Glen frowned and backed off into the shadows of his cage as the other hunters arrived and discussed, his anger and shock once again only lasting so long before better judgement swept in to save the day. The discussion was horrible to listen to, the back and forth of ideas swinging from ending in possible conversion for him, to the newcomers. He dissaproved of Davey's voice of reason, it seemed much too dangerous for him.
All the while though he really could not tear his eyes off of the pantsless man in tights, what in Jack's name was going on in the house?

Bix listened carefully to everyone. Davey was speaking very logically but he hadn't been there with them only moments ago. The others all seemed to be putting it into Gale's hands.
"Gale got..uhh.. knocked out by those ghouls a little bit ago. They ganged up on him like street corner beatdown." Bix explained it to Davey. "That's why they are letting him decide." It was less about strategy and more about vengeance for some of them.
Bix hadn't even thought of extracting the information. He'd let thoughts of revenge cloud his judgement. DAMMIT. Bix also felt like the other hunter was a little more experienced with this kind of thing.
"Well Gale.. what do you say? You've got the majority currently." Bix thought.. hey why not let them decide and I'll just go with it!

"OH FOR PETE'S SAKE - "
The rest of Gale's words were muffled, since Before had decided to throw his arms around both him and Bix and squish them in a hug so tight it was difficult to breathe. He attempted to pry them both off, his face bright red, trying to not show that he was secretly pleased they were all so happy to see him, since he was the youngest of them all.
Especially since Ariane smacked a hand - hard - onto his back and he nearly faceplanted into the grass below him.
But there was Caelius, and the rest of them fell silence almost immediately. Gale watched him with an inscrutable look on his face - the fact that they had all let their pride get to them wasn't really a negotiable fact. It was true, but not just on their side - the creatures had their own problems with it, after all. The fire elemental enough was the spitting (literally) image of someone who had issues with pride.
Which left the question of what Caelius had just asked them burning in Gale's mind. How strange - which one of these creatures would they pick? And what exactly were they doing to it? The same thing they had just done to the other one? And where -
"I think After should have the honors."
Gale snapped out of his inner musings, head jerking up to meet Before's eyes with a surprised look in his own. He opened his mouth to say something, but Ariane had chimed in as well, looking over at him, and then Tika (which reminded Gale that he owed her big time for saving his arse).
But there was still one other person in their little group - Gale's eyes cut towards Davey, narrowing slightly with a look of deep scrutiny. He rather admired the older Hunter, though he did not know him that well at all.
"We were in the room with those four before," he replied, indicating the right cages and ignoring and the two other Hunters completely - or maybe he just hadn't seen Jerry and Harrison arrive. "It was a rather enlightening, to be honest. They're pretty..."
He glanced at the fire elemental first, then at the ice demon, followed by the pink haired one who had first kicked him. Lattice he did not seem to acknowledge. A small smile played on the corners of his lips, hardly visible to anyone who was not standing immediately near him.
"...vocal. And they're pretty loyal to one another - after all, they ganged up on me and tried to kill me after I caught the creepy one with the needles. It's why these guys - " Gale jerked a finger back at his teammates. " - are giving me the 'honor,' apparently."
He couldn't deny that he appreciated their support very much; being the youngest, he tended to get disregarded quite a bit. Gale shrugged, looking up at Davey with his usual unreadable expression.

Harrisons look was not unnoticed by Tika. The teen made eye contact for a moment and then looked up at the ceiling like she hadn't been staring at anything. It wasn't awkward. It was just matter of fact caught in the cookie jar red handed.
Davey brought her back though with his confusion about the choice to let Gale pick. But there was nothing to say that Bix didn't already add.
"For crying out loud. Does order really matter who gets the honor?" The teen crossed her arms. She was referring to the monsters when she used the term honor, not hunter. Impatience was setting in. Bickering. BICKERING. DAMN IT!

"Pathetic that we are taken out by these...indecisive morons, really."
The demon's tail swayed watching them all start to bicker. Maybe them bickering will save some time.

Bix heard the caged thing's complaint. He walked over to the cage and peered inside.
"Do we have a volunteer? Or would you like to offer up a good candidate? OR DO YOU KNOW SOMETHING?" It was easy to act like it was Law & Order when there was an electrified cage between you and the beast you were harassing.

"Well, Bix has the right idea, anyway," Davey said to the other Hunters, amused, as Bix walked off to deal with the loud-mouth. They didn't have the brains God gave a beast, if they thought it was a smart idea to insult their captors while a discussion of whom to kill was underway. Bix was a little melodramatic, but at least he wasn't shying away from putting the captives back in their place.
Settling into a wide-legged stance, Davey wished in vain for the ability to cross his arms over his chest once more. Ah well. The blood-rusted bandages on his shoulder had an intimidation factor all their own. To Tika, he raised an eyebrow. "If you lot think there's any honour in what we're doing, I suggest you talk to Caelius and get yourselves sent home now. This isn't nice work and I doubt it'll be the last we see of it. If you can't make the hard decisions or stomach what is sometimes necessary, this isn't the job for you. Rushing a decision is just as bad as dithering over it."
Davey walked over to the cages. As he passed Bix, he clapped the other Hunter on the shoulder. Davey kept walking until he arrived in front of the needle-girl. He crouched down, eyeing her like a breeder judging the best puppy of the litter. Still, he was careful to keep a distance between them, not knowing what kind of a range she had on those needles.
"What about this one?" he glanced back at Gale and Tika over his shoulder. "You said the others protected her before. Maybe they'll speak up to save her. Maybe they won't... in which case Gale gets his revenge after all."
Davey shrugged. No skin off his back, either way. They had a dozen more captives and a house just full of them. Eventually someone would be able to give Caelius what he was looking for.

The demon watched as one of the Hunters questioned him. He smirked before spitting some type of flaming phlegm in the offensive player direction.
It made a nasty zapping noise and sizzled away as if it didn't happen, but Ziz's was pretty sure that his message came across. Now normally this demon was not one to spit, but hey what was the point in not doing it?
He wasn't sure what he was suppose to know, but if he did know something these freaks weren't getting it from him.
Wishing he had a song for this occasion because their song earlier was ... to die for, but sadly he couldn't think of any. ((ooc;;Really tried to make ALWAYS~ work, but my brain sucks. xD))

Tika raised a brow back at Davey.
" What are you even saying." She rolled her eyes, "Honor. Line order. Do you not get sayings? God damn." Honestly. She felt it a great honor to be here to be picked to protect man kind. Who the hell was here because they didn't take pride in their work.
The bickering. It had gotten hold of her too.

Gale gave a snort of amusement, glancing up at Davey.
"Who says we're talking about honour?" he replied breezily, and shrugged. "You misunderstand, mate. Tika just meant that it doesn't matter who we choose."
What did matter was that they picked before Caelius kicked them all out and picked instead. Which would have bad repercussions, considering that Gale did not really like being on the more negative side of their instructor.
He crossed over to the cages, walking past them one by one, his eyes moving carefully from each creature to the next.
The cage of the needle monster was first, the girl rocking back and forth and muttering something unintelligible. Davey was crouched beside it, but Gale scrutinized her for a moment, then shook his head; an almost imperceptible gesture.
"Whoever said I'm looking for revenge?" he asked innocently, lifting his brows. "I don't recall ever mentioning that I was going in that particular direction. And I have a feeling they would react that way if it had been a different one other than this one."
He stepped to the next cage - the pink haired girl who had kicked him so unpleasantly. A small smile appeared on his face.
"Speaking of revenge...I could get you back for that very low move from earlier, but I won't," he said. "Not this time, at least."
Which left two more - the fire elemental and the frost demon, not to mention the whole row of cages that were behind them of creatures that Gale had not seen before, nor heard from. There were murmurings and mutterings from everyone, small, pathetic sounds of desperation, but Gale's eyes were focused on the two girls, still in their school uniform outfits.
"You two are quite the ladies, aren't you?" he said, casting a wary eye on Caelius. He was running out of time.
Gale's gaze flickered towards the frost demon's cage.
"You were the one who delivered the 'final blow' while I was already down."
A glance at the fire elemental.
"And you're just annoying."
This was said in a rather light tone. Gale lowered the rifle from his shoulder, stepping slowly towards one of the cages - past the cages of the four from the room they were in, to one behind them. He reached out, pressed the tip of his gun against the bars, and said in a loud, clear voice:
"This one."

"Honestly?" Davey said mildly. "I have no idea what you Yanks are saying half the time. But how about we deal with this problem first? We can talk about the wonders of tea, and debate the Queen's English versus whatever you lot speak once the mission's done."
It was water off a duck's back, really. Davey was surrounded by Americans and he was slowly growing used to them and their strange ways - with the exception of coffee. He'd happily burn the Island's entire supply if he didn't think it would get him lynched. So he settled with just refusing to drink the stuff and the occasional scrunch of his nose when someone else polluted the air with it.
"So, you have an opinion on a victim?" he prompted Tika. "Or still deferring to Gale?"
While they spoke, Gale was walking and picking his victim. Davey shrugged his good shoulder and stood. He walked over to the chosen victim. It didn't seem like Gale had any reasoning behind the choice at all, but Davey had already said his piece. Majority vote seemed to be behind Gale, so Davey's opinion mattered very little.

Bix hadn't even noticed that cage.. but to him it was as good as any as long as a decision was made. He had a feeling, so long as they were all caged, that it was only a matter of time anyway.
"Sounds fine with me." They didn't even know what Dr. H was going to do with the 'patient'. Whatever it was Bix hoped that having the rest of them watch would make them think again if they had secrets they were hiding.
Bix was having an easier time not thinking of them as people. Honestly it was their attitudes. He'd taken the island trial. They'd made hard decisions before. Why was this so hard now?
The who was meaningless, now that he thought about it.

Jerry was listening intently to the argument, brows furrowed, and while he might have looked like an idiot, and often acted a bit... oddly, he was no fool. He glowered over to the one-armed hunter, "Who's side are you on?" He finally snapped, "You think what we're doing is horrible? Is a correctional institute horrible if it means creating proper members of society? These... these things should THANK us! I've been terrified my entire life, and I am TIRED of it! I'm tired of... of being made a mockery by these things!" His face had darkened behind his glasses as he suddenly ripped the ridiculous little tiara from his head before hurling it at the cage bearing the gaping Kelpie with a clang, "If you are all arguing about whether this is... is ETHICAL or not, maybe you should remember why we're here. Why we're all here. What these... these THINGS have done to us our whole lives, and plan on continuing to do if we don't do something about it!"
He shook his head with an exasperated noise, "How, exactly, did you lose that arm, kid?"
He was tired, he was grumpy, he was at his wits end, and somehow it didn't seem like a song and dance would therapy it away this time.
"Pick one at random, if that's how its going to be. They're all going to go the same way, regardless. And good riddance."

Tika had a half amused smile directed at Davey. The teen felt no need to make a comment about the confusion.
"I put my full trust in Gales decision seeing as I don't seem to give a damn either way." She sighed. "And I'm unsure you know your own kind seeing Gale is british. I my self am Canadian."
"Theres no need to bicker though like that guy says." Tika pointed to Jerry. She wasn't sure of his name but she liked how he thought, "It doesn't matter. Good riddance. Were on the same team eh?" She put alittle extra emphasis on that eh.
Gale had made his choice though and Tika couldn't have cared less the order.

Gale's eyes flickered towards Davey again, amusement alight in them, though he said nothing, instead turning towards the glasses-wearing hunter who had suddenly burst out.
"I like the way you think," he said. "Quite nicely put.
"Even if you are dressed, er...somewhat oddly."
