"Crying is a sign of weakness..." she said, "And it's just outright embarrassing. A thief shouldn't be crying, especially not a demon thief." She took a deep breath, "I guess that makes two of us down for the count. What are we gonna do if we get another enemy headed our way?" she grinned.

"I don't know what we're going to do. Through I guess you have something in mind?" I asked her seeing her grin. "OH by the way crying isn't a sign of weakness, just that you have a big heart, or something." I told her.

"A big heart...right." she said almost glumly, scratching her nose in embarrassment at the phrase. "Th-that's stupid." she said, a little flustered. A killer with 'a big heart'? Well isn't that wonderful? "Anyway, I have a small idea. Two actually. The first is a pretty simple, have you ever heard of a stick bomb? If we leave a really long one all around us, all it takes is for one of the sticks to get touched and it'll set the rest of them off. Plus, stick bombs move pretty quickly, so it's not like they could just stop it. Though, they're usually made with tongue depressors, I'm sure we could use some thin sticks from the trees around here to make it..." she shrugged, "And if it's a demon, your demon or I will be able to sniff them out pretty quickly."
"But my other idea..." she started, taking out two small bottles filled with unidentifiable liquids. "This," she explained, holding one bottle very carefully, "Is dimethoxyhexanitrobiphenyl also known as DIPAM. Try saying that three times fast," she chuckled, taking out another bottle, "This other one is ethylenedinitramine, or EDNA. Both are highly explosive materials- don't ask where I got them from. Anyways, so underneath some of the stick bombs, we could have like a vein of water. Then if any enemies come nearby, throw a little bit of each into the water, and when the little rivers of water and chemicals combine- BOOM!" she grinned, "Only if enemies come our way, of course. Even if it doesn't kill them, it definitely ought to scare them off."

"There not bad ideas, but um let me ask this what about if demons or anything comes from the lake? What then. Besides I think we're giong to be fine." I said watching the water now. For some reason the water calmed me down, and made me feel safe. "Hey by the way whats wrong with a killer having a big heart? Am not a killer all the time, but am still a killer, and I have a big heart. What does that make me?" I asked her

"What you mean because then the water veins will cross? Then we hide in the highest branches of these trees and drop a little bit of each of the chemicals on them from above. If we only use a little bit, the explosions will be small enough to not get to us." She hesitated at the second thing he'd said, Oops, did I say that out loud? "I dunno about you. You're like, well, I don't know you very well so I might be wrong, but you're like the Robin Hood of killers. You're bad with good intentions almost. At least that's how it seems. And, well, having a 'big heart'...it's only ever lead me to trouble. It hurts me a lot more when people get hurt- friends, fam...family," she swallowed, "And even people I've only just met."

"Well your friend is still here isn't he? Your right that am like Robin Hood of killers. I kill those that are bad, with good intentions. My big hearts has been hurt, but it hasn't lead me into trouble. Well am sure that we'll be fine, but your more the welcome to place stick bombs around if you like." I told her as I continued to watch the water.

"Good, don't let a big heart lead you to trouble, I don't want you to end up like me." she said, jumping from the tree, and checking the ground for something. She picked up a sharp rock and started snapping a few branches, slicing them to make them flat and smooth. "I wanted to save these babys for later anyway. Can you imagine the damage it'd do if I could get these into a water demon's bloodline?" she shook her head, smiling, "I warn you, I'm the type that like to see things go 'Ka-boom!'" she paused in her slicing to stare at her work, "Well, that's one down. Only twenty million more to go."
She chucked it behind her randomly, "Alright, this is boring," she said walking away, "I'm going for a walk, I'll be back in a few min-woaaaaah!" she said, suddenly sliding downwards. "Crap...hey CC, watch out, there's a a pretty deep hole near the edge of the lake!" she shouted towards him. She knocked on the walls, it echoed for a long ways away. "Wow, it's pretty roomy down here. Wonder who made this tunnel."
(I figured either one of two things. A) This is a second path that leads towards the underwater city [it starts to fill up with water later on] or it leads to like an underground mining place or something? I dunno. Ideas?)

Something was starting to move in the water. I kept watching, but didn't know why. Something told me that things were about to get really bad unless we didn't move. "Did you finish that one bomb yet? Also do you still have that item that I gave you?" I asked her looking at the tunnel she found.

(Just so you know, a stick bomb isn't actually a bomb. She's making a different bomb, however. A small one, but a bomb.)
"Yeah, yeah, I'm working on it," she said, "What's the rush anyway? Got a hot date tonight?" she laughed. She started messing around with the dirt around her, checking how soft it was before placing the bomb, "And yeah, I've got the bracelet. Why?"

"Not to rush you or anything, but I think were about to have unwanted company." I said as the water started moving around. "demon alert. Incoming demon." he reported to me, but I didn't need him to tell me that, when I could see it. "Yeah um I think we should get in that tunnel. Let me see that bomb." I asked her placing my hand out.

She handed him the bomb carefully, "Just don't let these two edges touch, got it? Otherwise we'll get blasted to bits." She stood near the edge of the hole at the entrance of the tunnel, waiting for him, and preparing to run.

"Start running. Just to make sure I understand how the bomb works. Does a metal piece have to touch the two edges?" I asked her grabbing the bomb carefully.

"Yes, it works as a hand grenade, too. Throw it, and when it hits the ground the metal piece will smash against the edges and it'll explode. It can also be used as a land mine or a bomb in a suicide mission. I wouldn't suggest using it for that last one, though." she said. She backed up a little ways into the tunnel, and then stopped. "If you plan on throwing it, throw it a pretty good distance up, it should give us enough time to run."

"Well that's good to know that I can throw it. I was planning on causing the roof to close so that the thing couldn't follow us. Just leaving us just the one way left to go. Unless you have a better plan." I said backing up a few more feet waiting for the right time, because I also either wanted to scare it, or at least hurt it.

"Well, this tunnel has to lead somewhere, right? Go for it, we can't afford another fight." She said, feeling the demon starting to emerge.
