He had barely had time to respond, to take in the first hints of what the jack was happening. It was like a nitemare unfold. He watched horrified as the monster emerged, as it spoke, and then... Keys? WHAT THE JACKING HELL?! It all seemed to happen at once, the bird in his face, the dragon charging at him, the ghoul clawing at him, was that Riley on the other dragon's back? Arrgg! What the hell was she throwing at him?! Damn that hurt! "What the Jack is wrong with you?!" Sheridan roared at them, quickly powering himself into the air and away from the attackers. What the--wait, they were being controlled? His eyes narrowed, turning toward the monster in the fog (though he did not dare turn entirely away from the attacking students). He wasn't strong enough to take on that monster himself, but maybe if he could at least distract it, maybe he could break its hold. " Petro! We have to stop that thing, it's controlling them!" He indicated toward the fog as he circled through the air toward Petro on his path toward the fog monster. If Petro wished he could have lept onto Sheridan's back and been carried toward the boss with him. He hoped that Petro would join him, that together they would strike at the monster and escape from the attackers below. But if he could not, then he hoped to lure the other students away from his friend. And maybe, just maybe, he could lure them into attacking the monster as well. As he flew, not daring to slow his path whatever action Petro took, his jaws opened, unleashing a blast of frozen plasma in the monster's direction. My HP: 26/30 My Status: HOLY F-ING JACK! They say that a reaper is pretty much useless without their weapon - Malcolm liked to believe that that was not entirely true, but it held some truth... Especially the fact that reapers do need their weapon (or familiar) to perform spells. Perhaps that was way he appeared at the scene with his staff out, the hollow eye sockets of the saber tooth skull atop the staff glowing blue.
"COME ON," He yelled, slamming the base of his staff into the snow, hitting the hard, impenetrable ground below, "You're not in Amity for nothing." As the glow in the skull's eyes intensified, he lifted it up and pointed it at the giant flying skeleton - the trouble maker Aymet from his first class - sending what looked like a beam of light towards him...
No Malcolm is not a magical girl and Vlad is not his magical familiar.
Meanwhile, an angry looking ghost had appeared on the scene, the edge of his tattered cloak fading into nothing. He looked around at the chaos and fighting, before laughing loudly, "AWESOME. YEAH, LET'S JACK IT UP A BIT!"
Instantly, you just feel better. You also feel like punching all the things.

All that Demi/Phos could hope for now, was that Mei was somewhere safe. That plan to go find her with Bul had to be pushed aside when the sky above began to darken further and darken at area around them. "Think its too late to do that Bool." he said softly with a quiver in his voice at the sensation of imminent danger on is way. And it made itself known as hands formed above them, with keys in the sky as well. OAO SHINY KEYS. The pup wanted nothing more than to grab one as he leapt to grasp it, and watched as it vanished and sent him back down into the ground. What he didn't miss seeing from his new spot on the floor was the other keys stabbing themselves into a few of the fellow students present, some that he knew quite well to boot, than began to emanate a red aura from their suddenly irate bodies. And Riley throwing a bomb bird at poor Sheridan. .__. "You're right Bul, that thing up there needs to get its hands tied down." Damien mentioned gruffly, Melas already taking the helm of the conscious. Not long after the Demon dog shifted into a more fuzzy form, probably to Bul's delight at a mount he could ride around on and still feel warm. Said mount was too busy kicking rocks at the figure in the sky. Rocks that did nothing but phase right through it. "GET DOWN HERE SO I CAN KICK YOU IN THE TAINT!" It was not going to get away for starting up the music again. "Nice to meet you, Mort. And I'm doing all right. There were a couple other students in the cafeteria, we wailed on that big goopy thing for a while to stop it sending out more things like those little things that attacked us in the snow. It actually didn't fight back at all." Mitzi paused for a moment, and then... what the hell, she was already burned, covered in glitter, had reeking pudding goo on her boots and weapon, and had been oozed on earlier when carrying Alex and never gotten a chance to properly clean up. She spontaneously gave the zomboil a quick, friendly hug because you know? He really looked like he could use it. She had just stepped back, now feeling a bit awkward and self-conscious, when the fog above them started to coalesce into recognizable shapes. And then, something she'd picked up from the hall in the Reaper dorm darted out of her pocket and into the air above her. That odd key from before... suddenly slammed into her, and she stumbled backwards a step, before righting again. Standing straight. Staring at Alex. And something in her eyes made it clear that she was no longer there at all. Her weapon already summoned, she stepped forward, swinging it at the zomboil. She was lucky that whatever had led her to be practically useless all day managed to hold, as she missed the zomboil, the blade slicing the snow beside him instead. “What is that?” she asked, her eyes fixated on the glowing keys in the sky. A fog had gathered around them and by the time the frost demon turned to see if Moure was still there, the lack of visibility dominated and the undead was no where to be seen. Just when had they let go of their hands?
“Moure? Moure? Are you there?” the ghoul called out in the fog, her voice teetering on the edge of panic. No, no, calm down... they aren't here – these anomalies and fiends are from Christmas Town. Edel was so close to pushing the panic button, but what was stopping her was the fact that she couldn't quite take the Christmas Town creatures too seriously... and snow instead of Autumn wasn't too much of a hardship for her. It wasn't that her alliance was shifting (ok maybe a little), but this...
The ghoul was about to cry out for the patchwork again when the Key slammed into her, causing her to stop abruptly and look down at herself. She was glowing red. What on Halloween- Edel's hands twitched involuntarily and sent three ice blades flying at Demi.
“Sorry! I-” the rest of it was lost in the confusion.

"Well Jack," Roch said with a snarl. He saw students attacking students, but that wasn't his main goal. With his guitar he had decent range for an attack, and he was damn well going to use it.
"You're goin' DOWN you massive jacker!" he bellowed at the creature in the sky. "Blame it on the jackin' TEDDY SCARE!" Then he slipped the strap of his guitar over his shoulder and let loose his A chord.

It seemed that one minute everyone was huddling up, some students in their ginormous natural forms, and the next, everything had exploded into chaos. There were keys ramming into chests, talking crazies in the sky, students attacking other students, sloth demons and kelpies hugging, it was almost too much for West to take in at once.
There was only one thing that could take his mind off of the confusion of his surroundings. A beatdown.
West ran forward, his wings suddenly visible, and jumped into the air, hoping there was something he could actually hit once he reached the mocking smile in the sky.

Barth was sleepily cuddling with Calder as key tugged itself free of him and began to glow an evil red.
It pushed back inside him with a crackle.
He, and the thorns underneath the slay, began to glow. The vines boiled. Then, all at once, they whipped around like octopus arms, wrapping around Amrita and throwing her violently free of the slay. Some oozed, some snapped, some withered, but they all shrunk back to gather underneath the slay and grow, push, lift, until the whole thing hovered mid-air like a menacing spider.

The tikbalang waited for Sheridan to lower himself closer to the ground before signaling he was going to be hitching a ride. While Aymet was offering the opportunity, Tro seemed more inclined to ride with his friend.

((**Received permission from Toshi to do this.)) Calder was warm and cozy, the threat of any appearing danger still present, but lost in the warm embrace of the sloth hugging him. Up close, Barth was JUST TOO CUTE!
And then he felt something strange, and his soft smile to his boilfriend twisted into a wicked grin. It was then that Christof raced to him, signing for him to protect his master. The kelpie nodded, before turning to see the demon use it's thorns to throw Amrita off the sled. This barely resisted any sort of emotion from the kelpie, who instead reached out, gripped the demon's face, and smiled wide. His eyes ignited with a white mist as they lost all color. "Like this?" He asked to no one, and threw the demon's head back to collide against the side of the sled. Yeah, that's how you properly protected someone. Calder was sure the demon, tender from lack of work, would be very delicious.  My HP: 26.5 + 5 = 31.5 My Status: Controlled! Levi was nudged in the hip by a familiar pair of Legs, whom she bumped back accordingly (this is how hips greeted?) before the baku joined her. She looked warm enough - good. Screechea- Her greeting to Xiu was cut short by noticing the rainbow red and a few other draconic kin and she stood paralyzed. Never could she have seen them all in one place back home. So many ... critters as well. Jericho and Sheridan were recognizable in these forms (though were all reds actually rainbow colored or was it just him? Odd) but most she wasn't familiar with. At least their changing was proof they were of Halloween and not Christmas Town? Levi herself thought of removing her pin right then to join them, but before that choice could be made, a whining Demi happened. Her brows went up in surprise at the hell hound's personality change. He certainly seemed softer somehow... hmmm. Then s**t went down. Keys and Students attacking students after the big blues in the sky spoke. XIU- Levi's first reaction to Xiu being attacked was to give Riyo a BACK OFF swipe of the tail, but... this wasn't Riyo like that wasn't Red, so she held off. The tatzel needed to think more carefully about attacking someone she knew versus the big ominous thing in the sky. Ya gott'a fight it, Riyo! Don't let it win! She'd become +1 wiser from the Red fight, at least. Somewhere in there, Riyo was still Riyo, she reasoned. She was at war with herself. Noting the students taking to riding one of the dragons, Levi looked to Xiu, then to the skeletal dragon, then to Xiu again, quickly acting as soon as she could. Picking up Xiu and her cargo critter- Time ta fly! - Levi bounded over and onto the skeletal dragon, resting Xiu down when the coast was clear. Sorry Xiu, couldn't leave ya'on tha ground if that's what we're dealing' with too. Fighting students and the bright blues... it was better this way. They wouldn't have to hurt anyone they knew just yet. The appearance of Malcolm and the familiar raised Levi's adrenaline; they were not alone. The Teachers and even ToTers were here too; it was a comforting feeling as well, allowing her to even more freely give it her all. When close enough, Levi gathered that feeling she had in the gym that day, FEAR rising out through her, striking the opponent with outreached claws. My HP: 22 + 5= 27/40

Like Professor Malcolm and Trick or Treater Rage-tan, the chaos had attracted another seasonal Amityville visitor. They did nothing for now however, simply watching from their small ledge, waiting for the right opportunity to present itself, as always.

Amrita had been stunned; the cold from the snow and the lack of anything warmer than the tanktop and thin pants she wore had taken their toll. Her limbs were hard to move, frozen from the cold. When the battle started she was trying to get back in control of the frozen corpse, but to no avail.
"AH! WHA---" Suddenly, Barth's thorns bit into her frozen rainbow skin and before she knew it she was thrown from the sled, landing hard on the ground. For a moment or two her world went black as her head cracked on something; she wasn't sure how long she had laid there, but it couldn't have been long. Things still seemed the same sort of chaos which...was actually a good thing.
"Nnngh..." She whimpered, the rainbow ghoul slowly sitting up, rubbing the back of her head with stiff fingers. "Candle JACK!" This wasn't fair! That thing in the sky was responsible, and there was no way she could get up there.
Though she did consider going after the sled and smacking Barth.

Suddenly chaos had erupted. Students were attacking one another due to those strange red keys. The creature up in the sky was behind all of this, so he could assume that defeating it would release his peers from its grip. However, he wasn't entirely certain how to reach it. Unlike Mot besides him, he didn't really have a long ranged attack. Shun supposed he could try flinging his daggers at it. A few of the other students had mounted the bone dragon, as well as the other not-controlled dragon. That was one way to get up. However, he knew Mitsu was afraid of heights so the likelihood of her be willing to fly was not too great. There was one thing, he supposed that he could try. "Mitsu, I can reach it if I use my FEAR... However I don't think I have an easy way down after teleporting up there. I may need someone to catch me," he said while looking to the girl. With her newfound strength, he figured she might just be able to do that. My HP: 24 (Thanks rage!) Damn it all! After missing his fiery dive bomb, Jericho snarled as he was tackled by Tro and got his tail bitten by Tybalt. That aside, both other dragons had taken flight. One of them had quite a few passengers on board. "Permission to swap targets Mi'lord?" he growled back towards the Mindflayer riding him. She would know who he was talking about. Just imagine what would happen to all of the little ones should they take out their bony mount!
