"Thank you, sir." Said Andrew, picking up a sword. "Wow. My first spell ever!" He exclaimed delighted. "And.... Reducto!" He shouted. Nothing. "Reducto!" Still nothing. "Reducto! Reducto! Reducto!" The sword glowed with a strange red tint. "Better than nothing." He said. "I'm only a first year, after all."

My name is: Reyah Kayden Gainsborough 4th year, Hufflepuff
Kayden examined the sword in his hand for a moment, and then scanned the class to see how his fellow classmates are doing it. Observation can help more than one would think. Some of them were red, others were shining with a beautiful green tint. With his wand, Kayden chanted the curse, "Reducto!" The sword glowed red, and Kayden actually smiled. What could he expect when it is his first time? Bracing himself, he tried again.
On his eighth try, the sword started to have a light, greenish tint to it, almost not noticeable to the naked eye unless one scrutinise the object in question. 'Alright, I'm getting there. the brown-haired thought.
However, on the next few tries, the sword went from the greenish tint back to nothing, and he couldn't help but wonder if there's something wrong in the way he's chanting it.

"Thank you very much sir... I'm glad I didn't let you down" Helen shuffled back to her seat and folded into it - she was feeling light-headed at this stage. She decided to take out a small snack to pep her up, and when she went to her bag she found a small tuna sandwich. She could never remember packing anything, but she always did. She hoped the professor wouldn't mind, but I'm sure he wouldn't once she explained her condition to him. She was now looking around the classroom, seeing the more competent witches and wizards working around her. She was glad in a way that she wasn't the only one struggling, but at the same time she wanted nobody to have to struggle... She couldn't wait to start her defensive lessons, as those kind of spells never cost her a seconds thought, nevermind tax her physically. But she had done well enough to succeed - that was all that mattered.

(You need to put your own result, Drago. It can shine bright green but if it's very bright you need to struggle with the next spell abit) Professor Daemon SaDiablo Auror and Professor of Defence Against the Dark Arts "SaDiablo sanguis forver purus donec montes deiectos." "Focus." Daemon said as he circled the room. He watched the students carefully. Some seemed crestfallen but he could see many of the swords that appeared unreactive had the faintest of green tints. For a moment he remembered his own classes with professor Freako and smiled thinly. That woman knew how to teach. "We will be moving along soon. Keep practicing." He returned to Helen, and took a students seat next to her. "Why is it you struggle?" he enquired. "what blocks it?"
"SaDiablo blood will forever be pure, until the mountains are cast down" Leader of the SaDiablo family

Drago looked at the sword and saw that it was red. Anger doesn't help. Stay calm then. As he calmed down he saw that the sword turned back to pink. Taking a deep breath and picturing the sword turn into small shards, he said. "Reducto" The sword started to turn green but stopped when it got to an almost lime green. "Almost." He said to himself. He waited again for it to turn pink. When it did, he did the samething. "Reducto" And it went darker. Every time he said the spell, the sword got darker and darker. On his 15th try, it was completely green. "Now that is green." He said with a smile.

He was a fifth year. How hard could this spell possibly have been for him? He stared at the sword, and getting more and more frustrated, he decided that it was time to concentrate on something other than Fi. He watched the sword carefully, and thought about the spell. He had learned this in Transfiguration. Concentration, arm movement, and force in your voice are all very important factors to getting a spell right. he could get the arm movement without flaw, and the force in his voice had never been an issue, but it really needed concentration. "You can do this. Concentrate. That's all you need." He said all of this very quietly to himself. Turning the wand over in his hand, he did the wand motion, and he said forcefully "Reducto!" That was, of course, when it turned a very dull green, showing that he could do this. He smiled. He was now determined to do this the right way.
After a few more tries, Caiden's sword was glowing the correct color green. All he needed was a little concentration. If felt good for him to be back.

"Maybe I'm saying it wrong." Andrew said, thinking. "Maybe if I... Reducto!" He shouted saying the beginning very softly and yelling the ending with all his might. Nothing. He then tried multiple ways of saying it loudly and softly until his voice cracked. "Glomp." He thought. "There goes my social status that didn't exist." "Reducto?"He whispered with a cringe. The sword began to glow an ugly vomit color. "Hey....." He began happily. "It's somewhat green! Woohoo!"

Azrael Rain 1st Year Hufflepuff~ Azrael listened carefully to the teacher then looked around at the other students for a moment then down at the sword in front of her. She picked up her wand, took a deep breath, exhaled, then called out "Reducto" with emphasis on the C and waved her wand. Nothing happened. She tried again "Reducto" putting emphasis on the O this time. Still nothing happened so she sat for a moment wondering what she should do differently.

Lena
‘Reducto!’ Lena continued on, wand pointed at the sword. ‘Recuto! Reducto!’ With every time the spell was cast, it became easier and easier for her to cast, and soon, instead of only successfully casting it once every fourth try, she did so three out of four times. She was very pleased as she saw the green glow reappear more and more often.

Azrael Rain 1st Year Hufflepuff~ Again she waved her wand "Reducto" this time she noticed a faint green glow. She started waving her wand as close to the same motion as possible and kept repeating "Reducto" a little louder each time and with more conviction as the sword glowed greener each cast.

"I'm afraid I don't know professor.." Helen whispered at him. She was now on the verge of tears, and couldn't understand why. "I don't think that I'm supposed to use offensive magic - I was brought up that way, and I come from a long line of herboligist potion-makers, who made remedies for centuries - it's not in my blood to do anything but help people. I will try harder in classes though, it just might take a while is all..." She felt so embarrassed and also a bit useless - she had nearly failed her first lesson in DADA, what was the rest of the year going to be like?

Saren (Ren) 3rd year Ravenclaw
Ren thinks to herself "I've read about this spell this should be easy." She waves her wand and calmly calls "Reducto." Nothing happens. Ren frowns and tries again, this time concentrating on her wand movement. "Reducto!" she cries and sparks shoot out of her wand. She pauses for a moment to think and then pulls out the book to read more on the spell.

"Okay, let's try this one more time just to make sure I've got it," he muttered. "Now... Reducto," The sword turned lime green. "Yes, Reducto," parrot green now. "One more time... Reducto!" This time the swor turned a handsome emerald color. "Heh, now I've got it. I'll be off now," He said making his way towards the door, forgetting it's closed and bumped into it. "Oww..." He said, annoyed. "Okay now I'm off." Opening the door this time, he strode down the hall, rubbing his head.

"Defense Againts the Dark Arts: Stand In." Piticus LoreA man swung the door's to the Defense Against the Dark Art's room open. "Take your seats, take your seats. Put away all wands and remained focus through out this class." Said the man as he was carrying heavy papers and books. He dropped the books on the desk. "I am Profesor Piticus Lore, refer to me as Profesor Lore, I am the stand in for Professor SaDiablo. He will hopefully return soon." He pushed his glasses up. The sun shine shined in through the windows. His blonde knotted and messy hair up in a ponytail. He wore a log sleeve shirt that was a turtle neck and had a blank expression. "To do we will be taking notes." He said pulling his wand from his sleeve. He swished his wand and the curtains on the window closed, the candles lit and most of them dimmed. He swished it again and a projector turned on. A man's voice sounded, "The defense against the dark arts," the voice of the man said as a slides and video clips showed. "Thirteen facts on the black arts due at the end of class." He said swishing his wand a third time and paper was distributed to all of the students. "Begin." He said sitting behind his new desk putting his wand back into his sleeve. He started on grading papers were the primary teacher took off.
