"So I'll pick you up at seven?" If it was possible, his grin got wider. Was he calling Jude Prince Charming with an ugly mug? Yes, yes he was.
"Well, that's nice of them - and you, I guess - but you'll understand why I'm done here. Good luck Blondie~" A gloved hand escaped his pocket just long enough to wave, and he turned and left, heeding the warning.

"Even I have standards Jeremy," Jude replied dismissively.
Jude didn't know if it was actually nice of him to do this since he was just following 'orders'. He gave Jeremy a return wave then started to look around for someone new instead of chasing Jeremy around to continue their little verbal spar. It could be resumed at a later time.
It didn't take long before his eyes focused on Reine and he wandered up to her, "Hey there. Want to help me out?"

"Hi you!" Reine looked up from her eclair- yes, her eclair this time, look how the tides had turned-- er. Right.
"Sup!" What did Jude need help with? She smiled up at him happily. A fight? Maybe? She could use a fight! Or someone to run a training course with! Or something!

He smiled a bit at her and nodded a bit, "Well right now? I need you to answer a few survey questions, you up for that?" Compared to the exchange with Jeremy this was outright friendly.
Even inviting. Clearly Jude and Jeremy just had a 'special' relationship.

"Oh.." Reine almost looked a tiny bit disappointed. If she were a puppy, her ears would have drooped a little bit, and her tail would have stopped wagging. Well.. at least a survey was something to fill her time with.
And then maybe they could spar. If he was free. Or she could just head to the library or something. Reine was, to say the least, bored.
"What questions?" She looked at him slightly curiously. Was this going to be an IQ test?

...Somehow Jude could never take it when someone of the female gender was disappointed in look or in tone. He reached over and patted her shoulder, "Hey. When I'm done with this we could do something, alright? I just need to do this and I'm free for the rest of the day."
That was acceptable, right?
"Just some personal questions, I guess. First question is...How old are you?" More like second question but he already knew what Reine's name was.

Jeremy remembered the reason that he was in the cafeteria in the first place; he was hungry. Jude's little attempt at playing jouralist-match-maker had caught him before he could make it to actually get the food, or so his stomach reminded him when it growled angrily upon returning to his room. Oh. Yes. Right. Food. So he turned on his heel and headed right back, pausing in the doorway to stare at Jude and Jude's new victim Reine. Awwww poor Reine, getting put up on eHarmony like that! For a moment he considered stepping in and getting himself involved...or just making a nuisance of himself, but his stomach continued to yell at him. Whelp, gotta look out for Number One first!
So he wandered to the cafeteria, grabbed some food, ate so fast it was questionable if he even tasted it (though it was for the best that he didn't), and after he was done, took a seat to blatantly stare at Reine and her attacker Jude. Wow, Jude was actually being nice to the girl! That...that kind of wasn't fair! Though he supposed he wasn't being the nicest person to interview either, but still...that's rude!
"Favouritism." Jeremy whined, crossing the short distance to interrupt.

"YAY." Reine beamed at him, and nibbled on a little bit more of eclair. "Really?" Now he'd promised, she was going to hold him to it- that meant he wasn't going to be run away. There was that slightly manic look on her face again, that had nothing to do with joy cookies. At all.
Not even one.
She made a face at the term 'personal questions'; what-- well, age wasn't so bad, but how personal were these questions going to get? Reine trusted Jude- or at least liked him enough to not be offended the way she had been with Marcus' snooping around, but she still had her limits.
"Eighteen," she replied, slightly cautiously.
"Whaaat?" Now Jeremy was accosting her as well. Was she just getting popular, or was everyone this bored? "I don't mind sparring with you, either," she said, looking confused. Was that what it was really about, though?!

He wrote down the answer given to him by Reine and had been about to move on before Jeremy joined him giving Jude a chance to just stare at the other male Hunter in a way that was almost un-amused and then Jude smiled Jeremy, "Well, sweetheart maybe if you were pretty like Reine is I would have been nicer."
...Poor Reine caught in the crossfire.
He cleared his throat as he just held up the clipboard and murmured to Reine, "Don't mind him, he's just a lonely old man."
The clipboard was set back down so he could ask her the next question, "What do you look for in a significant other?"

"I'm trying really hard to be the beauty to your beast, moonshine." Jeremy bat his eyes and did his best to look hurt, but he just couldn't resist grinning, or that amused twinkle in his eyes.
"Spar? I'd love to spar! I--" He paused to stare at Jude, almost forgetting - almost - that he had told him he was 118 years old. "Help me, I'm old." He pouted at Reine before falling into a fit of giggles and resuming the converstion he was having with her over Jude, jerking his thumb in the other man's direction.
"How's about you and I tag team goldilocks here?"

Sweetheart. Was there something going on between the two guys? Reine raised an eyebrow, observing the two of them. There was certainly an interesting sort of dynamic between them.. One she would be sure to keep a look out for in the future. Beauty and Beast, huh? The girl grinned, taking Jude's compliment with a nod before choking on her eclair at his question.
"S..significant.. other?" Her first reaction was to look towards Jeremy.
No, Alynthe said, almost forcefully.
No, Reine agreed, and looked back at her half-eaten eclair. Significant other.. where would she even.. begin? Not with Robert, probably, even if he'd been the only guy in her life for ten or so years. It was somehow Jordan's smile that came to mind, along with... Caelius' stern face?
What. How did that combination.. even. What. Why.
Alynthe giggled at her confusion.
"Someone.." She looked at Jude helplessly. "Someone.. nice?" That was incredibly vague, somehow. "Someone.. with authority?" Reine was beginning to giggle nervously, her face colouring slightly. "Like, um, someone who gives you a sense of security? Someone you can rely on?" A short pause.
"Someone who.. shows they care, somehow? And they're there to.. listen and stuff." It seemed she was on a roll now. "Also cute, preferably, and um, strong? Like, enough to carry me? And..." More giggles and blushing. This was totally unlike her.. It took Jeremy's giggle fit to stop that particular train of thought, and she was almost glad of it, though his suggestion didn't sit well with her.
"You can't do that," she cried, almost outraged. "Two of us versus.. him?" Reine hadn't meant anything bad, it was just... Jude was so pretty and all.. And ganging up was bad, unless it was against the enemy. Probably.

"And yet you fail me repeatedly and now I have to look at other venues that can satisfy my aesthetics unlike you," He replied at Jeremy. That's right. He went there. He didn't really mind whatever it was that Reine could possibly be thinking of the two. It was just them being...Bromantic or something of that nature.
For the most part he ignored Jeremy to focus on Reine's response as he wrote it down at least an abridged version of it. It seems she was looking for a lot more than others were in a way. He nodded quietly, "Final question is...Are you single?"
At the mention of tag teaming him he raised an eyebrow over at Jeremy, "I knew you fought like a dirty rat."

"You're lucky I can forgive a fling." Jeremy was also in the 'could care less' boat. When he caught Reine staring at him, Jeremy winked at her and put his index fingers into his ears; he wasn't listening, nope! See? He was a good boy. When it seemed she was finished he lowered his arms, digging his hands into his pockets and rummaging around until he found something, withdrawing it and popping it into his mouth; apparently, another lollipop.
"Hey, I'm in the Sun division with an anchored tether for a weapon. If I don't fight dirty, I die." Despite how dark the subject, the Trainee stayed smiling.

Fling? Reine looked almost uncomfortable, her glance darting from one boy to the other. It seemed like they were just bantering, but.. but what if they were seriously arguing? Continuing from the previous thread, when they'd been talking about beauty and the beast.. it seemed sort of plausible that maybe they.. were involved somehow.
"Totally single," she answered, patting Jeremy's hand reassuringly, and giving him a look that said 'he's all yours'. And then she turned to Jude, frowning.
"What're these questions for, anyway?" There was no reason why he would be collecting data on this kind of thing, even if that was what death hunters did- research. Weren't there better things to do, like.. questioning the monsters to learn more about them? If he was just intending to use her to make Jeremy feel jealous, that was like tag-teaming as well, in its own way. That, and she didn't appreciate being used...
"No one's killing anyone, okay?" Reine recalled the last time she'd almost killed someone, and shuddered.

"You're lucky we aren't even together otherwise I'd make your life a living Hell," Jude said in response to Jeremy's retort with a small 'sweet' smile. Oh, sure they were making each other so happy and blissful right now but in the end it was likely that if they were in a romantic relationship one of them would go praying mantis on the other before too long.
Probably.
Maybe.
As he filled in her response he looked over at her, "Higher ups want to do a matchmaking thing so people won't be lonely for Christmas or some junk. I didn't ask too many questions for my own sanity," He admitted quietly at her as he shifted to stand up, "I want to try and corner two other folk and ask them questions. I'll catch up with you later Reine, and you as well Dirty Rat."
