"Sorry," Davey said, entering the hall again. He'd heard his name called for the chair racing as he'd left, but, well, nature waited for no one. He doubted anyone wanted to hear about the perils of using the bathroom one-handed - particularly not the ladies - so he left his absence unexplained.

Noting Madison looking around, he approached the pink-haired girl again. He looked faintly apologetic (with what anyone could see under the hood) as he asked, "Did I miss anything?"

Bix knew his games were lame. He was also exceedingly aware of his own lameness but he was really good at acting like it didn't matter. He also kind of enjoyed himself in his immaturity. If no one wanted to play but him and Before... well that was just dandy.

"Nice! Imagine this is training now.." He teased Before. "We'll need to move up to you hitting targets with your eyes open." It wasn't too bad an activity if you thought about it like training. They'd been in a situation surrounded by murderous beasts. It wasn't too much to think that being able to shoot while dizzy would be beneficial.

It was like that scene in Battlestar Galactica!

Ah! There he was. Madison tucked a wayward strand of hair behind one ear and smiled at Davey. "Chair races, I think? Do you wanna push? I think I'm better at, uh, sitting. Than pushing." Oh god, she'd lost all her social skills. She blamed all the localized hotness. High school boys she could handle, easily, but these older men got her tongue all in knots.

"Ah, sorry I missed it," Davey said easily enough. Clearly he wasn't all that bothered by missing the game itself, bit he did feel bad for leaving people hanging. Hopefully he and Madison hadn't lost by default.

It was stupid just how satisfied Davey's masculine pride was at being offered the role of pushing in the chair race. It was pushing a chair, for Chrissake. No need to feel like Madison had nominated him for special commendation. But it was the first time that he felt his lack of an arm wasn't an issue, at a time when most people would have made it one.

"Sure, I think I can manage that," he said. He looked away, not really wanting to show off the small smile he knew the hoodie didn't cover. Even as 'the armless guy' he apparently still had a bit of a reputation as a badass going. No need to wreck it by being so emotional over a chair.

Marcus ginned at Cass's question. One one hand he could be suave, on the other-
Kiss her.
No, that is too forward and we're in public
...with tongue

"Hmm, Your prize will come a bit later. I...don't think we'd want a scene." Plus Bix was already shooting him daggers. No need to rile the guy more. Even without Bix's angst Marcus didn't think being all PDA was a good idea, at least right now. A party really wasn't the place for it.

The new game set up and Marcus shrugged. He wasn't a gun type. "nah, I'm not very good with shooting things. That is one game I know I'll lose in. So how about I just double up your prizes for the future?" Another lift of her hand and kiss, and the moon hunter was feeling he should probably head back to his room.
Waving to the others Marcus smiled, "I'm heading out for the night. Nice meet you guys."

"Nah, it's cool," Madison said with a smile. "I don't think there's really strict rules and stuff anyway. Just hanging out and stuff, y'know?"

Hanging out. Not exactly something they'd done a lot of lately, for sure... but god, how she wished there was a mall or a club or some kind of normal place to chill around here. Rather than a hallway. Decorated with toilet paper. It was getting really hard to supress her built-in lameness detector - but what other options did they have?

Bix had drifted away from his own games. There was no harm leaving them up in case anyone was interested. Actually he found one of the office chairs and was rolling himself around on it. Even if this get together was kind of lame, it was the only thing they had all done socially besides any of the various training exercises or dangerous tasks that their 'supervisors' found for them to do.

He wheeled to his dorm door and snatched a bag of chips and a soda, popping them both open and munching loudly. He glanced down towards Jude and Gale but they were just chatting away from the crowd. Before seemed to be struggling with the game, shyness, and the fact that Tika was here. In a moment of exasperation he leaned back, threw his head back over the edge of the headrest, and groaned loudly.

"Gooooooooooooooooooooooooood I wish there was like a movie theater or SOMETHING here. ANYTHING."

He emphasized it with a spin of the chair he was on... and then an 'ACK!' as some of his soda splashed out onto the carpet.

Madison winced as some soda splashed free of the whirling Bix - but she could definitely sympathize with him. "Ugh, I know, right? I mean, I'm sure this is all great, real important, but... I miss, y'know. Stuff."

... Stuff. Well, mostly malls. Stores. Television. Her family... manicures, she missed those too. Movies. Her boyfriend?

Nah. She didn't miss him. Not really.

Davey gave an easy shrug at the mention of movies and other things there were missing. He couldn't say that he didn't miss having things. But this was basic training - no distractions - as opposed to actual field deployment, where for some reason things like big screen tvs and game systems had become standard for every outpost. Maybe once they proved themselves, they'd be allowed a bit more freedom or a few extra luxuries.

In the meantime...

"We could always keep an eye out for whatever equipment they have here," he suggested. "Surely someone would have a tv or a projector for lectures or something. We could just... borrow it, when it's not in use."
