What lay on the other side of the portal was fog, fog and a looming, blue-eyed form in a too-familiar shade of grey. Jordan moved aside and hastily clipped the chain back to his belt so he could summon Ferros again. This one wasn't as toweringly massive as the false Aria had been, but Jordan didn't doubt that it could hurt them badly. Its form was familiar, he realized. He'd seen that tentacled face in Halloween - where? The festival. It had been human-sized then and purple. What it had become now was even more alien.

He glanced around, noting that there were some freaks facing off against it. No familiar faces here, and no glyphs - he'd assumed that they were going to another glyph room, but it appeared that wasn't the case. They'd just have to fight their way out of here; but he couldn't see any portals other than the one he'd just come out of. s**t. Where was the exit?

And then she turned to look, and there they were. Hunters. The foes she had been longing for. Riley no longer mattered, because she was no longer an obstacle.

She scanned them, and there, suddenly, was a boil. A boil and a Hunter, exactly the sort of target she needed. Briefly, she noticed and registered Mitzi on the ground, and she paused. "Mitzi, get up. The Hunters are here." She was grinning madly, and her voice had acquired a strange lilt, a tone of...glee, at the prospect of fighting them? Yes, that was the only way to describe how she looked and sounded. Reiko was gleeful. She offered a hand to help pull up her friend, all the while staring at the Hunter that was to be her target once her friend was off the ground. As a warning to him, she pulled out her hairclip, and tossed it. Ineffectually.

Appearance

Reiko is an extremely pale ghoul with long black hair. She is wearing a white bloodstained kimono with pink trim and a pink obi, and wooden sandals. She is also grinning like a murderous psycho.

Arriving in a more stable location, the first thing Jove did was heal the wounds growing on his left side. The ache began to fade as the damage repaired itself, to be replaced by new growth. New mushroom growth, to be specific.

He then took a moment to size up the situation, seeing if any of his friends made it through as well.

Arriving to see a huge, monstrous gray tentacled vaguely female thing? Slightly better than the titan that was the size of a small state. But honestly- He'd survived a hell of a lot recently. Many of them had. Other hunters, already present, Marcus was going to fall back into his job. And-
Don't you think about it. To bad, Dis, he was. Not hesitating, Marcus went to Cass, wordless determination on his face as he walked by her. It was only when the scimitar flashed blue that he said anything to her- the first time since the mission had begun. A moment ever so brief in passing. "I won't leave without you." Simple as the words were, they were a part of him. His determination. He would survive, and he'd not leave unless she was with him.

She was not the weakest, she would make it out. She always did. the one who looked the most in need of help was Gale. "Hey Gale." He held up the roll of bandages, quickly slapping them on. "I told you, don't die."

Through the portal of War, Arynek was supposed to be taken to the portal in Famine, but there was something really strange at Famine portal......

A giant.......lady?

She seemed to be out of control and provoking attacks. There were cloaked figures and some students attacking the....crazy lady...and some of the students kept shouting "Riley!"

Riley?

"Would it possible to be one of the students?" She wondered. What happened? She was totally confused and hoped for someone to give her an answer.

When he respawned there were hunters around. Their coats marked them for what they were, as did the way that they were turning on students. It was too much. First they had this giant "student" to face, with students turning on other students for daring to attack when they were all being destroyed, and now hunters?

But then familiar faces appeared as well. When he saw Miss Danny he felt a spark of hope. She did not look like her typical energetic self, but then it was time to flame on and she was rushing forward and attacking relentlessly.

He should have been the one to do that. His gaze sought out Alexander, stayed there for a brief moment, and then he was running back at the giant, throwing his full strength into each kick and punch. Perhaps with the largest target gone they would be able to destroy the hunters that had appeared.

If they got reinforcements.

He staggered and spat blood, his head ringing from the attack of the dragon. Gale felt his head spinning unpleasantly, and he had just barely managed to get himself upright again when someone else ran at him. Fortunately the claws missed, but Gale's vision was already beginning to waver in and out.

I can't die. I made a promise.

I promised you.

He stumbled again - and felt someone grab his arm, someone familiar and someone who was not a creature of Amityville.

"...Marcus?"

Gale could feel the other hunter moving, something wrapping around his middle and arm. His fuzzy brain registered them as bandages, and after a few seconds he felt almost well enough to move again. A smirk touched Gale's lips, hardly there. His hand slipped beneath the bloodied, dirty, and torn coat he wore, fingers touching metal.

"I'm not going anywhere."

And with that, Gale pulled out the barrier dagger and slammed it into place.
