He gave a shrug when the man gave him a strange look then asked if he was his father. He figured his mother could fill him in. He just watched the man, taking in everything. This was his father, the man his mother always told him about. The way his mother talked to him led him to believe that amenisia was the issue. Good thing he prepared for every issue that could have been inflicted to the man.
"Not that that didn't stop him" He muttered, feeling irritated that his mother was talking about that....other child. He glowered at his mother, not believing she told him about that ...other child. He saw a piece of lightning arch in front of his face. He blushed and looked away from them, not believing he was acting like such a child. He didn't want to share his father.
"I came for coffee and a smoke." He said, knowing his mother was going to whack him for the last one. He wanted some reaction other then his mother irritation at his father.

As Onyx spoke Kamui blushed deeply. It was a rather embarrassing mistake. Looking at Kane he noted the small electric shock and the blush. "I'm sorry" Kamui grumbled softly as he nervously ran his fingers through his hair. "it must be a rather sore subject" he adds looking from the two of them. Then Kane spoke of coffee and a smoke, that sounded fantastic to Kamui by the statement left his head spinning. If he was asking for smokes how old must this boy before him truly be?! Or was Onyx just a very lenient mother? Shaking his head softly Kamui pushed out the second thought. No mother would or a child so small smoke he argued with himself, unless... "how old are you Kane?" Kamui asked softly.

Onyx stared at Kane before her left eyes twitched. Did he just, oh yes he did. She looked at Kamui before muttering.
"Old enough to know how to piss his mother off. Young enough to know that he still can't smoke without our permission." She reached out and whacked Kane's arm.
"Coffee yes, smokes, no. I told you I would skin you alive if you so much as pick one of those things up. Bad enough I let you drink coffee." She muttered.

"Yeah well it's not like he ever let anyone forget he was the first born" He muttered, glaring darkly at a near by tree, wanting nothing more then to make it burst into flame. But he knew his mother would go after him. He smile when he was asked how old he was. An opening.
"Well technically if we go by my birthday, I am 315 years old" He said with a grin before his mom whacked him. He sniffed and shrugged a bit.
"Okay, maybe due to a time travel accident, I am really only 15. Yeah but dad's here so that means I have another person to go to should I want to do something" He stuck his tongue out at his mother.

Kamui pushed the small box of cigarettes further into his pocket. Point noted, the child didnt get smokes. He nodded simply to himself. He watched the slight banter between the two and smiled. It was sad that the boy had missed so much but then again Kamui had no idea how old HE was supposed to be! Maybe it was best the boy skipped so much time, atleast he didnt have to go 300 years without a father. Laughing softly he shook his head at Kane. "Im not that dumb... ill just use the go ask your mom line for everything then" he chuckled.

Onyx eye twitched again when Kane went off about he had another person to ask, but before she could say anything Kamui beat her to it. She gave Kane a look of triumph.
"That, dear boy, is called a Win." She said with a laugh. They walked into the manor. She made a pot of coffee, with a hum.
"Kai suggested that we remain here for a while, that way Aryehe and Kane are still close together. It will also give us a chance to figure out what is going to happen with the country as a whole" She said with a hum, her eyes watched Kamui for a moment, taking him in. She felt her heart beat a little faster. Damn man, she thought affectionately.

"Lame! So Lame!!" He exclaimed. He grumbled. Fuuuucccckkkkkk. He wanted to pout, but that wouldn't be very manly.
"So not fair." He said as he walked in to the manner. He grabbed a mug before he paused and looked at Kamui. His mother always said he got the whole coffee drinking thing from his father. He pulled down another mug. He set them down before he stood beside Kamui. He just stood there, pretending like there was nothing special about it.

Kamui followed the two into the manor. They got to the kitchen and he leaned onto the counter. When Kane put a coffee cup before him he smiled softly. "Thank you" he said simply. He bit his lip for a moment. This was a rather awkward situation. Kamui had no idea what to do with children, but Kane was old enough to not need to coddle him but still not old enough that Kamui knew what to do with him. He ran his fingers through his hair as he looked to Onyx then back to Kane. "So...." he caughed, "What do you do for fun?" he asked softly as his cheeks flared a deep red.

Onyx poured the coffee into the cups before she shook her head when she noticed how Kamui's cheeks were red.
"Kane, I believe that question is one you should answer, because mine is very...very inappropriate for your child-like ears" She said coughing a bit as she looked off to one side. She could only image all sorts of dirty things. She coughed a bit as she walked off to set the pot down. She made herself a cup of tea.

Kane chocked on his coffee when his mother spoke
"what the hell mother?!? Really? You couldn't just remain silent with that last piece. My brain, my poor brain." He bemoaned before he looked at Kamui.
"Well, I like to practice shoot, hand to hand combat, learning about things and hearing stories about you and Uncle Kai." He said the last part more silently.

Kamui's color managed to deepen as Onyx spoke. Was she always like that? His hand covered his face as he put his head down. He wondered if she was always that open before trying to just focus on Kane's last statement. Nodding at the boy's words he smiled simply. Taking the coffee cup in his hand he took a slow sip, happy for the drinks warmth. "Do you go to school?" He wondered tilting his head softly. Kamui had seen what poor shapes the schools were in lately. They were running wild with the children he looked after and many other parentless children with nothing to do but cause problems.

"Ugh, no. I went for about a year, but when the pace was shown to be too slow, I, as well as Aryehe and Lillith decided to continue with our tutors. But" He said anxiously. "I did go for a year like mother told me too. It just wasn't....fast enough and the information was kinda lacking. I would ask questions and they wouldn't know the answer." He looked at his mother, almost afraid that he had said the wrong thing.
"I can always go back if you think it would be better." He said looking down at his coffee.

Kamui nodded, he couldnt help but feel a bit proud of his son advancing nicely in school. Smirking he thought about any child of Kai's in school. When Kane spoke of going back Kamui just blinked. "Oh thats your choice. I only ask to know about school because I never got to go..." His eyes seemed to glaze over as he slowly sat up straight. "But..." He closed his eyes and shook his head. "I dont think I ever went to a school... did I?" This time he was asking Onyx.

Onyx smiled softly when Kamui easily soothed Kane's fear. Natural father, aren't you Kamui? She thought to herself. She looked over at Kamui when he asked about his own schooling. She shook her head, her eyes growing dark for a moment.
"No, you were home schooled as well" She said in a plain tone. She maintained her cool because she remember vividly when Kamui told her what had happened to him. She pray that niether of the brother would ever remember that part of their lives.

Kane let out a small whoop of joy. He was glad to know that he had some support with the fact that he was actually being taught by tutors instead of some half brained idiot with a teaching credential that looked like it came off the back of a cereal box.
"So I am just following in your footsteps. Sweet." He said with glee in his tone.
