Everything just got wild when the lights when out.
Suddenly the tatzel's attention fell on Mitsu who began to glow under the new black lighting. The ghoul seemed a bit frazzled about what was going on, but as soon as Levi realized she too was glowing-
WHOOOO~!!!
Now it was a party; Levi was like some sort of beacon and she was loving the crazy concept of it. She began flickering her tail enthusiastically to try and make motion blurs in the air. Giggling (ACTUALLY giggling), her dress visibly ruffled like something caught in the wind when she started rustling it to see the glowing form move.
and then her better sense kicked back in. She coughed lightly again and watched the stage as Riley spoke. No way... It was Oogie Boogie?! The performance was spectacular. Her jaw basically dropped for the whole thing and when everything went black completely, she put two fingers to her mouth and whistled. Bravo
Them words... was the first thing that cme out of her mouth once the music and black lights returned. Eyes narrowed when she thought about Oogie's last words...

Cady arrived at the booth, panting a little. There was a post it note with songs scribbled on it- but there was also a very tempting green play button. Yes, that seemed much easier. She couldn't make out Ash in the gaggle of people, so she grabbed the mic and turned it on a little too close to the speakers. SKREEEEEEEEEEEEE."Er, hello there, boils and ghouls, my name is ScreeJay Cady, and I'm here to, you know, throw rocks at the house and stuff. Our first song is um, Walking with a Ghost in Paris, by, ah, Tea Gains a Sara Vermylo." Oh dear. She hoped she'd read that right.

The performance was rather well done. Jericho was definitely going to have to give Christof and Barth some props later on when he had the chance. But aside from the puppetry and singing, there was one part that caught his attention the most.
The throwing of the dice.
It was dim, but he was able to track the movements of the thrown objects. Quickly, he dashed to the side and reached up to snag one right out of the air. Looking it over quickly, he grinned to himself before nonchalantly slipping it into his pocket. It was his now.
As he returned to the group, he noticed Lizzy was clinging onto Mot. Hadn't she said she didn't generally cling to guys? Interesting.
He also noticed that Levi was looking a bit tense there.
"You ok?"
----
Remaining where he was, Shun watched the little show, amused in the least. It was entertaining and he also had to wonder if the puppet would be making a return later on. He supposed he'd find out sooner or later.
Lightly he gripped her shoulder during the performance. With as jumpy as she had been he wouldn't be surprised if it actually kind of scared her. That wouldn't really do he supposed.
"Well.. that was something.." he murmured.

Vaith was late-- After his familiar made a mess of his room, which he had yet to clean, he had hurriedly tried to put on the attire he had bought with Xiu from the maul. To be truthful, he wasn't sure which way it should be. Loose or buttoned up-- But when he stood in front of the reflective glass, he decided that he'd just do it entirely his way.
So with hair that was slightly flatter than usual, Vaith arrived with his orange tux and all. Except for the light layer of sweat that adorned his brow and his heavy breathing, indicating the reaper had run to the prom room, he was just a little bit annoyed-- Crap, he was late.
So the reaper stood a little questioningly and confused in the crowded prom room, red eyes scanning the crowd for Xiu. His hands were on his thighs, bent over, trying to gain his composure.
That long white hair .. Was that her? He wasn't sure what dress the demon was wearing, since she hadn't bought one at the maul with him. But .. the ghoul had her height. Cautiously tapping Xiu on the shoulder, he meant for the first words out of his mouth to be an apology for being late.

"N-not afraid the lights will hurt me..." The lupine muttered but she didn't have a chance to say more.
Mitsu attention had turned to the stage, eyes as wide as saucers during the whole performance. To say she had been scared speechless might have been the understatement of the year because even as the lights faded out and then everything slowly went back to normal she was still frozen in place.
At some point her hand had reached for Shun's sleeve, a firm grasp holding on like she would lose her way if not for this hold. It took her a few moments to realize the 'show' was over before she snapped out of her trance like state. "W-w-wow. T-that was...something." She stuttered. At least she wasn't lit up like a jack-o-lantern anymore.
"D-do you want s-something to eat?" She asked looking up at Shun her hands clenched just under her chin for the moment. That way they would be able to hide her face.

Her eyes were focused on the stage when the lights went out; she didn't want to look anywhere else, really... Especially since he's so close now. Part of her wanted to pretend like nothing happened - smile, give him a hug and probably annoy him in the process, but she couldn't bring herself to do it. Instead, she settled for standing where she was, her hand around Mot's arm.
When she felt a hand on hers, however, she looked up; it was warm. Comforting. She blushed and relaxed her grip, smiling up at the boil before taking his hand in hers just as the performance started.
... Oh look! A glowing Levi! She giggled as the ghoul started to dance a little; good, she was enjoying herself...
Riley was right in asking Christof to build stuff... And the vocals! That must be Barth? She was suddenly reminded of the Nightmare Before Christmas play, although that was a wreck and this was not. This was pretty good, actually, and she felt a shiver down her spine as the puppet moved around, that low voice singing in the background.
"That was... Amazing," She breathed, breaking into a grin as she looked up at Mot, her mood visibly lighter from before as her grip on Mot's hand tightened, as if trying to get his attention. She was so amazed that 'Oogie Boogie's' words did not phase her at all. After all, she was sure this was all part of some grand plan!

"Hey, Jericho!" Mac grinned, waving at the Dragon. "How've you been, man?" It'd been a while since his second embarrassing defeat at the skilled hands of the Dragon, and so far he didn't feel the need to completely resent him for his talents. It was fun to keep trying, and they both seemed to enjoy the competitive edge anyway.
Lizzy greeted him and he merely turned his attention towards her. "Hi, Lizzy." He repeated quietly, his gaze dropping towards her mouth for a moment, those lips of hers that had made this situation so...ugh uncomfortable. Luckily for him the lights went out and the black lights went on, making the ends of his sleeves poking out from his jacket and his collar glow. It also mostly hid Lizzy from view, and with a sigh he turned to watch the show.
It was impressive really, and he couldn't resist clapping for the performace. Wow, the students here went all out! As he turned his attention back to the table - careful to not look at Lizzy - he noticed Jericho's little grab.
"Nice catch, man! Oh, hey, have any of you seen Tess?" And no, Lizzy, he wasn't asking you.

Prom. The word made her both anxious and excited. If there was one thing she absolutely looked forward to, it was the dancing. The she-wolf didn't even care if she was dateless or if she were to go alone! Just being able to go out and dance, even in a dress, was enough to trump everything else. Although, she would have to privately admit, a lot had to do with the fact they had all started going back to classes again. Something normal. A way to get over everything that had happened. On top of that, though things were still a little tattered at the edges, their quartet was as they should be. Happy to be with one another. Which was how she'd wound up in the fancy dress and a nice hairstyle to keep her hair out of her face (mostly).
LW's eyes lit up as they had entered. All the decorations were so festive! And the general atmosphere was contagious. Violet eyes kept darting around and taking in everything. Oooh she wanted to skip out to the dance floor quite badly. There was nothing that made her feel carefree and giddy aside from dancing! And the two boils were already talking about dancing. With each other.
The she-wolf giggled at them both. "Pa-lease. I don't think it matters which of you lead. Neither of you will match me~" She grinned devilishly at them both with a wink towards Alessa. "Guess we'll just have to show the boils how it's done."
This plan was thwarted by the sudden loss of lights and glowing...objects and students? What the hell? Her eyes narrowed as, oh that voice could only belong to one demoness. Riley. She was speaking and the she-wolf just stared up towards the mindflayer. What was that mischievous demoness up to now? Her 'welcome' followed by the loud staticky noise made LW jump slightly and her hand clutched unto the closest person to her. Gabrian. She moved closer to the demon, not sure what they were all up to. And then there were lights, of a sort. And singing. And a dancing....Oogie Boogie?!
What....the Jack had that been about? The she-wolf felt something inside her tighten. This was supposed to be a fun and enjoyable atmosphere. That had not exactly been fun and enjoyable. Confusing and suspicious, yes. Maybe a little curious. But not amusing. Looking out at the crowd to see the reactions of those around her, someone familiar caught her attention and LW felt herself blush almost on que. It was Sparrow. And he was looking quite handsome in his soft blue suit. The color really was nice on him. She managed to give him a sweet smile, noticing his date. It made her grin brighten to something warm and she gave a small wave when catching his eye but didn't want to disrupt his night with his date in any other way.

The performance pleased the bakeneko as well, gaining a round of enthusiastic applause as well. The fun had officially started, it appeared. Though, with this realization one of his dates suddenly had to dash off. He barely had time to offer the manticore a nod to confirm that he'd heard her before she was gone.
A few short seconds later, the music had changed and he and Emily were left to themselves as Cady occupied the DJ booth. Deacon leaned down to the ghoul, as to be overheard through the music and the chatter of those trying to shout over it.
"Should we see what they've got to eat?" He asked, tilting his head in gesture toward where the tempting aromas were coming from. "We can take something up for Cady, too. In case she's there for a while."

What did you do when you were seated in the lap of someone trying to speak and then sing to a crowd? You tempted them, and tempted them again. This range particularly true when that boil was your prom date and although Lilith refrained from stopping him, she amused herself in various ways until he'd said his last words. She took a breath, adjusted the corset as well as her chest which was tied tightly with it, and then looked at the sloth demon very seriously as her arms gathered around his neck.
"Is that all you'll be needing your mouth to say, or can I claim it now?"
She smiled, and then laughed lightly.
"Or perhaps I should demand you dance with me first," she teased.

Xiu jerked her hands back abruptly, her eyes widening at the sneer that abruptly spread over Mac's face. Well, that was a sudden moodswing, wasn't it? The Baku made a note not to touch the other boil ever again (not that he wanted to touch him, thank you very much).
Pouting a little, she moved back to Lizzy's side, but not before noting a strange...tension? She wasn't sure how to put it, but Lizzy's previously cheerful disposition seemed to have changed the moment Mac arrived. Her brows creasing with concern, she leaned in to ask the other demoness if she was alright when the lights suddenly went out.
The performance drew her attention away and did a good job at reinstilling excitement in her. The prom was underway! And the performance...while impressing, it definitely sent a chill down her spine for some reason. Perhaps it was because it was a rather morbid thing to say at a prom, even for Amityville? There was just something about it that--
--Wait. Was someone touching her shoulder?
Jumping, Xiu whirled around quickly...only to find herself face to face with Vaith. She stared at him for a moment before letting out a loud, relieved sigh. Then she smiled, taking a moment to look at him up and down before nodding approvingly, "You look very handsome, Vaith! Not the super formal type though, I presume?" She eyed his unbuttoned suit with a laugh and reached out to tweak his tie, just to ensure that it wasn't hanging too crookedly.

The poor girl looked incredibly nervous right now. Even Shun's hand at her shoulder didn't seem to ease her too much. But the mention of food was a good idea. Perhaps that would help her relax.
Since they apparently had a table here already they may as well anyway. Normally he wouldn't really want to sit with such a big group of people, but the presence of the others might also help make the werewolf feel more at ease.
"Sure. Just.. try to relax. Really," he said while glancing down at the way Mitsu was holding her hands together.
"We'll be back," he murmured towards Lizzy and the others.
---
"Been doing pretty good," Jericho said in response to Mac, "How about you? And thanks!"
At the mention of Tess, he thought for the moment. He didn't recall seeing the legless girl anywhere around. Shaking his head to the reaper, he also gave a shrug.

"Oh no," Barth said, unclipping his microphone. "I'm quite through."
He leaned forward, having had quite enough of keeping his mouth busy with line-delivering, but was stopped by the laugh.
Barth noticed, for the first time, that there was music playing. He had almost forgotten dance floors involved dancing at all. It wasn't something that usually slipped his mind, but Lilith had been extremely distracting. "...Rather, err, fast-paced sort of song on, don't you think?" He asked, hopefully.

She clapped at Jericho's performance in catching the dice. Good move, Jericho! That was a mighty fine catchin'! N' yeah, no worrin' ... just... them last words were.... interestin' thar. She leaned in for the last bit, like it was some kind of mysterious secret. She didn't want to cause a commotion if she'd been the only one to think about the lyrics that way. Her face just a tad serious with concern.
The dragon boil was called on by another boil... Levi hadn't met yet. She stared at ...Mac, was it? He seemed to know Lizzy and Jericho. Staring for a bit, she watched the two boils speak while the demoness clung to her date partner for reasons unknown to the tatzel.
At Shun excusing himself and Mitsu, she nodded in understanding.

It shouldn't have come as any sort of surprise that they were late, though by all standards they weren't actually that late, for once! The reason for it? Well, that was simple: Charlie picked Amrita up.
Literally.
The Young Demon had appeared at the Undead Dorms and, moments after Amrita coerced DC into staying put, hoisted her in the air and took her outside. Charlie was an interesting mode of transportation, but one that didn't allow much of anything else; not even closing her dorm door, which remained wide open and creaking on it's hinges. Amrita had protested of course, whining quite loudly that her feet were perfectly fine and that she could walk on her own...but anyone who had ever dealt with Charlie knew that arguing with him once he set his mind on something was a very, very difficult task.
One she failed miserably.
He insisted on carrying her the whole way because, and she could quote later 'I have to!'. Yes, it was a compelling argument. Eventually they arrived, and it wasn't until Charlie stepped into the area with his date did he put her down without the immediate intention of picking her back up again. Being on her feet was something she was thankful for, and the little Vetala shot Charlie a look of gratitude for finally putting her down.
"Oh wow! CHARLIE this place looks amazing!" She cheered, hands near her mouth with excitement. "Wow! Hey! Let's go find the others!" Amrita's mind was on the event now, and not their unconventional method of arriving.
