As the conversation stopped from Saikoro placeing his hands on Ishinon and Nova's shoulders, Nova felt a cold chill run down his back. Unsure of what to say he remained quiet and to himself. Moments later he noticed the man walk over to Notwen and utter a few words. Notwen seemed a bit uneasy about the words that Saikoro said but then procceded to manover his way over to where the two genin were sitting. It seemed to Nova that Notwen was a bit out of it and lost in something. "Many people don't really know what they want to be when they first start out but it has always been my dream to become a great shinobi and i have dedicated every part of myself to this dream so yea its easy for me to be so confident but don't get it wrong i do have my douts sometimes. I just try to stick to the positives tho. But hey does Notwen seems a bit distracted. I think it may be because of that guy that just asked us if we seen those people." He said to Ishinon unsure of what to do. He sat back in the chair and waited for the next part of the conversation to unfold.

"Honestly, I wouldn't call it badass. Its like a child hiding in the closet even though his friends gave up trying to find him. He's not winning anymore, he stopped winning a while ago. If it were me, I'd-" Kyu's voice was cut off by a shill shout from the television. Kyu's head darted in its direction to see Hatsuma held up by a crazy weapon Takera had in his arsenal. Although the words were tough to hear over the chattering crowds, Kyu saw a side of Hatsuma he didn't even know existed. She looked weak and cowardly, she seemed so unwilling to fight back.

"The hell?" Kyu said, his eyes transfixed on the screen. "That's not the Hatsuma I met in the last round... She was strong in mind and body, but right now... she's a utter mess." Kyu weighed the stats of the two in his head, then muttered, "Last time I saw Takera, he was a weak-a** ninja. To go from scraping-by as a shinobi to bringing a talented kunoichi to her knees..."

Kyu looked over his shoulder and down at Sai, "Yo, bro. I know I probably don't need to tell you this, but kick that Takera kid's a** out there. I got a damn good feeling he deserves it badly."

"That... honestly... made no sense at all. I think that's the most moronic way of thinking of a traitor hiding amongst you. But, then again I don't care." Saikoro said simply, not seeming to care about what was going on in the battle as he continued to keep his eyes closed. Taking a large yawn, he rolled himself to sit on the couch, "Hn? Sure, whatever. Don't curse my name or hate yourself at night if he dies cause of it though." He said with a louder yawn then the first before raising up to his feet, one hand gripping the handle of his blade as he dragged behind him easily as he left the room for his final match.

After being treated in the medical tent Hatsuma made her way to the VIP area adorning new bandages across her torso, there was no serious damage at most a bruise and a cracked rib, such was the way of battle though. Her demeanor was that of its normal nature. Stoic and without emotion as she took a seat at corner of the VIP area. She had passed someone earlier who was likely on their way to the championship match with the enemy she had just fought. She felt a sense of relief that she didn't have to confront the man. She couldn't put her finger on it but he had immense power dwelling within and it may have ended badly for her given her lack of power against her last opponent. Unlike Hatsuma, he had made it through the majority of his matches through skill not because someone had not felt like fighting. Her match-ups were gradually worse and worse as her opponents never fought to their fullest feeling some sort of uninterested in the fights themselves. She had heard through the hall that their was a death in the semi-finals so it was a good bet the man had issues holding back at all, or perhaps he was, whatever the case he would be a dangerous person to cross. most in the room right now were all familiar to her from the first portion of the exam save a few, she spotted Oasis and gave a simple wave not raising her arm to high due to the occasional surge of pain from her chest. it was clear fighting other people was different from dealing with the over power beasts in her home as they had patterns that were known to her. Humans each had their own pattern and everyone was unique in their own manner. the shriveled husk on the battlefield didn't even exist in her mind and if others thought it a part of her true demeanor she wouldn't argue otherwise. avoiding pointless injury was the goal and using a 'breakdown' of sorts would cause others to lower their guard about her leaving her a good opportunity to strike them in their downed state.

Ishinon got kinda confused as he and Nova was suddenly interrupted by someone placing his hands on there shoulders, asking them about something Ishinon didn't know about. Ishinon remained silent until this one had left the two of them alone. Ishinon listened as Nova began to talk again, it felt weird to Ishinon but it sort of made sense aswell, since Nova was different. Yet Ishinon began to understand what a goal really meant with that. So you mean your doubting your goal ? I never thought you would Nova, but I guess i kinda understand, it was like the dream i had about being free in the past. I believed in it but also doubted it would ever happen, until it finally happened. Just wish they would have actually caught the leaders behind the arena that kept me as a slave for I don't know how many years.

Ishinon's voice trembled a little as as he spoke about not capturing the leaders behind the arena, he wasn't even sure if he was allowed to speak about that fact. It brought back the time he had been interrogated in the village about his time as a slave in the arena as most of the slaves didn't actually survive, from how bad of a state they were in. It meant a lot to Ishinon to have someone he could talk with, that was something similair to him. I don't think I should try to run away from my past anymore, and rather accept it, I don't really know if it's any better but I believe it will please the people I killed in the arena that I don't try and forget them, or their faces that haunts me. Ishinon's words felt like they were honest, yet he didn't know if he truely believed in what he said to Nova and seemingly Notwen whom seemed a bit distracted after joining them again or something like that, Ishinon wasn't sure.

Notwen blinked a few times to re-moisturize his eyes after having kept them open for a about a minute or two without noticing. The first thing he noticed was that Nova and Ishinon were still talking, which meant they were still oblivious to the what was going on around them. He sighed, a little annoyed at the fact that he would have to bring certain things to their attention. Turning his head in the direction of the young chatterboxes, the dark-skinned blonde cleared his throat.
"Alright guys enough's enough." he said quietly, yet sternly. "You've done nothing but talk since i introduced you to each other. Don't get me wrong. I understand you are both practical strangers and are starting to become more comfortable with each other, but there is another reason why i brought you both up here." Notwen rolled his head on his shoulders, loosening his muscles before continuing his reprimand. "As the second wave of genin in Lightning Country, it is up to you guys to learn as much as you can from those who came before you, those being myself and every other contestant in these exams." The crippled Uchiha flourished his arm in an arch that would signify everyone else in the room. "Nova, i left you here on your own hoping that you would be able to tell me any information about those i might be fighting in the next round. You have no idea how disappointed i was to find out you were asleep for a good portion of the matches. Ishinon, again i understand that you're fairly new to being a ninja, but we are ninja. Our senses need to be in tune to what's going on around us. Did you two know that someone died just now? A moment of silence was issued, yet you two were the only ones still talking. Neither of you were watching the monitors so i'm pretty sure you don't know the identity of the killer. Well i'll let you two figure that one out." Notwen took a swift glance at the monitor broadcasting Hatsuma's fight with Takera and saw that the match had ended with the former's forfeit. How strong is this Takera guy? he thought. I know how powerful Sand shinobi can be, but he's really bulldozing through us like it's nothing... In any case, that means the tournament is about to come to a close. The arachnid kunoichi entered the room at that point, and Saikoro was nowhere to be found. There was a loud cheer coming from the stands as the final arena, which was just a plain field was revealed. Notwen closed his eyes, and when he reopened them his sapphire blue sharingan was blazing, the three purple tomoe circling slowly around the iris of each eye before coming to a halt. "The moment of truth is upon us. This next match is hopefully going to be the most explosive. The two of you are free to continue your conversation until the match begins. From then on you are not to allowed to say anything until the fight is over. I want you guys to study as much of their movements as you can, and take in as much information as to what is going on in the battle." The dark-skinned blonde turned towards the screen showing the fighting field. Both Saikoro and Takera were on his sights now. This was the best chance he had to dissect their fighting styles and study their battle mannerisms. His sharingan was not very powerful, but he would be able to see the way they moved once the fight began. "One more thing. If you want to use the bathroom now would be a good time."

As Oasis silently meditated her long ears picked up on the conversations happening in the room around her. She wasn't completely aware that someone had died in the exams, and was really rather shocked about it. However it wasn't surprising that she didn't know. Even before deciding to sit down and meditate she had already tuned out most of the outside world.
Oasis took a deep breath, she had decided to engage in some spiritual training. She needed to increase her capabilities anyway, so why not take advantage of the silence and the fact that absolutely everyone was ignoring her for the most part. She pressed her hands together and the markings on her body glowed ever so faintly as she entered the state required for the mental training.
"I had rather expected you to come here sooner." Said the all to familiar voice of Itoku, the large white rabbit who had been with Hatsuma and Oasis until this event had begun.
Oasis looked at Itoku incredulously tipping her head to the side "So, then... My Itoku didn't tell you about what happened earlier?" she questions curiously as she looked to the tall white rabbit.
"...Your? The little sneak, I knew he wouldn't be able to resist coming out..." Itoku states in an all too obviously annoyed tone of voice. He paced about in the incorporeal spiritual training area. "Well we will talk about that later. First we need to train somewhere more, effective." he states as he swung a hand and the area changed.
In the real world Oasis slumped in her sitting posture as she was pulled into the more powerful training area by Itoku. Oasis looked around at the new area, it held a wide grassy plain in the middle and all about the perimeter were massive trees. One area of the tree line was over taken by a jutting of stone, water ran down the face of the tall standing cliff creating a rather impressive water fall which cascaded into a crystal clear basin at the bottom. "This really is alot different from what I'm used to." She states as she looked around at it. "Its not like wind country, or well, where everyone says my real mom is from either." She states curiously as she touched the grass which felt for all the world entirely real.
"Well, just because we are contracted by the nomads, specifically those from the frost caravan it doesn't mean that their land is our home as well. This is the spiritual realm of the hare." Itoku states as he took his mask off and threw it into the grass behind him. "You seem to focus alot into your taijutsu aspects." he states as he moved into a simple tall stance holding one hand forward the other loose at his side. "However its my intent right now to tell you, thats not the best course of action for you." he states as he pointed his hand forward in a semblance of the serpent hand position. "You are meant to be a ranged fighter. If you feel otherwise, come at me, try and break my guard." He states, which confused Oasis. He didn't even look like he was guarding the stance was that for an attack. She blinked a few times and tipped her head to the side.
"An, what if I don't wanna try and break your guard." she states curiously a light smirk on her face. Itoku chuckled in response before kicking a rock up from the ground at his feet and with a serpent strike hit the rock and sent it sailing at Oasis. Who with no time to react of think snapped it out of the air and spun about before launching it right back at Itoku who sliced it in half with his extended hand. "Hey, you threw a rock at me." she griped without realizing what he had shown her.
"Yea I did. Yet instead of just blocking the rock your reaction was to throw it at me. Not swat it away and try to punch me or anything along those lines." He states as he reached into a pouch at his side and gathered up a handful of throwing blades. He looked at Oasis with a somewhat threatening glance before he began to throw them at her. Oasis went wide eyed as she flipped back and away from him her hands contacting the ground she gathered moisture from the ground and as she flipped again she slid her palms along the broad part of two knives and captured them with the water on her hands. She landed on her toes eyes fully aglow as she moved the knives into a forward position in her hands and then used the blades to swat down the remaining knives as he threw them at her. She drove them down in such a way that they landed in the ground points stuck into the earth and handles up just at her feet. Her eyes narrowed and the glow intensified as she scooped up the blades and with very short hesitation she turned the arsenal back on Itoku. However she wasn't throwing them just at him. She targeted around him as well. She didn't begin throwing yet, instead her glowing eyes picked out the best order and direction to throw each blade. She took a breath in and then threw the first two blades with a tight straight angle on Itoku she snapped to the side and leased a third blade before launching herself into the air towards Itoku, who had not moved yet from his rooted stance. He blocked the first two and prepared to block the third. Oasis with her airborne angle was able to take apart his movement style and then launch a fourth and fifth blade at Itoku from above before landing behind him and spinning around throwing the final blade at his back. Itoku was pleasantly surprised by the sudden increase in her speed as he went the block the third blade he hand the change the angle of reflection to counter the fourth blade. He pivoted in position and went to block the fifth blade however as he went to block it the sixth was moving faster than he had anticipated yet its trajectory was too high. He blinked as he tried to figure out why she would aim high, then it hit him, and the fifth blade almost did the same. He jumped back and watched as two blades thunked into the ground where he was standing. He let out a chuckle as he looked to Oasis who looked altogether winded. "How... did I do all that... so fast?" she questions as she looked to Itoku for answers.
"Why do you think I would bring you here. You were going in auto pilot there for the most part. In this realm you are a lot closer to the root of your inner strength than in any other." he states as he pointed up at the sky, oddly enough Oasis could see the moon, rather clearly and it was much larger than she had ever seen it before.
"The moon?" she questions incredulously. Itoku shrugged lightly and turned away from Oasis to walk towards the water fall.
"Not necessarily. I don't know for sure actually is a more appropriate answer." Itoku states as he gathered up his mask and then sat down in the grass. He plucked a reed from the tall grass by the basin of the falls and then looked to Oasis. "We need to train more later, however... Not right now. I really need to speak to your virtuous rabbit first." he states as he waved a hand and Oasis was ejected from that realm and returned to the quiet black of her normal mental training grounds.

Oasis opened her eyes when Hatsuma entered the room leaving her mental training state, a light trail of blue aura drifting from her eyes as she locked her attention onto her partner. She raised a hand and gave a similar gesture, though not for the reasons Hatsuma did. She just didn't feel overly energetic at the time. Oasis stood up and walked over to Hatsuma. "You did alot better than I did." she states lightly

A chill ran down Notwen's back and caused him to shudder. His injured shoulder began to bother him as well. The sharingan in his eyes deactivated on its own, causing the dark-skinned blonde to sigh.
Not this again... he thought. It seemed that his recent battles had agitated his internal injury, which hadn't troubled him since before the exams started. The crippled Uchiha looked around the room to see if he could find a healer. He knew Nova and Ishinon were combat-type shinobi. Kyu was a tracker who specialized in fighting, a style that was similar to Notwen's. The only one person whose role he wasn't certain of was the red-haired girl with blue markings that was traveling with Hatsuma. The dark-skinned blonde got up and walked over to the two Wind Country kunoichi and inclined his head before addressing the red-haired girl. "I apologize if i may be interrupting your conversation. My name is Notwen Uchiha, and i was wondering if you happen to know any medical jutsu." The point of the inquiry was to confirm that she was in fact a medic. If she did, then Notwen would proceed to tell her what was the reason behind his question.

Oasis tipped her head to the side lightly when a shinobi with a familiar tone of skin to that of Hatsuma approached her. He spoke to her actually "Hmm? Oh, Oasis is a medical shinobi yes." she states curiously wondering what he wanted of her, the last time she helped someone out he pretty much just walked off so she wasn't feeling all that giving at the moment. However she was a medic it was at her core, so she wouldn't deny someone, maybe that would prove to bite her in the rear end eventually. "Do you need something maybe?" she questions curiously.

The girl tipped her head to the side and confirmed she was a medic-nin, also introducing herself as Oasis. She had an odd way of speaking, but Notwen understood what she was saying with no difficulty. When Oasis asked what he needed, the dark-skinned blonde got straight to the point.
"A few months before the exams started i got into an accident. The result was the loss of my left arm, and a near-fatal internal injury. I was wondering if you could try healing it for me." Notwen hoped against all odds that Oasis would be successful in the healing process. Though he felt bad asking this much of her without offering something in return. "Is there something you would like from me as payment for your service?"
PostPosted: Mon Sep 19, 2011 3:37 pm

((what kind of check is it going against, or what neh? if its an actual system check then I most assuredly agree with Sai on wantin some Ryo XP.))

Oasis nodded lightly as she thought about his request. She was sure he was asking her to repair the internal injury, since she didn't know it if was even possible to restore a lost limb, especially well after the fact entirely ignoring the fact that he likely didn't have the limb for reattaching purposes. "Well, Oasis isn't the best medic around, but I can try." she states oddly switching vocal perspective on the fly, she didn't think anything of it, but it might confuse some people. "Well... Oasis didn't really bring any ryo for food, so, some food would be nice." she states with a grin as she thought about what she would need to do to help him.

"hello again, Notwen I believe..." Hatsuma greeted the one armed shinobi quite simply. It was odd the group he had come with had no medical inclined member with them, it was almost standard practice to have some one with at least basic knowledge to quickly patch up comrades during long missions. In truth she wasn't sure she had done much better in the matches than oasis, the fact of the matter was most of her opponents opted to go easy on her during the fights, the only person she was matched well against was her first opponent. "At least you lost no vital organs in whatever happened..." She stated attempting to converse casually while the championship match was setting to be under way.
PostPosted: Mon Sep 19, 2011 5:39 pm

((It's a Rank 8 Internal Critical. The Check would be vs 800))
Notwen was about to reply to Oasis when Hatsuma greeted him. The arachnid kunoichi had been silent for most of the earlier interaction and only said something after her red-haired team mate voiced her thoughts on payment for any healing. Based on what Hatsuma had said, Notwen got the feeling that his request may have been misinterpreted.
"Just to clarify any misunderstandings, when i said 'it' i was referring to my internal injury. I already accepted the loss of my limb. But you're right Hatsuma," The dark-skinned blonde paused, again recalling the incident in which he lost the appendage in question. "I am lucky that it was just my arm and nothing vital." Trying to veer the subject in a slightly different direction, Notwen began talking about the last fight. "By the way, What happened out there in your fight? I came in towards the end so i didn't see much of it?"

((Well when contesting against a critical, if you fail it goes up a rank doesn't it? Oasis stats are such right now that she can only get about 705 or so... so its like 41% chance or something. don't have the math done on it yet. however later I will be updating, but only when the event is done cause I want all the line bonus XP SO... o.O))

Oasis scrubbed her hands together lightly as she thought about it. She had really only taken care of simple surface injuries and two poisonings one of which was herself. "Eh... Oasis isn't sure... If she is capable of taking care of internal injuries." she states cautiously. "Wouldn't want to hurt you because Oasis isn't talented enough." she states nodding lightly, she knew fairly well that she wasn't all that talented as a healer. So she wasn't entirely sure she should be trying to heal someone especially if there was any risk that she could further his injuries.
