head jumping to the side as if he saw something but it was nothing. "She was the one, back then, who blew her head off." Bix frowned. "Hoping to not have a repeat. At least not under my watch. Sorry..." Once more he looked tired. So tired. All he wanted to do was take a shower but this took priority. With a heavy sigh he gave Before and Tori a weak smile. He looked pretty broken, but weren't they all? With that he headed out to the Infirmary. [EXIT to Infirmary (taking Cass)]

Molly’s nerves felt frayed. Between the escalated verbal tennis match between Cass and Bix, and then Dakota being down on himself, Molly was getting much more anxious, nervous, and truthfully a bit frightened. They had all just gotten back and yet they were all at each other’s throats and oh, she really, really really didn’t like confrontation between her fellow Hunters. “Dakota!” She pleaded, reaching out for him again as he pulled away from her, but hesitated as he told her to go help someone else. “… I…I’m not pretending to be nice, and you can do a lot of things if you put your mind to it….oh…” Her voice died down as he moved away, and she fidgeted, biting her lip as tears pricked at the corners of her eyes. There went Dakota. There went Bix and Cass as well, the Mist Intermediate slung over his shoulder and what in the world was happening? She didn’t like this at all. She didn’t want to be here anymore. Sleep was pushed aside for right now as she moved away from the barracks. Of course no one needed help. Why should they? She couldn’t even keep a ten year old alive in her own house…why did she think she could do any differently here? ((Exit))

Wilson quietly backed away from Cass when Bix came over. Bix would manage to calm Cass down, right? He silently walked backwards, cautiously eyeing the pair as he slowly made his way back to the bed he had been sleeping on. The man flinched visibly when both of them raised their voices. Not good. Not good at all. He didn’t even bother to watch Bix carry Cass to the infirmary before he shuffled toward the showers and mumbled incoherently to himself. It looked like he couldn’t do anything after all.

Jordan watched with some degree of puzzlement as Harrison hiked his shirt up and pressed the flat of B0nez's blade against the flowers; as far as he knew, B0nez didn't have a healing charge, so what was - Oh. Well. Jordan kept his expression blank with some difficulty as vines smoked and oozed out onto the ground like oversized worms. He agreed with Rep's comment; it was gross.
As he turned towards the exit, he heard a voice rise towards hysteria; he turned towards the commotion and saw Cass yelling, looking rather less than sane. The thought gave him pause. The ashen phoenix had been formed from Insanity. What effects had it had on those who fought it? He recalled hearing mocking whispers and laughter during the chaotic blur of battle. Had he been affected too, and the effects simply not manifested visibly yet? Did it carry over? Who else was affected? An undercurrent of rising panic flowed under the thoughts, and it was with difficulty that he made himself calm down.
You're reacting very strongly, Ferros observed.
I'm tired, Jordan said defensively. We've been through hell and back. He watched a Life hunter sedate Cass, and breathed a quiet sigh of relief. It might have been nothing more than stress. He could be worried about nothing. The infirmary staff would probably be able to tell, anyway.
He followed the others out toward the infirmary, stepping firmly on the now-still vines on the way out.

Ofelia had been cackling quietly in a corner the entire time, very much aware of what had been going on. She was watching people come in, she was listening, but most of all she was silently cackling when the noise didn't want to come from her mouth. Inside her head Rue's voice was fighting with others, a Greek choir of laughter and lamenting.
Was it comforting to hear the voices again? It was weird, she didn't know what to think. Back home she'd head the voices all the time no matter where she was; the barn had them in droves, the school had them in select locations. Going out had given her a chance to hear new voices as well and now that she was in Deus all the voices had stopped except for Rue. The new sounds in her head weren't as loud as Rue but there were more of them and they could drown out the hatred the boo hag possessed. It was a relief, not really, and it left Ofelia still cackling as she listened to the instructions, listened about what she needed to do. The end result had her watching, waiting.
There was panic, anger, relief. Everyone was feeling something and when everyone went to move Ofelia moved to join them. She'd been told there was a way to get rid of the flowers, the blossoms no longer needing to bloom on her like a walking garden. A shame really, she liked the way they looked, but they smelled kind of funny and itched a bit more. If she had allergies life would have been so hard but then again could a person be allergic to their own flesh? A strange though, a strange thought, but none the less she went along.
She needed to get rid of the flowers, Rue had said, because then the voices in Ofelia's head would belong to her alone. Rue was the jealous type, there would be no one else to hold a place that drove the teen to tears.

Tori turned her head when she heard Before calling out to her as she smiled a little to see that her best friend was at least alive still the whispering continued as she looked quickly around. Her attentions were drawn back to Before when he hugged her which was nice of him. But when he let go she thought that he was going to leave her alone and she didn’t like that at all since she hated to be alone, so she clung to his arm a little. Aklin said still quite mad with his Hunter. But those whispers…
I will try and sorry. Tori replied to her weapon still worried and unsure of herself when still hearing those whispers, but she was going to try and not listen to it. Aklin said sternly as he was so going to lecture her later on when she was more herself. Letting out a little sigh as she just wanted to read, but she wasn’t going to argue and was going to let Before lead on. With the arguing going on Tori just withdrew into herself more since she didn’t like what had been screamed as the whispering encouraged it and her want to forget.

The Misty offered an arm to the Lifer, though his lips remained in a sour frown. His ire wasn't directed at Tori however. But would she know that? Hopefully the fact that Before kept his eyes narrowed at the retreating figures carrying Cass over to the infirmary would be enough.
"C'mon, Story, let's go before you end up being able to do photography. Err, I mean photosynthesis." Was that a deliberate attempt at humor?
That's highly unlikely, there's no need to worry about those plants, silly Before. Vanna chided.
He ignored his partner's mild scolding as he led them to the infirmary.

Taking the arm the Misty offered as Tori clinged to that arm a little since if she let go of that arm that Before would disappear forever. The Lifer didn't mind one bit about the sour frown on her best friends face as they all had been thought a lot and she was trying to not think on that out burst. Smiling just a little at what Before said as it perked her up, but she did think that these types of plants did that type of thing as she was thinking that her blood was what keeping them alive sorta for right now. "Alright," she said still with a little smile while being lead out.

After a few days of restless sleep, multiple showers and little interest in food, Sasha almost felt halfway normal. Almost. She still had no urge to interact with others; even Jerry, her dearest friend, had been of little solace to Sasha. Depression, moreso than the Insanity, had the life hunter in its clutches, and Sasha was powerless to stop it. Even still, the constant roar of bits and pieces of low, hushed voices kept her company - along with Nona, though Sasha's bonded had not been chatty. She'd kept Sasha's mind full with song in an attempt to keep the hunter's mind off of the heavy weight of paranoia and downright sadness. After the mission briefing, Sasha should have felt better. It was likely that everything in the dorms remained intact, but even that small bit of happy was soon crushed. There was no reason for her to feel this way, and Sasha couldn't rationalize her feelings. This alone made her even more upset. Milling around, accomplishing nothing... Picking herself up off of the cot, Sasha decided that the best plan of action would be getting out of the cave... as to who she could drag along? iStoleYurVamps I might not be around at 530 like I said because I forgot the BF has a softball game but START SOMETHIN UP and I'll reply as soon as I can tonight!
