 Basically, the kid who was handing Shadow a paper and pen looked like he was going to wet his pants.
Shadow rolled his eyes, taking the objects and writing his name in a way that was practically unreadable. He shoved them back to the kid. "Don't piss yourself."
The child quickly sped off. ((OOC: )) ~....Doesn't mean I don't HAVE them~

✎Trust me when I say....✐  𝕶𝖔𝖉𝖎 𝕸𝖆𝖗𝖙𝖎𝖓Kodi grew bored as she waited for the man to speak again and she sat down on the ground, proping her knees up and letting her arms lay on top of her knees, her head leaning back against the wall. Then, after about five minutes of collecting names, the man spoke again, "Now then, I will begin to draw names, when I call you and your partener's names, stand next to each other until everyone's paired up, that way we know who doesn't have a partner." he said and began to call names, lots of movement in the middle of the group could be seen as they all listened. Eventually groups of two were spread out across the grass, gaps in the crowd becoming large as there was no one standing by themselves besides... "And the last two names are... Kodi aaaand... Shadow." he smiled, looking up to see Kodi stare blankly at him and then over at Shadow to see his reaction.κϕȡɩ ɱɑятɪɴ✐...My bite is worse than my bark....✎

Shadow's eyes widened, breaking his normally-emotionless expression. Clearly, he was biting his tongue to hold back from saying something like "WHAT?!" After a moment, however, he regained his composion(CAN'T SPELL, MURRR :U), simply glaring up at the man slightly. ((OOC: )) ~....Doesn't mean I don't HAVE them~

✎Trust me when I say....✐ 𝕶𝖔𝖉𝖎 𝕸𝖆𝖗𝖙𝖎𝖓At first everyone was quiet. Shadow and Kodi? Everyone was imagining that it would not turn out so well if they were partners, considering the way they would talk to each other and treat each other. It was like putting fire and ice together. Kodi folded her arms over her knees and only let her eyes peek over them as she glared at the man. "Now that all the partners are decided, let me tell you what this competion is. For a total of three weeks, you and your partner will have to stay by the other's side. Sure, it seems pointless, but you'd be surprised at how fun it gets when the partners begin to drop out of the competition. Which ever pair can stand being around the other the longest, gets the grand prize." he said, and lifted up a small, brown, glossy, suitcase for everyone to see and Kodi's ears perked up, her eyes locking onto the suitcase. "I won't tell you what it is, but I'm sure an artists eye would be able to know immediatly what this case contains." he said, then set it back down, explaining the rules more thuroughly, "But there is a catch to this little game. You can't leave your partner's side... EVER... so that means you'll even have to be in the same room when they sleep, when they eat, even when they shower.... Remember, if you don't participate, there's a penalty, and the prize is quite nice. Three weeks is the longest that a pair has to stay together, let the games begin." he said, laughing lightly, but to Kodi it sounded like the evilest thing in the world. She wanted that prize... but she so wasn't going to spend three weeks with Shadow just to get it! They can hardly even stand each other for two hours! But she really, really wanted that prize. She let her forehead rest on her arms, confused as to which to do.κϕȡɩ ɱɑятɪɴ ✐...My bite is worse than my bark....✎

By this point, Shadow's quill-like hair was sticking up as much as it could, and a low growling noise was completely audible to anyone within ten feet of him. Obviously, he was not happy by these circumstances. All right, he could MAYBE stand to sleep in the same room as her--even eat in the same room--but asking him to practically shower with her?! Quite honestly, he'd prefer the penalty... ((OOC: Yes, yes it is, thank you. xD :3 Two hours? More like two minutes...xD Oh, and Shadow, you know you'd LOVE to shower with Kodi. Shadow: ...I'm going to rip out that throat of yours...)) ~....Doesn't mean I don't HAVE them~

Great now she'll have to worry about getting him to cooperate with her if she was planning to win that prize. The others were beginning to go inside already, most of them were staring at Shadow and Kodi, their looks were that of a mix of fear from the outcome of Kodi and Shadow spending more than the short moments they spend fighting, and triumphant becuase they felt they had a chance a winning. Kodi rolled her eyes, standing up and brushing herself off, "Well, let's see how this will turn out. Maybe I could taunt him into doing it." she smirked to herslef, but she hid it as she walked over to Shadow, folding her arms in front of herself and staring at him blankly.κϕȡɩ ɱɑятɪɴ ✐...My bite is worse than my bark....✎

Shadow didn't look at Kodi, glaring at the spot where the man had been standing.
"I swear he set this thing up just to torture us. He kept glancding to us, seeing what our reactionswere...b*****d... growled the hedgehog mutant. ((OOC: Oh taaaa~hush, Shadow. You'd love to shower with him. xD And does it involve the showering? o_O)) ~....Doesn't mean I don't HAVE them~
