The flames erupted across the parking lot; it took a bit of quick footwork to avoid them. But quick footwork was one of the ninja's specialties. He followed after the fleeing hunters, remaining invisible, not yet giving away his presence with an attack.

Zar didn't care what way Al ran, merely that both of them got away from the fire as soon as possible. If that was in the same direction many other people appeared to be running, so much the better!

Aisa despised the snaking watchful gaze of the doctor on her, standing as the barrier broke around them. Her body unfolded, with a pride that ceased to break even within the island's confines. Her hand lifted to flick her bloodied hair to one side, her seething gaze focused on the doctor's, the intensity of her gaze colliding equally with the debasing but arresting stare and attention the doctor focused on the heiress of Death.

There was no doubt that he liked what he saw. Death, in one of it's most literal meanings. She rather liked the view as well, the slice she had given him. Unfortunately, she only wished she could have given him a bit more as well. Even as her gaze centered on him, Caelius's words seeped into her being, her posture stiffening.

Negotiations .. with the clans?

Their capture .. Had it led to circumstances other than .. Hm.

The flames licked at her metal boots, scratched and scarred from battle and use, as Aisa ran forth towards Dr. H. Her chance to leave him a last souvenir for the day, perhaps, although knowing the hunters and their slippery ways.. Like trying to hold onto the filth that they were.

Eris was still laughing as the barrier fell with a crackle and a hiss of energy, the blue light emitted from the daggers flickering and dying. Even with the thrill of the fight, energy of her own domain filling her veins like a drug, the fog in the back of her mind had taken the opportunity the FEAR dampener had created, slowly washing over her. She wasn't in her right mind, and she laughed, laughed because he was losing, laughed because he was frustrated, laughed because some part of her mind told her to, and laughed because she couldn't stop. But War was far beyond caring. The barrier fell, and Caelius couldn't find whatever it was he was looking for, which was all she cared about. That look, dark and brooding and displeased, was satisfying in a way very few things were, and she relished in it, leaning forward from where she was on her knees by the inactive dagger, watching him glance over at Clarice and offering her an equally pleased smile, her gaze heated and unstable.

And then the Masterhunter uttered the sweetest words she'd ever heard him say, telling his team to 'Fall Back,' and it might as well have been her goddamn birthday.

Except there was no chance in hell she was going to let him get away.

Letting out a barking laugh, the heir of War leaned forward as the hunters started to turn away, her fingers digging into the snow as she started to crawl towards them. She didn't even bother taking the time to stand -- stretching out her wings, she leaped towards them like an animal, pulling with her arms and kicking off the snow as she beat her wings, gaining enough momentum from it to right herself, sorrel hair whipping around her face as she ran after them.

"Leaving in the middle of a waltz .. Have you forgotten how to treat a ghoul properly doctor?" Aisa's sweet voice whispered in the wind, against the doctor, her scythe lashing out in a warped and disfigured path towards the escaping hunters, the bloodied shadows bending to slice the doctor, even from the distance that was wedged between them so rudely from the scathing blue fire.

The battle wasn't nearly as delicious without the topping, after all.

In the corner of her eye, Eris saw Aisa break free as well just ahead of her, scythe already arcing towards Dr H, the whistle as metal sliced through air to connect with the Masterhunter's shield reverberating over the snow. It was a sweet sound, like bells tolling the demise of their enemy, and she relished in it, a fierceness twisting her expression as she followed suit. They were going to die -- every single last one of them was going to perish at the two horsewomen's hands, burned corpses and severed limbs would litter the snow, until there was nothing recognizable left. If she was lucky, she might spare Clarice if she had the presence of mind to stop herself -- if not, she would be an unfortunate casualty.

When the blue fire erupted from where the Hunters made their escape, Eris seriously considered going in after them. She wasn't afraid of fire. Fire was her friend, her first choice in inflicting damage. Every time she summoned the flames, burns charred her skin, so much so that the smell of cooked flesh was enough to instill a fight from her. If they thought she was going to back down at the last second, they had another thing coming.

Skidding to a halt at the very edge of the flames, Eris let out a furious, bloodcurdling scream, an angry blaze engulfing her completely. Red fire washed over blue, angry clawing fingers reaching for the hunters, but it was no use. For a few seconds, the inferno burned bright and hot, until the hunter's pyre engulfed it completely, swallowing the FEAR and leaving War collapsed on the snow, just barely starting to lick greedily at her dissipating form.

Uragiri watched and seemed to space out when the large handsome boil asked her a question. She was quite mesmerized with the fight. Who were the people in the white coats? Some sort of Reaper clan? They all matched! Would she read about this in one of her magazines later?

The suddenly there was fire.

She had her own fire but it was internal and fueled by rage. This fire wasn't quite the same. The kiyohime was not brave and she had nothing invested in this battle. She didn't know who any of them were and at this point all she wanted was to go home.

Seb wasn't even looking where he was going. He completely ditched Britannica, not even noticing the poor ghoul clinging to his side anymore. He just booked it. Considering, as an undead, he was a tad slow, it was no easy task getting away. Oh dear Jack he got away though. Why?

FIRE. ALL OF THE FIRE.

Not even normal fire. This was bright blue, unnatural fire. Sebastian's fire senses were running full throttle, and his feet were carrying him as far as they could take him.

Unfortunately for the boil, he went in the same direction as the hunters. In his hysteria, he was chasing the very thing he was avoiding. Go figure.

Norvie instinctively hit the dirt as the flames raked across the sky. He was no stranger to explosions, and quickly gained his bearings. He was relieved to see they had destroyed the daggers, but there still was the rest of the mess to clean up. "Terrible." He hissed, chattering with his teeth irritably in distaste before jogging to snatch up his shopping bag of chemicals and scamper after them.

Norvie gave a ferocious squeak, leaping at the woman hunter he recognized from before as a fresh vial of something-or-other-glowing-bright-orange was hurtled at her back, shattering with a sharp explosion. That stuff was *expensive*, but he felt the situation was worth it.

Britannica let out a scream of sheer terror as the parking lot suddenly burst into flames. She didn't want to roast! She was not tasty flame grilled! Oh Jack so much of her was flammable!

Pulling as much of her long plait close to her as possible Britannica ran after Sebastian, hoping his awesome undead ninja skills would get her the Jack away from the fire.

She wasn't even paying attention to the fighting figures anymore.

Turning to give the terrible beauty one last smile, the doctor took her attack with hissing admiration, even as his own counter went far wide. "Wonderful creature...I do so hate to leave you. Had I but time, I'd look into each of your many faces and extol upon their virtues. I'd seek out their darkly treasured secrets, and subsist upon their sighs and smiles and mad, mad sorrows."

But he didn't have time, but rather...

...an assistant with a big sword who wanted to get home now, kay thanks its been real peace the ******** out. Her already damaged coat was smoking from something terribad, and the ******** rat man was still alive and all too near. Next on the agenda? Runic mouse traps and a new pair of shoes.

The massive sword struck the Death heiress from behind, and Clarice snapped out, "Sir, could you please hold off on this s**t?" For once? Just ******** once?

The doctor sighed and tsked at the blonde with profound disappointment, "You lack appreciation for the finer things in life...and death." His eyes slid to the Horsewoman, "You'll haunt my every breath, my dear..."

"Sir. Kinda in a hurry. Just write her a letter later or something. Send her creepy gifts."

The doctor gave her a stern look, but began to move on, "By the by...did you like the gift I left you?"

"You're an a*****e and I hate you, sir."
