he blinked several times when her shirt fell down again. the tattoo was realy as beautiful as it was simple, and it made him think deeply. she certainly had a love of wolves, he thought.
"yeh... let's get going then. we're gonna be late if lollygag too much longer."
he started heading out the door, waiting up for Katriel.

"Who on earth says 'lollygag' any more?" Katriel asked as she jammed her feet into sneakers and followed him out the door, being careful to lock her pups in for the day. She and Vince got on get bike and motored into the city. At the first light, she paused. "Do you want me to swing by your place so you can grab a fresh shirt fruit the day or are you ok with looking like you slept at my place?" she wondered. She couldn't say she cared much if people thought she was sleeping her way into a job. It wasn't likethat and worse hadn't been said abouther before.

he checked his watch, to see how long they had until work.
"I think we got time for that. thanks." he said, glad to get out of yesterday's clothes again. sides, he realy didn't want Jesse asking too many questions and teasing him the way he knew she would.
"it's just around the corner and then a straight shot for two blocks." he told her. "you'll recognize it right away, the only apartment building that isn't bare brick."

Katriel motored the bike to his apartment complex. She never understood why puerile liked to live on to of each other, but it seemed to work for them. "I'll just wait for you here," she said.

ScarletFrost Katriel motored the bike to his apartment complex. She never understood why puerile liked to live on to of each other, but it seemed to work for them. "I'll just wait for you here," she said. "thanks, I'll be just a minutes." he told her, hopping off the bike and running up the stairs. he pretty much stumbled inside after he got the keys in. that was something he was good at, fitting his key into the lockhole without even needing to look. he made it to his floor pretty quickly up the stairs, and when he grabbed his clothes he hurriedly put them on, running down the stairs while putting his shirt on. he was refitting his name-pin as he came out the front door and locked it again. hopping back on the back, he was breathing heavily. the whole side-trip took maybe 3 minutes. "ready?" he asked, a big grin on his face.

Katriel just admired the area. It was cozy and settled. Very...rooty. Vince was in and back again in no time. "Ready when you are, sparky," she replied teasingly. Then she gunned the small motor on her bike and took them all the way into the animal shelter. Today was just like the day before--sweeping walkways, hosing kennels, cleaning cages, and walking (or rather, running) the dogs. Katriel wheedled with Vince so that she could be in charge of everything for the dogs, and he would take all the smaller pets. The dogs responded to her natural Alpha status and the fewer snacks she had the chance of eating the better.

ScarletFrost Katriel just admired the area. It was cozy and settled. Very...rooty. Vince was in and back again in no time. "Ready when you are, sparky," she replied teasingly. Katriel wheedled with Vince so that she could be in charge of everything for the dogs, and he would take all the smaller pets. Vince was in no mood to argue that plan. it realy seemed to work out best anyway. he enjoyed small, cuddly things that he could keep in cages most of the time, since he was a real urban kinda guy. he was also very used to strong smells and cleaning rediculous messes. in fact, Jess had caught on to the new dynamic and was pretty pleased with it herself. she had mentally noted how much more smoothly everything was running with a specialist on hand. Katriel's affinity for the dogs made them much happier and easier to handle, while that freed up Vince to pay closer attention to the other animals that he had an easier time with.

They adopted out more animals and Katriel gave out lots of practical training advice. "You should teach a class," one girl said after Katriel had explained the different sides of using treats and clickers to train. "Maybe someday," Katriel laughed. "Just remember to use your treats sparingly, your clicks instantly, and your love constantly." "Got it!" the girl agreed as she left with her new pit-bull mix puppy. That was the last adoption of the day. With satisfaction, Katriel flipped over the "open" sign to read "closed." She made her final rounds to all the dogs, feeding, pating, and inducing in a last-minute wrestling match or two. Then she met Vince at the back exit. "Another day, another dollar," she said with a smile. "I have to get home and take my pups out for a run tonight. It'll be a full moon, and they always get antsy."

"oy! if your both taking lunch break right now, don't be too long! I can't afford more workers, don't wanna have to put you two on seperrate scheduals."

ScarletFrost "I eat fast!" Katriel replied. "Sounds like we had better take my bike." She trotted over to the machine and fired it up. "Point me in the right direction and we'll be there and back in 10 minutes." he told her she cant miss it -- big neon sign that read "Sam & Star's". it was an organic food resturaunt, with take-out and sit-down both available! it even had alternative meats and vegan menue.

Katriel pulled up and ordered a beefy lunch with a few greasy sides. It was harder to pack on the calories with so much health food, but she did her best. After Vince placed his order, Katriel booked it back to the pound and inhaled her lunch between the parking lot and the back door.

ScarletFrost Katriel pulled up and ordered a beefy lunch with a few greasy sides. It was harder to pack on the calories with so much health food, but she did her best. After Vince placed his order, Katriel booked it back to the pound and inhaled her lunch between the parking lot and the back door. Vince could hardly eat, unable to take his eyes off of Katriel as she scarfed down her food like that. he didn't even realize they had food as greasy as she ordered there, but then again nobody before ever ordered so much of it. "you must be starving..." he cmmented, taking a bite of his chicken wrap.
