Sometimes you say things that almost seem intelligent, and then you come out with utter drivel. Do you even listen to yourself at times? Or do you ever stop listening?” He definitely seemed the sort to enjoy hearing himself talk. Definitely arrogant enough for it.
Of course, she was trying to insult him. She most definitely was not genuinely curious. Not in the least, she was just looking for more buttons to push, experimenting with what made him tick. It was all part of the ever changing game.

"The true drivil in this would be a Pure that's fluffy bunnies and rainbows, kitten." He purred. " And if you think I'm the arrogant one.. than that's quite the raven calling the coal black don't you think?" Lifting a paw, he plodded from the spring's water and groomed himself to be rid of the excess water. "So, tell me.. Is it just my presence.. or are you always so... full of your own fodder?"

"Mmm.... that is a good question," she flexed her claws, idly contemplating striking him, just to see what he would do. She dismissed the thought quickly, not because she didn't want to but because she actually wasn't bored with this conversation yet. It was such a rarity that she conversed with a creature for this long and didn't grow bored. Now, did she deny being full of herself? Or was he expecting that? What would throw him off? Her own sense of pride wouldn't allow her to deny her abilities.
"I'm certainly full of something," she finally decided. "Whether it's my own fodder or something else, you'll simply have to figure out on your own. There seems to be a flicker of intelligence in that fluff-head of yours."

 He looked at her and arched a brow, sizing her up a moment once more. "Some hunters feign stupidity in order to lure in things with the trap..." He gave a rolling shrug. "But you.. your vanity is amusing.. your vanity and confidence both." He chuckled something dark mulling his own plans over. Oh how rare it was even for him to have such conversations with his meals. Sure he'd converse with them.. making them think he was some poor lost little familiar.. and then he's strike. Take them down when they least expected it and played his games. Her how ever.. this one was useful... very useful.. he'd deduced this already.. sure.. but the sheer fact that she's lasted this long around him gave him an idea. "You seem to like a good bout of mayhem kitten... Lets say we strike a deal hmm? We'll pull together.. spawn the most foul evil we can and set them loose on this poor land to demolish and rain terror on all..."

Was he… really… suggesting that they have cubs? Together? She eyed him, suspiciously. Surely there was a trick or trap involved. Though, the idea of breeding a stronger, more sinister generation to terrorize the locals did have a certain appeal. It would be a grand game to watch a litter of kitten set loose on a herd. And if those kittens were properly trained as they grew… well, there was no end to what they could accomplish.
Of course, there was always the potential of the progeny turning on their parents. She had done the same to her own mother, of course. Her father, she had never known, though she suspected that she would have done the same to him. Her mother was such an easy kill… Ah, but she digressed. They would have to present a unified front, if they wanted to keep the little brats in check. Of course, that required an actual partnership, which she wasn’t certain she wanted, and knew he didn’t.
At least, not yet.
“Mm, I suppose with my intelligence and your… what exactly would you bring to the equation, again?” she purred.
