"Um, y-yeah..."Encore shook herself. Why was she being such a wimp? Nocturne wasn't here and it wasn't as though Nikolai would do anything to her. Besides it was only water, cold clear water....the humanoid shivered. Thinking about it wasn't helping at all.

Encore froze up a little as she recalled that past event, and reluctantly nodded, not saying a thing. By now she had sidestepped away from the fountain, even though she wasn't even facing it any more. She just felt more comfortable being further away from the source of that horrible cold water.

Encore shook her head, "It's fine, I need to talk about it someday right?" Encore sighed as she let that one memory enter her mind. She began to speak, "You see, my father he sent me on a mission once, and I couldn't complete it. It was a task for fighters- I was built to be bulletproof and defend myself, not to fight. So I returned empty handed, and he was in the most terrible, terrible fury..." Encore drew a breath as she felt her face pale, in an almost sickening way, "...he said I was useless to him, and that if I couldn't complete a simple task then he'd have to get rid of me. So he grabbed me and pushed me into this tub, full of horrible cold w-water... and left me to freeze...the next t-thing I remember is w-waking up and ...he...he'd replaced me..." the humanoid hung her head, ignoring the strange burning sensation that had spread over her eyes, the horrible hot burning tears that ran down her face. It was humiliating for her to be seen so weak, and the leakage from her eyes wouldn't stop...wouldn't wouldn't stop!

Encore snuffled a little as she was gently patted,"I knew what he did was wrong but...he's my father, and Etude is my brother, what kind of monster would betray their own family? Was I even part of their family? Etude seemed fine without me and father well, I guess I was second best."Encore's breathing slowed, to that of more relaxed pace. Being with Nikolai was nice, it was almost...safe.

She hated to admit it, but he was right."I know, that's why I wanted Etude to come with me but...he doesn't want to. He deserves some freedom, he's so young." Encore shivered as she recalled the way she and her brother had had to fight. It had been frightening.

Encore nodded,"It's not surprising really, he has soliders after all..." Encore smiled suddenly and looked up at Nikolai, "...you know, I feel safe with you Nikolai. It's nice."

Encore seemed to enjoy the petting- somehow it was soothing. She smiled,"I don't know what I was supposed to be..." Nocturne had built her bulletproof, from titanium, yet sent her into battle armed with a staff? What did he expect her to do? She glanced at her hands- the skin on them had a vaguely super-real almost metallic sheen to it. Her gaze travelled to Nikolai, when she thought about it, he didn't look like her was around from here, and he had a funny voice..."Nikolai where are you from?"

+Caesura the innocent Assassin+ Caesura hovered as she appraoched the fountain, wings a flitting at a steady pace. Landing gently on the ground she scooped up some water and splashed it over her face, sighing. She was tired after all that blacksmithing...with a yawn she let herself perch on the edge of the fountain, eyes quietly glancing around, taking note of the peculiar looking man and girl also enjoying the fountains soothing aura.
