"Uh, yes ma'am," Jin muttered with no enthusiasm. The concept of sitting on the sidelines to watch was less than exciting for the youth. He turned to watch the other students spar, just in time to see one combatant, the boy, take a fist to the face.
"Woah, ouch!" He grinned now, his reluctance to observe the two completely replaced by child-like joy. As the fight dragged on Jin let out a delighted gasp each time one student's fist met it's target. At first he felt like jeering at the boy when he asked to stop, but then Marutobi realized that he probably just didn't want to beat up a girl. He must be a gentleman or something...

Hotaka finally reached the Academy, having only arrived in the village half an hour before. As a result of his late arrival to the village he still had his hatchet at his belt, his quiver on his back and his ow in his hand. The weapons had drawn a few stares already, and as a result he was slightly annoyed, though he managed to hide it. When he reached the Academy he easily found the class he'd be joining, and grimaced when he saw they were sparring.

Chiyaki was on her way to getting the other two to spar when she ended up noticing that there was yet another late entry coming into the academy. The woman couldn't do anything but look up at the sky and groaned out loud... enough for the others to hear. He then looked over towards Ten'nyo and barked orders. "Sandaa, help the newest one out. Give him your scrol and teach him handseals. The sooner everyone catches up, the sooner every can get out of the academy... move it!"

Odin watched on the sidelines as the classmates whom had shown up on time spared one another. It seemed like pretty one sided fight, but Odin thought it better to keep out of it just in case is angered one of the two. The last thing Odin needed was to make enemies. As Odin watched the fight progress he grew bored. He had just completed his handseal training, yet he felt like more needed to be done. So with a quick movement the boy placed himself on the ground and ran through the seals he had just learned. Seals were step one to learning a jutsu, the building blocks for which jutsus were built. However without chakra they were nothing more than flailing your hands around wildly. So Odin thought it was practical to try and mold the chakra with the seals. With his first attempt Odin formed the tiger seal and attempted to flow the chakra from his core into his hands and then back. The young boy closed his eyes as he felt the warmth of chakra flow through him, molding it to his will.
Odin kept his eyes closed as he continued to mold the chakra, though he felt something different happen as he ebbed and flowed his chakra. It felt like a cool breeze running through his vains, instead of the warmth of keeping his chakra in check he felt like a wind was sucking away the comfort. It was clear to odin he was not keeping control of his chakra, and was somehow releasing it without control. Odin opened his eyes and broke to seal to keep himself from loosing to much of his chakra. He felt a little bit number, but overall if he hadn't been paying attention he most likely wouldn't have noticed the decrease of chakra.
Odin settled himself back down after his loss of control. It was important for a shinobi to keep an even head, even when things weren't going their way. To adapt and over come. So the young boy pressed on, forming a new hand seal, bird. He once more closed his eyes and let the feeling of chakra ebb through him. It felt different than the time he had molded it before. Odin was unsure if this was because he had lost some, or because with each handseal the molding of chakra was different. He thought about this in his molding meditation. Perhaps that is what gave jutsu their potency, the ability to combine these different forms of chakra with ever changing hand seals. But, Odin questioned himself further, what about the jutsus that require no handseals? The boy thought on this for a moment but soon gave up. In time he would be taught, for now he simply needed to absorb the world, and to train his body to be ready for the day he was taught.

Shokobutsu Kanjo Hp: 0/9 Cp: 4/4 MHp: 10/10 Experience: 50/100Kanjo, once again falling but this time landing on his butt, knew that he was done. She had won because he was too tired to retaliate. Apparently, his assumption at the beginning was correct and he did, in fact, lose to her. He did not feel embarrassed because he was certain she was a better fighter than him and definitely a harder hitter. He'd just have to learn from this experience and either be better at her in genjutsu and ninjutsu or get on her level in taijutsu. Helping himself up, he looked at her and smiled, "I kinda chickened out at the end but, all and all, it was a good battle. I hope to be as good as you one day." With that, he put his hand out to shake hers.

Mazu entered from the streets and looked around the academy for a while. Some students were already hard at work training. He was a bit jealous, but the time would come for him. He wandered around and eventually found himself in the hospital.

Odin tried once more to get his chakra to flow and bend to his will. He tried to feel the warm energy of his soul but the more he forced it the less he felt it was there. The more Odin worked on the chakra molding the more he learned. Even in failure he was discovering new and interesting things about the human body. Though he wondered if all bodies dealt with chakra in the same way. Just because forcing chakra to bend didn't work for him, did that make it true for everyone? He would have to ask his father when the day was through. Odin's mind was filled with questions. Did jutsu change significantly in nature from one place to another? how did ones nation effect the outcome of the person? Due to his curiosity Odin lost sight of his task, and the chakra he was attempting to mold was lost.

Sandā Ten'nyo  Hp: 39/44 Cp: 24/24 MHp: 40/40Ten'nyo expected him to complain to her about cheating or fighting dirty but instead he smiled while paying her a compliment. She looked at his outstretched with a bit of apprehension. It wasn't normal for her; no one ever said they wanted to be at her level, let alone try to shake her hand. Her frustration and anger faded, as she realized that he had now bad intentions and was really just weaker than her. He mouth curved upwards into a smile as she reached out and squeezed his hand. "You're an okay guy Shokobutsu." she told him. Once the fight was over Chiyaki was already on giving Ten'nyo something new to do. "Got it Yubari." She then pulled out the scroll that Chiyaki had given her earlier before walking over to the new boy. "I'm Sandaa Ten'nyo. Nice to meet you." she said with her hand outstretched to Hotaka with the scroll. Inside the scroll was a drawing and depiction of each hand seal. Despite that Ten'nyo was going to aid him by showing him the hand seals and answering any of his questions. [+1 to Hotaka's next roll on the hand seal training] [Resting: +1 Hp]

Hotaka placed his quiver and bow on the floor by the wall before reaching out to take the scroll. "Teishin Hotaka," he said, smiling. "A pleasure." He unrolled the scroll, scanning the handseals depicted. He decided to start with Tori, and after studying the seals for a few minutes he rolled the scroll back up, set it on the floor, and attempted to duplicate the seals. 1d20 + int mod[0] + 1

She watched as the boy easily replicated the Tori hand seal. That's good Hotaka. Why don't you try the Ushi," she formed the seal, "Tora... Ne.. and Hebi handesals next" she said while showing him each seal when she said the name. After which sat she down on the ground to rest while he continued to learn the hand seals. Ten'nyo could see that the sun was getting lower in the sky and she knew that her first day at the academy would soon be over. He ears picked up the sound of a ringing bell in the distance. She stood up and waved goodbye to Chiyaki before heading home for the day. [+1 to Hotaka's next roll on the hand seal training] [Resting: +1 Hp][Exit to the Raikage's office]

Hotaka studied the seals as Ten'nyo demonstrated them, running through them again in his mind to be sure he knew them. He glanced around at the others before replicating the seals, closing his eyes to shut out any distractions. 1d20 + int mod[0] + 1

Good. Sandaa was helping the newest student here. Now she had to corral everyone else. Geez, why did Raikage-sama put her in charge when she knew of other people that were more qualified than her? But whatever. she was here now. The woman walked over towards the remaining students and proctored what they were doing. Hopefully everyone would be done soon. She knew that the children would be amped to see and learn ninjutsu next.

Sandā Ten'nyo Hp: 42/44 Cp: 24/24 MHp: 40/40Ten'nyo had come from the hospital on a tip that the ANBU carrying the "dragon ball" had come this way. On the immediate inspection of the area the operative was nowhere to be found. There were a lot of other kids here age still hanging around though. One of them had to have seen something if the man had truly come this way. That was really the question though. Had the operative actually come this way or had the man at the hospital been mistaken? She continued to survey the area and look for anyone or anything out of the ordinary. Unfortunately there were none to be found of either category. Geez dad, it's like you don't want us around or something. she thought to herself. With no other alternatives the girl had to start going around asking random people for information. It definitely wasn't very productive. She mostly received blank stares or the question "What's an ANBU?" It seemed that most of the kids weren't very familiar with the different ninja ranks. Ugh, why are all of you such ******** slackers!? she screamed in her head. There has to be a teacher or an adult around here who can help me. Then she had a thought which almost made her laugh out loud, I never thought I'd say this but, help I need an adult. despite her best efforts she couldn't help snort at the thought. After she got the silent laughs out Ten'nyo went in search of a teacher or some kind of older person who might be able to point her in the right direction. It took her a few minutes but she eventually found a teacher hanging out around academy grounds. "Hey you!" she yelled as she ran towards the man. "I need some help!. "What's wrong little girl?" he asked. She frowned. "I'm looking for an ANBU guy carrying ball with the kanji for dragon written on it. You seen him?" The man slowly scratched his head, "Hmm, I don't think that I saw anyone like that recently...." She listened impatiently as he trailed off in thought. What are you? Some kind of old geezer in disguise? Quote: Find the Dragon Ball Somewhere in the Village (It's around the housing area... but do not head straight there...) Bunch of useless people! she thought as she stormed in search of someone else who could help. Masaki probably already found the damn ball based on dumb luck by now! she thought angrily to herself. This is so stupid! How the hell are we supposed to track an ANBU operative! They're supposed to be elite ninja. If I could track one down he'd be pretty shitty at his job. Despite her frustration the girl continued her search for the sneaky ANBU operative. It was then that she thought she caught a glimpse of something jumping between buildings. Ten'nyo immediately ran in the direction where she thought she saw the thing. When she arrived at the suspected area there was no ANBU operative to be found, as well as no "dragonball". Well this just sucks. she thought to herself as she continued to walk around. It was then a youngish looking woman happened to be walking through the area. "Excuse me ma'am!" she yelled out. "But have you seen an ANBU operative running around anywhere around here." The woman stopped walking and looked Ten'nyo's way as she clearly tried to remember something. "Well I think I saw one heading toward the the residential district but I'm not sure. You know how fast those guys are." the woman said. "Well how uncertain are you?" she asked desperately. Sorry, but I'm pretty uncertain. the woman replied. It's not much to go on... I need a second opinion. she thought to herself as she searched for someone else to ask. Unfortunately there was no one in sight and it didn't seem like that was going to be changing anytime soon. Am I really just going to run all the way over to the housing area on some random woman's hunch? she asked her self. The girl paced back and forth in a frustrated manner as she debated with her self on whether or not she should chase down the lead. In the end she decided that she would indeed chase down the lead.
