Somehow, at some point .... Jude had fallen asleep on the cot he had landed upon a little bit after he'd patched himself up a little. What had clued him into the point was Yom.

{Jude. Jude. JUDE. Wake up! It isss time to do thingsss. You cannot keep resting on your laurelssss.} Yom chided.

Jude's eyes snapped open and he blearily sat up with a small groan. He felt sore, he was still tired but he could survive. He sat up and let out a small sigh as he meandered out of the tent.

Feng ground his teeth together nervously as she not only noticed him but called someone over. She didn't seem pleased, and he just felt awkward. When the other hunter came over he crossed his arms over his stomach and shook his head. "No, no. I'm fine, I don't need anything," he lied, even as he scratched at the bug bites on his arms.

<Don't lie to them, Feng. You need something for the itching.>

No I don't. I just need to get out of here before she tells everyone I'm a freak or something.

Ami was selective, not cruel. She could see the guy was itching and didn't know it. Maybe he hadn't noticed the bug bites?

With a sigh, she said, "Help him with his bug bites yeah?" She didn't want to appear like she cared too much though. There was a thin line between motherly and creepy.

She stood up and stretched a little, then said, "I'm going to go see what's going on over there if you need me." She gestured to the mission tent that a few people were gathering around.

As she took a step towards the door, she added, "Don't need me."

Feng’s scratching did not go unnoticed. Wilson threw the mist trainee an incredulous look, smiling and quirking an eyebrow at him. “Are you sure? It looks like those bug bites are irritating you.”

He nodded at Ami before he searched around for his tube of cream. “Already on it!” he assured her as the moon trainee stood up and stretched. “Okay, thanks for telling me, and will do.” Wilson gave Ami another smile as he finally brandished some cream and uncapped it. He began to dab it on the few bites he could already see. “I don’t think we’ve met before. What’s your name? I’m Wilson.”

Feng shifted uncomfortably as he watched the long-haired girl leave. Was he crazy, or had that last statement seemed a little... pointed? Oh god. She already thought he was a crazy creeper. Seriously, he hadn't meant to fondle her hair!

Right. Right? Right. He focused on the boy helping him and tried to offer an easy-going smile. "Yeah, I guess it's a little annoying." He held out his arms and tried to be a good patient. "I'm kind of new, I guess. I'm Feng. Do you... uh... do you know that girl well?"

“Don’t worry. This cream will help you a lot.” Wilson took the time to pull back one of his sleeves to reveal his own set of bug bites along with the multiple bandages. “Ami gave me some and now I barely feel them at all.” He rolled his sleeve back down so he could continue administering first aid. “New? So are you in the same group that Ami’s in? What was it, Lambs?”

He continued to talk, easily filling in the potential silence when needed. “Feng? Does that mean you’re Chinese?” Wilson grinned. “Me too. Half, anyways, and yeah, I know Ami. I don’t know if I actually know her well, but I like to think we’re at least friends.” Then again, Wilson thought he was friends with pretty much everyone.

Oh thank god. Could they just soak him in the cream? That would be fabulous. He made a very obviously displeased face at the name of their little group of trainees. Did everyone know what they were called? "Yeah, Lambs," he admitted. Ami. He hadn't known her name was Ami.

He kind of liked this guy. He made conversation easy, which was always something Feng could appreciate. He smiled and nodded. "My parents came over from China just before having me. ...I don't think Ami likes me," he scrunched up his nose and shrugged away the rumble of disapproval that Shang gave.

He noticed the displeased look on Feng’s face, which made Wilson chuckle. “No worries. I’m a ‘Hatchling.’ I think we all have these funky group names.” Wilson shrugged to signal he didn’t know why, but they did. He nodded his head understandingly. “Yeah, my mom emigrated from China as well, but my dad is English. Hence the whole half bit.” His expression softened as he managed to conjure up a portrait of his parents. “My mom was so strict sometimes, but I know she cared.” Wilson shook his head while he smiled. Then he looked at Feng curiously. “Really? You think so?” Apparently Wilson thought everyone loved everyone. Mostly.

Reine most certainly did not wake up on a hammock in the Bahamas, where it was lovely and warm and relaxing. She woke up, her whole body hurting, in the bitter cold of the Antarctic, on a makeshift cot that creaked dangerously under her. She supposed it could be worse, really, and that at least the dream had been nice while it lasted, but it would take her five more minutes of sleep, or maybe fifty, to fully recover from the biting cold, permeating into her bones. If she even felt able to walk, she would be out there right now, just gulping down all the hot chocolate they still had left.

On hindsight, she should have had the foresight not to jump into the freezing water- a cursory glance around the room revealed no Justin, but the fact that she was here probably meant he had dragged her back to begin with, and was therefore doing much better than she was. It wasn't fair, maybe it was the whole 'tank' thing he did, that seemed to make him more resistant to the cold, or even just the rules of reality in general. She still thought, though, that he should have listened to her, about the fishing, then they wouldn't have ended up like this. Maybe they could even have finished off the whole monster, found the artifact, returned triumphantly to camp, but nope- someone had decided to turn himself into a human popsicle, and she'd had to rescue him. At least they were lucky there weren't sharks in the water or something.

With a groan Reine turned, flopping over and burying her face in the pillow. The blanket over her was too thin to offer any real warmth, and she wasn't wearing her jacket or scarf, probably because wet clothes would make her even sicker. The life trainee sneezed sadly, pulling the blanket up over her head; she couldn't really afford to get sick on a mission, what if she missed something important, what if she missed the boss fight. Seconds later she was curled up, fast asleep again.

This time it wasn't the Bahamas she was dreaming of, but rather a particular apple with a smiley face, chasing after her as she ran..

It was like a light switch had been flicked on. One moment, Eva was engulfed in a dark and dreamless sleep, and the next, she was suddenly aware of the light shining against her eyelids and of the buzzing voices that surrounded her. Where was she? ...And what happened? She forced her eyes open a crack as she groggily attempted to push herself up into a sitting position. This was...the infirmary tent, wasn't it? The last she remembered, she had brought Gale in here, and then when she set off to find Reine and Otto...

Aah. She could distinctly remember how her vision had began to flicker when she tried to make her way out of the tent, doubtlessly because of her fatigue. She wasn't sure who had carried her here, but...geez, how embarrassing to pass out in front of the tent flap like that!

On the bright side, she was feeling a little more refreshed now. How much sleep she had gotten, she didn't know, but even an hour was better than nothing. Kicking her legs over the side of her cot, she began to slide off when she noticed something from the corner of her eye. There was...a lump on one of the other cots. All Eva could see was the white of the blankets, and someone curled up beneath it.

Were they...uh. Were they alright? They had their blanket over their head--wouldn't they suffocate in there? Eva moved over towards the other cot, her brows raised as she reached out and gave the lump a light pat on the side. "Excuse me?"

"I DIDN'T EAT YOU!!"

Reine jerked awake, sitting up and looking around wildly. The.. the apple with the sinister smiling face, it had almost caught up to her, oh, right- it had just been a dream. Relaxing, she sighed, her breathing slowly evening out. Those few extra minutes of sleep had done wonders, at least, she felt much stronger than she had before, and even a little warmer. Maybe it was just psychological, considering the temperature really hadn't changed much at all.

The life trainee sat, half spacing out, half contemplating something or other. She was staring straight ahead of her with a sort of dopey smile on her face, pleased that she had avoided death by apple, poisonous or not- before realising that there was someone hovering over her.

"Evie!" The sound was muffled by Reine squishing her face against Eva's stomach in a hug.

"I'm so glad you're okay, I was worried about you." The last she'd seen the girl was somewhere in the infirmary, but then she'd been more concerned about Justin, who'd been barely even functional. There was one problem fixed, since Justin was okay now- but she'd lost sight of Otto, too.

Getting off the bed, Reine stretched a little and dressed quickly, throwing her jacket on and lacing it up, then tying her scarf around her neck.

"You free now? I could do with another mug of cocoa."

Eva nearly tripped backwards over herself, her eyes growing wide as the figure under the blankets suddenly popped up like a jack in a box (those had always scared Eva) and yelled something at her. W-what was even...!?

It took her a few moments to realize that both the voice and the figure were very familiar, and she opened her mouth to speak when she suddenly felt Reine's face pressed against her stomach. There was a beat of silence, and then Eva laughed, wrapping her arms around the girl and giving her an affectionate squeeze back. She felt one of the weights that had been dragging her down suddenly lift from her shoulders. Thank god Reine was still in one piece.

"You don't know how relieved I am to see you safe and sound," She grinned, taking a step back when Reine slid off the cot, "And yeah, I'm free! Just woke up myself, actually. Want to get out of here?" Now that she had found Reine, Eva wanted nothing more than the relax with her friend and chat for a little while.

Considering where they were, though, she doubted that they would get much time to do so. Might as well make the best of it!

"Me too," Reine murmured, moving to give Eva another quick hug. "C'mon, let's get out of here." There was still a little more free time, enough for a catch-up chat over delicious hot cocoa.

So far things in the Antarctic had been relaxing, to say the least, but if they were still on a mission, and they probably were, or they'd be back at the island, there was a chance that things could take a drastic turn for the worse.

And, as much as she didn't want to acknowlege the niggling doubt at the back of her mind, there was a chance she might never see Eva again. Shuddering, Reine bit her lip and grabbed Eva's hand, tugging her friend along towards the exit of the infirmary tent. She fully intended on keeping Eva safe, the current casualty count was already much, much higher than anyone would have liked.

Christ.

She was tired to the bone. Laying down on the cot, Clerise winced as her muscles screamed at her for the effort.

The s**t I have to do without you. Jerkbutt.

She laid down on a cot after being hissed at by a nurse who essentially threw bandages at her.

Ofelia limped into the infirmary and crashed on a cot, a nurse coming over and brandishing a pair of scissors. The appearance of them and the threat of cutting her shirt open to get proper bandages on her caused Ofelia to roll onto her stomach, a brat move that ended up causing her more pain than not. When the nurse finally stopped swearing and set the scissors down, stating she'll just wrap the bandages over her shirt, Ofelia finally sat herself up and let the healing begin. She looked around as she was being manhandled, doing her best to keep her mind off the fondling, and she spotted Clerise.

"Howdy Circus Queen. How ya doin'?" Ofelia sounded like this was a normal conversation, acting like nothing was a big deal and she wasn't having her body wrapped against all the blood she was losing. She grinned at her friend and would have waved but apparently moving her arms got her a slap on the back from the nurse. Oooouch.
