"Beats me. I'm running on adrenaline at this point," D.C. said with a shrug before sheathing his sword. He pulled out his revolvers, and started to walk back towards the hole in the wall just as another space marine stepped through. The marine glanced at his dead comrade, then looked at D.C.. With a yell the man aimed his heavy machine gun at D.C. and started firing at him. D.C. dived to the side, going into a closet. He reached around the doorway and fired at the marine, but the bullets only grazed off the person's shoulder armor. D.C. cursed slightly, then holstered his revolvers. He drew out his sword once more, then glanced around the corner to see the exact spot of the marine. He waited a few more seconds, then dived back into the hallway and as he did so he threw his sword, which flew straight through the air and embedded itself in the space marine's abdomen. The men dropped his rifle and stumbled back, just as D.C. drew his revolver and shot the man in the head two times, killing the marine instantly and causing him to slump over dead. Just as D.C. walked over to retrieve his sword the final marine aimed a rifle through the whole and straight at D.C. forehead."Don't move an inch, and drop the pistol," the space marine said. D.C. dropped the revolver, and nodded.

D.C. chuckled as he leaned over and retrieved his revolver. He holstered it before pulling his sword out of the dead marine, then he sheathed the sword. After popping his neck D.C. turned to face Mew."Good job, but I coulda taken him," D.C. said with a grin as he put his hands behind his head and started walking towards the hole in the wall." I still had my other revolver. But oh well, you saved me anyways. I suppose this means I owe you. So, you ever think of something you want me to do, just tell me," D.C. said as he stopped next to Mew and looked at her. "And I mean anything. I may be a Pirate, a drunk, and a killer, but I am a man of my word," D.C. finished, before walking out of the hole to the outside. The battle between the Pirates and the space marines was still raging at the front of the building, but the Pirates had regained control of the back. D.C. watched a few men run back and forth between a couple of trucks, before he spotted his truck. He waved towards Mew."Hey, lucky for us my truck is back in and still working. We can take it to the next base and get the hell outta here," he called to her. D.C. then ran over to the head mechanic, and after conversing for a few moments, the mechanic handed D.C. a pair of keys. He quickly ran back to Mew, and dangled the keys in front of her face." Come on, I'm driving," D.C. said to her, a grin spreading across his face.

"Uh huh, I knew you cared about me. I know you love me," D.C. said, grinning widely before laughing." I'm just messing with you. And hey, I've been driving for quite a few years, and having a bit of robot in my brain helps out too. I've never crashed. Crashed a car that is. Can't say the same for plans..."D.C. said, biting his lip and trailing off in the end. He suddenly noticed that Mew was studying his face. He didn't give it away that he knew though, and continued to act normal. He thought for a few moments, then cursed under his breath."Crap. Since those soldiers saw me, I'm going to have to change what I look like. They're going to know who I am now," he muttered, more to himself but Mew could hear what he was saying. D.C. then listened to the battle, and based on the sound of it, his men were starting to win." Alright, lets hurry up and get the hell outta here. The men are winning on their own. Also, we're gonna stop at a safe house of mine on the way, so I can change my appearance a bit to avoid detection," D.C. said to Mew before turning and running over to the truck. He hopped in quickly, while thinking to himself 'Why was she studying my face? Does she think she recognizes me, or is all my joking about her liking me being true?...'

D.C. watched Mew stand outside of the truck, and talk to herself. He raised an eyebrow, but then shook his head and started the truck. D.C. waited patiently for her to get in. Once she was in, D.C. put the truck in drive and started to speed out of the base Once they were a little distance away, D.C. glanced over at mew. He chewed on his lip, being silent, then sighed." Alright, listen. I have some....secrets and such. I've been trying to find someone to tell them to. I feel like I can trust you. Would you like to know them? Also, would you like to call me by a name that only those whom have passed have called me? I don't really know why, but I guess I feel close to you or something. Like I've known you for a long time," D.C. said, but started to mutter stuff barely loud enough for Mew to hear once he was about half way done. He acted somewhat embarrassed, and turned his head away from Mew." If you don't I understand. This kinda stuff is a little sudden and stuff."

D.C. simply nodded, and remained silent for a few moments before letting out a sigh." I'm telling you this because I trust you, and because I want someone to be able to well pass on what I've done. Pass on who I was and all that good stuff. I don't want to just die and be forgotten," D.C. said to Mew while keeping his eyes on the road. They had just entered the jungle, but the road was still well maintained. "Alright, now I guess I'll tell you what I want you to start calling me, because I sorta miss the name. The name I went by, before being drafted into the military, was Connor," Connor said to her, before becoming silent again. He remained this way for a few seconds, before continuing." Now, I was drafted because my father was drunk, and had me in the car with him while drunk. We crashed, and now I have the cybernetics and am a soldier and all that stuff. Anyways, I started the Pirates because the military was only thinking short terms protection. I thought about long term protection, and how to best protect people. I got as many to join as I did because I was widely known and had a great reputation. All this stuff you could have found out from anyone though. Now, now I shall tell you the things I have kept secret," Connor said, then stopped to take a deep breath." There are two main things. The first is that I believe that parts of the Pirates of Hell have become corrupt. Not corrupt as in smuggling and such, that's normal. I mean corrupt as in this is no longer about helping people. I believe that soon they may defect, and form a new group. This will be both a loss and a gain though," he said, before stopping once more to breath. Connor kept quiet for a longer amount of time though, as if he was debating whether or not to reveal the next secret. Finally, he sighed, deciding to tell." And lastly...there are things out there, other than humans and zombies. There are being, possibly old as time itself. I know it's hard to believe, but trust me. I've met but one of them, yet I know there are more. The one I met was basically the Lord of Madness. He knew so much, that it made him so insane that he became sane. He gave me the same knowing that he had, turning me so insane that I am once more sane. This has resulted in me having no care for whether i live or die. Having no one to keep around long, having no hopes for anyone to help me keep my name going, and having no one care for me on a deep and personal level has made me a bit of a risk taker," Connor said, finishing what he had to tell Mew. He stared at the road for a few long moments, before glancing at her."So what do you think of what I've told you?"

"Oh, um, thanks I guess. Nobody's ever really complimented me on my name before," Connor said with an uneasy chuckle as he watched the road carefully."But hey, thanks for believing me. And also, everyone has secret's. Some are meant to be spread, some are meant to be kept. Mine I was spread, other than that last one. However I'm sure yours are meant to be kept, so if you ever tell me them, know that they will die with me, however soon that may be," Connor said to Mew as he looked over at her, however he muttered the very last part so she could barely hear it. He then looked back at the road, dripping the wheel tightly. Suddenly he yawned, and he let his tiredness show."Hey, if I pulled us over, think you could drive? That fight back there really took something outta me. And we just have to keep driving straight down this road till we reach my safe house."

Connor had pulled the truck over. Just as he was opening his door, is when he heard Mew tell him she liked him. He blushed slightly, and stopped moving. He said nothing for a few long moments as he simply stared at the steering wheel. Finally, he gulped, and spoke." Wow...I think that's the first time someone's ever said that to me," he said, quietly, before taking a deep breath." I, um, I like you too," he muttered back, just as quiet. He continued to stare at the wheel, not sure what to do.
