Visiting Pyroth
Billy is horrified by the prospect of their horrific fates

Billy's mood seemed physically inable to stay level. Maybe it was the island getting to him. Maybe it was the tentacles coming from his body. Maybe it was the pure seafood diet he had addopted. He was betting on his stash still locked away in someone else's room, sad and lonely without his nose to keep it warm.

Suddenly, he remembered a name, a furry face and a number- and an invitation for smoking. Idly, Billy changed his course to head towards Pyroth's duplex, knocking on the door once he arrived.

Pyroth had barely left his duplex since he had changed, only really leaving to fetch food from the cafeteria. It wasn't that he feared others seeing him like this, he was used to odd looks and with the island in it's current stage of progress he was just as likely to meet someone else as strange looking as he was as a normal unchanged islander. He had been spending a lot of his time drawing (having come up with a way to hold the pencil in his odd hands), drinking, writing and smoking. The days were painfully boring but he could deal with boredom, at least it was predictable.

At the moment Billy came up to the duplex, Pyroth had been sitting finishing up an intricate image of a pheonix drawn for the sake of it, one of the old mascots of the tattoo parlour he had worked in along with Khan's trademark tiger. He glanced up at the knocking, his ears perking, putting the joint he'd been smoking out in the ashtray.

He shoved off the bed and onto his unsteady feet, actually having to use his tail as a counterbalance so he didn't just fall over. He opened the door, and grinned.

"Hey Billy, how are things? Come on in."

He was well aware of the fact he'd changed quite a lot since last he saw the other man, but he didn't even mention it.

Billy, though, froze at the sight of his friend, "Ach... Lad... yer... ah..." He motioned towards hisnose, his eyes wide and unable to communicate what he was feeling properly. "Er... yer a wee bit.. ach... er..."

Pyroth grinned, it dawning that he probably did look significantly different than he had "Yeah, I'm a bit more of an odd shape than I was before." he frowned "Apparently I rested on my laurels too soon, thought they wouldn't take it past animal-like enhancements."

He shrugged (as best he could with his odd shoulderblades) "But whatever, I'll deal, have done before, and last time I didn't have pot to tide me through the lazy days."

Still, he didn't say the other thought which ran through his mind, which was that seeing him like that might have been a bit worse for Billy because of what might still be to come.

"Bu'... ye're... ye're a bloody dog!" Billy sputtered, taking a shocked step backward. Sure, people seemed to be growing the odd fang and claw and scale... but the previously furry man was.... not so much a man anymore! He was something out of an old disney movie brought to life horrifically!

to be continued...

Not having heard hide nor hair about how Billy and his missing limb, Antony figured she best go visit him to see if he were alive. So there she was, standing on his front stoop after having knocked on the door, leaning against the railing lazily.

"C'min'!" Came a cry from the other side, followed by an odd sound similar to a catastophe of noise.

Antony raised her eyebrow at the noise, but opened the door and stepped inside anyways, closing it behind her.

Billy hadn't done much to decorate his duplex yet, the bare necesities the place came with and his sparce belongings dotting a shelf or a drawer. The air was thick with the smell of cigarettes and a faint amount of pot. He himself was sitting back on his bed, shirtless, with a squeezebox in his mutated hands. "I've go' half as many fingers now so it's been a real b***h," He grumbled, attempting another chord that sounded slightly less sour.

Antony gave the squeeze box in his hand a strange stare before shaking her head and glancing to his tentacle, or rather, where his tentacle should have been. That and the faint smell of pot got her attention, and she pointed a finger accusingly at him, "Share the pot." And yes, it was a demand.

"I woul' bu' it aint mine," He glanced up with a snicker, shaking his head. He looked back down at his hands again, his tentacles aligned with his arms in an attempt to press the buttons his missing fingers couldn't reach with his suckers gently and the chord sounded a bit clearer.

Wincing at the noise the 'instrument' in his hands made, the tattooed womon gave a disgrunted grunt at the lack of pot news before moving to sit on the edge of his bed. "How's the..." She motioned towards his stump but made sure not to look at it for too long.

"Wha', this?" He shrugged, giving it an eery wiggle where it rested sorely onhis lap. Already it looked a bit... different. Vegually swollen only... not... just... a hair longer than she had remembered him cutting it, but not much longer.

"No, the other tentacle you chopped off with a broken rum bottle," she rolled her eyes before kicking her shoes off and bringing her legs to tuck under her rear for now.

"I' hurts li' bloody hell is how it is, Lass," He grumbled, settling back again to fiddle with his instrument.

"No s**t Sherlock," she muttered before rolling her eyes at his box and flopping back on the bed, bringing her feet in front of her so she could lift her a** of the bed and retrieve her cigarettes and lighter from her back pockets.

He glanced up at them, eyebrows raised, "Y'go' a nother one o' them?"

"It's your lucky day," she said as she pulled out a second smoke for him, the other dangling from her lips as she lit it, remembering to hold the lighter out for him afterwards.

He thankfully leaned in, puffing it alight with a relieved sigh, "I'm all out o' 'em."
