Cat beamed proudly, scooping the white blur back up into his arms before it managed to dash away and hide again, accepting the prize with a puffed out chest and a little extra self-importance on his expression.

Well, he hadn't technically won, but a tie was just as good, so long as he got a prize for it.

"Well played~" He turned to Demi, unable to offer any limb for a handshake, instead offering a Smile.

Vero probably would have slid out of sight by now to nurse his weak upper body woes if it wasn't for Astro.

Seriously, the wishing cousin was all up in getting in Aurora's business, whether she was all eyes on Hound or not. It made a sort of sound that . . . was it a come on? Vero couldn't tell.

Something like "Heeeeeey, babyyyyyyyy".

"We have no control," it said wistfully to Ulmuka.

Demi hide his chuckling as best as he could from the injured Roch, even if it wasn't perfect. "Fences Roch? Really?" sometimes, he just didn't know what the boil was thinking. He bared his teeth when the reaper promptly told him to shut up. "Oh bite me rope boy, come back later and maybe we could train together." he finished snarkily and waved to boil goodbye.

he never really received praise before and had flushed at Sleuth's kinds words, and gave Regal a ruffle on his ears for a job well done. "Why, thank you." he mumbled out softly and accepted his prize graciously with a shaky hand. "I can accept a tie with the feline over here." he said after a pause, hiding his blush under more jokes and a carefree smirk to the ribboned Boil in return.

"We have caught the humorous end of your joke and acknowledge your wit." This apparently took the place of laughing. Actually, had Vero smiled at all throughout this entire festival? Nawp. Ulmuka's hand seemed to be quite a burden, though, as the little spirit bent over a little - shamefully, even. Thank Jack the strix hadn't seen its awful first try at the weights; the cackling would have been demoralizing.

Astro, however, seemed to stand straighter at Aurora's attentions, flashing a grin as his wings twitched. Apparently letting the lady win was a good idea; because that's what totally happened. He didn't lose so bad it had been erased from his mind; nope, it was just him being a gentleman, as always.

Maybe the lil' lady would go for another run about the track?

"We do not understand the whims of minipets, especially that one," Vero continued. "Though we have observed that Astro does this with many of the females. It is almost instinctual."

Poor boil! Marosa saw the way the one reacted to the spider, and felt a bit sorry for him. He really didn't understand why some were so afraid of spiders, especially when one was just so tiny and cute.

He grinned at his own again and patted it gently on the head. He'd have to figure out a name for it.

"'Cute' . . . ?" What was "cute" in the manner of procreation? Be it with the traditional pumpkin or finding parts at the local graveyard, or simply existing thanks to a new source of FEAR, Vero didn't quite understand what its friend was getting at. Or why Astro decided to follow a little behind Aurora with a sort of hurrrrrr look on his face.

"We would prefer no more minipets than we have," it answered honestly. "If more turn out like Astro, especially." The matter of obtaining a ghoul- or boilfriend was honestly just science to the spirit; having to deal with the oggling portion, though, was . . . awkward. If something ever happened to it like that, Vero hoped it wouldn't be so mindless.

Marosa glanced around to see if Sleuth was still around, rubbing his sore cheek gingerly. He'd just gotten back from punching tables and hitting clocks, and was pretty much the worse for wear, limping in and trying not to let it show.

What was this? Seahorses that needed a home? And to be trained to be THE VERY BEST LIKE NO ONE EVER WAS? Sure, why not.
