"I see." The butler responded, nodding. "It seems the general consensus is that the hyperactive lad [Jaren] is not guilty, the drunkard [Dietrich] is not guilty, but instead the blacksmith [Enailios] in fact is." He turned to the man. "You are suspected of murder. It is an eye for an eye, here. Farewell."
Vaida glared furiously at Enailios as she cracked her knuckles and then he went blasting off agaaaaain. And then kinda landed splat and it was gross.
"Now then, given what has happened, your weapons will have to be collected and stored away, for safe measure. We do not yet know if we are safe for sure. Furthermore, I nor any of the other servants of the manor can supervise you all, all the time. Since you are stuck here, it will be up to you all to keep yourselves out of danger. If you'll excuse me..." The butler left the group.
For the rest of the day, the group was left to themselves. For a while, they sat around with shifting eyes, judging each other. Paranoia was swelling to an all-time high at the possibility that either they had been wrong about Enailios or that he had not been working alone. Or both. As that paranoia swelled, it became intoxicating for people to be in the same room as people who could be killers and so gradually people got up and went about their separate business. Some went to their rooms, others helped the servants, and some wandered around outside.
Later in the day, the guests were startled by a sound that was slowly becoming commonplace. The shout of a servant pierced the manor and was quick to gather everyone to the roof. Once on the scene, the butler was troubled by what he saw. Amongst toppled cages filled with dead birds laid two dead bodies.
One was the body of a servant and the other was the dead body of Sunil
The butler turned to the group to shed some light. "The birds you see are carrier pigeons. This morning, after I left that dreadful scene, I sent a servant to send a message to Eyris via carrier pigeon, since that is the closest place that the pigeons know to fly to. Hours passed and I had not heard back from her, so I sent another servant to check on her." He turned to the one who had discovered the bodies and alerted everyone with a shout. It was actually Rin. "However, you are not the one I sent, nor are you a servant of this manor that I know of- making your attire curious. I suppose the task of checking up was delegated to you without my knowledge..." He turned back to the group. "I think based on what you see here, it was obvious why I hid the fact that we possess carrier pigeons. This shifter somehow discovered them anyway, perhaps catching the killer in the act of killing the servant and the birds and was done away with, as well... What do you all think?"

It was no surprise, then, that Vaida would dispose of the blacksmith that had allegedly murdered her mount. Figuring that he'd be done away with in the same manner (quite probably by Vaida) should he be implicated later on, he kept silent and hoped they had been right in their assumptions.
No such luck. When the butler asked what their thoughts on the situation were, Legault chose to remain silent this time. The penalty for being accused was high and he didn't want a repeat of Enailos's apparently undeserved punishment happening to anyone else. Including him.

[Do not make comments about how killing Enailios was wrong or shocking. This is how the game is played, you should know this full well, and comments like that are nothing but annoying and have no place in here; especially if you voted yes on him being guilty. This is for future reference. I meant to include this note in my last post, because I had a feeling somebody would do it.]

Was that random guy innocent or was there more than one killer? The answer didn't matter much, because people were still dying. Vaida thought back on who had died and what everyone had done since day one.
Nasir and Wallace got killed before they could really do anything and Vaida had forgotten that Vanessa was even there. Jaren: Accused Dietrich Bozo: Accused Sunil Dietrich: Accused Jaren Ephraim: Accused that dead guy Sunil: accused Dietrich, suspicious of Oujay
"As much as I'm disgusted at the thought of a Guard member being a murderer... Dietrich seems the most suspicious. He was accused by the little snot and then later accuses the kid back. Then, he's accused by the cat here and the next thing we know the cat is dead. And, when his accusation on Jaren didn't bear much fruit, he jumped on the bandwagon to say that blacksmith was guilty, since it seemed pretty much everyone else was. And he only did this AFTER the cat accused him. This all seems like a nervous attempt at saving his own a**, don't you think?"

Mulling over Vaida's accusation for only a few moments, Legault nodded in agreement. "When you put it like that...yes, it does seem quite suspicious. I'll have to concur with Lady Vaida on this one."

Seriously, people needed to stop dying. Blossom was pretty sure she was going to have a heart attack at this rate.
She had spent most of her morning and afternoon helping the cooks in the kitchen, particularly with the baking. It was a soothing activity for her, expending energy by mixing batter or kneading bread dough. The smell of good food permeated her senses and helped bring a little bit of peace to her mind.
It was too bad it wasn't meant to last, though.
Pastry flour spattered across one cheek and the bridge of her nose, Blossom arrived at the back of the pack to find the dead servant, birds, and Sunil. Blossom pressed her hands over her mouth, closing her eyes. If it was ever made clear before, it certainly was now: Someone didn't want them to leave, or spread word outside of the boundaries of the manor.
She opened her eyes and stared at Sunil, sniffing once. She hadn't known him as well as she would have liked, true, but... she liked him well enough. He had been a decent man and someone Blossom thought was worth trusting. To see him dead... Blossom's voice wavered as she spoke, but her eyes stayed focused on Sunil, even as tears gathered. "I think... that whoever killed Sunil, it would... be the perfect cover-up to kill the person most poised to make someone else suspicious of the act. I don't... I still don't know who could have done it. I don't want to think that Dietrich did it. But it seems too... too much of a coincidence for it to have been done on accident or for Dietrich to have... not considered the implications.
I... I don't think he did it."

Now that the suspicions were raised, Ephraim had no reason to deny the fact about Dietrich. To further speculate Vaida's theory, the lancer added on. "Its also likely that his partner, be it Enailios or a completely different person..."He paused, trying to get a thought going. "Let's turn back to that general, shall we?" Ephraim started, clearing his throat for a bit. "Sure, you may not have killed him, but its likely that your partner asked you to write the letter. The sloppy hand writing is most likely proof that you don't know how to read or write, so your partner more or less had to guide you through that. Wallace saw what you and your partner were doing and because he's your teacher, you couldn't do a thing...or more specifically..you didn't want to. However, that didn't stop your partner from silencing him..did it?"
Averting his gaze over to him for just a second before continuing. "And its true. After Jaren accused you the first time, you accused him back. Hoping that everybody would agree with you and he'd be dead without you having to lift a finger. If Jaren had been dead after the first accusation, then all suspicions would be drawn to you. Am I not correct? What's more, that cat is now dead due to his accusation toward you."
He paused for a moment, realizing he was getting off topic. Ephraim shook his head and let out a heavy sigh. "To put it short, I'm agreeing with Vaida."

Bozo really wanted to believe in Dirt Man, Bozo really did! It seemed unfair to accuse Dirt Man just because he was dirty! In more than one sense! Still, what Scared Lady said made sense...but Bozo still refused to believe it could be true! Bozo thought it to be too early to make judgements but...Bozo did agree that he was suspicious! But maybe the killer had that planned to turn them against Dirt Man? Augh! All this thinking made Bozo's head hurt!
Reserving judgement, not really because I don't think Dietrich is guilty, but more because Bozo refuses to believe it. :<

"I see. It seems the general consensus is that this man [Dietrich] is guilty." He turned to the man. "You are suspected for murder. It is an eye for an eye here. Farewell." The butler pulled a lever that had somehow appeared and Dietrich was suddenly catapulted off of the roof, where he went splat atop of Enailios' body. "Now then, all of you, off to dinner."
The group kind of stared blankly, but eventually all went down to eat. The dinners were getting quieter each day, with less people to enjoy the food. After dinner ended, the butler walked into the room, bowing, to give them more news. "I think you all should know... after you left, I counted the birds. One was missing. I believe the killer was a tad too late. Word of our situation has gotten out. Let us pray that we survive until help can arrive..." With another bow, he left the room.
The group, encouraged by this news, went up to their rooms and managed to get to sleep. Help would be on the way. Hope wasn't gone.
But it was still diminishing.
In the morning, as Blossom awoke and went to the bathroom, she opened the door to a horrifying shock, her screams awakening everyone. The rest of the group crowed around the bathroom and the butler soon joined them. Even he was taken aback by what he saw.
On the toilet, pants down, was the dead body of Jaren, a towel stuffed down his throat.
The butler turned to the group, mortified. "...So... Thoughts...?"

Blossom lowered her eyes for Dietrich, closing them tightly. To see a friend go, and in such a manner... she didn't even have time to grieve, simply nodded in response to the butler, sniffing once, and followed him out. Even the news of the pigeon getting out wasn't quite enough to alleviate her dampened spirits, and she went to bed, falling asleep as soon as her head touched the pillow.
Despite the struggles of the previous day, Blossom slept surprisingly well. The Hero felt refreshed when she awoke in the morning, stretching easily before crawling out of bed, tottering in her pajamas and stocking feet to the bathroom. Just need a little drink of water, and--
Or not, thirst immediately forgotten.
Blossom didn't realize how loud she had screamed until everyone else was gathering around her, staring as a group at Jaren's dead body. Not only was he dead, the killer hadn't even afforded him a dignified death... Blossom pressed her hands over her face and let out a muffled little sob, shoulders shaking.
"O-Only... s-someone awake b-before Jaren could h-have done it," she managed, still crying. "I-It couldn't h-have been revenge, because... b-because Enailios and Dietrich a-are already dead...! I-I don't... I don't know what to think..."

...The scene was oddly fitting. Would he have died any other way? He was always annoying, Vaida didn't really care that he was gone, except that his death meant there was still a killer among them. Enailios could have been innocent, but Vaida was pretty sure that she wasn't wrong about Dietrich. The thought of there being multiple killers made that entirely possible.
But now she had to start from scratch with deciding who could be a killer. The only person Jaren had accused was Dietrich, who was already dead. In truth, Vaida didn't know what the ******** to think, either. But she knew just sitting quiet wasn't going to ******** stop the killer from getting everyone and it seemed like she was the only god damned person who figured she should ******** do something.
"I think it may be loony over here." Vaida said, looking at Iris. "Anybody else notice her talking to herself? What the ******** is that. She's crazy. What's more suspicious than that? But beyond that, she's been playing it cool in the background this whole time except for once, when she wailed on that blacksmith. Was that even necessary? Pretty much everyone was voting guilty already. There's some weird motive going on with that, and I just plain think it's suspicious!"

I had been holed up in a room since the event had happened. He had been in to much shock to think clearly. He had finally came out to see another man put to death and a raving woman clearly over reacting and trying to get another woman killed. He had taken all his energy to even come out and face the people who had been here. When one of them could be the killer. Innes had finally gotten out of his mood. After Vanessa had... had.. he couldn't say it. It hurt to much still. To see his comrade and his friend dead was too much for him to bear. This hadn't been a soldier of some war. This had no reason behind it. It was murder plane and simple. Murder did not belong in this world.
"Vaida! The sniper used a mechanism he had very rarely felt in the past, rage. It marked his cheeks flushed with red. His eyes flared with determination and resolve. A resolve to end this act of aggression against innocent people. He knew of Vaida's reputation and the thought of the ramifications that would occur by his words never even phased him. He looked her straight in the eyes. "Stop this ceaseless witch hunt and think! You are grasping on to straws at best. Your reasoning is flawed and you are doing nothing but helping the killer. If you don't think clearly than everyone's deaths will mean nothing. Vanessa's killer will be free to continue killing!" By the end his screams of rage had turned into sobs of agony.
He knew what he was about to say to be untrue but he said it anyway to make her think of her actions. He ceased his tears, instead drying his eyes and pointed a finger at the woman he had addressed. "Vaida I accuse you of being the killer. Who else would encourage this witch hunt but the killer herself? Vaida answer for your crimes. If not the murder of everyone than you are still responsible for the deaths of others here today. I mark my word I shall find the real murderer here today!" By the end he had addressed the entire crowd with his speech. To show his determination of justice. This was not just to save the others here today but to avenge the deaths of those who came before.

"...Are you a ******** moron? You're a ******** moron." Vaida gawked at the sniper's stupidity and gave him a betch look. "You think sitting the ******** around and not doing anything is a good way to stop the killer? Yeah, keep doing that, see how that works out. I'm not ******** senselessly trying to get people killed, it's called ******** seeing what other people think. The only person I've accused this whole time is Dietrich, and it was pretty damn clear what everyone thought; I still hold firm to him being guilty! If somebody is found guilty by the group, then it's everyone's decision, it's not the accuser's fault. Or is Ephraim suddenly guilty for accusing Enailios? If a person is found innocent, then there's no harm done and it's pretty clear what everyone's thoughts are." Vaida rolled her eyes, not even closely being able to take the guy seriously. "You wanna talk about flawed reasoning? You say I'm the killer and then you say maybe I'm not, but that I'm responsible for... the deaths of others here today, meaning... uh... considering it's the ******** morning... just this kid, here? And then you spout about finding the real killer, so you pretty much don't even think it's me. What the hell are you on? Go cry in a corner and let people with brains talk for a while." She waved him off and turned her back to him as she waited for others to respond to her accusation.
[Basically, his only reason is because I'm playing the game the way you're supposed to, which is dumb.]
