"You guys want to go too?" Taryn asked, leaning in to look at Alex and Yin. She had seen the perform in class, and both had seemed pretty stable, even under the effects of whatever that had been going around during Scarentine's. "We should form a group. The four of us... I dunno, maybe someone else? What year are you all?"
She knew Mort alright, but she barely knew Yin and Alex.

El Greco would have died from hunger. He would have died so many other ways. Thankfully, he’s a ghost and a hermit. He had inadvertently entombed himself in his dorm room, a labyrinth with walls of his hoard. He added to his collection, as he painted portraits, and developed pictures in his little dark room. He has missed so many things outside his room, which included classes. If it wasn’t for the announcement on the Ickycom- which was muffled by a wall of paintings- he may have been hidden there indefinitely. Being a slimer does have its other perks. With his innate skill to shapeshift, any signs of fatigue or ragged clues of being a hermit were none to be found no him. He was as new as the time he had come to school, too bad his knowledge of the world around him were at the same level. Maybe it was luck, or bad luck, that he’s missed disasters and celebrations. Time moved differently with this one. The others look different… older? He thought to himself as he sat from his seat, wondering who he should join with in the upcoming trials. He found familiar faces, though, always curious about the rest of the school, his eyes rifled through the new ones. It made contact with a blonde ghoul. A pirate? Interesting.

It was kind of nice, sitting back by himself and just listening to the gossip and conversations going around him, his eyes sweeping around every so often to take in everything as they waited for what come may. Sliding down in his chair a little, his tail thumped on the ground idly in time with a tune that was on the edge of his lips, making mental notes of those who had made pacts between them when the audio interference screeched through the room, making the cat jump a little suddenly, nearly jettisoning him out of his chair - before red faced he sat back down, trying to take all the information in that Arel was spitting out so quickly, his ears ringing a little.
Scratching his chin, he set the chair straighter as the information was given - another trial where some of his co-students would go up against challenges and clues put toward them - it sounded easy enough - but he knew how things were run here, and it usually meant something to do with painfully getting around things that were set up to be the death of you - and how. Jack knew he wasn’t going to go for it, and giving a light snort, he shrugged the idea off, watching as the other students already started to pull together factions and groups - brave young souls wanting to take on the world. . . And probably to forgo the school’s exam options, a good plus, he supposed.
As he went to get up and leave to find out when sign ups were ended and the even was to start, a wisp of a girl caught his attention, and with ears pricked high, he danced between chairs until he was basically looming over her, green eyes smiling as he looked down from behind the chair, tail wriggling softly, content to find someone he could relate to.
“Tomoko, I didn’t expect you to be here, a pleasure to see you, my little friend.” He started, his smile not leaving his face, even as she frowned forward, a bit of anxiety and sadness showing on her face, which made him stop for a moment. “Are you interested in the trials, and . . . Maybe giving this boil someone to go with - I could use the time out of my dorm and classes, how about you?”
It was a fair shot, and they wouldn’t be alone while watching whatever horrors the participants were going to throw themselves in to for the name of honour.

Tomoko heard a familiar voice as she had gotten up to leave, ears perking up as she turned to face Jack, a bright smile on her face. "Jack!" she greeted, stepping out of the walkway to keep from blocking the paths of anybody else trying to leave with her six tails. They were pesky, in that way. But it was no big matter, really. She was just there to try and find out what was going on.
"I am not interested in participating in them, no. They seem like they will be difficult and I am not ready to try such things. Maybe some other time, though, if they do them again." she answered, before addressing the invitation he extended. "So I will go watch and support Junko-chan and Jove-kun and everybody else. I would love to join you, Jack!" She needed to get him an honorific sometime if it didn't seem so... strange to use one with him for some reason.
Jack was plenty. It fit in nicely with her group of J-named friends.
"Plus I imagine it will be good to see what it is the Horsemen do. I think many students are both confused and curious of them."

"Hmm.. No good." Circe said, puffing up her cheeks slightly as she scanned the students remaining in the room. Most of them had already teamed up and were trying to figure out what to do next. Though she was sure that most of the students who didn't have groups had probably already left to their dorm rooms to think about whether or not they were actually going to try in this trial or not.
Not willing to give up though she continued to scan the room until her black eyes finally rested on a boil sitting on one of the benches not to far from her. He was most certainly alone and... looking at her! Excitement surged through her limbs as she scrambled over to him as quickly as she could, mentally willing him to not already be in a group and willing to team up with her.
When she finally reached him she plopped down beside him and smiled. "My name's Circe. Circe Livonia!" She said, pure joy and anticipation dancing through her words. "Are you planning on doing the trials?" Circe asked as she crossed her fingers against her thigh opposite of him. Okay, so she wasn't sparring another moment to someone to swoop in and nab him. Poor boil knew nothing of what he was potentially throwing himself into.

He glared at her eyes, they come in many shapes and sizes, but for a few seconds, he was enthralled by its color; very much so, that his own green eyes involuntarily shimmered black for a minute or two. He would have copied her face too if he wasn’t distracted by the intent that was showing. He snapped out of it as she approached. Out of habit, he turned his head and looked away. He has gotten in way too many problems from his staring. He would have moved out of his place, but he was stuck between the masses of collapsing students who were forming groups. He scanned them, looking for a friendly face to save them from the ghoul. But she was quick. Too late. Too late!“Uh hi-“ The ghost barely spoke out as she introduced herself and her goals with purpose, it was overbearing. “Yes.” He gasped, hoping to interrupt her presence. “I am thinking about it, and I’m El Greco.” He stuck a hand out towards her, which shimmered green with soft slime, but grew elastic as it shaped skin and clothes. “Nice to meet you.”

Now most people could multitask and remember every question asked of them to an extent, and from there be able to make a statement about each one way or the other. Mort, however, got stuck on Whisp's rather personal question, and mentally sputtered. Severely mentally sputtered. It was going to take him a while to recover speaking faculties, but he was not given that time -
- because then Natalia strutted on the scene and stole away his first kiss on the lips, platonic or not.
From there, the best way to describe the zomboil's mental process would be to compare it to a gigantic ********. Groups, thoughts, feelings, all of them entangled and bouncing and gliding and exploding and wat is even going on here, why aren't they naked, what group should he go to, way do wat do -
To the others watching, it appeared that shortly after the were lemur had given him a kiss, Mortimer suffered a full-body spasm courtesy of his brain shocking him, and he was currently staring out forwards dreamily. His mouth was also just a leeeeeetle open, as much as the stitches would allow.
To say he was out of it would be putting it lightly.

Circe looked at the ghostly boil for a minute before looking down at his extended hand that went from slime to elastic? Her eyes grew larger as she took his hand and shook it, then letting go. Her black eyes swiftly went to his green one's as a large grin appeared on her mouth. "El Greco you are amazing!" She exclaimed.
And then it hit her. She was being a total derp as usual. Quickly Circe gathered herself and lightened her smile a bit. "Nice to meet you too El Greco. Do you have a nickname?" Her head tilted slightly as she tried to think of a possible nickname for him on the spot.
"Would you like to join my team?" Circe asked, clasping her hands together in a pleading gesture though her facial expression showed no signs that she was indeed desperate enough to beg. Yet.

Well then, that went all kinds of places quite fast! Taryn was being very polite when the ghouls arrived, especially considering she was speaking mostly to Yin and Alex, but then things happened. The slightly offended ghoul tugged on Mort's shirt, and then just outright grabbed his upper arm and stood, trying to pull her with him.
"Come on, Mort. We need to plan for the trials!" He had been asked if he wanted to partake, and hadn't answered. Silence wasn't a 'no', so she was going to consider him a teammate until otherwise discussed.

"There is apparently going to be a set of trials happening. We are allowed to participate in groups...but I don't think Luminous Flux is going to get a reprise..." Whisper sighed and watched as the ghoul tugged on Mortimer. "Hey...I'm really sorry for interrupting. I can get a little carried away sometimes and forget about manners. Its another one of those things I am trying to work on."
Wisp gave a nervously kind smile and returned to her ghoulfriend. How she wished she could always be attached at the hip to her wondrous werelemur, but that just wasn't possible. She would just have to settle for little kisses and cuddles when she could get them."Do you have any ideas for a group? I know I want to do this, but I' not sure about being the leader. Maybe we should ask around?" She let her body go limp in defeat as she slid down the chair. Really, she wouldn't be in this predicament if she had actually been more social at school. She could literally count her friends on her hands, and most of them were more so acquaintances. Man, being a stalker sure did teach her. But she had Natalia, who was a social butterfly. Hopefully she could think of some boils and ghouls to ask. "Maybe there will be postings around the school for other people searching for group mates..."

Alex decided to answer Taryn for the both of them, since Yin was...having some kind of issues currently. Possibly from something going on with a ghoul near them...who really knew. "We're both Year One's right now, but Mort is a Year Two and...you are as well, yes?" Alex's brow furrowed, as he actually wasn't sure what Year Taryn was in, but had assumed two for whatever reason. "It could make a good mix for the trials." He finished, though unsure if she would agree. Suddenly somebody new arrived. She was...quite something to look at, actually. A lot of..curves, yes. Alex couldn't help but stare as the ghoul first kissed Mort lightly then went for it with the ghoul that had also been chatting with Mort. Like really went for it. His mouth might have been gaping a little bit. His attention was grabbed by his bonded, however, and Alex quickly looked away from the scene in front of him, bringing a hand up to rub through his hair in embarrassment. He looked at Yin, seeing that yes, indeed, the weremantis seemed upset. Had he seen Alex staring at the ghouls kissing in front of them? He wasn't chastising Alex for doing so, so possibly not. "Um, yes, if you want to..." Alex began to rise out of his chair, around the same time that Taryn was grabbing ahold of Morts arm. Mort, who had.....possibly short circuited (Alex knew exactly what that was like, the same had happened to him with Michi kissed him for the first time). "Hey Taryn, let's meet up outside to talk about it and..bring Mort if you can get him out of here?" He might have grinned a little bit, then turned towards Yin and nodded, indicating that he was ready to go and they could leave now. He gave the two newer arrivals a friendly smile and a wave as well as they made their way out.

Alexander probably could have said that Yin was a fifth year for all the mantodae cared at that moment. While the zomboil did not look disgusted at the display, he did seem somewhat embarrassed by it, and that was enough for the weremantis. None of that. None of those blatant physical displays of affection that were practically vulgar and just...no. That was not acceptable behavior. And Miss Taryn? She had the right idea as she grabbed Mort and tried to get him to leave. Alexander had actually agreed to go as well when he had nodded to him, and while he might have been bringing up his hand to wave at the ghouls Yin really did not care at that point. He grabbed the zomboil's other hand and all but pulled him out of the auditorium. They could talk outside. Outside away from the exhibitions of affection. All Mort's bitches Exiting~ Dragging Alex along like a freaked out mantodae a boss.

Oh joy!He hasn’t met anyone yet who has verbally praised him for what he was. Usually, he was the one who would praise others. It did feel odd not being the one who found the other interesting. For a second, he was wary, but discarded the thoughts quickly. Perhaps it was time he found proper friends around the campus- besides the portraits he often talks to, or the pets he usually loses. “Some call me Elle.” When he wasn’t fixated with pictures, sometimes he wondered why no one called him by his second name, Greco. “How about you?” “Oh and yes,” he answered, “hopefully, I can actually do something this time.” He did pass the exams to help establish the school’s credibility earlier in the year. But since it was a lone test of knowledge, none of the other students probably knew his contributions. He was starting to like being praised, and he didn't want it to stop.

Levi didn't actually own an eyePhone, but obviously Xiu's message would be sent somewhere. Funny enough, the tatzel ghoul did attend the assembly, but was rather late for it. So- rather than specifically searching out familiar faces, she sat in the back in the first available seat. Which happened to be the seat Xiu saved. Score. Rather than addressing the baku or spider demoness, Levi smiled and nodded as though she had no idea Xiu had indeed intended for that seat to be hers, listening to those on stage. Listening to the secretary and then the clan leader made the ghoul excited; these were challenges. It was completely within Levi's interest to join this trial business merely for the fact that it was a challenge offered to her. Or rather, it was a challenge offered to them all and they would join in groups to become a part of the tournament. With the last words being spoken, Levi's eyes shifted downward to what was bright and somewhat in front of her. West. Whatever had happened, if it happened (which it didn't. nope), it stayed on Scarentines. The tatzel had no reason to bring up what might or might not have occurred; best to act as though it hadn't. For all she knew it was all just dream, right? Right. She had gotten the Vampire Teddy all on her own. Kaiyumi And so Xiu was actually texting someone else. Guess who OvO Apparently the number Levi gave Xiu during the effect was not her own. ((ps. ilu >w< ty so much for pinging me on this! <3333 )) Smerdle Enjoy your random text, West OvO

Aleria whimpered as drool got all over their nice clothes, but there was no better way, unless they felt like ripping off the poor creature's tongue.
Which they had no moral quandary with, make no mistake, but...
They were awfully friendly.
"Thank you anyway, my friend," Aleria told Ren, giving a half smile to G. These clothes had been new-! "Fixed indeed, good fellow."
They opened their mouth to speak, but were drowned out by the announcements. How peculiar. What a first day! Aleria didn't know anything beyond what they'd arrived with; they were sure they would not be participating in the slightest.
The messages from Thackery reassured Ash, as well as a few concerns still lurking in his mind. He was twitchy, still, clenching his fists every now and again. He was not soothed by the text that was close to gibberish, with Them rising in ire-- to be quelled by an emoticon heart.
Ash pressed a kiss to his boilfriend's cheek in return, then his temple. For a moment, all he did was listen to the pounding heart of the demon. It was his.
He stared at King, growing a little in the back of his throat, grip protective.
"We shall be participating," Ash finally said with a slow nod of his helm. He was sure they would be able to succeed. Perhaps they could recruit that...dragon that they rode before, during Christmas. (So awful, this whole, terrible thing had begun shortly after it was done, and they were not convince they were unrelated).
The other had not been a threat. Ash had known him, albeit briefly, and had been aided by him in battle.
This stranger knew his Thackery, HIS THACKERY, and deigned to speak to him--, which set the reaper on edge.
