It held together well enough she supposed. Next, was the gum of arabid, the bonding agent.
Staring at the strange chemical, Lailah wondered if it would work like glue. Glue, last she remembered, wasn't very strong. it was more like a sticky white gel, that she gotten all over herself. It had taken hours to wash out of her hair, unlike water, where it was made to last.
Ah, the memories.

The ingredients ended up falling apart, without even an attempt to stay onto the stick. Her face dropped in disappointment. She gently shook the ingredients wondering what she had done wrong.
"C'mon~ Stick pleeeasssee!"

She didn't know what happened, but it worked! She trhew her hands in the air, floating excitedly up and down. She wasn't quite sure how well it worked, nor how it smelled. Despite her amateur effort, she was extremely proud of herself. "Hopefully, you work just as well too Mr. Incense." Post the following at the bottom of your post when you're done rolling: Step 1 Result: What Ingredients did you use? Rose Petals, Cedar, & Sandalwood. What number did you roll? 7 Step 2 Result: What number did you roll? 6 Step 3 Result: What number did you roll? 2 Step 4 Result: What number did you roll? 9 Step 5 Result: What number did you roll? 4

Eight Junko's got this. She was quick to arrive to class, and she paid very close attention to what Invictus was doing and teaching. She loved incense, she didn't get enough time to burn any because she didn't have the seeds to spare and...she didn't know how to make it. Until now. Invictus just taught Junko a life lesson she can carry with her forever. The question now was...which ingredients would she use? Rose petals? Oh yes. Rosemary? Ohhh...and juniper berries! This should be nice!

Grinding the ingredients into an almost perfect powder, Junko felt confident. How was everyone else doing? They were going great, right? Now she just had to add the charcoal and...
That should do it. She frowned, looking around again. Wow, was it really that much charcoal? No one was looking disapprovingly so it should be fine. Yeah, she'd be okay. You can do this, Junko.

She seriously didn't have enough gum, but Junko was going to try her hardest damnit. She delicately attempted to bond the mixture to the stick, but it didn't work. Damn! Sighing, Junko added whatever gum she could add. It had to work! It had to!

It worked! Yes! Sighing with relief, Junko sat back and smiled. Okay, now it had to set. How long would that take? She almost didn't want to touch it because of how precariously the mixture was bonded to the stick.

Junko didn't want to touch it. She didn't want to wreck it. She couldn't bring herself to do it. She would ruin it, she just knew she would. She didn't want to hurt it. Nonononono--maybe it was done now. A bit of the mixture threatened to fall off the stick, but it held relatively well. Oh thank Jack! Step 1 Result: Rose petals, Rosemary and Juniper Berries. Rolled a 9. Step 2 Result: 9 Step 3 Result: 1 Step 4 Result: 7 Step 5 Result: 8

S'alright at tha'school. I try 'n put more than tha'usual candy corn in 'his urn so he ain't goin' fer tha vines. Found 'I'm a few times over there but- Popcorn'll be Popcorn as ma'Ma would say.Even with the addition amount, the stuff still wasn't sticking. Aye Xiu... think somethin' might be wrong with them sticks? In such a neat and organized place? It was unlikely, she thought. With the tapestries and meticulous attention to detail, these surely were exactly as Invictus had meant for them to be. Levi just focused harder on the application. The content of Levi's incense slid off the stick again. Raising a brow, she couldn't quite tell if it was too dry or if she'd now put too much gum of Arabic. Wiping her fingers on the end of her tank top, Levi tried again. This time, she tried not to handle the same bit for too long. Apparently that was all it needed to get onto the stick. The ghouls had just been handling it too much. Less was more? Ah- thar it goes. She held the stick up in triumph. Mashed incense on a stick = success. Zar set to work once the instructions were handed out, as he got down to business trying to keep his mind off of the indignity of being taught by someone who was part of that clique from school. He just had to focus on the matter at hand, which for the time being was decently simple to do, the lesson was interesting, much better than all that fighting nonsense that went on back at Amityville. He liked doing intricate things far more, so it was hard to stay too irritable while he worked.
Picking out some ingredients he decided to go with the simple, mixing together some sandalwood and cinnamon, taking the ingredients and chopping them with nimble ease, using his tail to do the precise cutting and his claws to aid with anything that presented too much of an issue. It seemed at the very least so far so good.
The charcoal however was a slightly different matter, he didn't like touching the stuff at all, didn't like having anything to do with anything that was formerly near fire. It took a great deal of effort to involve ANY of the stuff in his process and the sooner he was done touching it and thinking about it the better.
The bonding agent was a much more pleasant and simple to work with, even if it took a little longer as he was unable to involve his claws this time, no way was he getting anything potentially messy on them if he could help it. His tail sufficed just fine.
The mixture applied just right, making him smirk, looking pleased with himself.
Finally he settled down to wait on the incense to set. While he waited he amused himself by just ..staring coldly at Invi.
For a very very long time.

((Entering)) Lucinda looked around to see what she had missed, she quickly gathered up the ingredients she needed. She had picked up Frankincense, Juniper berries, Cumin and Vetivert. She carefully read the instructions before getting ready to start. This was the first time she had ever dealt with incense so she just went into this without too much stress about it coming out perfectly. Lucinda ground the ingredients carefully but she didn't spend as much time on it as she should have, it was finer than average but it wasn't perfect. She starred at it for a moment before adding the charcoal, making sure she put enough so that it would burn slowly but not too slowly. She added only a little bit of the bonding agent because she didn't like getting sticky stuff between her fingers, she loved the feel of the charcoal but this bonding stuff was just too nasty for her. At first the incense wouldn't stick, she glared at it slightly because she didn't want to touch it again. She frowned for a moment and wiped her hands on her shorts, leaving black streak from the coal on them. She picked up the incense again and tried to make it hold together, she let go after a moment and looked to see if it worked. She smiled as it held onto the stick this time. She sat back and watch it as it sat for a bit, she was a little impatient though because of how it didn't stick. She didn't want it falling off while it set. Step 1 Result: What Ingredients did you use? Frankincense, Juniper berries, Cumin and Vetivert. What number did you roll? 6 Step 2 Result: What number did you roll? 6 Step 3 Result: What number did you roll? 1 Step 4 Result: What number did you roll? 4 err reroll Step 5 Result: What number did you roll? 3
