Lyra walked to the spot where she felt the surge of power the most, but Kaezae was nowhere to be found. Sighing, Lyra found and bench and sat down. The run in with Cole had tired her, and all she wanted to do was wake up from this nightmare and have things the way they used to be.

He's too far gone. There's no saving him..

Lyra shook her head trying to rid he mind of the negative thoughts. As long as she was alive, she'd try to save him.

It should've been me anyway.

Lyra finally just cleared her mind and she soon felt a presence walking with two children. Lyra smiled. Just like her. She stood and broke into a run, hopping that Kae wouldn't run into any trouble.

Nel sighed on the inside as Leo really didn’t have a clue of how vast the humans were. He was thinking on a small scale when he needed to be thinking on a much grander one. Either way, it was up to him to make it happen and she wasn’t going to hold his hand through it since he wanted the responsibility. He was also overestimating the reasoning of a matured scientific mind. Either he would find a way to make it work or it would backfire in his face and he would need another plan. She gave him her attention when he spoke her name and voiced his concerns about Veronica. So she has been acting weird, she thought to herself before giving a slight shrug. “Sounds like suicide to me. You should ask her why she hates herself or what makes her want to die. Her state of mind could very well affect your mission.” She stood up and walked over to the metal door that contained the stairs, though paused with her hand on the knob as she spoke without looking at Leo. “I’m glad you’ve found a reason to dress up, though don’t forget which priorities come first. He won’t give you forever to finish this mission and neither will I.” She then pulled the door open and disappeared into the darkness, letting it slam shut behind her as she started the long descent down the stairs.

Veronica sensed the angel's power and presence. She saw her walking in the park and Veronica eyed her warily. It'd be so easy just to walk over and ask her. Veronica was afraid of rejection though. What if Lyra couldn't change her back? What if she was stuck in this evil state forever? No, she had to ask. Veronica walked up to Lyra. "Hello." she said awkwardly. What did you say to angel when you wanted to be changed back?

Lyra stopped running when she heard someone behind her. She turned to see a girl standing there with wings as black as night. She eyed the girl curiously. She had come alone and looked unarmed.

"Hello." Lyra replied.

Crap! Veronica was scared. Terrified was a better word for it. "You're Lyra right?" she asked the girl. That was stupid Veronica told herself. Of course it was her, how could it not be. "I'm Veronica." she said plainly. This was a lot harder than she thought it would be. A lot harder.
PostPosted: Mon Aug 15, 2011 5:05 pm

Lyra smiled at the girl. "Hello Veronica. Yes, I'm Lyra. I take it that you are a friend of Cole's?" she asked. She then thought that mentioning Cole might have been a mistake and she asked another question. "Is there something I can help you with?"

Veronica smiled weakly. She had to convince herself that she wanted this. She did want this. No you don't. You like being evil. Why do you want to go back to that prissy life where you want to be perfect? Her evil side was talking to her. Veronica pushed back. I want this, I know I do. "Lyra," her voice was wavering. "Can you change-" she was crumpling as her Fallen self screamed in her ear. Veronica clutched her head. "Shut up!" she screamed loudly. Veronica took a desperate step toward Lyra. "Please." she begged of her. NO, stop! b***h, you love being evil!!! "Change me back Lyra!" Veronica managed as she fell to the ground. The voice in her head was so loud. So demanding. b***h! You b***h! Do you think he'll want you back? That's right, James. do you think he ever loved you? You left him. Do you think he'll forgive you?

Leo was left standing on the rooftop. He knew that Veronica would be no help in his current situation after today and he wasn't going to let that stand in his way. He thought about the priorities first thing that Nelec mentioned and he had to come up with a plan and fast. The clock is ticking and if it wasn't performed soon Satan would be knocking at his door. He went down the steps and it seemed like forever before he reached the bottom. He took out his pocket watch and looked at the time. By now Emily should've been finished with everything, so he made his way over to her apartment. By now the sun was setting. He made his way over to Emily and the stars were out. The night sky was beautiful and this would make for a beautiful date. He ran the buzzer and told her that he was there. She buzzed him in and he peacefully made his way up the stairs. Nothing was going to bother him tonight and he wouldn't allow it. He knocked on the door only to find it open with the light touch Leo had performed. He walked in and closed the door.

"Em?" he said in a loud tone to tell her that he was there.
"I'm in the bathroom finishing up my hair." she said in a beautiful voice as she set down the curling iron
Leo made his way down the hall to find her standing in front of the mirror in an elegant Satin Red dress. She looked as if she was going to a royal ball. She could play the part of a princess and Leo was astounded. He saw what he was attracted to the first time he met Emily and he felt like he could melt. Leo walked closer and gave her a hug and a light kiss on the cheek. "You look beautiful." he said in an awe filled voice. This was unusual for Leo and he knew it. He just couldn't hide the way he felt at the time.
"Well you're not looking to shabby yourself there handsome." she said in an enticing voice as she gazed into his eyes. She turned around to finish what she was doing. She sprayed perfume on and lead Leo out of the bathroom.

They went down the hall into the main room of the house. She grabbed her purse off the bookshelf along with her keys. "Are you ready?" she said as she grabbed the door handle. "I'm as ready as I will ever be.' he said as he held her hand and locked the door for her. They made their way outside and began walking towards 'Chez Antionette'. Emily was enjoyed french cuisine as much as Leo did and that's what he chose for the night. "So where are we headed tonight darling? Or is it a surprise?" she said in a happy manner as they walked hand in hand. "You know how I like to surprise you Em." he said in a jokingly manner. He wasn't sure if Emily thought it was a date or just a nice dinner between friends, but then again neither was he. Leo intended to make it a nice dinner, but he wanted what he once had with Emily. They made their way down 35th Street and Leo sensed a dark power. It was calm, yet dark, so he knew exactly who it was. It became stronger and stronger as if it were heading right towards them. He could see in a distance that Marhyse was approaching them. If it sensing her power didn't give it away the humans did. He could hear chatter amongst them about how they could see her, as if it were a big deal. "Did you hear that? The Design model Marhyse is heading right this way!" Emily said in a cheerful voice and she acted like she was going to burst with joy. He remembered how she was a big fan of her, but what she didn't know was that Leo is now good friends with her. "She is huh? Maybe your dream of meeting her will finally come true." he said in a semi-surprised manner. "And what makes you think that?" she said confused but still excited. "Remember Em. I'm always full of surprises." They continued to walk and drew closer to her by the second.

Nel walked down the sidewalk with a sway in her hips and posture that the general populace of women could only wish for. Even though it was night, the curly blonde hair that flowed down her back seemed to sparkle in some way as her pale skin seemed to glow from the street lights as well as being in contrast with all the black that she had on. She made other models look bad so it never surprised her when people whispered as she passed. In fact, she had become so used to it that she barely noticed anymore unless someone actually approached her. What she did notice, however, was the presence of Leo. As she neared him she noticed that he had female by his side. It didn’t take a brain surgeon to tell her that they were out on a date and the woman clad in red was the reason for Leo ditching his normal wear for more fancy clothing. “Leodonius, imagine running into you,” she stated in a pleasant and friendly, yet mellow and soft tone as she gave him a smile before turning her eyes upon the woman. “And who might this lovely miss be?” She had loosely laced her fingers together in front of her out of habit as she spoke, though she gracefully dropped one had to her side as she offered the other to Leo’s date. Her long, black sleeve covered the majority of her hand, save to her fingertips, but she didn’t think the woman would take it as an insult, "I'm Marhyse. Acquaintance of Sir Leo."

Leo gave a friendly nod to Nelec as she addressed him. "Marhyse, this is my close friend Emily, and also one of your biggest fans." Leo said as he looked over at Emily. Emily was in pure shock at the fact that Leo and Marhyse knew each other. She didn't know what to say as she tried to speak. Every time she tried nothing came out. Leo said to her in a pleasant tone, "Isn't that right babe?" Emily finally came to her sense and politely shook Marhyse's hand. "Y-yes. Yes I am. It's a pleasure to meet you." Leo stood there while they greeted each other. "I'm not trying to sound like a typical fan, but I just love your work. I read every article that has featured you, and I have also collected many of your posters." She started to talk faster than what her brain could process. She stopped, before continuing. "Sorry about that. I'm just so shocked right now. How do you know Leo? Did you meet him when he left on business?" she was now curious as to how they knew each other. After she was finished, Leo spoke in the 'I told you so voice', "See Marhyse. I wasn't lying was I?" He chuckled a little. "It has been her dream to meet you since you first became a model. If I'm not wrong, it was the fact of you being different from every other model that drew her attention, right?" he asked Emily as he held her hand. "Yes it has." she said on cue. They waited for Marhyse to take in what they had just said. Emily couldn't help but admire her beauty, as Leo acted like it was just another run in with a friend.

“It is a great pleasure to meet you, Emily,” she stated as she shook the woman’s hand and gave her a bow of her head. She listened as Emily spoke, putting on a surprised smile as she brought a hand up to her chest and acted flattered. She had been through the motions so much that she deserved a Grammy for her performance. “Oh, please. You flatter me,” she stated to Emily as she turned her head away shyly and even had the nerve to turn pink as she blushed a little. When she asked about Leo, her eyes went wide and bright as if she just had a good story to tell. “Well, it was quite the situation,” she stated excitedly, “I had just arrived in the city and checked into my hotel. The limo that I was taking to the show was very late and I couldn’t get in touch with the driver for my dear life. I certainly couldn’t be late for the show so I tried to flag down a taxi. Leo saw that I was having a hard time and he was so very kind and let me take the taxi that he had. I was so grateful that I gave him a front row ticket to the fashion show and accompanied him backstage so that he could meet some of the designers. I told him if he ever needed anything to just let me know.” She gave a soft smile as she turned her attention to Leo, “You really saved me that day. I won’t ever forget it.” Her voice was full of gratitude as she spoke to Leo before giving her attention back to Emily. “The only one he spoke about the entire time was a woman named Emily who he wished could be by his side as he was just certain that she would have had the time of her life.” He was so going to owe her for this one, especially since they both had more important matters to tend to other than impressing some human. “I’m afraid I must be moving along. I have some business to tie up at Design before we close for the night. Leo, you should bring Emily by some time. I’m quite sure I can pull some strings and make an appointment for her with Alec.” She continued to smile a soft, cheerful smile as she took both of Emily’s hands in hers and leaned over and touched each side of her cheek to Emily’s like she did with people in the business. “It was most wonderful to meet you. Ciao.” With that, she continued to saunter on her merry little way toward Design.

Lyra watched as the girl crumpled before her. Change me back! she'd screamed. Did she dare help Veronica, one who had so rightfully chosen evil. Lyra looked up at the sky. "You must ask him for forgiveness." She turned and began to walk away. "If you need me Veronica, you know how to find me." She then disappeared behined a crowd of people and started running again. She had to find Kaezae.

Emily was in pure shock as Marhyse walked away. It was as if it was a dream for both of them. Leo didn't expect to see Nelec and Emily didn't expect to meet her idol. Leo definitely owed Nel big for what she just did, but at least it took the edge off of things. Nelec finally saw that Leo was not always a bad guy and that there's a different side to him. They continued walking to the restaurant and Emily stopped. "You are something else Leo. Why didn't you tell me that you knew her?" she said as Leo tried to come up with an answer. "Well Em. I haven't talked to you in a while and I wanted to surprise you one day" he said as if that was the only thing he could think of. Emily didn't catch it, since all she could think about was how good of a guy Leo was. If only she knew who he was, let alone what he was. She grabbed Leo's hand again and gazed into his eyes before saying, "Leo why did you have to leave? I thought things were going well and I loved you Leo, and I still do.". By now her eyes teared over. Leo wiped her eyes before the tears fell. Leo was not expecting this to happen. He didn't need this right now. Yeah he felt the same way, but it wasn't the time. "Emily. You know I feel the same way. I always have, but I had too. It was for the best remember? But trust me on this one. I am going to make up for it soon." by this time Leo was actually feeling compassion and hated himself for causing Emily to feel this way. Leo could care less about any other human. He could cause one of them to die in a heart beat and would feel no remorse. There was just something that he felt about Emily that caused the Angel side to surface. When he was around Emily he was the typical Angel. Leo then passionately grabbed Emily's face and kissed her. The Leo that God wanted him to be had finally surfaced tonight, but it would disappear by tomorrow. He planned on leaving tonight to embark on his mission. The mission that would prove to Satan and the group that he was indeed a fallen and nothing else.

After sharing the kiss, they walked down the street as if they were the only people on the block. They arrived at the restaurant and shared an elegant dinner. They had a few drinks afterwards, and then they left. Leo walked Emily back to her apartment and went inside. He made sure everything was alright with Emily before he talked to her about leaving. "So when am I going to see you next?' she said as they shared a glass of wine. Emily wanted what they once had back and deep down inside of Leo, so did he. "As soon as I get back from a business trip darling." he said as he fixed the ring on his hand. "Promise? You said something similar last time and I never saw you again until today." Leo was now feeling even worse about what he had done and this made him uncomfortable. He wasn't a big fan of the human emotions that he had to learn to feel, but he it would soon change. Leo took of the ring and put it in Emily's hand. He closed her fingers around it with his hand and looked her straight in the eyes. "I promise. Take this ring as my word." His voice was now a passionate yet deep voice. "I have to go now. I gotta catch a flight tonight. Remember what I said Em. I will make up for what I did." Leo stood up and softly grabbed Emily's hand and stood her up. They hugged and shared a moment of silence before Leo left.

Once he was outside he took out his cell phone. He looked through the contacts for Nelec's number and called it. It rang and rang, before her voice mail picked up. After the beep he left a short but important message: Hey it's Leo. I'm leaving tonight. I'll let you know when I get everything together and when to watch CNN for my big story. Leo put the touch lock back on and put it in his pocket. He went home to get everything ready for the plan that he was still putting the final touches on. He would do so during the flight. Once he was packed Leo called for a private jet to meet him at the airport. Leo arrived and he was soon on his way to gaining the respect that he desperately wanted.

Finally after finishing up fallen business and Design business, Nel walked through the front door of her house. After locking the door behind her and turning on a light here and there, the tired model made her way to the back to undress and enjoy a hot shower. She emerged from the bathroom some time later wearing a pink, short, silk, spaghetti string nightie as she dried her hair off with a towel and walked barefoot toward the kitchen. As she entered the living room, she felt the presence of someone and saw a figure out the corner of her eye. She stopped walking and let the towel hang around her shoulders as she turned her head to look at the man sitting on her couch. “Two visits in one day? What did I do to merit such an honor,” she stated sarcastically as she watched the man uncross his legs and put both feet on the floor as he slowly stood. He was still wearing the same fancy outfit she had seen him in earlier.

“Have care of your tongue, Nel,” Satan stated as he casually made his way over to the blonde haired fallen, “else I’ll rip it out and eat it as a snack.” His words didn’t hold a threat, though they did hold a promise of such things.

“I beg your forgiveness,” she stated in a much more sincere tone as her heart started to quicken in pace with each step that he took that put him closer to her. “How may I serve you?” Her words were still bold as if she respected him though didn’t fear him; they both knew better.

He walked up behind her and placed his hands on her smooth, soft shoulders as he put his head close to hers, closed his eyes and breathed in the scent of her freshly washed hair. “Do you take me as a fool, Nel? Thinking that I don’t realize that you still hold onto the hope of one day making it back to Heaven? Isn’t that why you don’t pester the humans like the other fallen?”

She wanted to jump out of her skin when he touched her, but she didn’t. She stood there, steady as a rock though doing her best to try and look behind her without having to move any part of her body. “I don’t know what you mean. Cole doesn’t bother anyone. Why do you accuse me of such things? Have I not been loyal to you?”

“Cole is fueled by his sheer hatred. Nothing is sweeter on my tongue than when I drink down all of that negative energy knowing that it will soon be replenished,” he stated in his deep voice as he moved her hair to one side and placed his mouth by her ear. “Have you been loyal to me, Nel? Or have you just been doing enough to get by. Enough so that maybe what you have done won’t be too wrongful in His eyes. Isn‘t that you have the lackeys do your job so that you won‘t have to get too involved.” He then stuck his wet, serpent like tongue into her ear as his hands slid from her shoulders down to her waist.

Nel closed her eyes and drew in a deep breath before slowly letting it out as she did her best to stop the shiver that wanted to run down her spine. It took her a moment to speak as she had to find her voice. She wanted it to come out strong and bold, like it had been, but instead it came out shaky and quiet. “What do I need to do to prove myself to you?” It seemed like she had been doing a lot lately with none of it being good enough. Perhaps it was because she did hold on to that small amount of hope. It wasn’t like she thought she had deserved to become fallen for what she did.

“There is a religious sect that is growing quite popular. The shameful thing is that they aren’t teaching what they want to so much as they’re teaching the actual truth about things.” His hands moved from her waist down to her thighs as he continued to speak, “I want you to stop them and to turn them towards me. Show them that no human is able to keep his integrity and will easily give up on what they believe should the right circumstance present itself. In the words you told Leonidus, this is up to you to carry out and if you don‘t fix this mess what do you think I‘ll do to you.” That being said, he suddenly disappeared as if he had never been there in the first place.

Nel remained standing for a moment after he was gone before suddenly sinking to the floor on her knees and placing her hands over her ears. She could still feel his hot breath on her skin and his hands on her body. Not to mention his tongue. She allowed that shiver that she had held back on to work its way through her body as she lay on the floor in the fetal position with her eyes closed and knees pulled tightly to her body. She didn’t want to do what he wanted and he knew that. He had always known that, which was why he made her do the worst things he could think of that he would entrust to someone else. Failing him wasn’t an option and neither was turning down an order. She had never turned down an order, so much as get someone else to do it for her or make them think they were special by carrying out the task. Though, she wasn’t able to worm her way out of this one. He had given it to her personally and with reason.

Veronica couldn't believe what she was hearing. Lyra couldn't help her. After Lyra left a rage filled up in Veronica. She was back, and she was pissed. After all that and Lyra couldn't even help her. You know what? She didn't even want it. Stubbornly she kicked a bench and marched over to Leo's furious.

Veronica walked straight through Leo's door. She stomped through the house and into her room. She hoped he would come out and ask what was wrong so she could yell at him. She needed to take her anger out on someone. Hopelessly she stared at the glass window. The need to punch the glass window overcame her and she walked up and punched it. Unfortunately, it didn't shatter. Where was a hammer when she needed one? Frustratingly she ripped the lamp's cord out of its outlet and threw it at the window. That did the trick. A million pieces of glass fell out into the street below, and she thought she heard a hobo curse. "God damn it. Yes, I'm using your name in vain. How do you like me now? b***h." she stared upward in agony. She hated God. Hated him with a passion. With every fiber inside her soul.
