"All right then let's get moving then." She replied a small smile flickering across her face knowing Krog would leave as well if not with them. Turning to the stairwell she looked over the others making sure they were ready.

Kere giving the ichor one last glance with a shudder began making her way slowly up the stairs, her sepi drawn in case enemies awaited them at the top. It was best not to remain in such a foul place lest it's taint spread to them as well.

The large orc was half-mindedly listening to their chatter as he gathered whatever else he could use and might need in their journey ahead. They had to go far away from here. They were going to be hunted down and probably killed. He wasn’t going to let them get him back here again.
He did catch to what one of the humans were saying, the stuttering one. He too was raised in a village which was far from the Shadow’s hold, until the day they came and took him. If this human was lucky, maybe his village still stands and at least one of those present has a home to look forward to.
“Thank you.” Olruuk placed a reassuring hand on the orc’s shoulder. “Be safe.”
He gave a slight nod to the elfing, and then another nod at the orc as he made his way to the exit. He had a gut feeling this might be the last time he’ll see Krog. Maybe he had better get used to leaving people behind. He barely knew the orc, but he knew he may not survive, with the limp and all. Hopefully, they’ll spare him.

Martin turned to Krog and looked at the orc. He waited a moment and then nodded his head in a gesture of respect. "Don't die." That was all he said before he started up the steps.

Mention of the Legate and his men caused a shiver to be sent down Inukai's spine. He drew a cedeku and tied a length of rope to his waist and passed it to Hector.

"S-so we don't get split up. You don't have to tie the rope to yourself, but at least hang onto it so we don't lose each other on the way up-p."

Inukai was being cautious and tried to keep his voice stern, even though his heart and breathing rates belied his true fear.

Returning Olruuk's nod the usually chatty elfling fell silent falling into step beside the massive orc huddling close to him to conceal herself in his shadow. From here should they be jumped hopefully she'd have a few seconds to take any enemy by surprise while they were startled by her new companion.

Blue green eyes narrowing she stalked quietly up the steps unsure what awaited them above.

Picking up both torches, Hector pulls up the rear once again keeping one open eye and the moving crap close the whole time.

He gathers everyone's preferences in the group position. He though, maybe naturally, being one of the bigger figures in the group he would be in the lead, though the large burly one seems to fancy watching their rear.

He treads carefully, holding his cleaver in one hand, hoping they make their exit swiftly and safely.

Inukai wound the rope back into the side strap of his backpack, realizing that nobody was going to take it. He turned and stood behind Kere and began to climb the stairwell, keeping all senses opened for signs of danger.

The big man returned each gesture in full, with a hearty "Krog thank you. Be safe." With his heart of gold tune.
When Krog saw the last of the group head up the stairs, he left, returning to the mansion, disappearing into the dark.

Just as the previous stairwell had been seeped in darkness, so too had this one denied all chances of light. No torches burned, no dark vision allowed sight. Just the smooth path of a spiral steadily heading upwards with a slight incline that almost seemed to head away from the massive pool. This, unlike the previous ones, held no stops, no extra rooms to shoot off from. Although, like the other set of stairs, light did return, and the pulse of the well lessened to virtually nonexistent.

After a few minutes of steady climbing the temperature would slowly increase, and the waves of heat from a massive fire emanated from the exit. The room that it finally exited from would be best described as a giant furnace with flames raging from within a tight, confined space. The room had been littered with a multitude of these containers. Each one of these had a pillar of steel shooting up through the floor, up to the room above. The same room where the sounds of heavy clangs, metal-against-metal, and muffled but gruff voices had been echoing from. The roof here was low, perhaps only high enough for dwarves, elflings, and the smaller folk to walk comfortably.

The orc furrowed his brows at the heat while he scanned the exit ahead of them.
It was going to be tight squeeze. He was fine with the prison cell he was placed in, and was fine that he was bound at his limbs, but the only danger there was starving, disease and himself. He was comfortable with knowing that something could be ahead of them.
“Someone else go first.” He looked to the others for a volunteer. “I maybe too big to move around.”

(Rolling for move silently with a +3 also what would I roll for sneak? Or something like it? )

Kere nodded to Olruuk. "I'll go ahead. I'm the smallest, it'll be an easy fit for me." She responded stalking forward into what looked to be some sort of smithy. Crouching down she did her best to move quietly and stay out of notice to scout out trouble.

((I think for sneaking you would use Stealth or Move Silently))

Martin, irritated by the slow progress of Kere, pulls his cloak tighter around himself and stalked forward, brushing by the slow moving human. "We need to move, caution is for when we're outside."

Kere arches an eyebrow at Martine, she's clearly not a human as he should have noticed from the odd skin tone, ears, and unusual colored eyes that he had seen before she had pulled up her hood and hidden her face. Annoyed by him brushing past her in the already low, cramped quarters she simply shrugged it off continuing to move quietly forward at a decent pace to allow the group to stay close to her.

Leaving Martin to wander ahead into whatever might lay in waiting for them further on in their unknown surroundings.
