 Giovanni sighed as the copies disappeared then he smiled "So long Damien" he said as he laughed a bit then disappeared.

 Evangeline had been observing the conversation that had unfolded before her but couldn't seem to involve herself. It was almost as if a weight had been lifted off of her shoulders, she took a deep breath in and felt relieved though her vision seemed to be darkening. She tried to ignore the fighting that was going on behind her. Her eyes scanned the room for Dusk, the only familiar face in the small crowd but for whatever reason she couldn't see him. She stood from her chair and climbed the steps to the stage, making her way behind the curtains. ' What's going on?' She thought, wondering if the near blindness was something caused by the UV Injections. Since the drug was still experimental, they didn't know what the side-effects were. ((sorry about missing the last few posts... I had to go to school...))

DUSK Dusk saw Evangeline walk away behind the stage. he decided to follow her into the dark backstage. He gently grabbed her hand as he walked behind the curtain. "Hey," he whispered to her, "Are you ok?"

She wandered quickly, vision growing darker and darker. A hand reached out of the darkness and grabbed hers, comforting and stable. He didn't have to speak for her to know that it was Dusk. "I can't see," she said worriedly. "I don't know what's going on right now, I'm kind of freaking out. I wanted to apologize for zoning our back there..." She turned towards the direction of his voice, her hand tightly grasping his. "I feel so terrible." She scoffed. "I just met you and already I'm a mess." She laughed bitterly. 'Isn't that how it always is?' She thought to herself.

DUSK "It's ok," Dusk whispered to her in a comforting voice, "Do you want to go to the nurse to have it checked out?" He gently gave her a hug to help calm and comfort her.

Evangeline nodded. "Yes." She whispered. "Thank you." She felt so vulnerable without her vision, she couldn't imagine how some people could go their entire life without seeing. "I guess I'm kind of relying on you to get me to the Nurse's office." She said guiltily. "I'm sorry for being such a burden to you. I guess I should have started taking the UV Injections after they knew exactly what the side-effects were." Every step she took, she was afraid of tripping or walking into something. It was like someone turned the lights off. She didn't like it. "I know I've said this before, but I'll say it again; Thank you so much for being so nice. I appreciate it. I hope that we continue to talk to each other after this, and that I haven't freaked you out or scared you off."

DUSK Dusk watched her take some careful steps, "It's ok, you're not a burden to me. Here, let me help you." He picked her up bridal-style and started to carry her off to the nurses office, "And of course we'll continue to talk, you don't freak me out." He smiled down at her, she couldn't see it, of course, and he walked off to the nurses office.
