 ~Silvir~ He watched her and listened to her as she walked along the wall running her hand along it. " There are many advantages...I tend to spoil my pets for one thing. I'm kind to them as well... I never make them do hard labor... occasionally I will bring them sexual pleasure but that is only if they are comfortable with it, I do not like pushing them into things they do not want or are not ready for... I can be very sweet unless my temper rises. Which is a rare thing." She had paused and looked down at the ground giving it some considerable thought. He looked back up at her and she said, " So what do you think? Would you like to be my pet?" He stared at her for a bit and replied, " Yes, I will be your pet. It sounds like a lot more advantageous than being alone..." He looked down at the ground for a bit then back up at her.

Sure, she knew there were a few nicer ones, and Drake had apparently ended up in one of them, but so many kept their 'wares' in such poor living conditions. Even if that was not the case she still would not have approved of such places though.
Next she went about washing the vegetables so they could be cut, a soft chuckle escaping her throat at his inquiry. With a nod of her head, Ambrosia began to answer him. "I do and I am. My parents are very wealthy, they're nobles in fact, and I was their only child. I was their little princess, and for the first fourteen years of my life it was wonderful." Ambrosia shrugged slightly. He had not asked for that much information, it had just sort of come out. If he wished to know more then she would tell him though.

Dʀακɛ ► "Fourteen years," Drake's smile dropped. His mistress looked older then fourteen. He stroked his chin, "so something happened to them, you left, or they kicked you out." He listed all the possibilities that came to mind with out really thinking about what he was saying. After watching her chop up the vegetables, he clasped his had over his mouth. "si mi bivai. I'm sorry." The dragon cast his eyes down a little upset with what he said and hoped he didn't sound bad or anything.Ihk wux re crunchy...

She was, older than she appeared to be, though she had not been around as long as her sister Amaranthe. Again, she nodded when he spoke to confirm the male's thoughts. She chuckled again when he apologized, a light-hearted sound and shook her head. "You need not apologize Drake, I don't mind your curiosity. Yes, something happened. I had to grow up. I was old enough to start playing their games, and so, my parents taught me. The still loved me, that much had never been a lie, but-" The woman shrugged her shoulders slightly. "Everything had changed."
"Court games, they're never pleasant. They weren't for me anyway. Even when you're winning, that's when it became more dangerous. No matter how much I wanted, I couldn't just leave though. Not on my own anyway. Later, I met Amaranthe and Amirah. We became fast friends. They may not be related to me by blood, but they are my sisters, my family. Now and forever. We all ran away together, and then we found this castle. A place we could call home, one where no one else could tell us how to act, who to be, or whom we had to marry." Even as she spoke, the woman kept moving around the kitchen; adding noodles into the pot and stirring them then moving the vegetables onto a plate so that she could could cut the chicken.

Dʀακɛ ► "I see." He simply nodded his head. He had liked her when he first met her, but now that she shared her background with him, he admired her. He knew how hard it is to get out of a situation, he understood what it was like to be locked up, and he admired how she handled it. The dragon was a bit jealous. His mistress was and is very luck. If he had ran away he would have been killed. Drake smiled faintly.► His eyes watched her movement and how she kept moving. To him it was like watching her move forward and leave the past behind. He folded his arms and said quietly, "you are lucky." He would willing share his story as well but be a little reluctant. Drake felt like he was stuck in a rut. His mind would always wonder back to the pass making him rather depressed. This is why he tried to keep himself busy, and reason for his little addiction to technology. Ihk wux re crunchy...

I'm fed up with not being good enough. I'm fed up of being ugly. Fed up of being unwanted. Fed up of being alone.

_______________________________ Masika found herself in the kitchen which put a small smile on her face. She was hungry as usual and its sometimes unbearable trying to feed two stomachs. Hiding herself in the shadows she peeked in. The woman she agreed to sell herself to Masika remembered her name to be something like Ambrosia. Not only wondering what it would be like to be a slave. Then beginning to think what her Master would be like if she even got one in the first place. A blush crept up on the snake girls mint green skin. Masika's face almost looked like it was decorated for Christmas with the reds and greens.
Taking a deep breath Masika came in looking tall and proud. With a sly look in her eye as if she had a plan. All of this wasn't true except for the tall part. Masika is six feet tall despite the fact that the rest of her body sits or slithers on the floor most of the time. Her height was another off setting detail that wasn't to her favor in getting someone to own her. Not that she minded too much her height had always been something she reveled in.
Despite it being in her nature Masika wasn't going to make a scene. A place as fine as this with slaves and masters must be heavily staffed she thought. That idea also came to mind after last night getting a bit of a feel for the place. Although Masika was powerful she wasn't in the mood for physical fighting. So instead she looked to her left tapping her fingers on the marble counter top of a table. She sat down still keeping to her tapping. In some places just by slithering in she could get a meal and a private table within a blink. She frowned looking back and thinking that those days were over.  _______________________________

You fail when you don't try" Ж Ambrosia smiled warmly at her pet as she went about her cooking. To her, the past was the past. She couldn't change it, nor did she want to. It was what made Ambrosia who she was and allowed her to meet the women she now called sisters. The Head-Mistress gave a slight nod of her head at his words. Ambrosia knew she was lucky, and in more ways than one. Among other things, she had found two wonderful women to call family, had been able to escape a life she hated and had a place to call home were she could be herself.
While she waited for the noodles to cook the woman went to one of the cupboards and retrieved a plate for each of them. Placing both dishes on the table for them, the female then went to get silverware and glasses for them. Ambrosia spoke to her pet once more as she set about completing these tasks. "What about you Drake? What has your life been like?" The woman inquired, adding after a short pause. "You don't have to tell me if you are not comfortable doing so though."

He wasn't sure where to begin his tale. I did happen a very long time ago.► Drake took a deep breath, "I was about 50 human-years-old, which is very young for a dragon, when my mother and father left me. Because they left me the clan was quick to abandon me." He clenched hands up into a fist. The dragon's wounds were still open after all those years. "Shortly after that, the hunters came... not just normal hunters, the ones that are specifically looking for pets to sell to those shops. The captured me and sold me. The first shop I was in was relativity nice. During the times when the pet idea was new and people were looking for a pet, the shops where kind. I was treated like a pet. I was given food and water and clothes. Children that came into the shop always wanted to play with me. But I was never bought. After a couple years or so, I was sent to another shop. But again, I was not bought."► "It had to be about 10 years and 4 different stores later... I finally ran into another dragon. I had someone I could talk to, since I could not speak common. The dragon told me that was one reason why no one would buy me. He spent the boring hours of the day teaching me how to speak common. But as soon as I learnt it, people stopped looking at me. So again another shop." He paused, hoping he wasn't making his story too long, "I've lost count of how many shops I've been in and out of. I've been in nice shops and in the worst shop you can image and lower. Eventually, I was put in a shop when technology began becoming mainstream. The owner was kind enough to let all the pets out of the cage during the day time and I spent a lot of my time around the computer. One day it broke and I managed to fix it for him. I was at the shop for the longest time. I was fixing the computers and any piece of technology that came it. The owner took a liking to me and I became his pet... so to speak. But, dragons live much longer then humans. Recently the owner died... and his son shipped me here."► He rubbed the back of his neck, "of course, I've been in these shops for a span of 800 years. I'm only 850." Drake started setting the table with the plates and silverware Ambrosia had set down. He grabbed two napkins and folded them, "The last owner I met when he was 20. He was the kindest." He placed one folded napkin on the table and put a fork on top. He set the plate to the right of that. He took the knife and pointed the sharp edge near the plate and laid the spoon next to it. "It's a very long story anyway... I'm sorry. I don't think I cut enough details out." He chuckled as he set up the other plate the same way.Ihk wux re crunchy...

You fail when you don't try" Ж After retrieving the glasses and setting them upon the table Ambrosia returned to her original task, cooking their food. She set a strainer in the sink and poured the contents of the pot which she had used to cook the noodles into it. Even as she did this the woman was listening to her pet, a frown deepening across her features as he spoke. Once the noodles were drained Ambrosia left the to cool for a little bit and went to slice the chicken breast into bite-size pieces.
The Head-Mistress then placed the pot she she had used for the noodles back on the stove and tossed the chicken into it. She cooked the meat halfway before pouring it into a bowl and dumping the vegetables into it. Once those started to become tender she added the noodles, then the chicken, and seasoned it as well. She flipped the knob which controlled the flame to shut it off, a soft sigh escaping her lips. He'd been a slave for eight hundred years? Yet, so much of that time he had spent just sitting around in shops.
The woman shook her head at Drake and turned to him with a smile. "There is no need to apologize Drake, I really don't mind that it was long. I can't believe your parents would just abandon you." Ambrosia said as she wrapped her arms around him in a hug. "I don't know what I would do if my own had abandoned me.." Even if she hadn't had the best parents, they had still taken care of her. For a while anyway. "I am glad you came here though."

"I know it's not Drake, that does not change how I feel though. I promise that I will do my best to give you a happy life here, my pet." The woman smiled warmly at him as these words left her lips. She was sincere in making that promise, for so long as he chose to remain she would make him feel as though this place was his home.
