Sebastian had been in his room, debating on hair dye colors for the first hour or so after breakfast. After a bit, he decided on a nice purple, which would be an easy transition from the faded blue. He changed into his "dye clothes" and grabbed his gloves, then set to work. The dye was carefully worked into his messy hair, before he started a timer on his watch. Just as he was about to rinse his hair, Liv stepped in with a message from Declan. "Terrible timing, but I'll be right there!"

He went to quickly rinse out the dye, then used the hot-air charm to dry it. From there, he stepped back into his room to change out of his messy clothes and into something clean. Given that his hair was messy now, he pulled on the hat his Mama had knit for him, then finished accessorizing. Once he slid his shoes on, Seb hurried out. Oh heck, where did Liv say to go? He searched around for the brunette to give the instructions once again, then hurried off on his quest.

Making it to the library, he asked Miss Tamra which one was the miscellaneous section. With a thanks, the teen stepped over, spotting his friend doing paces. With a bit of breathiness to his tone, Seb spoke up. "Deccy Deck, there's my guy! Sorry I took a bit. I was in the middle of dying my hair, then Liv came, then I finished my hair... then I had to find Liv 'cause I forgot where to go... then I had to come here, then had to find Miss Tamra 'cause I couldn't remember which one was the right section.... but now I'm here!" He sent over a bright grin, plopping down at the table across from the blond.

Seb had only barely managed to plop down when Declan started... on a whole different topic. Alright, no problem. He often did that too, but it was weird for Dec to do that. Dec started off by saying he had something to say, but that Seb shouldn't interrupt. Okay, he could do that. The violet-haired teen nodded a bit, pressing his palms into the tabletop. If his hands were still, his attention often stayed in place a little longer. A book was set out on the counter, but Seb couldn't make out the words fast enough.

Declan started up, asking about how he'd been feeling weird for a while and grew out his hair and a weight... and it was a lot of words. Okay, he could keep his focus. Dec didn't feel like he belonged in his body? That was news to Seb! If he'd known, he would've tried to make his friend feel more at ease. But apparently whatever was going on had a name, and it was 'transgender'. Hey, he'd heard that word before! Oh wait, Dec wasn't done. Seb drew in a breath, continuing to listen as he explained that he wasn't a boy, but a girl. Okay, that would take a little... getting used to, but it would be okay.

Though it was Dec's next words that made Seb sad inside. He stood and walked over, wrapping his friend in a big hug. "Deccy-Dec, I'm so happy. You trusted me with a big, big thing, and I'm never not gonna be your best friend. I don't think I even could hate you... even if I wanted to. But, we'll have to do some thinkin'... well, 'less you already did all the thinkin' for both of us. Like. Right now I call you a boy and stuff, but I guess that now I should call you a girl, right? And also, who else knows? Do I need to remember to keep it a secret?" He looked over, wide green eyes betraying his curiosity. He wanted to make his friend happy, but he didn't want to accidentally spill any secrets and ruin moments.... Unfortunately, Sebastian Moon had never been terribly good at keeping secrets.

Seb was struggling to stay focused, but he did his best. After hugging Declan, the blonde leaned his... her? head against him, so he gave the soft head a little pat. He was happy that Dec said Seb could keep up the nickname for now, which was nice, given his struggles with memory sometimes. "A whole process, well... I'll be by your side the whole entire time, Deccy-Dec!" Seb sent a grin to his friend, returning to listening as Dec continued. Apparently Healer Marni was gonna call Miss Nora for more help. But also Professor Clarke.... all while Dec worked on telling all their friends. Though their next words brought a grin to the boy's face. "Aww, really? You didn't have to do that, Dec. I'm just happy to know at all!"

It was then that Dec's words made Seb let out a laugh. "You were payin' attention about as much as me! That's why it took a bit to get here. I was in the middle of dying when Liv came to get me. So I rinsed, dried, changed, and put on this hat Mama made me. She's getting pretty good." He grinned, moving to plop down in the seat beside his best friend. He slid the book over, squinting at the title. "Hey, d'you mind if I borrow this? I wanna read more about it so I know what's gonna happen." Sure, he was a super slow reader, but at least he could try!

Seb hesitated on borrowing the book once Dec said it actually belonged to Healer Marni. She was very protective of her books and he was..... less than careful. "Oh, okay. I'll be super careful. Won't even put it in my backpack." Normally, that'd be odd, but given the constant state of Seb's bag, well... it was far better for the book to stay out. He slid the book over, looking at the title with a squint. The words were still really scrambly, but he'd figure it out. If it was a book Dec trusted, well, he'd get over the squirmy words.

Green eyes looked back up when Dec started in on their list of people to tell. "It'd be easier to list the people you shouldn't ought tell. Everyone in the school loves you. But I agree with them. Ella won't be hard to find either. She's probably in the library somewhere. And Támhas can probably be in the... um... plant house place. Linsey's real busy, but maybe cooking? Ella can probably fine her. Liv is one I can find, if she's in the common room. She's usually with Roxanne. Luna's in.... she's in your house, right? So maybe there." He shrugged, thinking it would be helpful for Dec to know where his - her? - friends may be.

Seb nodded along as Declan connected the dots as well. Since first year, the blonde had made a ton of friends, just as Seb had predicted. "Not all thanks to me, Deccy-Dec. You made lots of friends because you're the best you ever." The purple-haired teen grinned happily, still convinced he didn't have much effect on Dec's making of friends. Other than being the first one, but even that was thanks to Miss Nora, not himself.

"First and always. But you've always deserved friends. Even since you were a little baby-dude." Seb grinned over, thinking how lucky he was to have met Dec. If Miss Nora hadn't introduced them, would they ever have become pals? Probably. Seb had always thought that things worked themselves out in the end. Or at least, that's what mama always said... usually in references to Seb's bad luck with, well, everything.

Green eyes looked over at the blonde, returning to focus as they started up. They were thinking up a party, which was a very good idea. "I can help! It'll be the best party ever. Though I'm not very good at cooking.. Oh! I can take pictures of your party and print them up. Then we can send 'em to Mama and Miss Nora. I'm sure they'd both love it bunches! Oh! Are you planning on telling Mama? I just know she'd be so happy." He nodded, damp hair bobbling a bit at the motion.
