His head snapped in a direction that was slightly to the right of them, "Chakrra sspikee." Tier whispered while they kept moving crouched.
He put his index finger and middle finger together and pointed in the direction while picking up the pace. Tier didn't move towards the direction he pointed at though, he continued going straight ahead. They would have to find a place where they could observe from a relatively safe distance.
From this distance he wasn't 100% sure who's chakra signature it was.

Fuji's tail seemed to puff up to twice it's size as on some level, he sensed the chakra spike as well. With the lightest of sighs he smoothed out the fur with his hands before following Tier's pace. The smells had changed, and he almost couldnt help but shudder as he picked up the mixed smells of tar, blood, and ash. Not a fun combination. He looked back towards where Tier had indicated and nodded, the smell was everywhere, but it was as if he could tell the blood was coming from that way. He had a stron desire to investigate, but silence was key, and as long as Tier was leading, he would remain quiet, and follow orders.

Ookamimaru's fur bristled up at the smells, and he flinched when Tier said he sensed a chakra spike. He immediately lowered his wind activity to a simple flow rather than a breeze.
He'd noticed a faint cat-like smell, but the overpowering tar-smell prevented him of going into detail on that. He simply assumed it was Fugiwara.
The smell of -relatively fresh- blood made him wary. It wasn't there when they left the place. What happened when they were gone?
A small part of him simply wanted to run away, but his desire to find Lina won the inner battle by far.

Ren immediately noticed the spike right after Tier had snapped his head in that direction. He continued to watch behind and around them while keeping up with the group.

She poked at the metal bandage a few times, looking somewhat confused, but as the group got closer her face turned serious and she turned around. Her body shifting forms rapidly, the cat-like ears on the side of her head twitching as she listened, turning in several directions, but always coming back towards the direction the group was coming from, some sense she couldn't quite identify telling her where she should be looking, even if the shadow technique obscuring the four seemed to make it difficult to discern.
Still she had an injured 'comrade' to worry about, so best to try and stop someone from even thinking of sneaking around to try and create a hostage situation. "I know you're there, show yourselves or I won't be held responsible for what happens next." she yelled as she closed her eyes, taking one last moment to think.
'They outnumber me for sure... Third form it is' she shifted her posture slightly into a loose stance and opened her eyes, the formerly yellow eyes beginning to look green as they picked up a slight blue glow.

Tier halted and half-way turned his head to speak with the others in a whisper, "Tierr will sshow himsselff, all stayy hhiddenn. Iff Tierr sayss "Display" outloudd, show yourselvves and be readdy to fightt. Iff Tierr sayss "Krieg" immediatelyy assaultt their positionn. "Stand down" will meann there iss no thrreat."
Tier formed several handseals and then moved his arms in strange motions, Krähetechniken: Schatten von Korruption (Shadows of Corruption)
The shadows from the Rai Dojo that were already with the group became more potent in their abilities. Their footsteps would be masked, but the chakra signature was more noticeable than before (on purpose). In addition, Tier had made more blotches of the technique scattered across the ground around them. He sent the blotches streaming across the ground of the forest in different directions to make it seem like there were more chakra signatures surrounding the unknown group ahead of them. It was a scare tactic.
"Take staging posittionss."
Tier was assuming that the others would notice the technique and would assume accordingly that it was meant as a distraction for a sensory-type. He charged ahead of the group in full sprint, drawing attention to himself without having the sound of his tracks being masked. Tier almost reached the small clearing up ahead.

Fujiwara, already kneeling, simply nodded and waited. As Tier took off in a run, he stretched out, like a cat might, stomach extended towards the ground while head and tail to the air. As he came out of the stretch he took a seat in the seiza position, closed his eyes, and steadied his breathing. His ears twitched as they took in sound, his tail flicked to the left and to the right calmly. He was on the verge of simply meditating then and there, but he was sure the position he took was already weird enough for one about to possibly entering battle.

Ookamimaru stayed low, almost flat on his stomach as he saw Tier running off. Silently, he untied the scythe from his back and held it in his right hand, on the ground. He looked from under the bushes to keep an eye on Tier for as long as he could.
Of course he was still trying to pick up smells and sounds, though his attention was mostly fixed on the direction Tier had gone to.

Ren saw the blots of shadows that Tier created and saw that they were all branching out to surround the people up ahead. Ren didn't make the connection that it was meant as a distraction rather than an attack. None the less, he crouch-sprinted forwards past the other two to get a better vantage point. Ren halted when he found a good enough position and kept crouched. He was still scanning the area around them for anyone else near or further away. Only briefly would he check on where Tier's position was before going back to scanning.

The cat-woman's gaze was locked firmly on Tier, ignoring the moving shadows entirely. She kept her stance, though she had placed herself between Tier and the armored figure. "Well?" Outwards she was calm, seemingly unarmed and nonthreatening by the defensive stance, well outside the feline nature and her height being a bit unusual.
Her mind was racing. 'Keep eyes on the target you're sure of. Trust your awareness but don't fall for tricks.' She sniffed the air a few times, noticing 'scents of wolf, and possibly another cat?'

Tier exposed himself from the trees, coming to an abrupt stop. "Sstate yyour name and intentionns." He demanded in a stern and raised voice. Tier's single yellow eye wandered to the armored man behind the cat-like woman. He seemed to be in an injured state. The yellow eye moved back to the cat-like woman.

It had been years since he had seen Lina, but still, he didn't remember her ever scent being anywhere near a cat's as well. In his near-meditative state though he was beginning to separate the smells from one another, and the figure Tier had charged forward at was where he was getting the smell. Still, things happened so fast around here so often that he would not be surprised had she attained something as significant as cat-like appendages.
Opening his eyes, he rose to a crouched position once more as he sniffed the air once, and heavily. Somewhere behind this cat-figure was where the stench of blood was coming from. He had learned the art of Ijutsu when he was last here, and while he had only achieved the rank of chuunin, it was still enough to be able to help if only they were established as non-enemies and he could get to whoever it was bleeding quick enough.

She glanced at Tier, sizing him up for a moment, trying to ignore where his gaze seemed to be directed, before speaking "Last I checked it was customary to give one's name first when demanding the name of another" she paused for a moment.
She was tempted to draw things out but she relented at the nagging feeling from the back of her mind. "Name, Halliphax Sarket, Rank, E-7... Discharged, Identification Serial Niner-Four-Lima-Hotel-Kilo" she was so focused on ignoring the buzzing from the back of her head she didn't realize instead of her normal Identification phonetic the one she said translated to the ID header of Lina's GNA file from Neko's old records.

Ookamimaru frowned out of impatience. He didn't like lying there at all, with Tier and possibly Lina being out there.
Still steering air towards them, he persistently continued analyzing the smells of the surroundings to a level of habituation. He nearly didn't smell the blood or tar any more, which was actually an advantage. changes of smells would be more easily detected.
The cat's smell kept bothering him though, even though he didn't exactly smell it any more, he realized it wasn't Fugiwaras. The air he steered towards them came from another direction.

Tier let out a "pheh" sound to scoff at the statement. There was a five second pause before he responded, "Tier. Gaian Ninja Academy."
He waited for the woman to respond to the original demand.
